Sexyy Red Teased The Long-Awaited Release Of Her ‘F My Baby Dad’ Video With A Hilarious ‘Maury’-Inspired Trailer

Sexyy Red’s run of ratchet excellence continues with a Maury-inspired teaser for the long-awaited video for her fan-favorite single “Bow Bow Bow” — better known as “F My Baby Dad.” For those of you too young to have caught the lowbrow classic daytime talk show while staying home sick from school, host Maury Povich would often have guests on the show with paternity disputes that the show would then “resolve” (with a disclaimer protecting the show from any liability for false positives) with Povich’s signature catchphrase “you are/are not the baby’s father.”

The whole thing was equal parts hilariously entertaining and depressingly gross, making a spectacle of desperate, low-income people for their lack of “class” and decorum — basically a precursor for today’s more slickly presented modern reality TV. What can I say, it was the ’90s.

With that being said, Sexyy Red knows her audience and owns the characterization with tongue firmly in cheek, presenting the song’s guest feature Chief Keef (with whom she’s been rumored to be having a fling) as the dirtbag potential baby daddy. She even jokes that “I’m pregnant rn” in a tweet sharing the teaser, which … seems unlikely, but isn’t out of the realm of possibility, considering she just had her second child and isn’t shy about her (ahem) proclivities.

Shaq Bet Money On Episodes Of “Maury” During His NBA Career

Shaq recently revealed that he used to place huge bets on who the father was in episodes of Maury. “Every morning at 10 a.m., we’d wake up with thousands of dollars and we’d watch The Maury Povich Show. And we’d make bets on who the father is … Every day. So, like, we watch it, we let them talk, and then we pause and then we pull that money out. ‘I’ll bet you a thousand he’s not the father!’ So, that was my thing,” Shaq told The Big Podcast.

Maury broadcast over 5500 episodes between 1991 and 2022. Meanwhile, Shaq’s career spanned from 1992 to 2011. That means that feasibly, Shaq could have won and lost hundreds of thousands of dollars just from watching the popular, if controversial talk show.

Shaq Sides With Giannis On Pacers Game Ball Dispute

However, Maury isn’t the only controversial topic that Shaq has weighed in on recently. Speaking with TMZ, Shaq said he sided with Giannis Antetokounmpo in the debate over who should get the game ball from the Bucks recent game with the Pacers. “I think by the letter of the law, if you’re playing at home, you should get the ball in both circumstances. But, you know I think Giannis had the right to be upset. [Speaking as Giannis] ‘Hey, We’re in Milwaukee, I just made history, I want the ball.’ And you know, he went after the ball,” Shaq explained.

Tensions flared between Giannis and members of the Indiana Pacers after the Pacers seemingly took the game ball from Giannis’ record-breaking night. A scuffle ensued in the corridor outside the visitors’ locker room as Giannis confronted Tyrese Haliburton amongst others. This led to two versions of events. Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said the team took the ball to mark Oscar Tshiebwe’s first career points. Meanwhile, Giannis said he went looking for the ball to mark Damian Lillard moving into fifth place on the career three-pointers list. However, both Giannis and Carlisle agreed that the confrontation was “unfortunate”.

Maury Povich’s legendary daytime talk show is over, but there are families worldwide that need to know who the true father is. According to TMZ, Maury has a solution, launching an at-home DNA paternity testing company named The Results Are In.

The new test kits will include instructions on how to administer a DNA sample, which will be sent to a Diagnostics Center for processing.

“I’ve seen firsthand how DNA testing can change lives and bring families together,” Povich, age 84, said. “With ‘The Results Are In,’ we’re making it easier and more affordable than ever before for people to get the answers they need.”

After over 30 seasons on the air, NBCUniversal has canceled Maury. The cancellation happened in March 2022.

The show was hosted and executive produced by Maury Povich. New episodes will air this September, then reruns will air through syndication. The show was launched in 1991 by Paramount Domestic Television. According to Deadline, the decision to cancel was mutual between the studio and Maury Povich.

“Maury and I decided two years ago that this season would be the farewell season for the show, and while his retirement is bittersweet, we are so happy for him to be able to spend more time on the golf course,” Tracie Wilson, EVP, NBCUniversal Syndication Studios, said in a statement to Deadline. “Maury is a television icon, a pop culture legend and we couldn’t be more proud to have been a part of his incredible career.”

Maury added, “Six years ago when I was ready to retire, my the NBCUniversal family asked me to continue the show. Even though I told them I was ready for assisted living, out of loyalty to NBCUniversal and my more than 100 staff and crew members, Tracie Wilson and I agreed to one more deal. I’m so proud of my relationship with NBCUniversal and all those who worked on the Maury show but as I occasionally tell my guests on Maury, ‘Enough, already!’”

Back in November 2021, Maury had a special guest in Lil Nas X. The 22-year-old “Industry Baby” artist’ appeared on the November 17th episode to confront his now ex-boyfriend, Yai Ariza. In the episode, Nas finds out Yai was married while they dated.

The Paternity Experts At ‘Maury’ Responded Perfectly To Nick Cannon Having Yet Another Baby

This year, Maury, the show that made the phrase “You are NOT the father” a recognizable pop culture reference, ended, 31 seasons after its 1991 debut. While the program has wrapped up, it apparently still has a social media team, who saw an opportunity with some recent news and beautifully seized it.

Perhaps more than any other celebrity, Nick Cannon is a famous haver of children, and he just announced this week that his tenth child is on the way with model Brittany Bell. (He’s already expecting a ninth child, too, with Abby De La Rosa.) So, as that story made the rounds, the folks at Maury played off their status as a dad-associated show and came through with a perfect tweet. They shared a post about the incoming bundle of joy and wrote simply, “Wildn,” of course a reference to Cannon’s show Wild ‘n Out.

As for what Cannon had to say about his continually full nest, he wrote on Instagram, “Time Stopped and This Happened…” That was the caption of a three-minute video announcing the new child.

Cannon’s children who have already been born are twins Monroe Cannon and Moroccan Scott Cannon (with Mariah Carey), Golden Cannon, Legendary Love Cannon, Zen S. Cannon, — who passed away last December at five months old — Zion Mixolydian Cannon, Zillion Heir Cannon, and Powerful Queen Cannon.

Lil Nas X’s Hilarious Appearance On ‘Maury’ Is Filled With Baby Daddy Drama

Last week, in another awesome display of promotion and marketing, Lil Nas X announced that he would appear on Maury to sort out some relationship drama. As promised, that episode arrived on Wednesday and it’s filled with equal amounts of comedy and drama. The entire story began with Lil Nas’ “That’s What I Want” video, which he released along with his official debut album Montero. In it, he and his love interest, who is played by Yai Ariza (the singer’s real-life ex-boyfriend), quickly fall for each other, but Lil Nas later finds out that Ariza is hiding a wife and child.

That brings us to the Maury episode. “Montero and Yai are football teammates who quickly became lovers. Montero was shocked to discover soon after that Yai was married with a child,” the video’s description reads. “Now, Montero is here to tell Yai’s wife, Ashley, about their secret love affair. Maury will get the answers they need. Will Montero get exactly what he wants?”

Lil Nas previously spoke about his relationship with Ariza during a past interview on SiriusXM. “We were dating, and we are still on very good terms,” he said. “You know, we may date again I’m sure. I love him, he is amazing.”

Lil Nas X Will Appear On ‘Maury’ After Finding Himself In A Shocking Love Triangle

Back in September, Lil Nas X shared his long-awaited debut album Montero, and with it came a music video for “That’s What I Want.” The visual sees Lil Nas fall for a teammate on his football team, and while their relationship quickly progresses, the singer soon finds out that his new partner is living a secret life. Lil Nas learns that his lover actually has a wife and a child, and just like anyone would do after a discovery like this, he decided a visit to Maury was absolutely necessary.

On November 17, Lil Nas will appear on the popular show to sort out the love triangle. The news was shared through a dramatic trailer that shows Lil Nas’ shocked reaction to learning that the “love of his life,” Yai Ariza, is living a secret life. As expected, the episode is packed with dramatic moments like Ariza submitting a paternity test to find out if he’s the father of his 4-year-old son. He also offers a ring to Lil Nas, who dramatically runs away, in the brief trailer. Maury, is clearly amused by the dramatic events as he asks, “Is Yai the dad…or will Montero get exactly what he wants?”

Ariza is also the real-life ex-boyfriend of Lil Nas, something the singer spoke about in a previous interview. “We were dating, and we are still on very good terms,” he said during a conversation on SiriusXM. “You know, we may date again I’m sure. I love him, he is amazing.”

You can watch the trailer in the video above and check out the full episode when it airs next Wednesday.
