John Legend Addresses The Apparently Fabricated DMs Of Chrissy Teigen’s Supposed Bullying

A lot of attention is focused on Chrissy Teigen these days in light of her recent apology for old tweets and inappropriate direct messages. Now it appears another supposed victim of Teigen’s bullying has been outed as a faker.

Designer Michael Costello recently shared supposed screenshots of a 2014 conversation in which Teigen treated him aggressively, but Business Insider notes that there are multiple inconsistencies in the images as it relates to Twitter’s visual formatting. So, it would seem that Costello’s screenshots were fabricated.

This got a response from John Legend, who wrote in a series of tweets today, “Chrissy apologized for her public tweets, but after her apology, Mr Costello fabricated a DM exchange between them. This exchange was made up, completely fake, never happened. […] Honestly I don’t know why anyone would fake DMs to insert themselves in this narrative, but that’s what happened. I encourage everyone who breathlessly spread this lie to keep that same energy when they correct the record.”

This comes after Legend showed support for Teigen by sharing a line from her apology letter: “We are all more than our worst moments.” That quote kicks off the conclusion of Teigen’s message, which goes on to read, “I won’t ask for your forgiveness, only your patience and tolerance. I ask that you allow me, as I promise to allow you, to own past mistakes and be given the opportunity to seek self improvement and change. Phew. A lot, I know. Thanks for listening.”

Kylie Jenner On Where She Stands With Tyga: “We’re Not Friends”

When rapper Tyga started hanging around Kylie Jenner and the rest of the Kardashian family, the outside world found it all pretty strange. When they first went public with their romantic relationship, Tyga was 25-years-old and Kylie was 17-years-old. No matter how mature she was for her age, she was still a teenager. Rightfully, people were pretty enraged about their relationship.

Fast-forward to today and they’re no longer together. Kylie is in a co-parenting relationship with rapper Travis Scott, with whom she is currently in an open relationship. Travis never made any major appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the show that brought Kylie to billionaire status, but Tyga sure was. On the reunion episode with Andy Cohen following the series’ end, Kylie was asked about her relationship with Tyga, answering that she’s no longer close with the rapper.

“We’re not friends, but we are okay,” said Kylie about Tyga. “If I see him out or run into him anywhere, I always wish him well. I have no bad feelings toward him.”

She was also asked why Travis Scott wasn’t featured on the show, to which she answered that there were times he requested not to be filmed. One major storyline that was skipped in real-time was Kylie’s pregnancy, which never made it to air. The socialite kept her pregnancy a secret from the world, revealing that she stayed home for much of it, never leaving the house because paparazzi were outside in helicopters, capturing her every move.

Kanye West’s “New Slaves” Hits Different Eight Years Later

Eight years ago today, we were blessed with a historic release day in hip-hop. Kanye West released his experimental Yeezus. J. Cole dropped his sophomore studio album Born Sinner. And Mac Miller came through with his album Watching Movies with the Sound Off. All three bodies of work went on to become defining moments for each respective artist. The top-performing album of the bunch was Yeezus with fans flocking to the strangely-curated, yet somehow beautiful album by one of the all-time greats.

As we celebrate the anniversary of all three of these amazing pieces of work, we’re shining a spotlight on “New Slaves,” which still hits ridiculously hard eight years later. Always ahead of his time, Kanye’s “New Slaves” sounds like it could have been a recent experimental record, so it’s wild to think that he made this almost a decade ago. With Juneteenth right around the corner too, fans are pointing out Kanye’s lyrics on Twitter, trending the title of the song as they remember what a time it was to be alive back in 2013.

Take a trip down memory lane by reading our new article: The Day Kanye West, J. Cole, & Mac Miller Took Over.

What do you think of “New Slaves” eight years later?

Quotable Lyrics:

So go and grab the reporters, so I can smash their recorders
See, they’ll confuse us with some bullshit like the New World Order
Meanwhile the DEA teamed up with the CCA
They tryna lock n***as up, they tryna make new slaves
See, that’s that privately owned prison, get your peace today
They prolly all in the Hamptons, braggin’ ’bout what they made
Fuck you and your Hampton house, I’ll fuck your Hampton spouse
Came on her Hampton blouse and in her Hampton mouth

Y’all ’bout to turn shit up, I’m ’bout to tear shit down
I’m ’bout to air shit out, now what the fuck they gon’ say now?

Lil Yachty Shares Texts With XXXTentacion On 3-Year Anniversary Of His Passing

Lil Yachty had a close bond with late rapper XXXTentacion. While they never collaborated on any music together, they had some work planned out amongst themselves for future songs. The Atlanta-based Lil Yachty was a big fan of XXX’s music and from the looks of their text message exchange, which Boat shared on the three-year anniversary of X’s passing, they fully intended on minting their friendship in the studio.

Today marks the three-year anniversary of XXXTentacion’s tragic passing. The superstar rapper was well-connected in the music industry so his death felt like a major blow to his peers, fans, and music executives worldwide. The incredible songwriter will never be duplicated, and that’s something that Lil Yachty is well aware of.

The rapper posted a text message thread with XXXTentacion, talking to the artist about his lyrics, trips to New Zealand, and much more. Throughout the conversation, X checked in on Yachty’s mental health, asking if he was doing alright and telling him that he looked tired. That’s a quality that many of X’s friends have spoken about, pointing out that he was always showing love and care to his loved ones.

With unmatched energy, it’s safe to say there will never be another XXXTentacion. Read through Lil Yachty’s tribute post below.

Logan Paul Believes He Can Beat Up Mike Tyson

Logan Paul is fresh off of his fight against Floyd Mayweather and after making millions of dollars, it is clear that he is ready for more. There are certainly going to be some big opportunities coming his way and while the Floyd fight didn’t sell as well as some were hoping, there is still a lot of money to be made out there.

In fact, during a recent episode of “Impaulsive,” Logan made the claim that his lawyer brought up a potential fight against Mike Tyson. Iron Mike is 54 years old but is still going strong, and a fight against Logan would prove to be intriguing. While most would take Tyson in that fight, Logan seems as confident as ever that he could take the legend down.

“Someone mentioned Mike Tyson,” Logan explained. “My lawyer mentioned it and he’s like, ‘Nah, Tyson will rip your head off, you don’t stand a chance.’ I’m like, ‘I just went through all this.’ You can’t tell me I can’t beat Mike Tyson. He’s old, old.”

When you take their age gap into consideration, a win for Logan wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility. However, it simply wouldn’t be that impressive as he has much more agility and endurance when you consider how he’s in his 20s.

Either way, we’re sure someone out there is trying to make this happen, and if the money’s right, who knows…maybe Mike will do it.
