LeBron James Quotes JAY-Z’s “Trouble” Afters Tossing Grizzlies From Playoffs

Poking a Bear Leads Grizzlies to 3-1 Hole After LeBron's 20-20 Game

Don’t you ever forget LeBron James is a Roc Boy. After the Los Angeles Lakers ousted the Memphis Grizzlies from the NBA Playoffs, King James didn’t stick around to shake hands with his opponent, especially Dillon Brooks. But over the weekend, the Lakers star did have some messages to get off, one of which was written by JAY-Z.

Hitting Twitter, James sent a message to the young boys, evoking the energy of HOV’s “Trouble” when, at a point, he was doing the same.

“Trouble” was part of JAY-Z’s “Kingdom Come” album and bars set for R. Kelly and others. But the jabs at “young” rappers have long been thought to be bars at Lil Wayne, who was running with the Best Rapper Alive title and had subliminals for JAY-Z as well. Clearly, they are cool today.

But Bron wasn’t done, flipping Mystikal’s “if you see me fighting a bear, help the bear.” Another shot at the Grizzlies.

Dillon Brooks Breaks Silence On LeBron James After Subtweet

Dillon Brooks has broken his silence on his beef with LeBron James following the Memphis Grizzlies’ loss to the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the NBA playoffs. James appeared to subtweet Brooks by quoting JAY-Z lyrics on Saturday night as the Lakers advanced to the second round. Despite the defeat, Brooks says he has no regrets about angering LeBron James.

“That’s who I am,” he told reporters on Sunday. “I’m a competitor. I compete. I don’t think it got LeBron ‘geeked’ up. He’s back in the playoffs, it’d been a little while. He was ready to play.” Prior to the comments, the NBA announced that it had fined Brooks $25,000 for “failure to participate in team postgame media availability during the first round of the 2023 NBA playoffs.”

“Unlike you little ****, I’m a grown ass man,” James’ tweet reads. “Big shoes to fill, grown ass pants. Prolly hustled with your pops, go ask your parents. It’s apparent you’re staring at a legend. Who put a few little **** in they place before. Trying to eat without saying they grace before!” The quote comes from JAY-Z’s song, “Trouble,” off of 2006’s Kingdom Come. James also posted on Instagram, “If you ever see me fighting in the forest with a Grizzly bear, HELP THE BEAR.”

Things between Brooks and James really heated up as the games went on between the Lakers and Grizzlies. After taking Game 2, Brooks told reporters, “I don’t care, he’s old. You know what I mean? I was expecting him to do that game four, game five. He wanted to say something when I got my fourth foul, he should’ve been saying that earlier on. I poke bears, I don’t respect no one until they come and give me 40. I pride myself on what I do.”

According To Netflix, Drake Is The ‘King Of Collectibles,’ Or So Their New Series Highlights

Drake works hard but plays even harder. Over the years, the “Search & Rescue” rapper has documented his outrageously massive sports bets, his latest being on the UConn Huskies. Now the musician’s love for a good adrenaline rush is on full display in Netflix’s new series King Of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch.

The series follows Ken Goldin, the owner of Golden Auctions, a company focused on tracking down the rarest collectibles item, most of which are related to sports. That’s where Drake comes in. In one of the series’ episodes, Goldin hops onto to plane to Toronto to help the rap star get his hands on a rare item from his longtime friend LeBron James.

Goldin is looking for the LeBron James “Triple Logoman” card. The item contains the individual NBA logos for each team James won titles with. The catch is only one of those cards exists. So if the pair does get their hands on it, the card could be worth millions. While we won’t spoil the results of the episode, that scene is certainly worth a watch.

In an interview with the Philly Voice, Goldin ensures that their show isn’t glamorous, saying, “Everything in the show is an actual transaction. I think people will enjoy seeing how business gets done. Not everything is a success.”

King Of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch is available for streaming exclusively via Netflix. Find more information here.

LeBron Appears To Subtweet Dillon Brooks

The beef between Dillon Brooks and LeBron has dominated the NBA Playoffs thus far. Things began before the playoffs when Brooks said he relished the idea of sending the Lakers home early. LeBron appeared to dismiss the comments before the teams took to the court.

However, Brooks was eager to continue the beef on the court. After the Grizzlies won Game 2 and the pair exchanged words, Brooks called LeBron “old” and that he didn’t respect the veteran because he “hadn’t dropped 40” on Memphis. Later in the series, Brooks was ejected for a flagrant 2 on LeBron. Last night, the Lakers brutally eliminated the Grizzlies in a 125-85 rout.

LeBron Breaks Twitter Silence To Slam Brooks

LeBron hadn’t tweeted since April 14 but the day after he dismantled the Grizzlies. He had posted some strong words seemingly aimed at Brooks.

Unlike you little 🤬I’m a grown ass man
Big shoes to fill 🤬, grown ass pants
Prolly hustled with your pops, go ask your parents
Its apparent you’re staring at a legend
Who, put a few little 🤬in the they place before
Trying to eat without saying they grace before! 🤫👑

LeBron James tweet, April 29 2023

It’s a very strong statement from the usually-reserved LeBron. While he does not call out Brooks by name, it’s clear that he’s calling out the Grizzlies defender. “It’s apparent you’re staring at a legend” is more than likely referring to Brooks’ comments about now respecting LeBron. He also cemented his status by following up with “Who, put a few little [swearing emoki] in they place before trying to eat without saying they grace before!”

Brooks was largely been unable to back up his trash talk after his shutdown defense in Game 2. Meanwhile, LeBron absolutely balled out. He scored 133 points on 48% shooting during the six-game series against the Grizzlies. He also added 67 rebounds and 31 blocks. This led to a double-double average on the series at 22.2 points and 11.2 rebounds. Furthermore, LeBron has ceded dominant performances to his teams, allowing for them to have bigger performances while he played a supporting role. They will have the winner of the Kings-Warriors series, which concludes Sunday.

LeBron James Locked In For Game 6 Vs. Memphis

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have a chance to send the Memphis Grizzlies home on Friday night. The Lakers and the Grizzlies have been involved in a grueling opening-round series. However, James is more than ready for another chance to send the Grizzlies home early. According to those at the arena, the Lakers star arrived to the arena today five hours early. James has been seen getting shots up in preparation for the big game.

The series started with the teams splitting victories in Memphis. Then after some famous comments made by Dillon Brooks, the Lakers took the next three games. However, Game 5 was all Grizzlies from beginning to end. James was not happy with his performance in Game 5. Including his post-game comments where “The King” vowed to come back with a stronger performance in Game 6. Now the time has come for James to answer his own challenge. However, it seems like he doesn’t need any more motivation.

LeBron James Ready For Crucial Game 6

A big topic of discussion today has been James’ legacy with the Lakers. According to Stephen A. Smith, a loss tonight will end any championship run for James with the Lakers. Everyone knows the time is ticking for James to win another NBA title. However, the Lakers haven’t looked like a team to go the distance all season. But anything can happen in this year’s post-season. As the Miami Heat have already eliminated the top team in the Eastern Conference. A Lakers win tonight would eliminate the second-best team in the Western Conference.

Only two series remind in the first round. Lakers-Grizzlies and Warriors-Kings are the final first matchups looking for a second-round prize. The winner of those two matchups will meet in the second round. However, no one is positive about who will be the victor in each series. Do you think LeBron James will end the Grizzlies season tonight? If not tonight, can the Lakers win one more on the road in Memphis? Let us know what you think in the comment section. Dwayne Wade’s Wild Bahamas Story About LeBron James

Dwayne Wade created his own legacy with his time in the NBA. The legendary NBA star becoming the greatest player in Miami Heat franchise history. However, along his journey, Wade had the opportunity to play alongside his good friend LeBron James. Wade and James would go on to make more magic together. As the pair were part of back-to-back NBA championship victories in Miami. But their friendship goes beyond the basketball court. The two will also forever be linked to the banana boat crew.

The two superstars have been known to take family trips together in the off-season. Which is where the iconic banana boat picture was taken. However, in a recent interview, Wade talked about vacation James. Including a wild tale of James becoming Jeff Hardy at a Bahamas pool. “[He] looked down and said, ‘How deep you think that is?’ 8-9 feet. He said, ‘Let me see,’ took his stuff off, jumped into the pool from the balcony. I promise you.”

Dwayne Wade Cherishes Friendship With James

As Wade finished the story Rachel Nichols was in disbelief. Yes, the incident could have ended badly for James. However, it seems vacation James is a different beast. When discussing iconic duos in NBA history, the former Heat pair can’t be skipped. The Miami Heat franchise was the first so-called super team to win more than one title. As the Boston Celtics only won one with KG, Pierce, and Allen. However, their tenure in Miami wasn’t always roses. The team started and ended their journey with painful Finals losses.

It appears that James has the same thoughts we all have. I guess he is human, after all. However, lying by the pool in the Bahamas is the furthest thing from James’ mind at the moment. James and the Lakers will be looking to advance to the second round on Friday night. With a win, the Lakers will eliminate the Grizzlies from playoff contention. Maybe the Lakers would like to see the side of James that Dwayne Wade revealed in his interview. It’s going to take everything for the Lakers to advance to the next round. Draymond Green’s Most Controversial Career Moments

Draymond Green is a four-time NBA All-Star, a four-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, and a former NBA Defensive Player of the Year. Along with this, Green is also arguably one of the dirtiest and most physical players in the NBA. In his 11 seasons in the league, Green has finished first or second in technical fouls five times. Along with this, Green has served multiple suspensions throughout his NBA career. In total, the sports star has reportedly paid over $1.3 million in fines due to suspensions, ejections, and other dirty plays. Here’s a look at some of the most controversial moments of Draymond Green’s career.

2016: Fine For Kick To Steven Adams’ Groin

Ironically, this incident is not the most infamous of groin shots in Draymond Green’s career. During the 2016 Western Conference Finals, pitting the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder, Green kicked Steven Adams in the groin while going for a layup. It was obviously not a basketball move, and Green received backlash for the incident. While the referees did not eject Green following the kick, the NBA fined him $25,000 after the game ended. This moment led to the running joke among fans that Green only has control of three of his limbs at all times.

2016 Finals: Suspension For Hit To Lebron’s Groin

Just one playoff series after the aforementioned incident, Green committed his most infamous offense on the court. During Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Finals, Draymond Green punched Lebron James in the groin. The Warriors went on to win the game. However, the referees retroactively awarded Green a flagrant foul for the play. This was Green’s fourth flagrant foul of the playoffs, which led to an automatic suspension.

Along with the act itself, this moment has become infamous due to the consequences that followed. At the time, the Warriors held a 3-1 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite this, Lebron and the Cavs went on to come back to win the series 4-3. Many fans believe that if Green were not suspended for the shot at Lebron, the Warriors would have been able to win the NBA Championship that year. While this is only speculation, Green’s punch to Lebron continues to live in infamy today.

2016-2018: Multiple Offenses Against James Harden

Draymond Green has had long-lasting problems with James Harden on the court. During a 2016-17 season game, Draymond somehow kicked Harden in the head while grabbing a rebound and received a flagrant foul. This occurred in double overtime and ultimately cost the Warriors the game. In another game in 2017, Green admitted to punching Harden in his injured wrist after Harden allegedly pinched him. Just over one minute into Game 1 of the 2018 Western Conference Finals, Draymond shoved Harden in the throat. He received a technical foul. Green has gained a reputation for targeting other teams’ star players, and his offenses against Harden seem to be proof of that.

2017: Crowd Fight With Bradley Beal

In a game against the Washington Wizards in 2017, Green was involved in an altercation with Bradley Beal. After Beal hit Green in the face, the two began a fight that spilled into the crowd. Both teams got involved, and Green’s jersey was ripped. Both Beal and Green were both ejected but not suspended for the incident. The NBA also fined both players for the fight.

2018: Argument With Then-Teammate Kevin Durant

Along with committing dirty acts against opposing teams, Draymond has also been involved in altercations with his teammates. At the end of a game during the 2018-19 season, Draymond got into an argument with Kevin Durant that lasted minutes long. Durant appeared to be frustrated at Green for not passing him the ball. The two had to be separated, but apparently, the fight spilled into the locker room following the game. Green allegedly called out Durant for his impending free agency during the dispute. After this season, Durant would leave the Warriors in free agency. The team suspended Draymond for one game following the incident.

2022: Punch To Jordan Poole During Warriors’ Practice

Draymond’s argument with Kevin Durant would not end his altercations with his teammates. Just before the 2022-23 season began, a video appeared of Draymond punching Jordan Poole in the face at a Golden State Warriors preseason practice. In the video, Poole shoves Draymond before Green punches Poole and knocks him out. Green was not suspended for the incident; it is still unknown what sort of discipline he received from the Warriors.

2023: Suspension For Stomp On Domantas Sabonis

Draymond’s most recent controversial moment came just one week ago in a playoff game against the Sacramento Kings. During the game, Draymond stomped on King’s player Domantas Sabonis’ chest while he lay on the floor. While Sabonis was holding Green’s leg, the action seemed excessive. The NBA agreed with that statement, as the league suspended Draymond for one game without pay for the incident. The referees also awarded Green a flagrant 2 foul and ejected him from the game.

Stephen A. Smith’s Bold Claim On LeBron James Era

Stephen A. Smith has been in a more jovial mood this NBA Playoffs. Smith has tons of confidence in his New York Knicks, who now have a shot at the Eastern Conference Finals. However, the legendary television host also hasn’t shied away from his bold takes this post-season. The newest take involves the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James. According to Smith, a Game 6 loss for the Lakers could spell the end of another championship coming to Los Angeles in the James era.

On Friday’s episode of First Take, the crew discussed the big game between the Grizzlies and Lakers. For Smith, this game is the end all, be all, for James’ legacy in Los Angeles. The host stated that a Game 6 loss would all but guarantee the Lakers will not win another title with James. James helped lead the team to a title back in 2020. However, since that time, the Lakers haven’t even sniffed a championship run. Everyone knows the sand in the hourglass is running low. But could this really be it?

Stephen A. Smith Losing Hope In Lakers

The Lakers-Grizzlies series has been one to remember. As Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks made waves with comments made earlier in the series. Including telling the media that he doesn’t respect James. While calling the Lakers star old. However, the Lakers got the memo, as the team rattled off three straight wins. But Game 5 proved that the Grizzlies will not be going away easily. Memphis had the game in the bag from the opening tip. Game 6 really could be the last chance the Lakers have at sealing the series.

If you’re a Lakers fan, the hope is that Game 6 will be the final game of the series. There was a lot of talk heading into the series that the Lakers could pull off the upset. However, the Grizzlies may feel some disrespect from that. As the Grizzlies are the current two seed in the Western Conference. Expect some fireworks in Friday’s matchup. Do you agree with Stephen A. Smith’s take on LeBron’s Lakers legacy? Let us know your predictions on the series in our comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.

On and off the court, holiday day season or not, this colorway of the Nike Lebron 19 is a hot choice!

“Chosen 1”

The “Chosen 1” is a desirable colorway with hidden meanings. The shoe sports a wipe-away layer, which reveals colorful graphics underneath. The graphics detail and represent different elements of the life and career of Lebron James. The same graphics are on the insoles of the sneaker as well. The metallic gold finish on the midsoles pops with the rest of the sneaker, giving it a distinct look. These limited edition kicks were made to be worn by James during the 2022 NBA All-Star Game.

“Tune Squad”

Millennials could let their inner child live with the release of the Space Jam sequel starring Lebron James. While the Air Jordan 11s from the original Space Jam are iconic, the Nike Lebron 19 got its own “Space Jam” treatment. The bright yellow mesh upper with red and translucent overlays is a similar palette to the uniforms worn by the characters. The turquoise midsole and trademark Swoosh bring the colorful sneaker to a complete look to commemorate the film’s release. This set is a definite must-have for fans!

“Fast Food”

The “Fast Food” is the second variation of the Nike Lebron 19 to be released, and it truly made the fans’ mouths water. This colorway gets its name from the junk food graphics plastered on the tongue and inner bootie of the sneaker. Food seen in the graphics includes pizza slices, hamburgers, fries, and more. The blue makeup with contrasting red accents gives the colorway an eye-catching appeal to go along with the novelty. This colorway of the Nike Lebron 19 catches the eyes with the tone and graphics but rounds out subtly with the Air Max cushioning, allowing for a cool, clean look.

“Bred”

The two-tone colorway of the Nike Lebron 19 “Bred” is reminiscent of other colorways of iconic Nike releases. The bold crimson red finish along the bottom outsoles, Nike Swoosh, and eyelets pop against the metallic black base. The hybrid cushioning setup, designed by Jason Petrie, ensures the sneaker provides as much comfort as it does style. The crown branding on the side of the sneaker and the accented tongue logo give the Nike Lebron 19 “Bred” extra swag points.

“Floral”

This Nike Lebron 19 Low version comes Spring ready, boasting floral aesthetics and bright accents. The mint green and pink pastel accent gives the shoe a fun and vibrant tone to match its theme. React Foam midsoles replace the traditional Max Air cushioning, giving this colorway a distinct look. These shoes were first seen on the feet of Lebron during the 2022 All-Star practice in Cleveland.

“Valentine’s Day”

Nothing says “I love you!” to your fans like a hot new release. Nike decided to be sweet with this colorway’s near Valentine’s Day release. The combination of fuchsia, pink, and mint green gives a vibrant pop to the sneaker. The Foam pods lining the collar add more ankle support and offer a distinctive trait from other colorways. The purple and pink laces bring all the colors together nicely. The look of the multicolored Cupid Day-themed sneaker is brought together by the pale mint green around the toe and midsoles.

“Sketch”

This variation of the Nike Lebron 19 is a nod to past designs of Lebron’s signature shoe line. The all-white base pairs with the red and black detailing on the tongue and behind the white mesh foundation. The detailing on the sneakers comes from sketches made by designers who have created Nike Lebron sneakers in the past, including Tinker Hatfield, Aaron Cooper, and more. The design’s forefoot features a Zoom Air unit with dual-chambered Max Air under the heel atop a rubber outsole. The contrasting accents through the sneaker and tongue give this colorway a tight and clean design.

“King’s Crown”

Named after the “King’s Crown” logo on the heels of the shoe, this colorway of the Nike Lebron 19 makes a statement! The bright siren red base of the synthetic textile upper with molded overlays makes the sneaker pop out. The laser blue accents throughout the shoe make an excellent color-blocking scheme. A forefoot Zoom Air unit with dual-chambered Max Air under the heel completes the sneaker’s look.

“Hawaii”

Another bright and colorful offering for the sneaker, this shoe brought a tropical feel to the court. The violet base of the back heel with floral prints representing the islands is one of the main highlights of the “Hawaii.” The calming pink color scheme on the mesh and leather ensemble completes the sneaker’s tropical feel. The volt accents on the Swoosh and tongue hits against the pink hues of the sneaker. One of many vibrant colorways to bless this silhouette, the “Hawaii” definitely takes fans to paradise!

“Lebronivale”

This colorful, carnival-themed set came right on time for the summer months with its June 2022 release. On the insole of the sneaker are nods to the career highlights of King James. These include James’ four NBA titles, four Finals MVP awards, and others. The colorway features a mix-matched set, similar to Nike’s popular “What The?” series. The left sneaker sports a bright crimson base and blue tongue, while the right has a Malachite green base with a red tongue.
