Tory Lanez Keeps His Playlist Alive With “Time” & “Look No Further” Lost Tapes

It’s been a rough few days for Tory Lanez and his fans. On Monday, September 9, reports came through that his prison cell was raided. During that search, any sort of recording equipment was confiscated, putting his Prison Tapes in immediate jeopardy. If you haven’t been following the Canadian rapper’s activity lately, he’s been recording new songs in real time behind prison walls. He’s been compiling them into a Free Tory Playlist for just over two months now. Then, a couple of days later, the rapper/singer penned a message revealing that the worst was true and that they are not going to be happening “until further notice”.

Even though his good deeds for both listeners and his fellow inmates alike are on hold, he’s still getting music out there. Yesterday and today, Tory Lanez added new songs to the playlist and those are “Look No Further” and “Time”. Both are Lost Tapes and are from 2016. Additionally, each come from his FARGO FRIDAYS run he started back in 2014 and concluded in 2017. Some of the songs during this stretch were released onto streaming such as “Acting Like”, “I Sip”, “Diego”, “Traphouse”, and more. Now, both “Look No Further” and “Time” are getting that same love.

Tory Lanez Opts For Dancehall/Latin Sounds On “TOCA” & “Eediot Bwoy” Singles

Since the beginning of this Lost Tapes/Prison Tapes/ Twitch Tapes series, Tory Lanez has been giving fans a lot of what we normally expect. That is a lot of trap/R&B cuts which showcase his trademark singing and rapping abilities. However, what we have not received a lot of is genre crossover tracks. Well, if you have been waiting on something like this from the Canadian, this weekend is your lucky weekend. Leading of the September additions to the playlist are “TOCA” and “Eediot Bwoy”. Both are labeled as Lost Tapes, with “TOCA” being a lost recording from 2017 and “Eediot Bwoy” coming out of the year 2020.

For the most part, a lot of the tracks didn’t seem to have a home of any kind. However, one of them this time through is not a loosie. According to a still unreviewed annotation for “TOCA”, this was supposed to be on tape from that same year, assumedly. Tory had been working on an all-Latin music project called El Aqua. However, that sadly hasn’t come to fruition, at least just yet. The person responsible for revealing this information claims it’s still in the works, so we will have to see what happens. Although, with Lanez behind bars for 10 years, that window of opportunity could have shut. We can dream, though. Similarly, “Eediot Bwoy” is another tropical dancehall-esque cut, so its clear there was a theme for this week’s releases. Check them out with the links below.

Tory Lanez Treats Fans To Three New Tracks For His Prison Tapes Pack

Tory Lanez is already putting in so much work while behind bars. So, as fans, we are extremely appreciative that his going above and beyond this week. If you haven’t been keeping up with his musical output as of late, the rapper and singer has been dropping a two-piece every weekend for over a month. It’s all for his new Prison Tapes series/playlist, and it originally started with him uncovering some old recordings throughout multiple eras in his career.

He’s still doing that, but as of late Tory Lanez has been putting in extra hours to record new material while in prison. Making things even more impressive is that the quality of the tracks is up to snuff with artists who have the benefit of recording in an actual studio. It seems that each Tory fan has their favorite set of tracks from these weekly releases, and ours might be this one. This time through, he’s delivering a never before seen three-pack. “Appellate Court Freestyle”, which features AWOL$, “Tommie’s Interlude”, and “Basement” are the titles. The first is probably out favorite and arguably features Lanez’s best rapping performance as he airs out his stresses, his views on the double standards in society and more.

That decision right there way too heavy to stress

Tory Lanez Brings Sad & Steamy Vibes On Newest Lost Tapes Entries, “Girls In The Room (2020) / L.M.B.B (2018)”

Since the start of July, Brampton, Ontario, Canadian native Tory Lanez has been dishing out some unreleased recordings under the “Lost Tapes” moniker. He has done so every weekend and their existences range from 2015-2020. All of these releases see the multi-hyphenate using his auto-crooning style, which means that R&B is the name of the game. Fans of his continuously debate which side of him they prefer. But with him serving 10 years of prison time, any “new” music from Tory is going to be a welcome sight for now.

The topical focus for these now six different tracks has centered around falling in and out of love and getting absolutely freaky in the bedroom. That remains to be the formula on Tory Lanez’s two latest “Lost Tapes” installments, “Girls In The Room (2020)” and “L.M.B.B (2018)”. On the former, Daystar Peterson is drunkenly singing to a girl who has he has felt strongly about for some time. He tries to snake his way into her heart by telling this woman that she is messing around with the wrong guys. Conversely, “L.M.B.B” sees Tory losing “baddest b****” after she played with his feelings. Listen to these new tracks and let us know if these are your favorites from the series so far in the comments.

And I’m here for it, so go ahead and pray for it

Tory Lanez Unearths Two More Lost Tapes, “Phases / Someone Else”

When some artists go to jail or prison, they are not able to keep their fans interest. That could be because their music does not to hold up while they are inactive, or the listeners just are not loyal enough to where they need to constantly find the next best thing. Also playing into that is the rapper’s team either not wanting to push out new/unreleased material, or the artist is refusing to do so. For Tory Lanez, though, things are different, as the Canadian multi-talent is back with two new tracks, “Phases” and “Someone Else”.

The first of them is a 2017 recording, while the latter is from his early prime days in 2015. These are continuing his “Lost Tapes” series, something that the singer and rapper is doing to ensure a tight-knit connection with his listeners. Overall, “Phases” and “Someone Else”, see Tory Lanez once again in his melodic R&B bag. Out of all of the now four releases so far, the former is the most rap centric cut. On it, Tory talks about the common ups and downs in relationships. “Someone Else”, the incarcerated MC has a sneaking suspicion that his girl is cheating so he goes and throws himself a lean party with other random women. Both tracks are once again produced by his close friend and collaborator, Play Picasso.

And I’m about to have me a party
