According to Benzino, Coi Leray isn’t his only child making be moves in the music industry. While on Instagram Live, he announced that his son, known as Chavo, got a record deal with Interscope when he was just nine years old. He also shared Chavo is currently working with producer Playboy Carti’s Pierre Bourne and “just got about a $75,000 streaming check.”

With origins in the Soundcloud scene, Chavo found his home in the supergroup Sosshouse, along with Pierre, Jelly, Bermuda Yae, J Billz, Sharc, and Fraizer Trill. His upcoming project, Chavo’s World 2 was exclusively produced by good friend Pierre Bourne and elevated with features from little sis Coi Leray. The project and tracklist were announced in March, but fans are still waiting on an official release date.

To close, Benzino added the bold statement, “that’s two kids, who got major deals by these nuts.”

Interestingly, he then went into a rant about how well he knows Coi, when just a few months ago the father-daughter pair were publicly airing out family issues on social media. After so much talk about Benzino’s parenting skills, he seems to be recreating his image by promoting his children while he rides the wave from recent publicity, too.

Darnella Frazier was only seventeen years old when she filmed a video of Derek Chauvin fatally kneeling on George Floyd’s neck for over eight minutes. Had she not taken out her cell phone and started the video, there is a chance that Floyd’s murderer could still be walking the street as a police officer. 

Her video was used as a major piece of evidence against Derek Chauvin, who was found guilty of murder last month. On Tuesday, the world remembered George Floyd one year after he was killed in Minnesota. She reflected on the last year with a post on social media.

“Even though this was a traumatic life-changing experience for me, I’m proud of myself. If it weren’t for my video, the world wouldn’t have known the truth. I own that. My video didn’t save George Floyd, but it put his murderer away and off the streets,” said Frazier in her letter. 

She explained that her life has changed dramatically in the last year, relocating out of fear that her home was no longer safe and watching over her shoulder at all times. She says that her nine-year-old cousin, who was also a witness to the crime, lost a part of her childhood. 

“It made me realize how dangerous it is to be Black in America,” she wrote. “We shouldn’t have to walk on eggshells around police officers, the same people that are supposed to protect and serve. We are looked at as thugs, animals, and criminals, all because of the color of our skin.”

In a new preview of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, reality star Kim Kardashian reveals she did not pass the baby bar exam.

After announcing she would be attending law school in 2019, the world has kept a close eye on Kim’s progress to see if she was serious or attempting to reenact Legally Blonde.

“I am a failure.” She said on the phone with mentor and attorney Jessica Jackson during the clip. Jackson assured her that she should give herself some leeway for not passing the exam, while taking it online at home, versus in a traditional test environment. 

With an unsatisfactory score of 474, under a passing 560, Kim must retake the exam to continue her journey to becoming a lawyer.

Sisters Khloe and Courtney suggested that retaking the exam in the fall was the best option to prevent another year from slipping by or creating an opportunity to forget the material. 

Kim has made legal waves since 2019, such as with her assistance in freeing Alice Marie Johnson, proving her passion for this to be more than just for promotion and publicity. 

As we reported, Van Jones is quite confident in Kim’s ability to pass. He was recently quoted saying, “I think she’s going to be an unbelievable attorney and she’s already one of the best advocates that we have in criminal justice,” a huge compliment from the CNN host.

25-year-old Hailie Jade Mathers, daughter of Eminem, snapped a pic for the Gram on Tuesday, declaring that she is “ready for allllll the summer days,” and we have to co-sign the sentiment.

In a visually-interesting double mirror angle shot, she poses confidently in a bathroom mirror. An all-white bikini set paired with a baby blue bucket hat contrasts against her tan skin. One fan complimented her style in the comments saying, “You look great Hailie! Love the suit!”

Hailie has amassed over 2.1 million followers on Instagram, where she attempts “to curate a feed that accurately represents my life and is somehow still aesthetically pleasing” according to her bio. 

For a celebrity child, the Michigan State graduate has a refreshingly transparent page, sharing her fitness journey and makeup tips along with an array of outfit photos. Hailie also has a large following on TikTok where she shares content as an extension of her Instagram.

Eminem expressed his love for his daughter during a 2020 interview for Mike Tyson’s ‘Hot Boxin’’ podcast, sharing, “she’s made me proud for sure.” He also helped raised two of his nieces and stated keeping them humble was very important to him. The “Lose Yourself” rapper stated,

“So when I think about my accomplishments, that’s probably the thing I’m the most proud of is being able to raise kids..“It’s important to keep your kids grounded when they’re in a situation like I have..people also think too that money just buys happiness, [but] that absolutely is not the truth. You’ve got to be right inside, otherwise none of this sh*t means nothing.”

G Herbo’s been dealing with some serious legal issues in the past few months in relation to a $1.5M fraud case. The rapper was among six people accused of using false identities to make lavish purchases of upwards of $1M including private jets, designer dogs, and foreign vehicles.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that the rapper faced additional charges on top of charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aggravated identify theft. Herbo was also charged with lying to a federal agent in December 2018 for allegedly providing false information regarding his relationship with another co-defendant.

According to Mass Live, the rapper entered a not guilty plea to charges of lying to a federal agent. The rapper appeared in court via Zoom where he was reportedly “respectful” and “subdued.” His lawyer Jim Lawson told the judge that his client was well-aware of the charges against him.

“Mr. Wright is an intelligent man; he understands the concept,” Lawson said.

The announcement of Herbo’s not guilty plea arrives a few weeks after it was reported that the rapper was weighing out the possibilities of entering a plea deal. Attorney Andrew E. Lelling said that the decision on the possible plea is expected to be made before August of this year.

You can’t deny Gucci Mane’s ear for talent. GuWop’s legacy is cemented in the history books of hip-hop but it’s not only because of his incredible output over the course of his career. It’s his ability to identify talent and introduce them to the world. That’s why Pooh Shiesty’s ascent to stardom has been exciting. Shiesty Season has been among some of the best rap releases of the year. The Spring Deluxearrived on Friday, adding four new songs to the tracklist including a collaboration with Lil Baby.

Though it’s unclear what type of numbers the deluxe edition will do, considering it’s only four additional tracks, Shiesty is still racking up streams and sales. “Back In Blood” ft. Lil Durk has remained one of the biggest anthems of the year, even if it was released in 2020. Now, the two rappers have taken the record to new heights as it’s officially eligible for 2x platinum status by the RIAA.

The two artists have formed solid chemistry on wax that they extended on Durk’s The Voice (Deluxe). Earlier this week, they unveiled the visual for their collaboration on the project, “Should’ve Ducked.” 

Hopefully, we get a Pooh Shiesty appearance on Durk and Lil Baby’s forthcoming, Voice Of The Heroes project which is expected to drop next week.
