Denny Love Joins Cast on ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 3 While Michael Beach Upped to Series Regular

The Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillion’s Paramount+ series Mayor Of Kingstown added Richard Brake, Denny Love, and Paula Malcomson in the third season of the popular crime thriller series.

If you’re not up to speed, it’s a pretty fun show. Here’s the official description: MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN follows the McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. Tackling themes of systemic racism, corruption and inequality, the series provides a stark look at their attempt to bring order and justice to a town that has neither.

If you remember series star Jeremy Renner, who plays the titular Mike McLusky, is back after a life-threatening accident involving his snow plow as he leads an ensemble including Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Nishi Munshi.

Breaking down the new casting as reported by Blavity’s Shadow and Act … “Brake will play Merle Callahan, one of the Aryan shot callers in Anchor Bay who is currently serving a life-sentence, Love will play Kevin Jackson a rookie prison guard and Malcomson will play Anna Fletcher, a woman from Kingstown with a request for Mike McLusky.”

Michael Beach, who is now a series regular, reprises his character as Police Captain Kareem Moore, who is one of the conflicted prison guard captains in the volatile Kingstown.

ICYMI, the first two seasons of Mayor Of Kingstown are running on Paramount+. Executive producers are Sheridan, Hugh Dillon, Jeremy Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Dave Erickson, and Regina Corrado. Erickson serves as the showrunner.

D Smoke may hail from a musical family, but that hasn’t stopped him from diving head-first into establishing an acting career. For many fans, seeing the Inglewood, California native on their television screens is nothing new, thanks to his appearance on Netflix’s Rhythm + Flow. In the role of Raphael, an intimate, the entertainer plays a vital part in the thriller show’s plot. Led by actor Jeremy Renner (in the role of Mike McLusky), D Smoke shared the screen with series regular Tobi Bamtefa (in the role of Bunny).

The episode is described as follows, “Mike, Bunny, and Raphael, along with Executive Producer Stephen Kay discuss Bunny’s attempts to restore balance in the prison camp even while putting himself in danger. Additionally, they elaborate on the waning trust Bunny has in Mike. Finally, Iris (played by Emma Laird) gives insight into Iris’s emotional return to Milo and how it may be what pushes Mike over the edge.”
