LBS Kee’vin’s “Spaghetti” Is An Exciting Track From The Rapper’s Latest Two-Pack Project

Pensacola rapper LBS Kee’vin recently linked up with HNHH for the new Rise & Grind editorial series, and during his interview, he revealed that he would likely forego dropping a project this year in favor of knocking out consistent singles and features. Since then, the Belair Baby has done just that, having released “Run Wit It” in March and the OMB Peezy-assisted “That’s Life” earlier this month.

On Friday, LBS Kee’vin returned once more to apply even more pressure, and his latest release was a two-pack project that featured two new singles — “Spaghetti” and “Supplier Flow.” You can check out the music video for the latter single below.

The lengthier of the two new tracks is “Spaghetti,” a three-minute cut that positions a high-pitched Kee’vin over an eclectic, yet hard-hitting beat. Produced by ProjextX and Kadry, “Spaghetti” is an entertaining new effort from the Pensacola rapper that’s infused with infectious energy and packed with memorable bars.

Jayda Cheaves & Lil Baby Rock Matching Fits & Spark Reconciliation Rumors

Lil Baby is slowly inching towards world domination. The Atlanta rap star has successfully crossed over from a strictly-trap audience to becoming one of the most recognizable artists in the world. Of course, as his celebrity rises so does the already established interest in his love life.

He and his on-again-off-again girlfriend Jayda Cheaves have been linked together for quite some time now, welcoming a son together named Loyal Armani in February of 2019. Of course, their relationship has not been without some bumps in the road due to some adultery from the “On Me” rapper. Despite this, the lovebirds almost always find their way back to each other. Formally announcing their breakup back in February of this year, it seems like they may be giving it another shot.

Following up on a slew of gifts given to Jayda by the Grammy-nominated artist this year even after their breakup, the pair was spotted courtside at an Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks game last night (May 28) rocking matching Louis Vuitton fits. Jayda donned camo-print pants and a cropped LV top paired with a blue Birkin and red fur slides, while Lil Baby wore a matching LV set.

Cameras captured the on-again-off-again couple as they engaged in conversation during the game, seeming to be enjoying each other’s company.

Despite their break-up–and possible reconciliation, the Atlanta trapper has kept true to his promise of making sure the mother of his child is always good. This month alone, he sent Jayda a gorgeous bouquet of flowers to celebrate her new business. He also treated her to a new car, some new Birkins, and a birthday party for Mother’s Day.

It seems like there’s truly no keeping these lovebirds away from each other.

Swizz Beatz Revealed DMX Believed ‘Exodus’ Would Be His Last Album, Saying, ‘X Was Tired’

On Friday DMX’s posthumous album, Exodus was released. Fans of the late rapper can rest assure knowing that the final body of work was completed before DMX tragically passed. Swizz Beatz, who executive produced Exdous, also revealed that a bulk of the project was completed after DMX and Snoop Dogg’s Verzuz battle last summer. In a recent Rolling Stone interview, Swizz spoke about the energy DMX had while he recorded the album — or lack thereof.

“We’d been talking about this record for a long time, but after we did Verzuz [in July 2020], he was ready,” Swizz said during the interview. “He saw that the people were showing him love and the fans were ready.” He added, “X was tired. The whole time we were doing the album, he was excited, but he was like, ‘I think this is going to be my last album.’ I was just like, ‘Let’s get through this and then let’s see; let’s judge it later, let’s not judge it now.’”

Swizz concluded, “I just tried keeping him in the now spirit, instead of thinking about what he’s not gonna do. But obviously, he knew something we didn’t.”

The famed hip-hop producer also shared his own feelings about the album now that it’s out. “I can at least listen to a song now without breaking down,” Swizz said. “I’m making it look strong, but I’m crushed, I’m destroyed, I’m hurt. But I had to pull this through for him and his family and for his legacy.”

Post Malone & Swae Lee Go 12X Platinum With “Sunflower”

Back in 2018, movie fans fell in love with Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. It was a truly incredible animated movie that told a brand new story in the Spider-Man universe. While the characters, plot, and visuals were great, there is no denying that the movie had a wonderful soundtrack as well. In fact, there were some big hits to come from the soundtrack, including “Sunflower” which featured the likes of Post Malone and Swae Lee.

This song was everywhere on the radio when it first came out and it is very easy to see why. With catchy hooks, bubbly production, and a ton of charm, this quickly became one of the biggest songs of 2019 and it was inescapable. In November of 2020, the song officially went diamond which means 10 times Platinum. Just yesterday, it was revealed that the song is now 12 times platinum, which is a truly incredible accomplishment.

Post Malone has gone diamond three times in his career. The three songs in question are “Rockstar,” “Congratulations,” and, of course, “Sunflower.” Both Swae and Post are great hitmakers and joining forces proved to be quite lucrative for the two artists.

Perhaps this success will prompt them to team up again, in the near future.

Kim Kardashian Shows Off Upcoming Yeezy Collection

As any person familiar with pop culture knows, Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce from Kanye West back in February of this year after months of speculation that separation was impending. After six years of marriage and four children together, the pair finally called it quits. Since then, buzz surrounding who each of them has been seeing post-break-up has been loud.

Despite the rumors, it seems like there’s no bad blood between the A-listers following their split. As part-owner Kanye’s YEEZY brand–gifted to her by Ye himself, the former wife of the rap mogul took time to promote some upcoming heat from the popular streetwear brand.

Sharing prototypes of around a dozen or so new sneaker releases from the brand, Kim K took to Instagram stories to pan over the upcoming releases on Friday (May 28). Simply adding some flame emojis and chill-emojis to the post accentuate the drippy new drops, she offered an exclusive look to fans of what’s next up for the brand.

As for how she became part-owner of YEEZY, she explained in a 2018 interview that Kanye had gifted stock in the company to her. “A brand offered me a million dollars to do a post on, you know, some of their clothing. And they typically…I don’t want to say who the brand is, but they typically knock off YEEZY,” she disclosed.

She furthered that after refusing to take part in the sponsored post, Ye gifted her something even better. “I open the envelope and it’s a million-dollar check and it was a note saying, ‘Thank you for always supporting me and not posting.’ And then, in the rest of the envelope, it was a contract to be an owner of YEEZY and my percentage.”

What do you think of the new YEEZY heat? Feeling it or nah?

J.I.D Says His Forthcoming Album “Is The One”

Since 2018, J.I.D. has kept fans waiting for his highly anticipated follow-up to DiCaprio 2, and although the Atlanta rapper’s presence was felt all throughout Spillage Village’s Spilligion last year, J.I.D’s third studio album is more than overdue. Within the last couple of months, the Dreamville artist has been ramping up the “album mode” teasers and even linking up with artists like Drake, and today, J.I.D. comes through with another promising, albeit vague, update on his forthcoming album, The Forever Story.

Taking to Twitter to further tease The Forever Story, J.I.D wastes no time in hyping up his forthcoming release. “The Forever story is the one..,” the Atlanta artist reveals in a recent tweet. “it’s otw soon I been working for years on dis bit…I feel good about my growth.”

While J.I.D’s tweet doesn’t explicitly reveal a release date for The Forever Story, he does promise that it will arrive soon. Calling it “the one,” can mean a lot of different things, but the Dreamville artist does confirm that the project will showcase his growth. In another tweet, he writes, “I needed time and space to evolve but #TFS is da origin story.”

With the promise that “The Forever Story” is “otw soon,” Dreamville and Spillage Village fans will have to wait a little bit longer to listen to J.I.D’s highly anticipated third studio album. Stay tuned as details continue to roll in.

Jayson Tatum Reacts After Scoring 50 Points Against The Nets

Jayson Tatum is one of the best young players in the NBA right now and while he might be inconsistent at times, there is no denying the fact that he has unlimited potential when he is at the top of his game. Friday night was a prime example of this as he took on the Brooklyn Nets virtually by himself. Despite being guarded by the likes of Kevin Durant, Tatum went off and scored a whopping 50 points all while picking up six rebounds and seven assists. These efforts helped propel the Celtics to a huge win that cut the Brooklyn Nets’ series lead in half.

The Celtics are massive underdogs in this series and if they want any chance at keeping this competitive, they’re going to need performances like this every single night. While this is an impossible task, it appears as though Tatum is up to the challenge.

“It’s just one of those nights,” Tatum said per ESPN. “Trying to protect home court, trying to get a win at all costs. Sometimes, nights like these are needed.”

With Game 4 going down on Sunday, the Celtics will have a chance to tie the series. Of course, this is easier said than done, especially when you consider just how much talent awaits on the other side of the court. Regardless, this series has officially become compelling and it’s all thanks to Tatum.

Lil Tjay Says “He’s The Youngest N*gga Doing It” After BET Awards Snub

Lil Tjay has enjoyed a significant wave of success this year following the rollout of his second studio album Destined 2 Win with appearances from Polo G, Saweetie, Tyga, Toosii, Moneybagg Yo, and more. The album boasted his highest-charting song to date, his collaboration with Atlanta frontrunner 6lack “Calling My Phone.”

BET Network recently unveiled their nominations for the 2021 BET Awards ceremony, which has been met with mixed reactions from audiences for many categories, namely the Rap categories. Despite the commercial and critical success of Tjay’s project, the Bronx native was notably excluded from the list of nominees. He took to Instagram stories to air out his feelings about the snub, dubbing himself the “youngest n*gga doing it,” while also calling out the network directly.

“Be honest with yourself n*gga, who the f*ck is the youngest n*gga doing it. Let’s be real, man,” he says as he flashes his iced-out wrist to the camera. “Let’s be real, 2021 looking… Don’t give a f*ck about no nomination, n*gga, I’m getting money like this, sh*t like that don’t really f*cking matter.”

“Sh*t, I’m just talking to talk,” he finished in the Instagram story rant. He shared another post in his story aimed at the network, penning on a black screen, “@BET when ima get nominated for some sh*t,” with an inquisitive emoji.

While the New York native was snubbed from this year’s nominees, other names nominated include The Weeknd, Cardi B, Megan thee Stallion, Drake, Pop Smoke, Summer Walker, Pooh Shiesty, and man, many, more.

What do you think of Lil Tjay’s proclamation? Let us know down in the comments.

Soulja Boy & Bow Wow Engage In Friendly Banter Ahead Of Verzuz Battle

Soulja Boy and Bow Wow are no strangers to the social media world and when it comes to their Twitter accounts, they have no issues engaging in some lighthearted banter. This is especially true now that Soulja Boy and Bow Wow are reportedly going to engage in a Verzuz battle next month. Both of these men are pioneers of the internet age and they have some classic tracks to their names. With this in mind, it only makes sense they would battle each other in what should be an incredible night for millennial hip-hop fans who grew up with these two.

Ahead of this battle, Bow Wow sent some shots Soulja’s way, saying “Lil bro, @souljaboy i really care for you bro. You still have time to back out the battle i don’t wanna do you like this. Lets just be friends.” This prompted an immediate response from Soulja Boy who said “Back outttt???!!!! I want all the smoke Shad. Something tells me you underestimating big Draco I gotta show u.”

Bow Wow came right back, acknowledging that Soulja Boy had just used his real name. This led to Bow Wow using the exact same tactics in his retort. “Awww hell naw! You just called me my government? This means war cortez,” he wrote.

It’s crystal clear that these two have no real bad blood and are simply looking to promote the battle. These two are extremely savvy when it comes to social media, and there is no doubt their battle is going to lead to some great moments.

Jay-Z Recounts Ghostwriting “Still D.R.E.” On LeBron James’ “The Shop”

While he and his Los Angeles Lakers were resting in preparation for their fourth playoff game against the Pheonix Suns, LeBron James was busy sharing the Season 4 premiere of his HBO show The Shop. For the highly anticipated episode, LeBron and Maverick Carter hosted generational talents such as Bad Bunny, WNBA star Nneka Ogwumike, Paul Rivera, and perhaps most surprisingly, Jay-Z.

As previously reported, Jay-Z admits to forgetting lyrics while on the show, and later on, the 4:44 artist reminisces on boycotting the Grammys in 1999 in support of DMX. Apparently, Jay-Z continues to drop jewels throughout his appearance on The Shop because another clip finds the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee touching on his experience ghostwriting for Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on “Still D.R.E.”

The topic of ghostwriting begins after Maverick discusses the original Space Jam‘s stacked soundtrack, which contained plenty of bars from a Reasonable Doubt-era Jay-Z. When Maverick asks Hov if he remembers writing the lyrics for Bugs Bunny’s rap, Jay-Z hilariously replies, “Yeah, definitely. I was in Sony Studios acting like a rabbit.”

After a chorus of laughs, the conversation evolves into Jay-Z’s penchant for writing bars from other people’s perspectives, a talent that he predominantly displayed while ghostwriting Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s lyrics for “Still D.R.E.” After another nudge from Maverick, Jay-Z breaks down the entire experience and provides some intriguing new insights.

“Well on that reference track, I’m doing Dre and Snoop’s vocals,” Hov says before doing a live impression of the two legendary West Coast artists. “The reference track, it sounds like them. The Foxy [Brown] reference? I’m glad no one can find them.”

“You’ve gotta have somewhat of a reverence for them,” he continues. “Obviously, the music they were making — The Chronic and all that. In order for me to really nail the essence of Dre and Snoop, [it] had to be like a studied reverence of what they were doing to even put myself in their shoes.”

Stay tuned for more updates on the biggest moments from the season premiere of LeBron James’ “The Shop.”
