Kevin Durant is one of many NBA superstars to express their passion for music, especially hip-hop. We have seen plenty of examples in the past and present and some are still going strong today. Shaq and Damian Lillard are the two most prominent names producing some interesting material. A couple of days ago TMZrecovered a sneak peek of Kevin Durant and Massillon, Ohio rapper, Stalley, laying down some verses. Well, the day has arrived as this first-time duo has just dropped their song “Scared Money.” It is a very low-key vibe with soft boom-baps and an almost jazz-like instrumental.
Both sound ultra-buttery smooth, especially Kevin Durant. Again, he loves music, but he does not have much experience on the mic. He actually has another feature that was released way back in 2012 with Chevy Woods and Privaledge. That was called “Some Winners.” For Stalley, “Scared Money” is also the title track of his new EP. The veteran Midwest MC put three songs it, with “Farming” being the lead single.
Listen To “Scared Money” By Stalley & Kevin Durant
Additionally, this tape serves as a precursor to Stalley’s full-length album. It will be called Peerless and it is expected to see a March release date. TMZ says this collaboration came to be because KD was wanting to rap on something and he reached out to Stalley for the opportunity. Travonne Edwards, a mutual friend, helped create the beat that you can hear above. Fans are also loving the record online and for good reason.
What are your thoughts on this brand-new song, “Scared Money,” by Stalley and Kevin Durant? Should he Durant drop a full project at some point, why or why not? Is he the best current NBA rapper? Is this the strongest track from Stalley’s new EP Scared Money? Does this have you excited for his forthcoming album? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Stalley and Kevin Durant. Finally, stay with us for the most informative song posts throughout the week.
“Sacred Money”, Stalley’s new track featuring Kevin Durant, has dropped. The track was previewed by a leak from TMZ, which showed Durant rapping about his grandmother. “RIP to Barbara Davis,We hit another layer/When she speak to me, it’s like she saying prayers,” Durant rapped in the leaked clip.
Fans seemed pretty satisfied with the flow, although many people are still waking up to the news. “Ok but wait Kevin Durant was flowin on this Stalley track.. I see you KD,” one fan noted. “I’m not the only one who thinks Kevin Durant sounds just like Jay Electronica on this new Stalley record right?” asked another. Are you feeling Durant’s bars? Let us know in the comments.
However, one person note feeling Durant right now is Draymond Green. During a lengthy rant on The Draymond Green Show, Green called out his former teammate. “[Nurkic] and Kevin [Durant] questioning my character before,” Green said. “As if you’re going to question somebody’s character about a basketball game, as if this is not real life, as if that don’t affect people’s pockets. I think all of it was really cowardly… I think they all wack. Both of them. Everyone was questioning what I said to KD after the game… This is me. I do this. Been doing this. Gonna keep doing this. Which is the same thing I said in that Clippers game years ago. Been winning championships. Been doing this. Gonna keep doing this when you leave here. Didn’t lie. Got fined a whole game check… Fast forward, wasn’t a lie,” Green said.
Furthermore, Green went after Durant’s teammate, Jusuf Nurkic. During the same segment on The Draymond Green Show, the veteran Warrior went after comments that Nurkic made during their tense first meeting since Green’s suspension last week. Green dismissed Nurkic’s comments about his volatility by suggesting that the center was just made that Green had cooked him all game. Green consistently brought up how poorly Nurkic had performed in the matchup. However, fans were quick to point out that the stat line that Green was roasting was a “typical Draymond night”.

Kevin Durant returned to Brooklyn on Wednesday (Jan. 31), delivering a loss to the Brooklyn Nets.
The game was Durant’s first visit to Barclays Center since requesting a trade to the Phoenix Suns. He dropped 33 points, eight assists, and five rebounds in the 136-120 win.
The game featured Durant paired with his new big three of Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. Already limited for the year, the trio surprisingly put in more time on the court than the Nets version with Durant, which featured Kyrie Irving and James Harden.
“We didn’t have enough time together. That’s just it,” Durant told ESPN. “Guys wanted to go their separate ways. We tried our hardest to, you know, salvage everything and everything together. We had three or four different teams [from] when I signed here until when I left. But at the end of the day, I enjoyed coming to work, playing for, being a part of this community and playing, representing Brooklyn; regardless of what went on, what was said or how I felt, I still came to work.”

NBA All-Star Weekend is almost here, taking place on Sunday, February 18 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The entire weekend will consist of its usual events, including competitions like the Celebrity Game, as well as the 3-Point and Slam Dunk Contests, among others. As the event draws closer and anticipation rises, the starting lineups for the 2023-2024 NBA All-Star Game have been revealed.
The 73rd edition of the All-Star Game sees the NBA returning to the traditional Eastern vs. Western conference format, with two guards and three front-court players as starters. They previously implemented a draft in 2017 where captains chose players regardless of conference. According to NBA Communications, three voting groups determined the All-Star starters: 50% fan votes, 25% players, and 25% media panel. Additionally, head coaches chose the reserves for each team. Both conferences are stacked with big names and many of the best players in the league. As we recently covered the Eastern Conference starters, we will be spotlighting this year’s NBA All-Stars in the Western Conference. Take a look at the players below.
This year’s starters for the NBA All-Star Western Conference are a multinational group, with three of the five starters being non-American. Including Greek-Nigerian Giannis Antetokounmpo and Cameroonian Joel Embiid in the Eastern Conference, the All-Star teams contain international stars on the lineups. Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Dončić hails from Slovenia. Currently leading his team’s franchise leader for career triple-doubles, this is Dončić’s fifth NBA All-Star selection and fourth as a starter. When he made the Western Conference in 2020, he became the youngest European player to start in an All-Star game.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
This year is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s second selection for the NBA All-Star Game. The Canadian guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder made his All-Star debut last year. He ranked number one in player and media voting, becoming the fourth player in Thunder history to become an All-Star, joining the likes of Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, and Paul George. The Thunder currently stand at number 3 in the Western Conference under the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets.
To no surprise, LeBron James is an NBA All-Star starter. This year marks his record-breaking 20th All-Star selection, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in doing so. Last year, James also broke Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time league scoring record. Since he was first selected in the 2004-2005 season, the arguable GOAT has been a 7x captain and won 3 Game MVP Awards. Starting in 2018, he and Team LeBron won the All-Star Game for five consecutive years until 2023. While James’ team may have lost to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s team last All-Star Weekend, he is more than capable of securing another win.
Kevin Durant
Besides LeBron James, Kevin Durant has been selected as an NBA All-Star more than any other player. This year is his 14th All-Star selection and 12th as a starter. Since his first selection in 2010, he has received the NBA All-Star Game MVP Award twice. In 2023, Durant was traded to the Phoenix Suns after spending three seasons with the Brooklyn Nets. That same year, he rose on the NBA’s All-Time Scoring List, currently ranking at the tenth spot. In the Western Conference, the Suns stand at number six with 27 wins and 20 losses this season.
Nikola Jokić
After winning the NBA championship last year with the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokić secured his sixth All-Star selection. The Serbian center first became an All-Star in 2019 and has been representing the Nuggets ever since. He is the only Denver player besides Alex English to start in four All-Star games. With Jokić’s help, the Nuggets have become a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference. Currently standing in second place, we will see if Denver has what it takes to reclaim the title they won last season.
