Trae Tha Truth Grabs Big Pokey & Lil Keke For “I’m Still Dine”

Trae Tha Truth released 48 Hours After this weekend, marking the occasion on June 27. The date is a celebration of DJ Screw and his infamous crew. Trae, a Houston veteran, holds it down on the album. However, the outro really sticks out on the album. Entitled “I’m Still Dine,” the outro features Lil Keke and Big Pokey. The three rappers lay down deep and emotional verses about those they have lost.

The instrumental is made from mystical and reminiscent synths that are designed to keep you in your emotions. Each verse really highlights each rapper’s struggles and their journey. “I’m Still Dine” may be the best song on this album. Make sure to check it out, and bump Trae Tha Truth’s entire new project 48 Hours After.

Drake Flames Justin LaBoy’s Iced-Out “Respectfully” Chain

Invoking Drake’s name in anything is bound to illicit a few reactions, even if it isn’t true. Last week, Justin Laboy, whose interview series Respectfully has produced a few viral moments so far, and it seems that his show on REVOLT keeps getting bigger and better. Unfortunately, he attempted to fool fans into thinking Drake would be appearing on his show. It didn’t take long for Drake to dispel the rumors, calling cap on LaBoy’s comments.

It seems like that particular incident may have rubbed Drake the wrong way, and he’s allowed the Petty King to flourish. Justin LaBoy was on the ‘Gram where he revealed his latest piece of jewelry — an iced-out Respectfully chain in pink. “My custom chain finally done!! I love how it came out. Thanks to my bro @cal_thejeweler the best BLACK JEWELER out there & @essexfinejewelry for making the creative process enjoyable and getting the chain & piece made within 5 days… #Respectfully,” he captioned the post.

Drake, who dons a few pieces of impressive jewelry himself, took a shot at LaBoy’s new chain with a reference to Young Money’s First Lady. “Oh you def a Barb sis,” Drake wrote along with a laughing emoji, a diamond emoji, and a nail polish emoji. “Shining tho,” he added.

Justin LaBoy swiftly responded to Drake, telling him to “GO TO HELL.”

Juicy J & Kaash Paige Are “All The Time High” On New Collab

Juicy J released his fifth studio album The Hustle Continues at the tail end of last year. The 16-track project was preceded by two singles “Gah Damn High” and “Load It Up,” while the standard version of the project featured appearances from the likes of 2 Chainz, Megan thee Stallion, NLE Choppa, Conway the Machine, A$AP Rocky, and more. Well on Friday (June 25), Juicy decided to return to the scene and release the deluxe version of the album The Hustle Still Continues adding 9 more new songs to it, including this track right here called “All The Time High” featuring Kaash Paige.

Speaking about the sound of the project, the Memphis rapper explained “I produced it myself. On a lot of my other albums, I’ll just produce a track here and there, but this album is 100 percent produced by me. I got a couple of producers, you know, here and there. But it’s 98 percent me at the end of the day — I took it back to the old Three 6 Mafia sound with the new-new.”

Take a listen to the new collab and let us know what you think.

Trae Tha Truth Comes Through With “48 Hours After”

Houston is in the building! Trae the Truth is back to rep his city on 48 Hours After. This album serves as the follow-up to Trae’s Exhale album from two years ago. The 14-track album features guest appearances from Baby Houston, Jared, Big Pokey, and Lil’ Keke.

Back in 2018, Trae dropped off 48 Hours Laterand it’s good to see him breathing new life into the series. The new album contains a mix of trap bangers and introspective thug motivators. The timing couldn’t have been better either. 48 Hours After arrives just in time for Houston’s annual celebration of DJ Screw on June 27. The holiday doesn’t signal Screw’s birthday but instead signifies the day the Screwed Up Click recorded the infamous June 27 freestyle.

Conway The Machine Joins Evidence On “Moving On Up”

Evidence touched down with Unlearning Vol. 1 on Friday. The album has quite a few gems, but “Moving On Up” featuring Conway the Machine stands out. The beat is comprised of funky piano keys and boom-bap drums. An excited guitar drops in for a few erratic moments timed perfectly with the childish yet haunting pianos. A Kanye West vocal sample is thrown into the hook giving the beat a little more spice. It’s truly a great beat.

Evidence and Conway’s flow fit perfectly between the patient percussions. Both rappers opt to spit slow and clear bars, taking their time to articulate every word. There’s just something about the vibe on this one that has me running “Moving On Up” on repeat.

Ty Lue Says LA Clippers Erasing 3-1 Deficit Is “Very Doable”

The Los Angeles Clippers are currently down 3-1 in their series against the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals, but yet they’ve somehow managed to outscore them throughout the series 403-400. Every single game has been very close, and Clippers head coach Ty Lue believes this team can still come back to win it.

“Just got to take it one game at a time,” Ty Lue said after last night’s loss. “Just focus on Monday’s game, that’s it. Not focus on winning three games. Got to take it one game at a time, and that’s got to be our mindset. We beat Utah and won four games in a row. So it’s very doable. We’ve just got to make sure we’re locked in and understand what we’re doing offensively. I think we’ve got to be more locked in offensively to beat this team.”

Despite facing the 3-1 hole, Clippers star Paul George has also taken on Ty’s mentality heading into their do-or-die Game 5. “We’re definitely hopeful. Definitely positive. I mean, this series could be very different with a handful of plays that we could take back and different outcome on some of these plays. Tonight was a tough one. We had an opportunity to take the lead for a couple possessions. We just had a hard time putting the basket in the hole. That’s honestly the game. We played great defense. Just had a hard time scoring tonight.”

Look for game 5 to go down Monday in Phoenix at 9PM EST. Who you got winning?

Evidence Drops Off “Unlearning Vol. 1” Featuring Conway the Machine, Bold James, & More

Evidence is back. He blessed fans with Unlearning Vol. 1 this past week. The project features verses from Conway The Machine, Boldy James, Fly Anakin, Navy Blue, and Murkage Dave. Production comes from Evidence, The Alchemist, EARDRUM, and various others.

The project has a real funky vibe to it, mixing old school with new school. The fresh sound gives Evidence’s sound a nice pop that gives the whole project life. “It’s my re-introduction weirdly,” Evidence said of the album. “I feel like it’s my demo. I got to strip it back; it’s not unlike what happens at the beginning of a career, when someone starts out, you know, not recording in the big studios. They graduate, and they make bigger things. I kept that mentality for this … there’s a lot of big steps for me, but they’re more in the details. It’s not like I’m just making some whole new sound of music. It’s just different choices that I made.”

Marilyn Manson Expected To Surrender To LAPD On Assault Charges: Report

Marilyn Manson is expected to turn himself for outstanding warrants, the LAPD said. The musician is facing two counts of Class A Misdemeanor Simple Assault that are the result of incidents that happened in Gilford, New Hampshire. The warrants were initially drafted by the Gilford Police Department in New Hampshire, but have been transferred to Los Angeles. These alleged assaults are just one of many that Manson is being accused of.

The initial incident that involves the allegations surrounding Marilyn Manson took place on August 18th, 2019. Manson was performing at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavillion when the attacks allegedly took place. According to accounts from local law enforcement, a videographer who was working at the concert claims that they were spat on during a segment of the concert where Manson incited a mosh pit.

While speaking with USA Today, Manson’s lawyer, Howard King, says that Manson and his team have known about the warrants for a while.”It is no secret to anyone who has attended a Marilyn Manson concert that he likes to be provocative on stage, especially in front of a camera,” King declared. “This misdemeanor claim was pursued after we received a demand from a venue videographer for more than $35,000 after a small amount of spit came into contact with their arm. After we asked for evidence of any alleged damages, we never received a reply.”

Though Marilyn Manson is expected to turn himself in, his court date will be arranged by the Gilford Police Department in New Hampshire. The Gilford Chief of Police, Tony Burpee, has also spoken with USA Today. “If Mr. Warner turns himself in within the next few weeks, his initial appearance/arraignment will likely be scheduled for mid-August,” Burpee stated to the publication.

The embattled musician continues to face the law as more allegations pile up against him. Not only does Manson have the physical assault charges from New Hampshire, but he’s also been accused of sexual assault, as well. Earlier this year, actresses Evan Rachel Wood and Esme Bianco have accused him of sexual assault. His other reported victims include his former assistant, Ashley Walters, and famed adult film actress Jenna Jameson.

Alex Smith Predicts Dak Prescott Will Have A “Huge” Comeback Season Following Injury

Alex Smith came back from one of the worst injuries that have ever been witnessed in sports. Smith underwent rehabilitation of tibia and fibula fractures that were further complicated by an aggressive infection. He could have died. But Smith made his way back into the starting lineup last year before retiring in the off-season. Now, the veteran quarterback is placing his bets on Dak Prescott

“Dak is, I think, one of the most unique athletes in the NFL – and I really think that from like a freakish perspective,” Smith told USA Today. “He is such a strong, powerful, such a good athlete. So I really expect him to come back and be rolling. Then you add that on to his fortitude and mental perspective? I think he’s going to have a huge, huge year.” Dak claims that he’s over the injury and ready to keep it rolling.

“People think about the physical part, him doing his rehab,” stated Smith. “Is he going to be as fast, as strong, as agile? So much of that when you step on the field at that level is confidence, right? I think you do, in the process, have to break down those walls that you’ve built up through your injury. I think it’s important to do that before you step on the field. So it is good to hear him say that.”

Doja Cat Connects With Eve For “Tonight” Off Of “Planet Her (Deluxe)”

While Doja Cat holds a prestigious place among pop music’s elite, she does have bars. The L.A. singer has been known to drop a few 16s that have won over hip-hop heads over her tenure in the game. On Friday, she slid through with her third studio album, Planet Her, immersing her fans into the intergalactic world she created over the course of 14 songs. However, she hasn’t stopped dishing out music yet. At the wee hours of Sunday morning, she returned with the deluxe edition of the project that boasts an additional five tracks.

Eve makes an appearance on the deluxe edition on “Tonight.” The nylon-string guitar progression leads the track while Doja Cat and Eve detail flings from the perspective of the mistress.

The collaboration with Eve was first teased during Doja Cat’s interview on YouTube Released. Fans may have been disappointed that it didn’t appear on the original release but Doja Cat kept her word that it would appear on Planet Her.
