LeBron James Deletes Tweet About Officer Who Killed Ma’Khia Bryant

Conservatives are upset with LeBron James. The death of 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant has been a controversial topic of discussion, especially after the bodycam footage of the incident was released by authorities just hours following the incident. The teen was shot and killed by Columbus, Ohio police officer Nicholas Reardon and over on Twitter, a frustrated James shared a screenshot photo of Reardon at the scene of the shooting with a caption that read, “YOU’RE NEXT [hourglass emoji] #ACCOUNTABILITY.”

Soon, critics stormed social media and accused the Lakers star of inciting violence against the officer. LeBron deleted the tweet and replaced it with an explanation regarding why he’s angered by another police shooting involving a child.

“ANGER does any of us any good and that includes myself!” wrote James. “Gathering all the facts and educating does though! My anger still is here for what happened that lil girl. My sympathy for her family and may justice prevail!” He then explained why he decided to remove the controversial tweet.

“I’m so damn tired of seeing Black people killed by police. I took the tweet down because its being used to create more hate,” he added. “This isn’t about one officer. it’s about the entire system and they always use our words to create more racism. I am so desperate for more ACCOUNTABILITY.” Check out his messages, and a few reactions below.

Alexis Ohanian Has No Problem Being Referred To As “Serena Williams’s Husband”

Men often place themselves at the “front” of relationships as they have been conditioned to be providers, caregivers, leaders, and protectors. Their partners typically take their last names in marriage and it’s normal for a couple to be referred to by a man’s surname like “The Smiths,” for example, but Alexis Ohanian doesn’t seem to adhere to all of those rules.

The co-founder of Reddit married Serena Williams back in 2017 and the happy couple shares a daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. Often, the media refers to Ohanian as “Serena Williams’s husband,” and that’s something the entrepreneur says he doesn’t mind at all.

Like many other tennis husbands, Ohanian is often seen sitting in the stands as he cheers on his award-winning wife. On Twitter, someone told Ohanian that they “love how you don’t mind that they call you Serena William’s husband” after seeing another tweet about him watching a gymnast competition with his daughter.

He replied, “I’ll be a self-made billionaire one day and most people will still know me as Serena’s husband (or Olympia’s dad) and that’s fine by me.” Many applauded Ohanian for being secure enough to recognize that his tennis champion and sports icon wife deserves just as much recognition as he does.

Brett Favre Doesn’t Believe Chauvin “Intentionally Meant To Kill George Floyd”

The buzz surrounding the Derek Chauvin trial has subsided now that the disgraced officer has been found guilty of murdering George Floyd. Still, the conversations regarding the next steps in reform have continued, as do discussions from those who doubt Chauvin intended Floyd any harm. Football legend Brett Favre is one of those people and he took to his Bolling with Favre podcast to share his opinions.

Recently, Favre stated that he believed that there were too many political discussions in sports, and he returned to express that he doesn’t think Chauvin “intentionally meant to kill George Floyd.”

“I find it hard to believe, and I’m not defending Derek Chauvin in any way, I find it hard to believe, first of all, that he intentionally meant to kill George Floyd,” said Favre. “That being said, his actions were uncalled for. I don’t care what color the person is on the street. I don’t know what led to that video that we saw where his knee is on his neck, but the man had thrown in the towel.”

He also addressed the criticisms he received for saying that the sports world needs to edge away from the political arena. Last year, as many sports players were becoming more vocal about the Black Lives Matter protests and police-involved shootings, far-right television host Laura Ingraham told LeBron James to “shut up and dribble,” but many sports stars have continued conversations.

“I just gave my opinion,” said Favre. “I’m certainly not a racist in spite of what some people might think, and you know, I’m for unity and I just feel like there’s a better way to unify our country. That being said, there’s a lot of things that need to stop.” Some have noted that yes, a jury agrees with Favre that Chauvin didn’t intentionally set out to kill Floyd, hence why he was convicted of second-degree and third-degree charges of murder and manslaughter.

Eric Andre Claims He Was Racially Profiled At Atlanta’s Airport

The internet was hit with an accusation of racial profiling by actor Eric Andre and he is waiting for a response from Atlanta’s mayor.  Earlier today (April 21), the comedian unleashed a series of tweets detailing his experience while at Atlanta’s International Airport. Andre tagged and spoke directly to Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms in real-time as he claimed he was being unfairly targeted and harassed by airport officials.

“@KeishaBottoms if anyone is at @delta terminal T3 in Atlanta please get me the officers names,” wrote Andre. “Talking to my lawyer now. Need a good Atlanta lawyer.”

He later asked the mayor for help, saying that “two of your officers stopped me on the jet bridge at terminal three in the Atlanta airport for a ‘random’ drug search.” The actor claims he told the officers they couldn’t search him. “At that moment, I was the only POC on line. @KeishaBottom I know this isn’t the PD you want representing in your airports.”

Eventually, Eric Andre was able to board his flight and get on with his travels, but he isn’t sweeping the incident under the rug. Andre is calling for Atlanta lawyers to help with what is shaping up to be a legal battle as he also has asked for help in identifying the officers involved. Read through his messages, and the mayor’s response, below.

Michael B. Jordan Is “Extremely Happy” With Lori Harvey

It’s unclear how long Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey have been dating, but the world first received a glimpse of them together over the Thanksgiving holiday last year. The pair were seen exiting a flight in Atlanta and later, they reportedly jet-setted to Utah for a snow-filled, Winter vacation. After they went public with their relationship, Jordan and Harvey flooded social media with cute comments toward one another and loved up photos displaying their affections, and it’s something that Jordan admits he usually doesn’t do.

The 34-year-old Creed star revealed to PEOPLE that he tends to keep his private life, well, private, but this time around, he decided to share just a tiny bit of his relationship with the 24-year-old model.

“I’m still private, and I want to protect that, but it just felt like it was a moment of just wanting to put it out there and move on,” Jordan told the publication. “I am extremely happy.” The actor also shared why he believes maturation has been a factor in revealing more of himself to the world.

“I think when you get older, you feel more comfortable about the [public nature] of the business that we’re in,” he added. “So for me, it was a moment to, I guess, take ownership of that and then get back to work.” Expect to see much more from these two. Check out a few of their hot shots below.

Chrissy Teigen Claims Kim Kardashian “Gave Her All” To Kanye West

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian may be keeping things hush-hush when it comes to speaking publicly about their divorce, but Chrissy Teigen has shared a bit of insight. The famous couple has been together for nearly nine years, married for almost seven, and after rumors that their marriage was in trouble, they officially announced their split.

While Kanye has laid low, Kim has been seen partying with her sisters and friends as she eases back into the single life. Her mother, Kris Jenner, has stated that she’s advised the couple to put their four children first, and in a recent interview with Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Chrissy Teigen claims she’s been in contact with Kim.

“Kim is doing okay. I know Kim gave her all for everything,” said Teigen. “It’s honestly a shame that it didn’t work out because I saw them being a forever relationship. I really did, but I know she tried her best.” She was also asked if her husband, John Legend, has been in contact with Kanye during this time, considering they’re longtime friends and collaborators. However, Legend did say last year that he and Ye were no longer as close as they used to be.

“I will say I have definitely been in touch with Kim more than John has been in touch with Kanye,” Teigen answered. She added with a laugh, “If anyone knows Kanye, it’s that he goes off the grid and it’s hard to ever contact him.” Watch Chrissy Teigen on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen below.

Busta Rhymes Joins Stylo G On “Outta Space”

Busta Rhymes made his triumphant return to hip-hop last year when he released his first album in eight years, Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God. The project was a welcomed comeback of sorts and reminded many as to why Busta Rhymes is one of the most iconic artists to ever grace a microphone.

The rap-heavy stylings of the project had some sprinklings of dancehall with songs like “The Don & The Boss” with Vybz Kartel. This week, he came through with the assist on Stylo G’s latest single, “Outta Space.” There’s a trap feel to The Fanatix production while both artists bring an old-school dancehall flow into the mix.

Stylo and The Fanatix revealed that the song’s title was inspired by Busta’s flow because “[it] will always remind us of something not human and from outta space.”

Check the song out below.
