Air Jordan 1 “Bred Reimagined” Coming This Fall: On-Foot Photos

Out of all the Air Jordan 1 colorways to be released over the years, there is no denying that the “Bred” offering is one of the most popular. It is a shoe that came out back in 1985 and was a huge hit with sneakerheads. To this day, the black and red Jordan 1 still gets some retro releases and at times, Jordan Brand makes some changes to the shoe as a way to give fans something unique to add to their collections.

The Air Jordan 1 “Bred Reimagined,” otherwise known as the “Patent Bred,” is the latest Air Jordan 1 “Bred” model to be shown off on the internet. For the last few weeks, teasers of this shoe have been showing up all over the place although the image quality has been suspect, to say the least. Now, Instagram user @fxxkvlogvi has come through with the best images of the shoe, thus far. As you can see in the post below, the black and red silhouette is covered in flashy patent leather that glistens on your foot. It’s a gorgeous aesthetic that will certainly prove popular upon release.

If you are planning on grabbing a pair, it is believed that these will drop on October 23rd of this year, although this date is subject to change. Keep it locked to HNHH for all of the latest updates from the sneaker world.

Lil Durk’s Brother DThang Was Reportedly Shot And Killed Outside A Illinois Club

Lil Durk has dealt with the loss of close friends at several instances in his career and unfortunately, the rapper will now have to deal with the death of another one. According to Chicago’s WGCI, Durk’s brother, DThang, was reportedly shot and killed on Saturday night. The reports say that DThang, born Dontay Banks Jr., was shot in the head outside of Club O, a strip club in Harvey, Illinois, a city south of his hometown of Chicago. HipHopDX adds that witnesses at the scene said DThang suffered a gunshot wound to the head which killed him instantly upon impact.

The passing of DThang comes eight months after King Von, who Durk affectionately referred to as “twin,” was shot and killed outside a nightclub in Atlanta. Von’s death shocked the hip-hop world as the fellow Chicago rapper was quickly rising to become one of the game’s brightest young stars. Durk would honor the late rapper in a number of ways. One example came on the album cover for his late 2020 album The Voice which featured a picture of him and Von together.

DThang’s death occurred during what was supposed to be a celebratory weekend for Durk. The rapper and Lil Baby are just days removed from sharing their highly-anticipated joint album, Voice Of The Heroes, which presented features from Travis Scott, Young Thug, Meek Mill, and Rod Wave.

Lil Durk & Lil Baby’s “The Voice Of The Heroes” First-Week Sales Projections Are In

Lil Baby and Lil Durk did not disappoint with the release of their new collaborative project, The Voice Of The Heroes. The ATL giant and the influential Chicago rapper have been teasing the project for the past few months following their own individual success. Both rappers have dominated the charts with #1 singles and albums to their names. So, it comes as no surprise that their collective popularity will surely earn them another #1 album on the charts.

According to HitsDailyDouble, Lil Baby and Lil Durk are on pace to move nearly 200K units in their first week with the release of The Voice Of The Heroes. The two rappers are set to debut at the top of the Billboard 200. The duo is on pace to move anywhere between 165K-185K with an estimated 200m audio streams within its first week. That’s an impressive number for any artist, really.

Surprisingly, this will mark Lil Durk’s first chart-topping album on the Billboard 200. Although Lil Baby scored the #1 spot with My Turn, Durk’s latest solo opus, The Voice maintained a steady spot at #2 on the chart, even with the release of the deluxe edition.

It seems like the two rappers are popping out with this album at the perfect time. While they didn’t get to tour off of their solo projects due to the pandemic, The Voice Of The Heroes opens up a unique opportunity for a co-headlining tour.

Joel Embiid Cleared To Play Ahead Of Game 1 Vs. Hawks

After suffering a meniscus tear in his right knee during the first round of the playoffs, there was a concern that Joel Embiid wouldn’t be good to go for the start of the 76ers’ second-round series against the Atlanta Hawks. Embiid played like an MVP candidate this season and whenever he is on the court, he has the chance to be a huge threat. He’s playing the best basketball of his life, and it would have been devastating to his team if he couldn’t make it to the court for Game 1.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Embiid and the 76ers received some incredible news today as Embiid was officially cleared to play in Game 1, which starts in just a few minutes from the time of writing this.

The Hawks are a team brimming with confidence right now thanks to a five-game series against the New York Knicks. While they might be heavy underdogs, the Hawks are ready to give the 76ers a tough test, and with Embiid in the lineup, that test is about to get a lot harder.

Lil Baby & Lil Durk’s ‘The Voice Of The Heroes’ Receives A J. Cole Co-Sign

Lil Baby and Lil Durk began teasing a joint tape to fans back in February of this year. While it was suspected to simply be social media banter at first, they eventually later confirmed the project would definitely be arriving at some point this year. Initially planning for an earlier release, Swizz Beatz claimed that the duo delayed its release in order to not drop on the same day as DMX’s Exodus

The Voice of the Heroes finally arrived on Friday (June 4), loaded with some bangers that’ll definitely turn into the songs of the summer. Meek Mill, Young Thug, Rod Wave, and Travis Scott appeared as guests on the project, while the rest of the tape was handled by the Dream Team. J. Cole recently gave the project his stamp of approval with an honest co-sign on Instagram.

Sharing the illustrated album cover to his story, the The Off-Season artist simply tagged Durk and Baby while adding a customary heavy-breathing emoji, which has come to synonymously mean ‘applying pressure.’

J. Cole and Lil Baby united for a track on his recently released sixth studio album, likely the reason why he took time to co-sign his collaborator’s new release. The duo recently struck gold with their song “Pride Is The Devil,” earning them an RIAA certification.

A stamp of approval from one of the most respected artists in the game is nothing short of a big deal. What did you guys think of The Voice of the Heroes? Let us know down below.

Nigeria Announces Twitter Moratorium After Suspending President’s Account

The Nigerian Government indefinitely suspended Twitter and bans its citizens from using the platform until the suspension is called off. Talks of the government-imposed moratorium were ignited when Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, had his account suspended. Buhari’s account got suspended after he cryptically suggested that Nigerian separatists should face punishment for destructing federal property while referencing the Nigerian Civil War that occurred between 1967 through 1970.

On June 1st, Buhari tweeted, “Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.” Buhari faced backlash for inciting violence through his use of social media. Soon after he tweeted, Twitter froze his account for violating the outlet’s “abusive behavior” policy.

Not too long after the suspension of the Nigerian President’s Twitter account, the Nigerian Government announced that they are suspending Twitter privileges for its entire nation. Lai Mohammed, Nigeria’s Ministry of Information and Culture, released a statement following the government’s revelation. Mohammed stated during a press release from the Nigerian capital, “the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.”

Twitter has since released a statement in response to Nigeria’s moratorium. “The announcement made by the Nigerian Government that they have suspended Twitter’s operations in Nigeria is deeply concerning,” the platform stated. Nigeria’s restrictions regarding Twitter have not started yet, and it’s unclear of when the nation’s suspension will go into effect.

J. Cole & Lil Baby Score Gold With “Pride Is The Devil”

Lil Baby is indisputably at the forefront of the rap game right now. After such a massively successful year and a half that included two Grammy nominations and a slew of hit songs, it’s no wonder why many of rap’s established heavy-weights have been eager to work with the Atlanta trap star

J. Cole recently unleashed his highly-anticipated project The Off-Season, earning him his sixth consecutive No. 1 album. While many thought he was going to be largely solo on the project, it included uncredited appearances from the “Bigger Picture” artist, 21 Savage, Bas, and 6lack. He and Baby have recently struck gold with their “Pride Is The Devil” collaboration.

According to chart data aggregate source chart data, the collab between the Dreamville and 4PF members has officially surpassed the 500,000 units sold threshold. “[J. The song’s RIAA certification does not come entirely as a surprise, either. Upon The Off-Season‘s release, Cole earned the largest streaming week of 2021, accumulating over 325.5 million streams in its first week. According to chart revenue sources, the Grammy-winner also collectively earned close to $2 million in revenue from all the song’s on the project in its first week

“My Life,” “Amari,” “Pride is the Devil” and “95 South” had revenues of $214k, $193k, $185k, and $180k respectively, while “Applying Pressure,” “100 Mil’,” “Interlude,” “Let Go My Hand,” “Punchin’ the Clock,” and “The Climb Back” each earned the adored artist over $100k.

“Hunger on Hillside” and “Close” each raked in over $90k for Cole. Congrats to Baby and Cole on scoring Gold!

Lil Durk’s Brother OTF DThang Fatally Shot Outside Of Chicago Club: Report

Lil Durk’s older brother, OTF DThang, has reportedly passed away after a shooting outside of a Chicago club. The news was initially reported by ChicagoMediaTakeOut who reported that someone was shot at Club O before identifying DThang as the victim. So far, there’s been little information regarding the shooting made available to the public.

Several people affiliated with Lil Durk and OTF offered their condolences. Calboy was among the first to publicly offer his condolences on Twitter, writing, “R.I.P. Dthang it was always love when ya saw me.” Murda Beatz wrote, “R.I.P. DThang,” along with prayer hands and a blue heart emoji.

Prominent Chicago producer DJ L Beats, who produced for Polo G, G Herbo, and Lil Durk, paid his respects on his Instagram Story. L Beats reflected on DThang’s early support that earned him his first beat placement with Lil Durk. “You advocated for me and my sound when most didn’t and along with Leski positioned me to get my first and second album multi-placement credits with Durk,” he wrote.

“In this industry, you have few people who embrace young artist, producers, writers etc. and give them an equal shot with their camp but you were one of those rare men who did. I always appreciated your support and the power studio convos king.”

DThang was recently spotted alongside Lil Durk at Pierre “Pee” Thomas’ extravagant birthday bash this week.

We’ve reached out to a rep for Lil Durk who did not have an official comment available at the time of publishing.

Julio Jones Traded To The Tennessee Titans: Details

Just a few weeks ago, Julio Jones told Shannon Sharpe live on the air that he wanted out of Atlanta and was hoping to be traded in the offseason. Jones is one of the fastest and most explosive wide receivers in the entire league, so it should come as no surprise that almost every single team was trying to trade for him.

Well, on Sunday morning, it was reported by Ian Rapaport of the NFL Network, and Adam Schefter of ESPN, that Jones would be going to the Tennessee Titans. While the trade has not yet been finalized, the Titans plan to give the Falcons a second-round and a fifth-round pick. The fifth-round pick could be replaced with something else, although for now, the seeds of the trade have been planted.

Jones will now be joining a team that already boasts Derrick Henry, Ryan Tannehill, and AJ Brown. This immediately makes the Titans one of the most explosive offenses in the entire league, and it will be very interesting to see how teams deal with them every single weekend.

Dancer Allegedly Catches Fire At Diddy’s Party In Atlanta

Sean “Diddy” Combs hosted a star-studded birthday bash for Quality Control’s CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre on Wednesday (June 2) night. The colossal event was attended by Lil Durk, Lil Baby, City Girls, Jayda Cheaves, and more, the latter of which began trending on Twitter for their stunning looks for the bash.

Yung Miami of City Girls fame particularly sparked buzz after she and Diddy posed for a photo holding hands. According to sources at the massive function, the party turned serious for a second after a dancer caught on fire. Page Six reports that according to a source, a dancer at the event got too close to a candle and was ignited.

“There were dancers on tables wearing feathered skirts, and one dropped down to get her eagle on and caught on fire from a candle!” explained the source. “Nothing was left but her string thong. She was panicking and quickly extinguished,” the source added, noting her highly flammable costume was completely destroyed.

The source finished, “I was trying to get video, but I couldn’t act quick enough, that’s how quickly it was put out. I just got the smoke after.”

Luckily for the dancer and the party’s attendees, the situation was quickly resolved. According to other guests at the luxurious affair, they were greeted by a live tiger in a cage when they entered the Fox Theatre. Additionally, despite holding hands with Yung Miami in a viral photo, the rap mogul allegedly arrived with a mystery woman with who he danced throughout the night.

On the mic, he described Pee as “one of the realest [people]” he’s ever met in Atlanta. “I’m proud of him. What he’s been able to do. What he’s been able to accomplish. What he stands for,” he said. The City Girls also performed for guest attendees.
