Dr. Dre Denies Wife’s Abuse Allegations, Says She Wants More Money From Divorce

The allegations being slung by Dr. Dre and his estranged wife Nicole Young continue. It was last year when it was first reported that the Aftermath mogul and his wife of 25 years decided to split, and since the beginning, the billion-dollar divorce has made headlines. Young has accused her husband of carrying on multiple affairs and early on, she requested $2 million in temporary spousal support. Soon, Nicole returned with reported accusations that she endured domestic violence during her marriage, but Dre has denied the claims.

According to TMZ, Dr. Dre’s legal team has filed new paperwork that shows he has denied the allegation of abuse. He also reportedly accused his wife of creating the abuse narrative in an effort to receive more money in the divorce and alleges she never brought it up until she realized that their prenuptial agreement was still in place.

The court documents reportedly call the domestic violence accusations “appalling” and Dre denies Nicole’s claims that he abused her the night before their wedding. Nicole has also asserted that she was “forced” to sign the prenup, but the Rap mogul reportedly said that isn’t true. At the top of the year, Dr. Dre suffered a health scare when he was admitted to the hospital after suffering a brain aneurysm and TMZ reports that these proceedings have been “stressful” for him. During his recovery, Dre advanced $2 million to his wife.

Lamar Odom Talks Stopping Fight Between Kobe Braynt & Master P

There are celebrities who have opted to keep details of their personal lives far away from the public eye, but Lamar Odom has spent years sharing his triumphs and pitfalls with the world. If he’s not penning tales about his most scandalous moments for a memoir, Odom regularly sits down to discuss the ins and out of his NBA career or the infamous moments involving his drug and sex addictions. Odom is good for sharing stories about his famous friends, as well, and recently, he sat down with VladTV and spoke about a time when he broke up a fight between Kobe Bryant and Master P.

Odom suggested that when the Lakers practice, “people just pop up.” He added, “You might not say nothin’, you might not catch eye contact with them, but you notice they there.” Master P showed up at a Lakers practice and “the aura, the energy, or the timing of it wasn’t really…wasn’t really kinda feeling it.”

“You gotta understand, these are two alpha males and their own, in with what they do,” Odom continued. “Awkward. You feel me? So, I’m from the street so I can peep it. So, I’m tryin’ to just dead it, but it was awkward.” Vlad wanted to know if Odom had to step in between the two stars. “It wasn’t like, getting in the middle but I’m just gon’ check both of they temperature and make sure they cool.”

“The energy was just off between them.” Odom seemed apprehensive with giving up too many details about what really went down, but he said he used his New York City instincts to calm whatever was brewing. Master P has previously given his version of events about this exchange with Bryant. Check out the clip below.

Swizz Beatz Brags “Verzuz” Is Bigger Than “Saturday Night Live”

Each Verzuz matches or supersedes the previous, making it one of the biggest platforms for artists to showcase their talents. What began as an idea years ago materialized under COVID-19 quarantine as artists and musicians were forced to come up with new ways to connect with fans. Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have made big moves with Verzuz with sponsors like Ciroc and deals with Peleton and Triller. There are also talks about having Verzuz tours in the near future and with Swizz and Tim at the reigns, there’s no limit on what may develop.

We’re fresh off of the Earth, Wind, and Fire-Isley Brothers‘ match-up that is still talked about, and as they regularly do, Timbaland and Swizz hopped on Instagram Live to chat about their platform. Timbaland commented that Verzuz is the new Saturday Night Live, but Swizz thinks we’re past that. “Nah, we bigger than that,” said Swizz. “Our numbers beat SNL.”

Timbaland told him to say it one more time. “Our numbers are bigger than SNL,” Swizz repeated. “That’s not cap. That’s real talk.” The two moguls talked about the most recent Verzuz and Swizz admitted that it’s going to be hard to top that one. “It’s not about like, the best Verzuz,” Swizz added. “It’s about celebrating the creative. “

“So, some nights we gonna have the Super Bowl, and some nights we gonna have the Pro Bowl, some nights we gonna have the Rose Bowl, but we gon’ have a good time.” Check out the clip below.

Belly Begins His Comeback Season With ‘IYKYK’ And ‘Money On The Table’ Featuring Benny The Butcher

The last few years were quiet ones for New York rapper Belly after he released his Roc Nation debut Immigrant (renamed from Midnight Zone) in 2018. However, while he wasn’t releasing music for the last two years, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t working on it. Today, he made his long-awaited return to the spotlight with two new singles, “Money on the Table” featuring Benny The Butcher and “IYKYK.” Both singles support the upcoming release of Belly’s third studio album See You Next Wednesday.

While the former track finds both Belly and Benny in their typical boastful modes, “IYKYK” is a more vulnerable and introspective song, on which Belly admits to feeling “neurotic” and addresses the pressures of life. The tone’s consistent with his recent social media messaging, with which he shares his struggles with his health, both mental and physical. A press release for the new singles promises that his upcoming album, named in honor of filmmaker John Landis, will contain similar content, while the singles themselves show Belly hasn’t lost a step and remains as lyrically sharp as ever.

That pen game served him well in 2020; he helped co-write his XO Records label boss The Weeknd’s hit single “Blinding Lights,” which spent 56 weeks on the Billboard Top 10 songs chart. Stay tuned for him to complete his comeback with See You Next Wednesday, due later this year on XO/Republic.
