Tory Lanez Wants Superficial Love & The Real Thing On Latest R&B-tinged Lost Tapes

Tory Lanez has always had one of the better singing voices for a rapper since he came out back in the early 2010s. It’s pushed him into the mainstream with some of his biggest songs having that R&B flare. All you have to do is check out his top five popular songs on Spotify. “Say It,” “The Color Violet,” “Hurts Me,” and “Lavender Sunflower” occupy four of the spots. It’s been an age-old question between his fans of which version of Tory is better. Well, that aforementioned fact is a telling sign as to where most listeners of his lean.

If you are one of them, then you may enjoy Tory Lanez’s newest additions to the “Free Tory Playlist.” This week, he’s delivered “Transaction” and “Just The Way,” two “Lost Tapes” from 2022. Some of these tracks have been pulled from the beloved “Fargo Fridays” era. However, these seem to be two unfamiliar releases. Another trend in this prolific series is that the two tracks usually differ sonically and tonally. It’s kept alive this time around too, with “Transaction” being more about spending for a good time with promiscuous women. Conversely, “Just The Way” hears Tory wanting a more emotional connection. See which vibe you’re rocking with more by visiting the links below.

Tory Lanez Shares His Most Recent Lost Tape Within Latest Entries To The “Free Tory Playlist”

The “Free Tory Playlist” (Spotify exclusive) has some new tracks in the mix. Tory Lanez is back with a recording from 2019 called “Blessed,” and one from 2022 titled “B.B.O.” (Bad B****es Only). The latter is now the most recent Lost Tape yet, unless you count his one and only Twitch Tape (so far) “Rodeo Drive” as such. According to its Genius annotation, it was first previewed back in May of 2022. “B.B.O.” doesn’t not have much information on it, so we are unsure as to when Lanez concocted it. Speaking of which, the same can be said about “Blessed.”

Both of these Lost Tapes seem to be two of the more unsung loosies from this series. However, that isn’t a bad thing really. The reason being is because Tory Lanez might have his catchiest tunes so far with these two. Each song is ready for a club setting with their tones being confident and lively. Additionally, the melodies bring the vibes up tenfold, adding to that accessibility factor. “Blessed” finds Tory thankful for his cushy lifestyle and being able to afford things he was not able to while coming up. “B.B.O.” is geared for the club-going ladies who are prepping for a night out downtown. You can hear the Lost Tapes for yourself with the links below.

Imma do anything to protect my check, Imma do anything just respect my flex, yes

Tory Lanez Includes A Desiigner Collab In This Week’s Edition Of The Lost Tapes

Tory Lanez isn’t slowing down on the Lost Tapes one bit, as this week presents two 2019 cuts with one featuring Desiigner. Throughout these last couple of months, the Canadian jack of all trades has hit us with certain themes for these weekly releases. Sometimes it’s a combo of songs from a particular year. On other occasions he sticks with a certain genre. Or he will hit fans with uber-aggressive rapping or his auto-tuned R&B cuts. The latter is the case this time around, as Lanez (and Desiigner) are focusing on sex and raunchy intimacy.

“Slow Fade” is about the hitmakers’ poor dating practice tendencies, as they focus more on having a good time rather than sticking around for the long term. Conversely, “Alexandria” sees Tory hooked on a woman and how he wants to see things last. Every time Lanez drops these Lost Tapes, it’s always interesting to see what ideas he was cooking up at each time. Listening to “Alexandria” and “Slow Fade” you can certainly hear that these were created in the vein of 2018’s LoVE me NOw. There are also some hints of Chixtape 5 in both as well, as he was in that crooning mode on each tape. You can check out “Alexandria” and “Slow Fade” with the YouTube links provided below.

Call me later on, I might put up half a mill’
And you gon’ back that a** ’cause you know I really will, yeah

Tory Lanez Officially Releases Prized 2016 Throwaways “Real Addresses” & “For Real” In Lost Tapes Format

The FARGO FRIDAYS era for Tory Lanez was a special time. If you have been following the website closely, you may remember that it was a collaboration between us and the Canadian rapper and singer. It lasted for a few years, ultimately wrapping up in 2017 with “I Sip.” Overall, there are 36 songs in total and a lot of them are some of his fans’ favorites. One of them for sure is 2016’s “Real Addresses,” which made a massive splash on YouTube. It’s been floating around the internet since that time and on DSPs under a different user on Spotify.

But recently, Tory Lanez, through his weekly “Lost Tapes” series, has brought out “Real Addresses” officially. However, if you have been paying attention to this stretch of his career, you would know he gives his fans a twofer. The equally aggressive and hype “For Real” from 2016 is also a part of this drop. It’s a great time for his supporters, as they have been rejoicing online over this move to finally bring them out on DSPs. However, this weekend, he hasn’t dropped. Hopefully, this trend won’t continue, but we’d understand given Lanez’s circumstances. For now, revisit “Real Addresses” and “For Real” below.

Tory Lanez Includes His Oldest Lost Tape Yet In Latest Installment To The Playlist

Fans may be missing the “Prison Tapes” from Tory Lanez, but he’s still chugging along with the “Lost Tapes”, thankfully. Sure, they may just be official rereleases of tracks that have been floating around the internet. But it’s nice to have them all in one place if you are a music junkie. Throughout this weekly drop pattern, there have been some themes and firsts. This week, Tory is rapping about some celebrities and he’s also leaving off his oldest “Lost Tape” yet. The titles are “Tim Duncan”, which is a recording from 2015 and was a part of the Fargo Fridays run that started in 2014.

The other is “Teyana”, and this one was laid down in 2013. The cool thing about these reissues is that we get to hear what sort of mindset the Canadian was in, but also the sounds he was playing around with. At least for us, “Tim Duncan” was a memorable track from that Fargo Fridays era thanks to Tory’s hungry rapping over the sped up and slowed down portions of the five-minute record. Like most weeks during this Free Tory Playlist run, he’s been flexing his duality. So, giving us a more R&B cut like “Teyana” was to be expected. The cool history with this one was that it was his way of shooting his shot at Ms. Taylor. She would respond on her song, “Dreams”, saying she was taken.

Tory Lanez Is Stuck On Past Flings On “Time Away” & “Topless In Miami”

Tory Lanez fans definitely shed a few tears about a week and a half ago when he announced the temporary end to the “Prison Tapes”. The Canadian rapper/singer hybrid had his cell raided and during the search, any and all recording equipment was swiftly taken. Fans were quick to the point the finger at Roc Nation (Megan Thee Stallion’s management) for being behind this. Just a day later, Tory Lanez took to Instagram with a lengthy letter to his supporters to confirm the initial reports. “My cell was not raided and trashed because I learned how to record myself in prison or because I created ‘The Prison Tapes’. I was shut down because the ‘HIGHER UPS’ figured out what I was really doing with ‘The Prison Tapes’ and how many inmates were being helped in a life changing way because of them”.

Despite this massive setback and the unknown future surrounding these charitable tracks, he’s still providing “new” music. “The Lost Tapes” are still going strong, as evidenced by last week and now this weekend too. For this Thursday and Friday, Tory Lanez is back with two love cuts, “Time Away” and “Topless in Miami”. The former is a 2019 leftover, and the latter comes from one of his peak years in 2016. Both songs tell supposedly real past relationships and the good times that he had with each one. Overall, they don’t have a lot of lyrics in the literal sense, but they still bring solid vibes despite the short run times. Give them a spin below.

Tory Lanez Keeps His Playlist Alive With “Time” & “Look No Further” Lost Tapes

It’s been a rough few days for Tory Lanez and his fans. On Monday, September 9, reports came through that his prison cell was raided. During that search, any sort of recording equipment was confiscated, putting his Prison Tapes in immediate jeopardy. If you haven’t been following the Canadian rapper’s activity lately, he’s been recording new songs in real time behind prison walls. He’s been compiling them into a Free Tory Playlist for just over two months now. Then, a couple of days later, the rapper/singer penned a message revealing that the worst was true and that they are not going to be happening “until further notice”.

Even though his good deeds for both listeners and his fellow inmates alike are on hold, he’s still getting music out there. Yesterday and today, Tory Lanez added new songs to the playlist and those are “Look No Further” and “Time”. Both are Lost Tapes and are from 2016. Additionally, each come from his FARGO FRIDAYS run he started back in 2014 and concluded in 2017. Some of the songs during this stretch were released onto streaming such as “Acting Like”, “I Sip”, “Diego”, “Traphouse”, and more. Now, both “Look No Further” and “Time” are getting that same love.

Tory Lanez Opts For Dancehall/Latin Sounds On “TOCA” & “Eediot Bwoy” Singles

Since the beginning of this Lost Tapes/Prison Tapes/ Twitch Tapes series, Tory Lanez has been giving fans a lot of what we normally expect. That is a lot of trap/R&B cuts which showcase his trademark singing and rapping abilities. However, what we have not received a lot of is genre crossover tracks. Well, if you have been waiting on something like this from the Canadian, this weekend is your lucky weekend. Leading of the September additions to the playlist are “TOCA” and “Eediot Bwoy”. Both are labeled as Lost Tapes, with “TOCA” being a lost recording from 2017 and “Eediot Bwoy” coming out of the year 2020.

For the most part, a lot of the tracks didn’t seem to have a home of any kind. However, one of them this time through is not a loosie. According to a still unreviewed annotation for “TOCA”, this was supposed to be on tape from that same year, assumedly. Tory had been working on an all-Latin music project called El Aqua. However, that sadly hasn’t come to fruition, at least just yet. The person responsible for revealing this information claims it’s still in the works, so we will have to see what happens. Although, with Lanez behind bars for 10 years, that window of opportunity could have shut. We can dream, though. Similarly, “Eediot Bwoy” is another tropical dancehall-esque cut, so its clear there was a theme for this week’s releases. Check them out with the links below.

Tory Lanez Treats Fans To Three New Tracks For His Prison Tapes Pack

Tory Lanez is already putting in so much work while behind bars. So, as fans, we are extremely appreciative that his going above and beyond this week. If you haven’t been keeping up with his musical output as of late, the rapper and singer has been dropping a two-piece every weekend for over a month. It’s all for his new Prison Tapes series/playlist, and it originally started with him uncovering some old recordings throughout multiple eras in his career.

He’s still doing that, but as of late Tory Lanez has been putting in extra hours to record new material while in prison. Making things even more impressive is that the quality of the tracks is up to snuff with artists who have the benefit of recording in an actual studio. It seems that each Tory fan has their favorite set of tracks from these weekly releases, and ours might be this one. This time through, he’s delivering a never before seen three-pack. “Appellate Court Freestyle”, which features AWOL$, “Tommie’s Interlude”, and “Basement” are the titles. The first is probably out favorite and arguably features Lanez’s best rapping performance as he airs out his stresses, his views on the double standards in society and more.

Tory Lanez Brings Sad & Steamy Vibes On Newest Lost Tapes Entries, “Girls In The Room (2020) / L.M.B.B (2018)”

Since the start of July, Brampton, Ontario, Canadian native Tory Lanez has been dishing out some unreleased recordings under the “Lost Tapes” moniker. He has done so every weekend and their existences range from 2015-2020. All of these releases see the multi-hyphenate using his auto-crooning style, which means that R&B is the name of the game. Fans of his continuously debate which side of him they prefer. But with him serving 10 years of prison time, any “new” music from Tory is going to be a welcome sight for now.

The topical focus for these now six different tracks has centered around falling in and out of love and getting absolutely freaky in the bedroom. That remains to be the formula on Tory Lanez’s two latest “Lost Tapes” installments, “Girls In The Room (2020)” and “L.M.B.B (2018)”. On the former, Daystar Peterson is drunkenly singing to a girl who has he has felt strongly about for some time. He tries to snake his way into her heart by telling this woman that she is messing around with the wrong guys. Conversely, “L.M.B.B” sees Tory losing “baddest b****” after she played with his feelings. Listen to these new tracks and let us know if these are your favorites from the series so far in the comments.
