Quavo & Jack Harlow Claim Open Run Victory Over 2 Chainz & Lil Baby, Fans React

What better way to unite members of the hip-hop community than under the common ground of basketball. The two have long gone hand-in-hand, and Bleacher Report brought hip-hop fans a step closer to seeing the two world’s full collide in their Open Run two-on-two match on Saturday (March 6). The match saw Quavo and Lil Baby teamed up against 2 Chainz and Lil Baby, with the Migos’ member and ‘What’s Poppin'” artist ultimately claiming victory.

The basketball game, presented by Modelo Beer, ended with a score of 21-7, with 2 Chainz and Lil Baby suffering defeat last night. Quavo was the undisputed all-star of the night, scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocks. This isn’t too surprising coming from the 29-year-old Georgia native who was named MVP of the 2018 Celebrity All-Star Game.

“Those are four good guys on one court – that’s gonna be fire,” Quavo told Billboard earlier this week about the game. “We the best two that’s gon’ win. You know anyone with me is going to win. Let’s get it. I hope they bring their A-game.”

Harlow was confident in his pairing with Quavo. “Well, I didn’t choose my teammate, but I got to say, I’m very happy with who I got,” he told Uproxx ahead of the game. “Out of the three other players, that would be my number one choice because he brings something to the game, based on everything I’ve seen on YouTube, that I don’t bring to the game. He’s a shooter, he seemed like a ball handler. I like his confidence on the court and I think I’m going to be complimenting him perfectly with my game and some of my grit. And I’m going to let him cut.”

As the winners, Quavo and Harlow will be receiving a cash prize of $500,000 plus Bleacher’s Report has pledged to donate another $500,000 to HBCUs of their choice. Check out some reactions to the star-studded game below.

Azealia Banks Is Taking Her Sex Tape To The NFT Space

Azealia Banks has always been an artist to do things in her own unique way and that is never going to change. Recently, the artist got engaged to her boyfriend Ryder Ripps and now, she is releasing a sex tape with him. This decision was made after giving her opinion on the new NFT crazy that has been sweeping the world. For those who don’t know, NFTs are a subsect of the crypto industry, where you can own pieces of art and other materials, as a piece of code on the Blockchain. Some artists are selling albums and their visual art, while Banks is selling sex.

“Can someone please do something outrageous with this NFT shit? We’ve been talking about sex and gender for the last four years, getting censored for not following the 10192882839202 gender/sexual identity narrative and absolutely none of y’all have the balls to actually fuck. Can I see some ass and tiddies in this bitch? Where is the cock and balls?” Banks wrote.

Now, her NFT is doing big numbers on the blockchain as one fan has already bid 10 Ether on the sex tape. This amounts to over $16,000 although considering Ether is a volatile investment, that value could either plummet or skyrocket incredibly fast.

There is still quite a bit of time left in the auction, so if anyone reading this is interested, you better be stacking your Ether because it’s going to cost you quite a bit. Not to mention, gas fees on Ethereum are quite hefty, which means you might be paying a lot more than you thought you signed up for.

Pop Smoke Joins M24 On “No Cap (Remix)” For “Boogie” Soundtrack

The late Pop Smoke unfortunately isn’t here to witness the impact he had across the globe but it’s certainly still heard. Last year’s Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon became one of the most successful projects of the year and Steven Victor recently stated that there’s even more music in the cut.

On Friday, the soundtrack to Boogie was released including a few unreleased cuts from Pop including “Fashion” ft. Polo G and “AP.” The soundtrack also includes Pop Smoke’s official remix of UK rapper M24’s “No Cap.” Quincy “tell em” holds down the production on the track with Pop Smoke sliding through with an additional verse to M24’s record. The song was rumored to initially be included on M24’s Drip And Drill. Though fans have had to wait for it, it’s well worth it.

Check out the record below and check out the rest of the Boogie soundtrack here.

Israel Adesanya Reacts To Loss To Jan Blachowicz At UFC 259

Israel Adesanya came into UFC 259 as the clear favorite against Jan Blachowicz. Perhaps the oddsmakers were a bit overzealous here, however, as moving up a weight class is never easy, and that’s exactly what Izzy was doing as he went from the Middleweight division to the Light Heavyweight class. In the end, it was Blachowicz who came away with the win, although it was by no means a blowout. Instead, Jan outclassed Izzy on the scorecard, winning by decision.

Immediately after the fight, Adesanya showed his humble nature as he congratulated Blachowicz on a wonderful bout while noting that he will be back stronger and better than ever. Adesanya now knows what it takes to win in the Light Heavyweight division, and he will be using that experience to his advantage the next time around.

“I’ve lost before,” Adesanya said. “I’ve lost in kickboxing. I’ve lost in boxing. I lost in life and I’ve lost in love. You don’t win all the time. I’m still here. My team’s still here. They still love me. My family loves me.”

Adesanya is still the champion in the Middleweight class and there are certainly numerous fighters who want to take that crown from him. Having said that, it shouldn’t be long before we see Izzy back in the Octagon.

Aljamain Sterling Wins UFC Bantamweight Title Following Petr Yan’s Disqualification

Aljamain Sterling was named the UFC bantamweight champion after Petr Yan was disqualified for hitting Sterling with an illegal knee to the head in the fourth round, Saturday night, at UFC 259 in Las Vegas.

“Everything I worked for man to this point and to fucking have the fight go like that. I thought the fight was very close. I thought I was down two rounds. Not the way I wanted to win,” Sterling said after the fight. “I just took the belt off. I was trying to continue being all fucked up. I was in bad shape. It would have been ego taking over.”

“I was in bad shape,” Sterling added. “The ref told me I was down. It’s fucking bullshit.”

Prior to Saturday night, no UFC belt had ever been won by disqualification. Regardless, it seemed definitive that the knee was an illegal move.

After the fight, Sterling took to Twitter to comment on the decision and declare that there will be a rematch: “Not the way I ever want to win a fight. It was close, competitive and filled with action. I felt the knee was intentional, especially after the ref announced I was a downed opponent, so I didn’t expect to be hit. Yan is a bad dude! WE WILL DO IT AGAIN!”

Amanda Nunes Wins Via 1st-Round Submission Against Megan Anderson At UFC 259

Amanda Nunes dominated Megan Anderson in the co-main event of UFC 259, defending her featherweight title with a submission in the first round.

Nunes came out swinging, connecting on multiple punches. In a flash, Nunes had Anderson locked in a triangle arm-bar, after which, Anderson tapped out.

Following the victory, Nunes celebrated with her daughter in the octagon.

In addition to Anderson, Nunes has defeated six former UFC champions in Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm, Miesha Tate, Germaine de Randamie, Valentina Shevchenko, and Cris Cyborg, making her the most dominant woman in UFC history.

Dana White praised Nunes prior to Saturday’s fight, saying that she’s been “dropping guys in camp.”

“She’s one of my all-time favorites,” White said of Nunes. “She doesn’t care who she’s fighting, she’ll fight anybody. One of the sweetest people that you’ll ever meet, very, very easy to deal with, but once she steps inside the octagon, she’s an absolute savage.

“What’s scary about her right now is Dan Lambert, the guy that runs her team, is saying he doesn’t understand why but she looks better than she’s ever looked in this camp, and she was dropping guys in camp. So this is gonna be interesting.”

Lee Daniels Says He Almost Directed A “Wolverine” Film For Hugh Jackman

Film Director Lee Daniels, who produced and directed Hulu’s newest film, The United States vs. Billie Holiday, says that Hugh Jackman once tried to get him to direct a Wolverine film, but studio executives shut it down.

After being swept away by his film, Precious, Jackson apparently approached Daniels and told him that he wanted him to do the next Wolverine film.

“He sent me into the studio to Fox… And I had never done a studio film before and it was a disaster,” Daniels explained during a recent interview with Collider. “Pitched my way right out of the room.”

He added that it was the worst meeting of his life: “I pulled over to the Kentucky Fried Chicken afterward and ate a whole six-pack of wings. It was the worst meeting of my life. I don’t know how he gets Wolverine from Precious, but I love him and he’s a friend to this day.”

Andra Day, who stars in Daniels’ The United States vs. Billie Holiday was awarded with a Golden Globe for her performance.

Speaking about why he chose to focus on the story of Billie Holiday, Daniels recently told The Guardian, “Part of the reason I wanted to tell Billie’s story is, I understand addiction and the artist. I also understand the feeling of a lack of self-worth, thinking that you aren’t talented. When your father tells you things like that at a young age, no matter how old you get, that voice is in your head.”
