Megan Thee Stallion is easily one of the biggest women rappers in the entire world right now. Overall, she has delivered some big hits, and fans continue to tune in for her work. In fact, she has already had a massive start to 2024. Her song “Hiss” hit number one on the Billboard charts after she took some serious shots at Nicki Minaj. This subsequently led to Nicki’s song “Big Foot” which turned out to be a bit of a flop. Meg seemingly won the beef, and now, she is continuing to tease new music, and even a potential project.
In fact, she recently put out a song with GloRilla called “Wanna Be” which has even led to a viral challenge. In the follow-up to this track, Meg is now promoting her latest magazine cover. As you can see below, Meg found herself on the cover of Women’s Health. When someone graces the cover of these magazines, they usually do so in the nude as to show off the person’s physique. Meg has been adamant about her recent exploits in the gym, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Women’s Health would ask her to take part in this campaign.
Within the carousel images above, you can see that Meg took multiple pictures for this photoshoot. She is naked in all of the photos, and delivers numerous poses. Her fans were loving the images, with one person writing “Giiirrrlll, this is what they mean when they say body like wow.” Another mentioned the fact that Meg’s haters are going to be livid. “The haters are about to be BIG mad for more reasons than one. Mind, body and spirit work- you did that sis!” they wrote.

Being a rapper’s baby mama is something that many Instagram baddies aspire to, but these days, MCs are becoming increasingly protective of who they start families with. Sophie Brussaux and Drake’s co-parenting situation was tricky when Adonis was first born, but they’ve been able to navigate the muddy waters and get themselves to a good place. The same can’t be said for Rick Ross and Tia Kemp, who continue to trade shots online long after their issues began in the 2000s.
Earlier this week, throwback photos of the social media personality surfaced, dating back to her 2009 Smooth cover shoot. Not only does Rozay’s ex wear barely anything for the photos, but to add insult to injury she had 50 Cent pose alongside her. In the cover shot, Kemp confidently stands above the New Yorker in just black panties, a sparkly see-through cover-up, and vibrant red heels. From the ground, Curtis Jackson holds an old-school camera up at Kemp, seeking to capture more sexy photos of her. “Where’s the beef? Guest editor 50 Cent introduces Rock Ross’ baby mama Tia!” one of the subheadings on the magazine declares.
As the saucy pictures make rounds on Twitter/X and blogs, some are just now finding out that Fif and the Biggest Boss’ drama is nothing new. “Backstory: Rick Ross repossessed a Range Rover from Tia Kemp, leaving her and their son without a vehicle, until, you guessed it, 50 Cent stepped in.”
As her online war with Rick Ross rages onward, Tia Kemp continues to spill tea about her co-parent online. Among her latest revelations are allegations about Rozay having a secret child who resembles Drake, causing hip-hop heads to raise their eyebrows. Read all about that at the link below, and check back later for more music/pop culture news updates.
Lil Uzi Vert has faced criticism and backlash from fans for his recent bloody photo shoot with 032c Magazine. It is another instance in a longline of accusations of “Satanism” leveraged at the rapper. The magazine cover features Lil Uzi with an upside-down cross painted on his forehead and blood coming out of his nostrils. While it can certainly be said that the rapper is drawing up “Satanic” imagery and themes, the rapper is almost certainly not actually a Satanist. However, that didn’t stop fans and critics from expressing disappointment.
Fans took to the magazine’s comment section to express their disapproval. One critic straight up referring to Uzi’s behavior as “Satanic.” Another accused him of using his music to brainwash and confuse the youth. This is not the first time the Philadelphia rapper has been accused of Satanic behavior. He previously performed a song with lyrics referencing Satan during his Rolling Loud California set. Of course, this drew criticism from other rappers and fans alike. Tony Yayo, a member of G-Unit, expressed his disbelief. He stated that he personally believes in God and finds Uzi’s lyrics to be too extreme. Summer Walker also voiced her concerns about the trendiness of demon worship. She questioned whether those promoting it had actually encountered or understood the gravity of such entities.
After the Rolling Loud song performance criticism got too loud to ignore, Lil Uzi Vert eventually responded to the backlash. In the aforementioned song, he raps the line, “I make a City Girl believe in Satan.” While this isn’t the first time Uzi has mentioned the devil in his music, this particular lyric sparked significant pearl-clutching. Apparently, it even led to a pastor denouncing the rapper during a sermon. The pastor highlighted not only this lyric but also other instances where Lil Uzi Vert had referenced the devil in his songs throughout the years.
During a recent encounter with TMZ, Uzi addressed the backlash and clarified his intentions behind the controversial lyric. He confirmed that his upcoming album, Pink Tape, would be released in the next few months. He also said that the song performed at Rolling Loud would be included on the tracklist. When explaining the meaning behind the lyric, he clarified that the line had nothing to do with Satan. Rather, it meant that he has influence over women. Uzi also mentioned that JT, of the City Girls, didn’t think much of the lyric when he discussed it with her.
Rihanna has graced so many magazine covers that her photogenic magnetism is undeniable. Make no mistake; it is not just a matter of beauty. When examing and unpacking the mythical ‘it’ factor, Rihanna has an abundance, channeling a mystique that has given her a long list of ‘best magazine covers.’ Her accented vocals have been her calling card, and she can transition from contralto to mezzo-soprano with perfect ease. Equally important to her vocals is that she can juggle raps while parlaying introspective choruses. In addition, she is a master of infectious beats and singalong verses. With the magic of one album, she can make a person party, slow dance, and weep.
Consequently, her craft, artistry, and innovative genius are as much a factor for her fame as her beauty. Therefore, seeing her on any magazine cover is never a surprise. Her hazel eyes are forever purposeful yet ludic and coy, telegraphing that she comes for both play and business. In essence, she constantly tests the boundaries of a musical world. Even when fans cannot attend her concerts, her many appearances in magazine layouts like Vogue and GQ bridge the distance. As for the many covers that have helped build her empire and solidify her reputation, here are some of the best.
British Vogue, September 2018
Whether it’s the British or the American version, September is always Vogue Magazine’s mega month. It is the thickest issue; even the advertisements are artful and glamorous. It was in September 2018 that Rihanna appeared on British Vogue’s cover. She sidestepped gloss and artificial sophistication, looking like a woodland sprite from an haute couture fairy tale.
Yusef Williams did her hair, and Isamaya French was responsible for her makeup. The photos feature fantastical playfulness run amuck. Flowers crowned her head in brilliant citruses and pinks. Her razor-thin eyebrows temporarily resurrected the plucked looks of Jean Harlow circa the 1930s. In addition, the liquified plum lipstick signaled a love for goth-glam themes.
GQ, January 2010
GQ’s January 2010 cover featured Rihanna in an article titled “Good Girl Gone Badass.” It showed her rapidly coming into her own regarding her creative prowess and ability to call the shots in a multi-hyphenated career. Her hair was playfully teased, and her arms were casually crossed over her bare chest. The photoshoot occurred days after the singer’s now-famous interview with Diane Sawyer, where she discussed the turmoil of her Chris Brown relationship. Despite the intimacy of that interview, the GQcover was a reminder of how strong and self-assured Rihanna was and continues to be.
Dazed and Confused, Autumn 2021
For the Autumn 2021 issue of Dazed and Confused Magazine, Rihanna embraced the unorthodoxy of a femme fatale who doesn’t need validation. In Rafael Pavarotti’s photos, she modeled a futuristic and retro look. On the cover, she wore a coppery catsuit with material that fit like metallic snakeskin. Her cropped hair might have advertised androgyny on anyone else; on Riri, it was a superhero look, heralding her daredevil ethos. Additional photos showed her in a lipstick-red catsuit. She also wore an oversized hat that looked sprung from the Mad Hatter’s closet.
Vogue, November 2019
Let it never be said that there isn’t a love affair between Rihanna and Vogue. The November 2019 issue showed the singer in her own Fenty designs. In addition to talking to the magazine about her ‘gothleisiure’ looks, Rihanna also discussed the inclusivity of her brand. Her makeup line has 50 shades of hydrating foundation for various skin types, and her clothing comes in sizes for every body type. Rihanna sported a Fenty tulle coat for the cover and accessorized with Forevermark x Jade Trau earrings. Once again, Yusef Williams did her hair. Makeup artist Kanako Takase did her makeup in a soft tableau of natural shades. The Fashion Editor for the entire shoot was Tonne Goodman.
Vogue, May 2022
The behind-the-scenes footage of Rihanna’s Vogue May 2022 cover shoot showed a megastar entirely at ease with her success. She wore various looks that flaunted her baby bump. In some photos, she also donned Savage X Fenty briefs and a Marc Jacobs coat. She admitted to surrendering and enjoying her journey as a musical megastar, even as she slipped into a cinched white latex gown that revealed the belly as much as the décolleté. On the cover, she sizzled in a red lace catsuit. With photos by Annie Liebowitz, the camera embraced Rihanna as much as it captured her. The camera angles force readers to look up at the chanteuse as if daring anyone to underestimate her.
BritishGQ, December 2013
For their 25th Anniversary cover, British GQ transmogrified Rihanna into Medusa. Though Medusa is a monster of Greek mythology, it is worth noting that her powers often persuade audiences to think of her as more of a goddess. In the myths, Medusa turns onlookers into stone even as she mesmerizes them with her snake tendrils. Taking on the come-hither deceptive seduction of that most famous Gorgon, Rihanna’s name was emblazoned on the magazine’s cover; she needed no subheading or logline.
Like so many mononymous stars – Cher, Madonna, Beyonce – Rihanna only needed her name to capture the public. For the magazine, she collaborated with Damien Hirst, one of Britain’s richest and most acclaimed artists whose past work has included various installations and collaborations with the house of McQueen. Together, the singer and artist took the magazine’s images to the very edge of fashion.
Mariah the Scientist faced backlash earlier this week after her cover for Galore Magazine sparked a debate on social media. Appearing to hold a baby while speaking to an inmate through glass, many accused the R&B songstress of portraying a baby momma image without having any kids of her own.
The 25-year-old’s magazine shoot went viral shortly after its debut, featuring a theme of Mariah visiting someone in jail or prison. She’s romantically linked with rapper Young Thug, who is presently behind bars and facing federal RICO charges.
Dragging Mariah for the photos, one user wrote on Twitter, “Mariah the Scientist makes it so hard to defend her because why are you acting like a jailbird baby momma and who baby is that.”
“I love Mariah the scientist but the photoshoot she did was definitely tasteless,” another person tweeted. “People are really suffering from being apart from their loved ones who are in prison & to do a prison themed shoot, to make it look fashionable was just bad on all parties involved.”
Confused about the direction of the photos, one user added, “Mariah the Scientist cosplaying as a babymom who’s baby dad is in jail is so fucking weird. Then she holding her shirt up showing her titties like what is going awn????”
Seemingly responding to the backlash, Mariah tweeted Tuesday afternoon, “Everything I do get y’all tight, hate that for you.”
During her accompanying interview with Galore, Mariah offered fans an update on what’s in store for her in the new year.
“Well, I wanna put out another single before the year is over with and then I wanna do maybe one more in the new year and I want to put a project out,” the Atlanta native revealed. She also shared that she wants to go on tour again.
Young Thug, who’s expected to stand trial in January 2023, also spoke with the magazine about his relationship with the singer. He said in the sit-down, “I feel like she’s therapy for me. You know, she takes her time, she listens, she assists, she allows me to fully be me.”
The rapper also interviewed Mariah himself for Galore, asking her at one point why she decided to take a chance on him.
Gushing about her boyfriend, the “Bout Mine” singer admitted, “You were pretty charming but never overbearing. You are very confident. You stand out amongst all men on planet earth and extraterrestrials. The thing that made me say yes though to be yours, I feel very complimentary with you.”
“I feel like you teach me a lot of things and vice versa,” she then added. “And I feel like the things I lack, you don’t just balance out the areas.”
