Tory Lanez Taps His “Twitch Tapes” Vault For Two Moody Cuts

Tory Lanez is switching things up for this week’s edition of his “Lost Tapes” series. Instead of pulling from that vault in particular, the Canadian crooner is dropping off two “Twitch Tapes.” This is subset that he introduced back on the week of August 23, so it’s been quite some time since he’s revisited these tracks. Before getting locked up for a 10-year prison stay, Tory had been previewing snippets upon snippets on livestreaming platforms such as Twitch. Moreover, he’s displayed his off-the-cuff rapping ability on streams with Adin Ross, for example.

So, it’s cool to see Lanez bring these works out for everyone to hear. However, the issue with them is that they are extremely short. “Rodeo Drive,” the first one we got, was just over two minutes long. “Back to Back” and “Blurred,” the new kids on the block, are even shorter. Neither clock in over the 1:50 mark. So, if you like longer material from Tory Lanez, you may be let down by this week’s entries. However, given the rapper’s current situation, it’s amazing that we are even getting new music to begin with. Moreover, both songs are Lanez in his moodier bag. They both focus on sex, relationships, and hedonism, which means there’s a bit more singing than spitting. Check them out at your leisure below.

“Back To Back (Twitch Tapes)” & “Blurred (Twitch Tapes)” – Tory Lanez

Quotable Lyrics From “Blurred”:

Met her in Atlanta out in Lenox
Ain’t been to sleep in like 3 days
Diamonds away playing tennis
She got a vibe gotta spend this
I don’t usually spend on no girl that I just ran through
She just might be experienced

Tory Lanez Shares His Most Personal & Heartbreaking Track To Date In The “Lost Tapes” Series

Tory Lanez is creating some discourse around his recent verse on DDG’s new single “HANDLING BUSINESS.” On it, he raps about his one regret on the night of the Megan Thee Stallion shooting. “The only one thing I regret on that night, is jumping up outta the pool with Kylie.” There he’s speaking about the video that was going around the internet of him taking a dip with Megan and Kylie Jenner. Then, he shouts out Drake and backs him amid all of his issues. They used to be sworn enemies, but things have been smoothed out over time. “I be up praying and waiting for the day that n****s come for me the way they did Drizzy / I got the card in the wallet, and big brodie’s problems are my problems, so f*** how you feelin’ about it / Brodie gone stand on his own, but 2024, it ain’t no fair ones in Toronto.”

But this isn’t the only release from him this weekend that’s getting people’s attention. Once again, Tory Lanez has come back with more “Lost Tapes.” This week’s edition consists of “Honest,” a hookup related cut from 2019, and “Losing Friends,” a recording from 2018. If you have been following him for a while, or did heavily in 2018, the lyrics may hit a little harder for you. That year, Lanez had lost five friends in various ways with just four months to go. On the pre-chorus, he sounds like he’s beginning to tear up while rapping with a lot of passion and emotion. You can check both of them out with the links below.

Quotable Lyrics From “Losing Friends (2018)”:

Yesterday, my n**** E committed suicide
Sometimes I realize in this world, this s*** is do or die
See one of my realest n****s, meet up and barely take no pictures
Where the f*** was I when you took your life, man, like, I should’ve been with you
And I know we came from [?] but we kept it G, though
Used to pick me up from my apartment, right there on [Lisa?]

Tory Lanez Drops Off His Shortest “Lost Tape” Yet With “Camera Phone” Alongside “Undecided”

It’s another One Umbrella reunion for this week’s edition of Tory Lanez’s “Lost Tapes.” If you have been following the site for the last couple of months, you know what the Canadian multi-talent is up to right now. He’s been sharing two (sometimes three) tracks a week from his stash of throwaways that never got a home on a project. There are times where Tory flexes his duality as an artist by rapping on one and singing on the other. Additionally, he will hit listeners with a specific tone or relatively similar theme between them. Or the Alone At Prom creator will revisit a particular year.

He’s done it all, even including some collabs with his signees. This week, he’s got a track with VV$ Ken, an Orlando, Florida rapper who’s been with One Umbrella since 2020. Also, an angle to look at is the fact that he’s got his shortest track in this care package. That would a 2018 recording called “Camera Phone.” “Undecided” is the other release, and it’s from 2022. Finally, Tory probably just gave us his freakiest and most sexually charged cuts to date. If you don’t believe us, check them out below.

Quotable Lyrics From “Undecided”:

Why she tryin’ to act shy around the guys?
Like I ain’t tell ’em how she turn freak when she high
Told ’em shawty ain’t the type to go to sleep
See me dozin’ off, she try to put her fingers through my briefs
I got up again and went inside her cheeks
Only doubled back ’cause I ain’t seen that booty clapped in weeks

Tory Lanez Links With His Label Signee Davo For The Latest Week Of The “Lost Tapes”

It’s another weekend, so you know what that means if you are a Tory Lanez fan right. The controversial Canadian superstar is here with more “Lost Tapes,” and this time, there’s something special going on. We have spoken about this ad nauseam, but at certain points during this run, Tory has included themes or firsts. For these, he’s reuniting with a fellow collaborator and label mate. For those unaware, the rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer also runs a recording company. It’s called One Umbrella, and it features a smaller roster compared to most other artist driven imprints.

But that doesn’t mean that efforts between his artists are any less significant. With that said, Tory Lanez has officially released a song with Davo called “Do You Remember.” He too is very similar to his boss, as he raps, sings, produces, and etc. He’s been releasing solo material under One Umbrella since 2020, but this shows that Davo was hard at work way before launching his own path to stardom. In fact, that’s what this song is about, in addition to proving doubters wrong and calling out fake friends. But with all “Lost Tape” releases, there’s another. A 2022 R&B-like leftover, “Wanna Fxck,” now sees the light of day as well. Check them both out below.

Quotable Lyrics From “Do You Remember”:

None of you n****s really was my dawgs, just pretenders
Feel like I’m livin’ in the dark
F*** ’em all, I ain’t got no feelings in my heart, none at all
And I remember we was hittin’ licks
Me and my n****s, he was really with the s***s

Tory Lanez Pulls From The 2022 Vault Again For His Newest “Lost Tapes”

Tory Lanez is double dipping for this week’s edition of his “Lost Tapes” series. Over the last few weeks, the Canadian has been beginning to dig up some recordings from 2022. He began rolling this erao ut with a 2019 track, “Blessed.” But Tory has now gone back to these last two years twice on back-to-back occasions. Overall, it’s the most recent vault he’s gone to for these releases. Given the Megan Thee Stallion situation, though, this may be the latest stretch we get to go back to.

Regardless, we are still eager to see what Tory has offer. This weekend, he’s dropped off “The Chase” and “Take It Off.” The former hears the multi-hyphenate drop gems about keeping your focus on the grind and making it big while ignoring the haters and doubters. It feels like he’s talking directly to the listener, making it a very personal and thought-provoking track. Conversely, “Take It Off” is a cute yet provocative love story which features both his singing and rapping. We feel Tory’s got two underrated bops here and he’s keeping out interest in the series for sure.

Quotable Lyrics From “The Chase”:

If a n**** can get it, lose it, lose it, get it, then f*** it, you gotta respect it
You could check all my songs or walk through the halls, the walls are all full of records
And you n****s got the nerve to talk to me like you got the same when we check it
Like you got some hits, hits, hits, n****, but I’m the only n**** playin’ Tekken
Sold a million records, fifty-seven seconds for the last time, that I reckon, never disrespect it, n****

Tory Lanez Wants Superficial Love & The Real Thing On Latest R&B-tinged Lost Tapes

Tory Lanez has always had one of the better singing voices for a rapper since he came out back in the early 2010s. It’s pushed him into the mainstream with some of his biggest songs having that R&B flare. All you have to do is check out his top five popular songs on Spotify. “Say It,” “The Color Violet,” “Hurts Me,” and “Lavender Sunflower” occupy four of the spots. It’s been an age-old question between his fans of which version of Tory is better. Well, that aforementioned fact is a telling sign as to where most listeners of his lean.

If you are one of them, then you may enjoy Tory Lanez’s newest additions to the “Free Tory Playlist.” This week, he’s delivered “Transaction” and “Just The Way,” two “Lost Tapes” from 2022. Some of these tracks have been pulled from the beloved “Fargo Fridays” era. However, these seem to be two unfamiliar releases. Another trend in this prolific series is that the two tracks usually differ sonically and tonally. It’s kept alive this time around too, with “Transaction” being more about spending for a good time with promiscuous women. Conversely, “Just The Way” hears Tory wanting a more emotional connection. See which vibe you’re rocking with more by visiting the links below.

Tory Lanez Shares His Most Recent Lost Tape Within Latest Entries To The “Free Tory Playlist”

The “Free Tory Playlist” (Spotify exclusive) has some new tracks in the mix. Tory Lanez is back with a recording from 2019 called “Blessed,” and one from 2022 titled “B.B.O.” (Bad B****es Only). The latter is now the most recent Lost Tape yet, unless you count his one and only Twitch Tape (so far) “Rodeo Drive” as such. According to its Genius annotation, it was first previewed back in May of 2022. “B.B.O.” doesn’t not have much information on it, so we are unsure as to when Lanez concocted it. Speaking of which, the same can be said about “Blessed.”

Both of these Lost Tapes seem to be two of the more unsung loosies from this series. However, that isn’t a bad thing really. The reason being is because Tory Lanez might have his catchiest tunes so far with these two. Each song is ready for a club setting with their tones being confident and lively. Additionally, the melodies bring the vibes up tenfold, adding to that accessibility factor. “Blessed” finds Tory thankful for his cushy lifestyle and being able to afford things he was not able to while coming up. “B.B.O.” is geared for the club-going ladies who are prepping for a night out downtown. You can hear the Lost Tapes for yourself with the links below.

Imma do anything to protect my check, Imma do anything just respect my flex, yes

Tory Lanez Includes A Desiigner Collab In This Week’s Edition Of The Lost Tapes

Tory Lanez isn’t slowing down on the Lost Tapes one bit, as this week presents two 2019 cuts with one featuring Desiigner. Throughout these last couple of months, the Canadian jack of all trades has hit us with certain themes for these weekly releases. Sometimes it’s a combo of songs from a particular year. On other occasions he sticks with a certain genre. Or he will hit fans with uber-aggressive rapping or his auto-tuned R&B cuts. The latter is the case this time around, as Lanez (and Desiigner) are focusing on sex and raunchy intimacy.

“Slow Fade” is about the hitmakers’ poor dating practice tendencies, as they focus more on having a good time rather than sticking around for the long term. Conversely, “Alexandria” sees Tory hooked on a woman and how he wants to see things last. Every time Lanez drops these Lost Tapes, it’s always interesting to see what ideas he was cooking up at each time. Listening to “Alexandria” and “Slow Fade” you can certainly hear that these were created in the vein of 2018’s LoVE me NOw. There are also some hints of Chixtape 5 in both as well, as he was in that crooning mode on each tape. You can check out “Alexandria” and “Slow Fade” with the YouTube links provided below.

Tory Lanez Officially Releases Prized 2016 Throwaways “Real Addresses” & “For Real” In Lost Tapes Format

The FARGO FRIDAYS era for Tory Lanez was a special time. If you have been following the website closely, you may remember that it was a collaboration between us and the Canadian rapper and singer. It lasted for a few years, ultimately wrapping up in 2017 with “I Sip.” Overall, there are 36 songs in total and a lot of them are some of his fans’ favorites. One of them for sure is 2016’s “Real Addresses,” which made a massive splash on YouTube. It’s been floating around the internet since that time and on DSPs under a different user on Spotify.

But recently, Tory Lanez, through his weekly “Lost Tapes” series, has brought out “Real Addresses” officially. However, if you have been paying attention to this stretch of his career, you would know he gives his fans a twofer. The equally aggressive and hype “For Real” from 2016 is also a part of this drop. It’s a great time for his supporters, as they have been rejoicing online over this move to finally bring them out on DSPs. However, this weekend, he hasn’t dropped. Hopefully, this trend won’t continue, but we’d understand given Lanez’s circumstances. For now, revisit “Real Addresses” and “For Real” below.

Tory Lanez Includes His Oldest Lost Tape Yet In Latest Installment To The Playlist

Fans may be missing the “Prison Tapes” from Tory Lanez, but he’s still chugging along with the “Lost Tapes”, thankfully. Sure, they may just be official rereleases of tracks that have been floating around the internet. But it’s nice to have them all in one place if you are a music junkie. Throughout this weekly drop pattern, there have been some themes and firsts. This week, Tory is rapping about some celebrities and he’s also leaving off his oldest “Lost Tape” yet. The titles are “Tim Duncan”, which is a recording from 2015 and was a part of the Fargo Fridays run that started in 2014.

The other is “Teyana”, and this one was laid down in 2013. The cool thing about these reissues is that we get to hear what sort of mindset the Canadian was in, but also the sounds he was playing around with. At least for us, “Tim Duncan” was a memorable track from that Fargo Fridays era thanks to Tory’s hungry rapping over the sped up and slowed down portions of the five-minute record. Like most weeks during this Free Tory Playlist run, he’s been flexing his duality. So, giving us a more R&B cut like “Teyana” was to be expected. The cool history with this one was that it was his way of shooting his shot at Ms. Taylor. She would respond on her song, “Dreams”, saying she was taken.
