After months of anticipation and speculation, Lollapalooza has announced the lineup of its 2024 flagship festival in Chicago. Returning to Grant Park on August 1-4, this year’s festival has a massive lineup headlined by SZA, Tyler The Creator, Blink-182, The Killers, Future & Metro Boomin, Hozier, Stray Kids, Melanie Martinez, and Skrillex. Tickets go on presale on March 21 from 10 am to noon CT, with the general sale starting at noon. You can sign up for a presale passcode now.

In addition to the big print, Lolla’s lineup looks like a who’s-who of our post-TikTok music landscape, featuring everybody from Tate McRae and Laufey to Killer Mike and Vince Staples. If they’ve had a hit in the past 18 months, they’ll probably be in Chicago in August. You can see a full rundown in the flyer below. Lollapalooza 2023 was headlined by Billie Eilish, Karol G, Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey, Odesza, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The 1975, and Tomorrow X Together. Eilish’s set saw her debut her Barbie soundtrack song “What Was I Made For?” long before it had accumulated all the accolades and cultural saturation it has today. Who knows what surprises this year’s fest will bring?

What Is The Biggest Song Of All Time?

People love superlatives: Best, strongest, fastest, etc. That’s especially true of the music world, which brings us to today’s question:

What Is The Biggest Song Of All Time?

There are at least a few ways you could look at it.

One is RIAA certifications. In January, Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” was certified 18-times platinum, tying it with Post Malone and Swae Lee’s “Sunflower” as the highest-certified song ever. However, in February, “Sunflower” re-took sole ownership of first place as it was certified 2-times diamond, or 20-times platinum. Currently in third behind both of those songs is Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” at 17-times platinum. Worth noting, though, is that RIAA certifications only take into account data from the United States.

Another aspect to consider is sales of physical singles. Per Guinness World Records, the best-selling physical single of all time is Bing Crosby’s 1942 recording of “White Christmas,” which has sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide. Meanwhile, according to a Far Out post from earlier this year, “Every Breath You Take” by The Police tops the list of the “most-played songs on radio stations worldwide.”

The fourth metric we’ll look at here is streams. As of January 2023, The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” is the most-streamed song globally in Spotify history. In January 2024, it became the first song to surpass 4 billion Spotify streams and it currently has 4.12 billion plays on the platform.

So, while there is concrete data to consider, what is truly the “biggest song of all time” depends on the value you place on said data. Maybe the answer is “Sunflower,” maybe it’s “White Christmas,” maybe it’s “Every Breath You Take,” maybe it’s “Blinding Lights,” or maybe it’s something else. Ultimately, it’s one of those questions that might be impossible to answer definitively.

Who Is Headlining Lollapalooza 2024?

The Lollapalooza 2024 gears are starting to turn: On March 18, organizers shared a video teasing a big announcement. With that, the big question on everybody’s mind is:

Who Is Headlining Lollapalooza 2024?

We don’t know yet, but we will when the festival lineup is revealed on March 19, as was confirmed on the 18th. We’ll update this post when the headliners are revealed.

What we do know is that going by historical precedent, we can expect some big-time names: The 2023 festival featured by Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Odesza, Lana Del Rey, Karol G, The 1975, and Tomorrow X Together. The 2022 lineup had Metallica, Dua Lipa, J. Cole, Green Day, Doja Cat, Machine Gun Kelly, and Lil Baby. Basically, Lollapalooza routinely brings it, so expect an exciting roster of performers when it’s announced on the 19th.

This year’s event runs from August 1 to 4 at Chicago’s Grant Park. Tickets are not yet available, but more information about that will presumably be revealed when the lineup is. You can also sign up for updates on the Lolla website. The festival website also has information about things like accessibility and lodging, so it’s worth poking around.

See you tomorrow.” This presumably means fans can expect organizers to announce the 2024 lineup, or at least part of it, tomorrow, March 19. Furthermore, we can take “presumably,” “maybe,” and “perhaps” out of the equation: The festival website confirms the lineup is coming on the 19th.

This year’s fest goes down from August 1 to 4 at Chicago’s Grant Park. Tickets are not currently on sale and it’s not clear when they will be. To access the music videos, users should click a “Switch To Video” button on a song that has the option. By clicking the button, it will restart whatever song the user was listening to from the beginning.

This is currently available to those who have Spotify Premium and is accessible in eleven countries. “For this beta rollout, we chose these markets based on a number of criteria including market size and the availability of local content support… Stay tuned as we hope to expand the catalog of music videos and increase availability to more countries,” Spotify’s VP Global Head of Consumer Experience Sten Garmark shared, per the outlet.

How To Buy Tickets For Glastonbury Festival 2024

As of right now, tickets for Glastonbury Festival are sold out — and have been for a while. When the tickets went up for sale back in November, music lovers snapped them up within minutes.

“Our thanks to everyone who bought one and we’re sorry to those of you who missed out, on a morning when demand greatly exceeded supply,” the festival informed shortly after, according to The Standard.

However, there is still some hope. Some ticket buyers might not be able to afford it and cancel their tickets when they are set to be charged next month. If this happens, any returned tickets will go back up for sale. Only those who registered before the sale starts will be able to purchase, as Glastonbury is trying to prevent scammers.

Additional information about getting tickets for Glastonbury 2024 can be found on the festival’s website.
