La’Britney Is Over Mixed Signals On “Ducked Off” Single

Love & Hip Hop Hollywood fans watched years ago as R&B singer La’Britney continued her music career pursuits on the hit series. She’s collaborated on a track with Kash Doll back in 208 and on the VH1 show, she was seen working with A1 before having a bit of drama with his wife, Lyrica. La’Britney has moved on to Notorious Queens, an ALLBLK series featuring women buzzing in the business who are demanding their time in the spotlight.

On the season finale of Notorious Queens, La’Britney debuted her latest single, “Ducked Off.” On the track, she sings about getting mixed signals as she debates whether or not it’s time to leave her significant other in the dust. “I had to ‘Duck Off’ and put myself at the top of my to-do list, so that the rest could fall into place,” the singer told Bossip.

The Detroit native is reportedly working on much more, but for now, stream “Ducked Off” and let us know what you think.

You don’t hear what I mean
Until I get up and leave
The message you sending me
That I should part ways and just back off

Idaho School Shooting: Sixth-Grade Girl Injures 2 Students, 1 Teacher

America is facing the fallout of yet another school shooting, this time in Idaho. Yesterday (May 7), reports circulated that there had been a shooting at Rigby Middle School in Rigby, Idaho. Exact details of what occurred are still being pieced together by authorities, but it has been widely reported that the shooter has been identified as a sixth-grade girl.

The child is said to have reached inside of her backpack, pulled out a gun, and began to open fire, injuring three.

Two students and a member of the school’s staff, a custodian named Jim Wilson, were shot before Krista Gneiting, an eighth-grade math teacher, disarmed the child. It has been reported that all victims will recover from their injuries and Wilson has been released from the hospital. As of Friday morning, the two students remain hospitalized but a doctor shared that they might be able to return home before the day’s end.

The school suspended classes in order for students to take a “mental health day.” The sixth-grade shooter is being held in juvenile detention. Gneiting has praised for her efforts in stopping a shooting that could have turned deadly. She shared her gratitude for the kind words over on Facebook.

“My heart is touched by all the incredible outpouring of love I’ve received,” she wrote. “Thank you. I don’t want money. I just appreciate the incredible support of Rigby!!! I love my students so much! It is why I teach!!” A GoFundMe set up for Wilson has reportedly reached over $20K. Check out news broadcasts covering the frightening event below.

Casanova 2x’s Wife Spits Rhymes About Rapper: “I Had To Do It For My Baby”

It has been just over five months since Casanova turned himself over to federal authorities and each day is agony for his wife, Jasmere Corbett, or Swaggy Jazzy. The rapper was named in an indictment against 18 alleged members of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Gang and has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy charges involving racketeering and distributing controlled substances, as well as firearm possession. The gang itself has been tacked with a litany of charges including the murder of a 15-year-old and fraud.

Casanova has repeatedly denied the allegations against him and Corbett has regularly taken to social media to share moments with her husband, even behind bars. Earlier today (May 7), Corbett shared a video of herself on social media where she spit a few bars about holding down her man as she pleads for his return.

“Even though this situation ugly, He ain’t run he just wanted to hug me!” she wrote in the caption that matches her lyrics. “Y’all know I had to do it one time for my baby.” In the clip, Corbett rhymes, “I hope that you hearing this / Please don’t shed a tear to this / ‘Cause word to my period / I’mma visit monthly / I try not to lose my sanity / Please judge don’t take away my family again / Not Again / Because if I can’t break him out I’m breakin’ in.”

Swizz Beatz Explains Airing Out Frustrations At Memorial For DMX

Often, artists speak about the love that they have for one another or take to social media to give those that they admire their “flowers,” but sincerity is difficult to come by in the music industry. There have been plenty of stories shared over the years about snakes, sharks, scammers, and double-dealers, but sometimes, two artists come together to form a lifelong bond like Swizz Beatz and DMX.

The world suffered a tremendous loss when DMX passed away, and Swizz stood by the rapper’s side until the end. The pair have referred to one another as brothers, and during X’s memorial service, Swizz addressed those who hurried to get their exclusive passes to DMX’s funeral but were absent when he was hurting.

It was a moving moment that has been viewed online by millions in the weeks that have passed, and during his recent interview with Angie Martinez, Swizz explained why he decided to speak up. He said that fans had shown DMX “a lot of love,” but it was “the other love he was looking for and I don’t think he got a lot of” it.

“And that’s what made me want to say what I said at his homegoing because I was dealing with a lot of that on the other side,” said Swizz. “And I was with X a lot. Especially even recently, back to back. So, I was very current in his life and understanding where he was at and what he was going through. And so, when I started seeing things, as his brother, naturally, it just bothered me. I couldn’t help but say what I said. And I meant what I said.”

Angie wanted to know if Swizz was referring to industry people or other artists. “Friends, family members, business members, you name it. There’s a bucket of those people that I was talking to because they all got they different things with him. I got to see all sides. It’s just like, a lot of people just always wanna take advantage at the wrong time. I don’t like none of that.”

Swizz was then praised for being a genuine, authentic friend to DMX throughout his triumphs and trials, but the megaproducer graciously thanked Angie for the compliments but added he was just doing what he was supposed to do. Watch Swizz Beatz chop it up with Angie Martinez below.

She donned several sporty looks for her latest music video, but Saweetie couldn’t avoid getting teased by her fans. The Pretty B*tch Music rapper is slated to release her debut album sometime this year, and the single she released today (May 7), “Fast (Motion),” is said to be included on the tracklist. The Pop-heavy Rap crossover arrived with a music video that showed Saweetie giving nods to fields of basketball, football, and track.

In one part of the visual, Saweetie is seen stretching—well, three Saweeties that is—before she takes off for what looks to be a light jog. Fans pointed out her awkward form.

“Love to the Icy Gang but is this her first time running?” a tweet read. Saweetie found humor in it and issued an explanation. “LMAOOOOO it’s not but y’all can roast me it was 4am on a mini treadmill I thought I was finna fall off [crying laughing emojis].” In fact, in high school and college, Saweetie was reportedly a sports star. The rapper has previously shared that she used to play volleyball, powderpuff football, and track.

I love it.” Additionally, Saweetie’s grandfather, Willie Harper, played for the San Fransisco 49ers. If you haven’t already, check out Saweetie’s latest single, “Fast (Motion),” below.

Lakeith Stanfield Criticized For Moderating Clubhouse Room With Anti-Semitic Speech

The hype surrounding Clubhouse has dissipated, but the app is still thriving. There has been a considerable drop in conversations regarding the impact and influence of Clubhouse, however, celebrities and artists have continued to utilize the platform to host and participate in discussions. Oscar-nominated actor Lakeith Stanfield is one who has regularly made appearances in Clubhouse rooms, and according to TMZ, he’s facing a new set of accusations.

The outlet states that there was a chatroom titled “Did Min. Farrakhan Tarnish His Legacy by Being Antisemitic?” before its moderator closed it out. A second room called “Someone Ended the Room About Farrakhan” popped up, and the actor was reportedly listed as a moderator. Someone who was in the room reportedly said the conversation was “worse than things that I’ve read or heard about neo-Nazis saying.”

The Daily Beast reports that a Jewish woman did speak up and asked Stanfield why he chose not to address the hate speech, and he allegedly responded by saying that he didn’t want to confront the issue. “He told her, ‘This is probably an emotional kind of room for you, tensions are running high, and I understand this is a very heated room.’ Then he just kind of danced around it not really saying anything.”

The following day, Stanfield reportedly joined a room with a panel of Jewish moderators who spoke about the previous day’s encounter. The actor admitted that he didn’t do enough in curving the anti-Semitic conversation.

If the actor chooses to moderate a room in the future, he reportedly said he will pay “attention to what is actually being discussed and determine if that’s a discussion that you really want to get into,” further admitting that he isn’t that knowledgeable about “the origins of Judaism in Jewishness.”

“I’ve been in a couple rooms where a lot of sh*t has been discussed and talked about, very heightened emotional states. It’s been very enlightening and interesting to me,” TMZ reports the actor said. Do you think he should have spoken up?

Erica Mena Doesn’t “Regret Or Take Back” Wendy Williams Threat

For decades, Wendy Williams has used her platform to make shady remarks about celebrities. The famed talk show host began her career in radio and was known for her hot takes on pop culture, and it’s those verbal jabs helped her amass the success that she has acquired. Not many celebrities bite back against Williams because they choose to either ignore the rude remarks or use them to their advantage, often visiting Wendy’s show to plug their projects.

However, Erica Mena is no longer playing nice and has unleashed her frustrations against Williams. For years, Wendy has spoken about Erica’s past relationship with Bow Wow, her television appearances, and her marriage troubles with Safaree Samuels. After announcing that she’s expecting Baby No. 2, Williams added Mena to her “Hot Topics” and told the reality star that a baby won’t save a marriage. Mena wasn’t having it.

Earlier this week, Erica Mena tweeted, “At this point let’s link up so I can beat your ass. Your ex husband didn’t do a good enough job.” The tweet was highly criticized, but Mena returned to Twitter with an “I said what I said” response to her critics. “There was nothing more to really report on hot topics besides we are expecting another blessing,” Mena stated. “But as always this creature always wants to give advice on marriage, a subject she failed at.”

“She never attacks the men who actually are at fault. It’s always her going at women,” Mena continued. “Me being one any chance she gets. For years I stood quiet when it comes to this creatures nasty statements. This time I played her own game. I don’t regret or take back anything. No one is going to constantly disrespect me and put limits on how I disrespect back.

Williams hasn’t responded, but it wouldn’t be surprising if this one made its way to her “Hot Topics” once again. Read through Erica Mena’s posts below.

Chet Hanks Allegedly Caught Asking A Fan For $200 In Leaked DMs

We’re not sure how Chet Hanks’s “White Boy Summer” plans are panning out, but a fan claims he attempted to hustle her out of cash. Hanks has taken a bit of a break from his controversies, although he is still facing legal troubles. The son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson has developed an unlikely reputation after donning a Jamaican accent and declaring this year’s mid-months to be “White Boy Summer.” He called for his “vanilla kings” to come forward, but not everyone was joining the movement.

Then, news surfaced that Hanks was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend. She filed a lawsuit against the celebrity spawn and alleged that she endured months of domestic violence at the hands of Hanks, but he returned the favor and began legal proceedings against her, as well. As those cases move forward, screenshots of an alleged DM between Hanks and a fan has gone viral, and it shows the wannabe rapper asking her for money.

The fan, reportedly named Lily, saw one of Hanks’s Instagram Stories and wrote to him saying, “I love you.” He replied, “Do you really,” and she said, “Yes” with a red heart emoji. Hours later, he responds, “You got some money for me baby?” Lily asks, “Whatchu need king” and Hanks wrote, “What’s the most you could give me right now baby? Be honest.”

After dropping a thinking face emoji Lily told him that for him, she could slide through $22. Hanks replied, “How about 200.” She wanted to know why he wanted that much money, and he told her it’s for his bills. He added that he would call her, as well, but she didn’t go for it.

“Your dad is forrest gump,” Lil responded. “Love u tho king im in la if u ever want to do pushups on the beach.” No word on what Hanks thought of that. Swipe below to read through the awkward exchange.
