Travis Scott Releases 100 Signed CACTI Cans That Grant Access To Astroworld Festival

In honor of Travis Scott’s birthday in April, the Jackboys artist announced the long-awaited return of the Astroworld Festival. Travis Scott’s third annual music festival has expanded to a two-day format, and it will hit Houston on November 5 and 6. Unfortunately, countless Cactus Jack fans won’t be able to pull up to Astroworld Festival because when tickets went on sale on May 5, tickets to the two-day festival were sold out in minutes.

However, nearly two months later, there may be hope for some persistent Travis Scott fans after all. On Wednesday, it was announced that Travis Scott has decided to channel his inner Willy Wonka and release 100 signed cans of CACTI that unlock free tickets to Astroworld.

Similar to how thousands of candy-obsessed children did in the classic movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, disgruntled Travis Scott fans who were unable to secure their Astroworld Festival tickets last month will be able to hunt for specially wrapped and signed cans of strawberry-flavored CACTI that are hidden in the typical nine-count variety packs.

“Summer is back and all about going bigger,” Travis Scott says in a statement. “We really wanted to do something special with CACTI for the fans who weren’t able to get their hands on Astroworld tickets. The winners are going to get the opportunity to vibe out with us at the festival and get a full-on immersive experience. We can’t wait to share this with them and everything else CACTI has planned for the rest of the year.”

Fans who are able to track down one of the 100 signed CACTI cans will be rewarded with two tickets to the sold-out Astroworld Festival, so good luck to everyone on the hunt for those exclusive cans.

The Game Reps His G-Unit Roots On “72 Bar Assassin”

DJ Kay Slay is gearing up to deliver his upcoming album Accolades on Friday, and the Drama King has come through to share a new offering from the project. “72 Bar Assassin” features none other than The Game, who is no stranger to firing off extended salvos of lyricism, though this one runs significantly shorter than some of its predecessors.

That’s not to say Game doesn’t come out swinging, however. Taking to the cold and hard-hitting production with a vengeance, Game lives up to expectation in a few ways: for one, he’s rapping at an elite tier, and two, the namedrops arrive in spades. “King of New York, King of L.A, and I don’t give a fuck what Diddy say, my semi spray,” he raps. And later: “my n***as air out the club then we Damon Dash, in the same PT Cruiser that n***a Stunna had / puffin’ on a blunt of gas, just to talk about a Verzuz with 50 tell Swizzy I need a hundred cash.”

In an interesting turn, Game actually represents his G-Unit roots, praising Lloyd Banks’ recent album The Course Of The Inevitable and noting that “it’s still the Unit as long as I can still move em’.” There’s certainly lots to unpack on “72 Bar Assassin,” so be sure to dive into Game’s latest right here.

Pop Smoke New Album Release Date Announced

The second posthumous album from Brooklyn rap superstar Pop Smoke has officially been announced. The upcoming project, of which the title has not been revealed yet, will be released next month on July 16. The late rapper’s team broke the news with an album trailer on YouTube.

The trailer features footage of the rapper during interviews, as well as candid videos of him hanging around New York. “I feel like it’s coming back to New York,” he said about the booming hip-hop scene on the East Coast. “The fake can never succeed in nothing. When you know what you want, don’t let nobody get in between you and your creation.”

The new album has been teased for weeks by Pop’s manager Rico Beats. 50 Cent, who executive produced Pop’s first posthumous album Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon, recently said that he isn’t sure he will be involved in the creation of the next album

During the press run for Culture III, Quavo also said that he was working with Pop Smoke on a collaborative album before the superstar passed away. It’s unclear if any of their collaborations will be included on the new album on July 16.

Are you excited about another posthumous album from Pop Smoke? What do you expect this time around?

MoneyBagg Yo Accepts NLE Choppa’s Challenge

Memphis rapper MoneyBagg Yo really loves his codeine. The “Wockesha” artist has an entire hit song about his love for lean, disguising his lyrics cleverly and singing about a purple-haired lady who keeps him feeling nice at all times of the day. So when NLE Choppa came forward and challenged the rapper to quit drinking lean by matching every bottle he drinks with a pint of chlorophyll, many believed that MoneyBagg Yo would laugh in Choppa’s face. However, his response was quite the contrary.

Seemingly accepting the challenge and preparing to lead a healthier lifestyle, MoneyBagg Yo responded to NLE Choppa’s tweet with a handshake emoji. From the looks of it, he’s open to receiving some hand-delivered health and wellness recipes from the rapper to help change his life. Maybe on the next album, we’ll get a record entirely about Bagg’s love of chlorophyll.

NLE Choppa has been changing his life for the better over the last few years. Despite him breaking onto the scene with violent raps, he swore away from that type of content and promised to empower his audience by leading them to the light. He proceeded to launch a new website where he sells items that contain serious health benefits, like chlorophyll, to help his fans live longer and more fulfilled lives.

He wants to help rappers quit drinking lean and it looks like he’s starting with MoneyBagg Yo. We’ll keep you posted on his progress as he uploads updates.

Trick Daddy Shades The Beyhive, Says The Barbz Are A Better Fanbase

Earlier this week, Trick Daddy may have started something that he can’t finish when leaked audio from a Clubhouse panel featured him sharing some extremely hot takes about two of the biggest stars in the music industry: Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

While on Clubhouse, Trick Daddy stepped into the hot seat and shared a couple of incredibly unpopular opinions, saying, “Beyoncé don’t write music and barely can sing her motherf*ckin’ self. Man, I watched my godmama train Beyoncé, vocal lessons all her career.”

“Beyoncé is to R&B what Jay-Z is to New York,” Trick Daddy continued. “That’s why they together. Jay-Z ain’t never won the greatest rapper alive. Who ever put him on a level like that? New York lost Biggie, and they needed a hero. They wanted to be the Mecca of Hip-Hop, and they just handed it over to Jay-Z.”

Despite the backlash that he has been receiving for his comments, Trick has stood by his initial comments on Clubhouse, and during his 99Jamz morning radio show with Trina, he went on to further explained his position, saying, “That’s my opinion. I’ve said many times on the radio that they’re wonderful businesspeople. Jigga made a lot of money, he got a whole lotta money. But did I say anything disrespectful? No. Did I call them out they names? No, I didn’t.”

Now, the legendary Florida rapper is back with another Beyoncé-related hot take. In a recent post to his Instagram Story, Trick Daddy shared a shady message that simply read, “BARBZ >.” While he doesn’t call out The Beyhive, Beyoncé’s infamous fan base, directly, one can assume that he’s comparing Yoncé’s die-hard fan base to Nicki Minaj’s passionate followers because as of late, the Beyhive has been leaving extremely negative reviews at Trick Daddy’s restaurant.

Check out the “Nann N*gga” rapper’s quickly posted and deleted Instagram story below.

What do you think about Trick Daddy’s latest antics? Does he have a point about Nicki Minaj’s fanbase being better than Beyoncé’s or is he dragging the situation at this point?

Paul George Slandered After Missing Two Clutch Free Throws

NBA Twitter was finally starting to turn around on Los Angeles Clippers superstar Paul George after years of cyberbullying, making fun of his inconsistency on the court by calling him “Pandemic P”. The nickname is not as flattering as one may think. Just about everyone that uses it has something bad to say about PG13 and his on-court skills. Whether they’re making fun of him passing the ball to a referee or missing two important free throws in a must-win game, the people have seriously turned on Paul George.

After last night’s loss against the Phoenix Suns in their Western Conference Finals matchup, Clippers fans (and haters) trended “Pandemic P” once again, which has become a pretty familiar sight during the playoffs. This time, it was because Paul George had a chance to tie up the game and potentially send his team to overtime against the Suns. However, instead of sinking two clutch free throws to be his team’s hero, he missed both and became the butt of another joke.

As basketball fans continue to make fun of Paul George for his missed shots at the end of last night’s game, the baller has remained silent on social media, not updating his pages since April.

Check out some of the most disrespectful “Pandemic P” memes below and let us know if you think people are being too hard on PG13.

Mick Jenkins Absolutely Snaps On “Truffles”

When it comes time for the best bars conversation, it’s time for Mick Jenkins to become a mainstay — if he hasn’t already established as much. The Chicago lyricist is easily one of the slickest emcees in the game, consistently penning elevated material dense with meaning and sneaky wordplay. Following the release of The Circus in early 2020, fans have been eager to see what Mick has been working on, and late last night, he set the stage with a new single called “Truffles.”

Over a smoldering and buoyant instrumental from Renzell and Monte Booker, Jenkins steps back and observes his surroundings from afar, his commentary as incisive as ever. “Young ni*ga makin’ double that money you’re taxed on and shippin’ the principal,” he spits, at the top of his second verse. “I need patience ’cause I know that I’m gon’ get the whole thing, gotta get it in intervals / Got the bases loaded, I’m tryna make it a Soul Train line / Right at the home plate, then I talk shit in the interview.”

Check out “Truffles” now, and be sure to keep an eye out for whatever Mick Jenkins has been cooking up. Based on this latest drop, he’s certainly got a few things to get off his chest.

Then I put back on my Dolce scarf, say too much and they’ll finish you

50 Cent Reacts To Blogger Alleging Young Buck “Came Out” Of The Closet

For years, 50 Cent has been harassing his former G-Unit bandmate Young Buck for allegedly having relationships with transgender women. Buck has spoken about the rumors of him being attracted to trans women, chalking it up to being catfished, but the humiliation has ensued for far too long.

Last week, Young Buck was reportedly in court for a case against his ex-girlfriend regarding a shooting incident. Blogger Tasha K, who has had problems in the past with Cardi B, reported on the case with the headline, “Young Buck COMES OUT of The Closet.” During her three-minute video, she never actually spoke about Buck coming out of the closet as she suggested — instead, she spoke about how his ex alleges he’s been sleeping with gay men and trans women during their relationship, which is what sparked a domestic incident between them.

As you would expect after years of coming after his former friend with homophobic and transphobic remarks, 50 Cent had something to say about the latest wrinkle in this story, reposting Tasha K’s video and adding his commentary.

“SMH why he didn’t just say he was gay,” said Fif. “There is nothing wrong with it Buck. But you can’t be putting your hands on no women because she keep catching you.”

Young Buck hasn’t actually “come out” of the closet. He has yet to make any recent public statements about his sexuality. However, for all this to be happening during Pride Month is a little unsettling.
