Pras Is Suing 50 Cent, Kyrie Irving, And ‘Rolling Stone’ For Calling Him An FBI Informant

Fugees founder Pras Michel has filed a lawsuit for defamation against 50 Cent, Kyrie Irving, and Rolling Stone magazine for calling him an FBI informant and a “rat,” according to Rolling Stone. After Rolling Stone reported on Pras’ unusual testimony during the money laundering case against him saying that he approached the FBI after meeting with a Chinese minister in 2017, rumors of Pras being an “informant” spread rapidly online. 50 Cent, who is often quick to react or joke around about hip-hop news stories on social media, called Pras “a rat” on Instagram, while Irving also shared a post calling Pras a “federal informant” on Twitter.

In a letter sent to the Rolling Stone offices Wednesday, May 10, Pras’ attorneys notified the potential defendants of their intention to take them to court. Jonathan Noah Schwartz wrote (again, according to Rolling Stone), “It is and was absolutely and demonstrably false for you to publish that Michel was a ‘government informant.’ Labeling a hip-hop artist such as Michel, the reputation of whom is dependent upon ‘street credibility’ and not being a ‘snitch,’ a ‘government informant’ most certainly tends to subject said hip-hop artist to hatred, distrust, ridicule, contempt and/or disgrace, along with injury in their trade or profession.”

Pras was convicted of money laundering, illegal lobbying, witness tampering, and campaign finance violations in the April trial, all charges stemming from his association with Malaysian money man Jho Low, who is himself wanted for allegedly embezzling billions from his home nation’s sovereign wealth fund.

Pras To Sue 50 Cent, Kyrie Irving Over Informant Claims

As Pras stares down a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, he appears to be taking legal action against 50 Cent, Kyrie Irving, and Rolling Stone for labeling him a federal informant. According to the Los Angeles Times, Pras’ attorney sent legal notifications to the three parties for the defamation suit on claims that a Rolling Stone article called him an “FBI informant.” However, Pras also claims that 50 Cent and Kyrie Irving echoed these claims online, as well.

A jury found Pras guilty of 10 counts last month, earning a widespread reaction from the hip-hop community following testimony that he cooperated with authorities. Fif took to Instagram with a headline that deemed Pras an “FBI informant.” “I knew this fool was a rat! I’m glad I never fvck with this guy,” 50 Cent wrote. Shortly after, Irving tweeted, “A whole FBI Informant was in the Fugees for that long??” Meanwhile, Rolling Stone published an article where they said he is “an informal FBI informant,” which was later changed to claim that he “voluntarily met with FBI agents.”

Jonathan Noah Schwartz, the representative for Pras’, said that these claims led to the loss of business deals, which ultimately impacted his ability to generate income. “Labeling a Hip Hop artist such as Michel, the reputation of whom is dependent upon ‘street credibility’ and not being a ‘snitch,’ a ‘government informant’ most certainly tends to subject said Hip Hop artist to hatred, distrust, ridicule, contempt and/or disgrace, along with injury in their trade or profession,” the letter reads.

In addition to Schwartz, David Kenner, Pras’ attorney, also plans to take legal action against Rolling Stone. Kenner’s attorney, Erica Dumas, said that the publication led to viral stories that “harmed the business interests, reputations of Pras and attorney Kenner,” Dumas told the Los Angeles Times. Dumas added that 50 Cent and Kyrie Irving put the lives of Pras and Kenner “at risk” because of their claims online. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates surrounding the lawsuit. Best Nike Kyrie 7 Colorways

When it comes to Kyrie Irving’s signature line with Nike, the Nike Kyrie 7 is one of the most popular. Unfortunately, the controversial split between Irving and Nike led to the brand canceling the release of the Kyrie 8. Though fans were disappointed in the split, the Nike Kyrie 7 was a great shoe to end the legacy. Also, fans received no shortage of variants to choose from. From the bright and colorful “Weatherman” to the art-inspired “Expressions,” the colorways of this sneaker kept fans hyped for their releases. Here are the seven best Nike Kyrie 7 colorways!

“Expressions”

Off the court, Kyrie Irving is a known art lover, keeping an extensive collection of artwork at his home. Irving’s love for art is said to be the main inspiration behind this vibrant colorway. The love and appreciation for art appear on the heel in the form of lateral panels and paint splatter graphics. A pink pastel sole blends with the shoe’s bright multicolored, brush-stroke-styled upper. The orange swooshes, lavender shoe strings, and coral-colored treading bring even more vibrant color to the shoe. The tan, canvas-inspired, tongue tops off the look of a sneaker that perfectly pays homage to your inner artist!

“Weatherman”

These kicks are ready to dominate in any weather! Taking inspiration from another signature Nike sneaker line, the Nike Kyrie 7 “Weatherman” takes inspiration from the Nike KD4 “Weatherman.” This colorway sports an eye-catching vibrant Stadium Green upper with an all-black sole and Nike swoosh. The multicolor heat map graphic highlighting the heel, inner lining, and rubber outsole adds even more color to the sneaker. Just like the KD4 colorway it draws inspiration from, the “Weatherman” is one of the most popular variants of the Nike Kyrie 7.

“Hendrix”

Also dubbed “Creator,” the “Hendrix” colorway evokes the psychedelic spirit of the legendary rockstar Jimi Hendrix. Kyrie’s All-Seeing Eye motifs cover the sneaker’s dark purple mesh upper. The warp pattern on the rear heel panels adds to the trippy effect of the colorway. The midnight green tongue and sole unit sporting black, grey, and red complete the look of the psychedelic sneaker. The vibrant tones of this nod to Hendrix make this colorway one of the hottest!

Sneaker Room x Nike Kyrie 7 ‘Mom’

This mismatched colorway was made to honor the late mothers of Kyrie Irving and Sneaker Room owner Suraj Kaufman. Taking inspiration from the elements of Mother Nature, one colorway represents Earth, while the contrast represents other elements. The green and yellow colorway represents earth and wind, while the blue and orange iteration represents fire and ice. Both colorways feature Sneaker Room and “Mom” branding on the lace tips. Each sneaker has a flower graphic on the hell, as well as “In honor of” on the heel panel. The details in this collaboration make it one of the most unique versions of the Nike Kyrie 7.

“1 World 1 People”

This popular colorway follows a positive theme of peace. The “1 World 1 People” colorway has the same namesake message featured on the sneaker’s heel. Touches of aqua blue compliment the bright yellow-clad mesh upper. The TPU fins of the sneaker have the same touches of blue. The TPU fins also come in bright red as well. Tones of red and green are also present on the colorful set. The colorway’s bright tones are completed with an abstract multicolor print over the sneaker.

“Visions”

This colorway draws inspiration from Irving’s hobbies off the court. On the heel of the sneaker is “sports,” “music,” “film,” and “art,” listing off the favorite interests of the athlete. The white, lace-like mesh upper compliments the rest of the multicolored sneaker. The lime green midsole brings a serious pop of color. The red and blue TPU fins match the red and blue Nike Swooshes and Irving’s blue trademark logo on the tongue. A cool nod to the baller’s other passions, this multicolored variant of the Nike Kyrie 7 was a hot choice among sneakerheads!

“Final Rings”

Even though Kyrie Irving didn’t get a ring in 2021, the Nike Kyrie 7’s “Final Rings” colorway is fit for a championship occasion. The metallic gold, black, and grey combination looks phenomenal against the mesh white silhouette. The championship ring-inspired colorway sports other incredible details as well. The graphics in the mesh upper gives the white base a royal tone. Behind the sneaker’s heel lies the unique symbol, Irving’s “ All Seeing Eye” logo, placed on a championship ring. The champion-level designs provide a strong statement for the shoe’s sleek and exciting silhouette. The cool look of the Nike Kyrie 7 “Final Rings” makes this colorway a must-cop for sneaker fans.

Mavericks GM Reveals Teams Chances Of Re-Signing Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving will have a big decision to make this summer. The Dallas guard will be a free agent with plenty of suitors lined up to speak with him. However, just what are the chances Irving will end up back in Dallas? According to team GM Nico Harrison, the Mavericks are optimistic about their chances. While that may not be a term to get fans excited. But it does feel like it means the Mavericks are still in the running for the star guards’ services.

The Mavericks were the tale of two halves when describing their season. After acquiring Irving in a trade, the team went into a freefall. But that isn’t for the lack of effort from Irving. The highly sought-after Irving appeared in just 20 games for the Mavericks. In that time, he averaged 27 points and six assists. Scoring was not an issue for Dallas this season. However, the defensive side of the ball left a lot to be desired. Irving’s teammate Luka Doncic spoke about the team’s defensive effort, including his own. But the defensive change conversation came when it was too little too late.

Kyrie Irving Isn’t In A Rush On Deciding Future

Irving has mentioned recently that he has no plans to sign a contract in the near future. The former Nike star is looking for a new shoe deal before deciding on his playing future. Irving was dropped from Nike after antisemite social media posts. There is yet to be a report on which shoe brands would be interested in bringing Irving aboard. But those conversations could be kept secret due to the nature of Irving’s last deal. So it seems the Mavericks will have to wait this one out.

The Mavericks will be the most interesting team to follow this summer. After the way this season finished, it’s hard to see a world where Luka and Kyrie Irving share the floor again. However, stranger things have happened in the NBA. Evidently, Mark Cuban believes it can work. The Mavericks owner has been very vocal about bringing Irving back into the mix. Do you believe the Mavericks will be able to keep both of their superstar guards? Drop your thoughts in the comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.

Jason Kidd Announces Plans For Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic’s 2022-23 season seems to be over. The Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd confirmed those reports. Earlier this week, Doncic stated he would play as long as the Mavericks had a chance at the playoffs. But with today’s news that the team would be without Irving, plans have changed. Shutting Doncic down all but means the Mavericks are looking ahead to the off-season. The Mavericks playoff chances were already slim. However, now they are on life support.

“I can’t speak for him. But I think when you look at [it], we all said that we want to have the opportunity to find a way to get in. And we were gonna play until told otherwise. And today is the day that we’ve been told that we’re gonna do something different. So he’s gonna participate in the first quarter and then he’s done for the season,” Kidd told the media. The move to shut down Doncic has been a shocker to everyone. Also, letting him play the first quarter Friday night seems like a head-scratching decision.

Luka Doncic To Be Shut Down For Remainder Of Season

The Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving experiment has seemed to fail. However, the Mavericks want to bring back both superstars. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has already stated the team hopes to keep Irving. But with the way things have ended this season, it may take a lot for Irving to return. Irivng’s performance in Dallas isn’t one of the reasons the experiment failed. But the team’s defense sure would take top billing in the blame department.

How will the Mavericks fix the issues from this season? Will ownership bring in a new coaching staff? In Kidd’s second season as the headman, Dallas has been in a state of free fall most of the season. A team with this much talent shouldn’t be at home during the playoffs. However, that’s exactly where the Mavericks will be. What do you think the Mavericks can do to right the ship? Will the team be able to bring back Doncic and Irving? Drop your thoughts on the Mavericks in the comment section. For the latest news in the NBA, keep it here at HNHH.

Kyrie Irving Receives Massive Injury Update

Kyrie Irving has been playing at an elite level for the Dallas Mavericks. However, now it seems like Irving’s season is over. The Mavericks have ruled Irving out for the team’s must-win game on Friday. Irving has been dealing with a foot injury and will be unable to go. The injury news is a tough break for the Mavericks. As the team must win their finale in order to stay in the playoff race. However, the team will still be with Luka Doncic on Friday. But now he will need a massive performance to lift his team to victory.

The Mavericks’ opponent on Friday is the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls have attempted to play spoiler already this season. As Patrick Beverley led the charge in a Bulls win over the Los Angeles Lakers. The Bulls are not currently playing for a playoff position. However, that won’t stop the Bulls from trying to put the final nail in the Mavericks season. Unfortunately, the Mavericks will be without more than just Irving on Friday night. The team’s injury report is loaded with names.

Kyrie Irving Will Miss Must-Win Game

The team will also be without Josh Green, Tim Hardaway Jr., Maxi Kleber, and Christian Wood. Also, Luka is probably to play in Friday’s matchup. However, Doncic has mentioned recently he will suit up as long as the team is fighting for a playoff spot. The story continues to build for Friday’s game. If the team decides Luka can’t go, it will all but be a wrap on the Mavericks season. All eyes will be on Doncic on Friday night.

Kyrie Irving’s absence on Friday night could be a hint at the larger picture. Irving’s playing future is up in the air, as the Dallas star has recently mentioned. Kyrie claims to be in no rush to decide where he will play next season. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has already stated that re-signing Irving is the top priority this summer. However, the Mavericks still haven’t close the book on this season. Will the Mavericks make the improbable playoff run? Have we seen Irving’s final performance in Dallas? Skip Bayless Doesn’t Have High Hopes For One NBA Duo

Skip Bayless discussed the future of the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday’s edition of Undisputed. The Mavericks have failed to reach their potential this season. Many believed the team would be one of the top in the West after adding Kyrie Irving. However, the Mavericks have not been anything close to a top team. As the team continues to push for a late playoff run, many have been discussing their future. Bayless doesn’t see much of a future for the team if they keep Irving and Doncic together.

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban mentioned on Wednesday that the team’s top priority is to re-sign Irving this summer. Irving has been phenomenal in his stint with the Mavericks. The issue in Dallas has been the team’s performance on the defensive end. The defensive issue has been no secret. Doncic himself has even mentioned that he needs to be better on that end. However, what will change between now and next season? Bayless is of the belief that nothing will change. As well as believing that the issue isn’t because of a lack of talent.

Skip Bayless Believes Mavericks Stars Don’t Fit

Bayless commended the Dallas duo for their unbelievable talent on the floor. However, the sports media giant doesn’t see how the two fit together. Chemistry seems to be the glaring issue between Doncic and Irving. The two stars have the talent to compete with anyone. But who gets the ball in crunch time? That could be the heart of the matter. Both players are amazing talents when it comes to running the offense. However, only one man can run the show.

The Mavericks seem set on what their summer plans will be. The team will be looking to bring back both Irving and Doncic. However, will both stars be okay with that decision? Both have seemed to be visibly upset on the court. As questions of Doncic’s leadership and Irvings off, the court issues have reared their ugly heads. Can the franchise see success while keeping both Doncic and Irving? Please give us your thoughts on the topic in the comment section below. Kyrie Irving Opens Up On Future Plans

Kyrie Irving’s time in Dallas has been less than a dream come true. The Mavericks’ point guard has had a career year in points per game, at 27. However, the Mavericks have not been able to click as an overall team. The Mavericks will miss the post-season this year. Which has been incredibly shocking to everyone around the league. With so much turmoil around the franchise, players have already been discussing their future. Last night, Irving spoke about his future with the organization.

When speaking with the media after last night’s loss to the Hawks, Irving was completely transparent in discussing his future. “I’ll set my plans once I sign with a potential shoe brand. That’s usually how it goes in my scheduling from June to August — usually planning an Asia trip or China trip specifically. Once I sign with a shoe brand, I’ll start wrapping around in kind of this international world tour to introduce myself as a new brand signee or signature athlete.”

Kyrie Irving Seeking New Shoe Deal

Irving seeking a new sneaker deal is no secret. After a controversial stance toward an antisemitic film, Irving’s deal with Nike was terminated. Since the incident, Irving has made steps in learning more about the Jewish culture and is open to challenging himself on learning about other cultures. Irving doesn’t plan on making any decision on his playing future until he has a new sneaker deal locked in. As for said sneaker deal, no reports have been released on any brands speaking with Irving at this time.

However, it seems Irving seems certain that a new shoe deal is inevitable. Irving is one of the biggest stars in the league. So, assuming a new sneaker deal is on the way isn’t too far-fetched. It looks as if Dallas will have to wait on Irving’s playing plans. Do you believe Irving will return to Dallas? If not, where is the perfect landing spot for the All-Star point guard? Let us know in the comment section below where you believe Irving will be next season. For the latest news on the NBA and the sneaker world, stay locked in with us at HNHH.

Mavericks Considering Sitting Luka Doncic & Kyrie Irving

The Dallas Mavericks have had an abysmal 2022-23 campaign. After trading for Kyrie Irving, it seemed the team would be destined for a playoff spot. Unfortunately, now, the team will be watching for home. With the chances of making the playoffs nearly zero, the team is reportedly set to make a decision. Shams Charania is reporting the Mavericks could be sitting Luka and Kyrie for the rest of the season. A huge decision that sums up the team’s entire season.

The Mavericks seemed to never find the right combination after the arrival of Irving. Scoring hasn’t been the issue with this team. However, the defensive side of the ball has been downright horrific. Both Irving and Doncic have shared their frustrations recently. With Irving speaking on the team’s problems last week. Now Doncic sharing his issues this week. The Mavericks season implosion is now reaching a breaking point. One that has the franchise thinking of the future.

The Dallas Mavericks Potentially Shutting Down Stars

The news of the Mavericks shutting down Luka and Kyrie isn’t all that shocking. However, it feels like blatant tanking. Even if this is the final week of the season. The Mavericks are in desperate need of a reset. Which begs many different questions. Who will be returning next season for the team? One would think the team is absolutely ready to move on from the Kyrie experiment. However, will Luka also demand his way out of Dallas? Mark Cuban and the organization will have their hands full this summer.

There will be a lot of moving parts in Dallas this off-season. The hope for the franchise has to be to become a desirable free-agent location. But just who do free agents want to see stay in Dallas? Would there be any way fans see Luka and Kyrie on the court together next season? Something tells me one, if not both, could be in a different uniform next season. Let us know your thoughts on what the Mavericks should do this off-season in the comment section below. To stay up to date with this story and the latest in sports, subscribe to HNHH.

Luka Doncic Gets Honest About Mavs Struggles Since Kyrie Trade

The Dallas Mavericks fan base expected the Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving pairing to shine. However, shining has been far from what they’ve seen. The Mavericks are 1-4 in their last five games. Dropping a shootout to the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, 132-130. The offense doesn’t seem to be the issue with this team. Now, stopping the other team looks to be the Achilles heel. In their last five games, the Mavericks have allowed 110 points or more. That number isn’t a recipe for success for any team.

The frustration is visible on the court and is being shared off the court too. Doncic has shared his frustrations with the media over the last month. As well as, Irving being vocal about what’s going wrong in Dallas. It’s no secret that Irving isn’t afraid to share his feelings. Irving has found himself in media cycles over the past year for more than just basketball. Many believed the Mavericks were taking a significant risk in bringing in the former NBA champion. A chance that Mark Cuban felt didn’t outweigh the reward. Now Dallas finds itself with an All-Star cast but no playoff appearance to show for it. How did they get here?

Luka Doncic Claims Defensive Struggles Are Costing Mavericks

The answer is easy to find. However, just because the answer is easy doesn’t mean it is fixable. “It’s every time the same problem,” Doncic stated. “The offense is fine. But if we give up 130 points in four quarters, that’s hard to win.” The defensive struggles of this team will not be fixed overnight. The organization is coming to the realization that this season is a failure. The biggest issue may not be the combo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. The issues could come from the other three positions. Many forget that just because a team has an amazing duo, there are still three other players on the floor. Dwight Powell, Reggie Bullock, and Tim Hardaway Jr. also shoulder some blame.

The 2022-23 season has been a failure. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean burning this down and starting from scratch. Kyrie and Luka can still be a successful backcourt leading the Mavericks to the playoffs next season. While the team can look to the future, everyone knows that some change is inevitable. How can the Mavericks bolster their roster for the 2023-24 season? Can the Mavericks keep Luka and Kyrie together? Will Dallas be an enticing destination for free agents this summer? Let us know your thoughts on the Mavericks in the comment section below. For the latest NBA news, stay locked in with HNHH.
