Kanye West And The Weeknd Reunite For Their First Track In Five Years On ‘Hurricane’ With Lil Baby

Ladies and gentlemen, at long last, Kanye West’s Donda is here.

The album arrives with 26 songs and a slew of guest appearances, but a highlight from the new project comes on “Hurricane” with The Weeknd and Lil Baby. Six years ago, West and The Weeknd revealed their first collaborations with “Tell Your Friends,” from the singer’s second album Beauty Behind The Madness. The following year, they reconnected once again for “FML,” from the rapper’s 2016 album, The Life Of Pablo.

While The Weeknd provided the hook for his and Kanye’s collaboration, the GOOD Music rapper was solely responsible for the production on “Tell Your Friends.” Both tracks were strong efforts from their respective albums, but since the 2016 track’s arrival, fans had yet to receive another collaboration between the acts. All of that changed on Sunday when Donda finally made its debut.

Kanye and The Weeknd reunited once again on “Hurricane” with Lil Baby from the rapper’s latest album, Donda. Just like “FML,” the song finds The Weeknd on the hook while Lil Baby and Kanye each lay a verse on the bass-heavy track. The new collaboration officially arrives nearly a month after The Weeknd expressed his desire to work with Kanye again during a GQ profile that was released at the beginning of this month.

“I’d love to work with Kanye [West] again,” the singer said, adding, “Especially on production.”

Soon enough, Kanye made a phone call to the singer, which he revealed through a now-deleted screenshot of his call log that he shared to Instagram. It was just a few days after this conversation that West premiered “Hurricane” during the second listening session for Donda in Atlanta.

The track appears on the long-awaited and long-overdue release of Donda. The rapper dropped his tenth album on Sunday morning, just three days after his third listening session for the project, and it comes attached with 26 songs and additional features from Jay-Z, Playboi Carti, Roddy Ricch, The LOX, Ty Dolla Sign, Lil Durk, Fivio Foreign, Pop Smoke, Vory, Shenseea, and many more.

Drake Fans ‘Vandalized’ Kanye West’s Childhood Home With Signs Calling Him A ‘Burn Out’

Kanye West and Drake’s beef flared up last week after the former dissed him during a guest verse on Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal.” The act seemingly led to West posting and deleting Drake’s address to his Toronto mansion, which for the record was already public information. It’s no telling where the back and forth will head next, but the beef has now extended to the rappers’ fans as West’s South Shore Chicago childhood home was visited by Drake fans.

Three signs were left at the GOOD Music rapper’s former house that dissed him, promoted Drake’s upcoming album Certified Lover Boy, and took a shot at Justin LaBoy.

Each of the signs were placed against an individual step at West’s childhood home. Top to bottom they read: “45 44 burnt out,” referencing Drake’s lyrics from “Betrayal,” “F*ck Justin LaBoy,” who’s helped promote West’s upcoming album Donda, and “CLB coming soon.” For what it’s worth, it should be easy to repair this “vandalism” as throwing out the signs will return the home to its normal state.

Last year, West purchased the home for $225,000 and is currently in the process of renovating it. A replica of the house was also at the center of his most recent listening event for Donda. As for Drake, the rapper recently announced that Certified Lover Boy would arrive on September 3. On Friday morning, the rapper “hacked” an episode of SportsCenter on ESPN to share the news. It comes as Donda is rumored to finally drop alongside Certified Lover Boy on September 3.

You can take a look at the “vandalism” in the post above.

Kanye West’s Third ‘Donda’ Listening Event Reportedly Tallied Just 13 COVID-19 Vaccinations

Kanye West’s premiered his upcoming tenth album Donda for the third time this past Thursday. The rapper brought the long-overdue unreleased project to his hometown for a performance at Chicago’s Soldier Field. The listening event did not require attendees to be vaccinated or present a negative COVID-19 test, but instead, they offered vaccinations against the virus for those who arrived to hear the latest version of Donda.

But according to reports, that effort wasn’t nearly as successful as many hoping to help end the pandemic would have hoped. According to TMZ, a representative for the stadium said that 1,500 doses would be available. And the publication has shared the official count for vaccination given at the venue and it’s quite low.

TMZ reported that a spokesperson from the Illinois Department of Public Health told them that just 13 vaccinations were given out at the rapper’s event on Thursday. Since a vaccination or negative COVID-19 test was not required to attend the event, there’s no telling how many of the 38,000 people that were present at Soldier Field were actually vaccinated. However, with 65% of Illinois residents confirmed to have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccination, it’s hard to not imagine that a decent amount of the Soldier Field attendees were not vaccinated.

While the 13 vaccinations may seem like a low number, it’s a bit of a jump than the number that was given at the rapper’s second listening event for Donda, which concluded with just 4 vaccinations for the 40,000 people in attendance.

Kanye West And Kim Kardashian Are Reportedly Working To Repair Their Relationship

For the third time in just a month, Kanye West held a listening event for his upcoming tenth album, Donda. Unlike the first two editions that were held in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, West held it at Solider Field in his hometown of Chicago. While the event made headlines for plenty of reasons, most of them being controversial, an interesting moment from the night came when the rapper’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian appeared in a wedding dress during a performance of “No Child Left Behind.” The duo left the stadium hand-in-hand after it ended.

According to TMZ, West and Kardashian are reportedly working to repair their relationship despite their ongoing divorce. Sources close to both parties say there is a small chance the two could continue their marriage. Still, the two have reportedly been privately spending time together while “working on rebuilding the foundation of their relationship.” The publication adds that Kardashian’s main goal ensure a healthy foundation of love and support remains present for her four children with West.

As for the latest listening event, it featured Marilyn Manson’s controversial appearance (as the singer is also set to feature on the album), West lighting himself on fire, and his decision to replace a Jay-Z verse with one from DaBaby.

Marilyn Manson Has Apparently Been Added To Kanye West’s ‘Donda’ Album

Making an uncomfortable situation that much ickier, a representative for Marilyn Manson has confirmed that the shock-rocker — who is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department for accusations of domestic abuse — features on Kanye West’s forthcoming album, Donda. “Marilyn Manson’s voice is featured on Donda, and he will continue to conceptually collaborate with Ye on the Donda project,” a spokesperson for Manson told Billboard, who picked the story up from Newsweek.

Last night, Kanye prompted fan backlash when he brought Manson and DaBaby onstage with him during his third Donda listening party at Chicago’s Soldier Field. During the event, Kanye premiered a new version of “Jail” that replaced a Jay-Z verse with one from DaBaby, who has been under fire for making homophobic comments onstage during Rolling Loud.

Earlier this year, actress Evan Rachel Wood came forward to name ex-partner Manson as her alleged abuser, whom she accused of terrorizing her during their relationship, which began in 2007 (when she was 18 and he was 36) and ended in 2010. At the time, Wood accused Manson of both “grooming” and “horrifically” abusing her. After that, at least ten more women came forward to make similar accusations against the singer, including Game of Thrones actress Esme Bianco, who had previously testified alongside Wood in support of California’s Phoenix Bill, which is aimed toward lengthening the statute of limitations for crimes involving domestic violence. Bianco eventually sued Manson for sexual assault and battery. Following the accusations, Manson’s label, Loma Vista, dropped him from their roster.

Manson has denied the allegations, posting a statement to social media in February: “Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality… My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how — and why — others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”
