Canelo Alvarez Interrupted By Jake Paul Fans After Big Win

Canelo Alvarez had a massive night on Saturday as he quickly defeated Avni Yildirim in a three-round TKO that allowed him to march forward in the super middleweight division. Following this match, Alvarez will get to go up against the likes of Billy Joe Saunders, which is certainly going to be an improvement as far as opponents are concerned. It feels like Alvarez is running out of guys to challenge him, but alas, he marches forward.

Following last night’s fight, Alvarez was in the ring for his post-match interview, when he was interrupted by two guys in Jake Paul shirts standing behind him. No one really knows where these guys came from and how they got into the ring, although Alvarez caught on to what was happening and promptly told them to get out. The two men obliged and immediately left the ring with their heads hanging in shame.

What makes this situation funnier is the fact that Alvarez has been critical of the Paul brothers in the past, saying that they are cheapening boxing with their antics. These two fans obviously took offense to this and figured they would try and ruin Canelo’s moment to the best of their ability. In the end, they failed.

anders Pulls Up In Fashion On “Late To The Party”

Toronto singer/songwriting anders’ buzz has been steadily growing since first gaining recognition five years ago with the release of “Choosy.” His catalog expanded since then with a collaboration alongside Rich The Kid, and several solid bodies of work including January’s Chaos, his first official project in nearly three years.

Apparently, Chaos was just a taste of what he has to come for the remainder of 2021. The singer delivered a sultry new banger on Friday titled, “Late To The Party,” produced by Francis Got Hear and Emerson Brooks. Anders latest record reflects his growing status, from his regional buzz in Toronto to garnering national and international fame, as well as the perks that come with it. A lustful banger that finds anders basking in his vices, even if it means he’ll be late to the function.

Quotable Lyrics
Two hoes in the back
They wanna give me face
Now I only care if I’m getting paid
I touch down, ignite it, then walk away

Canelo Alvarez Easily Defeats Avni Yildirim, Next Opponent Revealed

Everyone knows that Canelo Alvarez is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, and on Saturday, he proved it once again as he took down Avni Yildirim in a super middleweight title fight. Alvarez was dominant from the beginning and in the third round, Alvarez was able to knock Yildirim to his knees. Eventually, Yildirim called off the fight following the third round, which led to a TKO win for Alvarez that brought his overall record to 55-1-2.

Following the fight, Alvarez spoke about the win and what it took to come away victorious. As one can imagine, Alvarez was all business, and now, he is looking forward to his next challenger, Billy Joe Saunders.

“I come here to do my job,” Alvarez said. “I come to win, and I come to make history. I feel strong, fast, and comfortable (at 168). I’ll fight anyone. I always fight the best. It doesn’t matter. I had to fight against Yildirim to unify 168.”

Ever since losing to Floyd Mayweather seven years ago, Alvarez has looked extremely hungry, and it’s safe to say that he is well on his way to sixty wins, which would be a massive accomplishment.

Stay tuned for information from the boxing world, as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates.

J. Balvin Returns Home To A Barrio In Medellin For The ‘Ma’ G’ Video

J. Balvin made an appearance tonight to walk boxer Canelo Alvarez into the ring for his fight against Avni Yildrim at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. And what better walkout music for Alvarez than a brand new song from the Latin pop superstar? Balvin performed his new single “Ma G” before the fight for the first time, and a video to accompany the new song dropped shortly after, check that out above.

It’s good to see the Latin legend in good spirits and good health again, as last summer he contracted a bad case of Coronavirus and had to spend some time in recovery. Though he bounced back in time for a partnership with McDonald’s last fall, and has apparently been busy in the studio based on the new music tonight. This is the first thing the Colombian star has released since his 2020 collaboration “Un Dia (One Day)” with Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny and Tainy.

Along with the new music, Balvin also announced a merch collection that’s a collaboration with 747 and La Plaga Invade, including a varsity jacket, mask, cap, hoodie, sweatpants, and music bundles. Shop that collection here and look out for more info on Balvin’s fifth album coming very soon.

Watch D’Angelo’s ‘Verzuz’ Battle Against A Slate Of Friends, Live At The Apollo

Since the advent of the pandemic and subsequent quarantine measures pretty much shut down live music and touring as we know it, Verzuz battles have taken off in a big way. Streamed live on Instagram, and now Apple Music, the face-off framework usually pairs two legends from the same era and style, who take turns playing songs from their discographies to determine a winner. Of course, like in most subjective battles like this, the real winner is the friends we make along the way… AKA the chance to celebrate the artists who have impacted our lives and made history. It’s much less about anything competitive as it is celebrating the artists and songs, as past setups with Gucci Mane and Jeezy, or Ashanti and Keyshia Cole (which went off when Cole finally showed up) or the Bay Area championship between Too Short and E-40 clearly illustrated.

Tonight things take a slightly different turn, though, probably because R&B icon D’Angelo doesn’t really have any nearby peers in terms of talent and status. Instead, D’Angelo is appearing live for a Verzuz at the equally legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem to face off against a crew of as yet unannounced friends. Tune in via the Verzuz Instagram, or Apple Music if you have it, to see who shows up. The DJ is spinning his warm up tunes, but D’Angelo is just taking the stage around 7 PM PST, so you still have time to settle in.
