Pi’erre Bourne & Lil Uzi Vert Reunite On “Sossboy 2”

Pi’erre Bourne’s latest solo album, The Life of Pi’erre 5, is set to arrive this Friday (June 11). Best known for helping curate the sound of rappers like Playboi Carti and Yung Nudy, the multi-hyphenate has previously released the singles “4U” and “Groceries” from the upcoming LP.

“Sossboy 2 last single before album, featuring Uzi Drops Wednesday. Full album Friday. And documentary Friday as well. There,” tweeted Pi’erre to fans on Sunday ahead of its release. On the track, Uzi and Pi’erre skate over a colorful trap beat in line with the original production style Bourne become known for. Pi’erre’s original “Sossboy,” which was shared last summer, is much more emotional and melodic than its follow-up.

Uzi and Bourne have previously collaborated on Eternal Atake’s deluxe edition, producing four of the album’s tracks. Uzi has recently distanced himself from the effort, however, suggesting he believes it was “dumbed down” and should have performed better commercially. As for the diamond-headed rapper, he’s said to be working on a SoundCloud-exclusive project.

Check out “Sossboy 2” and let us know how you feel about it down below.

Conway Celebrates Kanye West’s Birthday With Epic Group Pic

Conway The Machine has emerged as one of the most connected emcees in the game, having ascended from a grinding Buffalo lyricist to a respected equal to some of the game’s legendary artists. That includes Kanye West, who previously invited Conway and Westside Gunn to Wyoming to collaborate.

Evidently, they forged a bond on both a creative and personal level, to the point where Conway took to Instagram to celebrate Ye’s birthday yesterday. “Happy born day to my brother Ye!” captions The Machine, alongside an epic picture of himself, Gunn, Kanye West, and Havoc, presumably taken prior to the release of From King To A God.

After the release of From King To A God in September of 2020, we spoke with The Machine and his connection to both Kanye West and Havoc came up. “I met Havoc when I was out in Wyoming working on some music with Kanye,” he explained. “I was out here for a couple of days, and we exchanged numbers and were around each other for a couple of days, just there to kick it. It was dope, working with Kanye. Just vibing, listening to music. I just appreciated being around him. We pray, we talk, we create. It’s just a good vibe, a good feeling.”

It’s likely that the picture was taken from those sessions. While we have yet to hear any of that music manifesting, rumblings of a new Kanye West album have been picking up steam lately. Perhaps we’ll see Conway, Gunn, Havoc, and Kanye come together on wax, a combination that would certainly make for an interesting result. Check out the picture below, and show some belated love to Yeezy in the comments.

Chicago Singer Ann Marie Returns To IG After Shooting Arrest

Chicago-based R&B singer Ann Marie (not to be confused with English singer Anne-Marie) is officially back after serving some time for allegedly shooting her boyfriend in the head. The 25-year-old artist was released from jail at the end of last year but it appears as though she wasn’t allowed to update her social media since then– alternatively, she may have just been taking a step away from the limelight before getting back into the thick of it.

On Tuesday, the “Secret” artist made her first post in months, sharing a Fashion Nova-sponsored picture on Instagram and announcing her return. “Back At It!!” she wrote as her caption. Excited fans were quick to send their love to Ann Marie, telling her that they’re excited to hear her new music whenever she’s ready.

Ann Marie was reportedly arrested in December 2020 when a gun allegedly fell off a table in her hotel room, shooting a man in the head. The victim did not die, but he did sustain life-altering injuries, according to reports. The 911 call was released just a day after her arrest, in which she was screaming for somebody to help her “best friend” over the phone.

Are you excited about Ann Marie’s return to music? Let us know what you’re expecting from the star in the comments.

Thanks to Boosie Badazz’s latest sit-down with DJ Vlad, the Hip-Hop community has been getting plenty of Boosie hot takes over the past couple of weeks. GoldLink Announces New Album With Single “White Walls”

GoldLink has come through to deliver his new single “White Walls,” which arrives complete with some trippy visuals and a hard-hitting beat by Rio. It’s certainly an interesting direction for the Washington artist, who slides over the urgent synthesizers with frantic energy.

“My hotel bigger than your house, rode to the bounce, sell ’em by the ounce,” he raps, his voice tinged in slight overdrive. “I don’t do that, sell by the pound / Sex with me, go four rounds.” GoldLink opts to take a laid-back approach insofar as the song’s structure is concerned, though that’s no to say he’s resting on his laurels. Case in point, a dagger aimed firmly at Sheck Wes and tossed with serious intent.

Though Link only delivers a single verse, it’s evident that he’s in an interesting place creatively. Overall, “White Walls” feels closer to a warm-up for things to come, and one has to wonder if he’ll be exploring this sound further on his upcoming album Haram, which is set to land on June 18th. Check out the tracklist for that below, and be sure to sound off with your comments if you’re excited for new GoldLink.

Paul George Roasted With “Pandemic P” Jokes After Clippers Loss

The Los Angeles Clippers bounced back to win their first-round matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, and even some of biggest social media targets on the team had people raving about how well they played. Most notably, it looked like Paul George was turning a new leaf, playing to his superstar potential. Fans even started joking that his disrespectful “Pandemic P” nickname, which trolls gave him during last year’s playoffs, had been passed on to Kristaps Porzingis. One game into the Clippers’ second-round series against the Utah Jazz and he’s officially earned the moniker again.

Immediately following last night’s Game 1 loss to the Jazz, “Pandemic P” began trending on social media with sports commentators and fans making fun of the 31-year-old hoops star. Finishing the game with 20 points and 10 rebounds on 4-17 shooting, PG13’s stats weren’t that bad. He could have shot more consistently but with a double-double, he still had a decent game. Skip Bayless and others took the time to challenge George to be better though, coming through with jokes as the Clippers look to come back in the next game.

“Right on schedule: Paul George turns into George Paul, Pandemic P, shrinking in the Round 2 spotlight,” wrote Bayless on Twitter.

Do you think Paul George will bounce back for a monster game in Game 2? Or do you think the Utah Jazz has this series in the bag? Check out some of the most popular “Pandemic P” memes below.
