On Thursday, it was reported that Saweetie and Quavo had unfollowed each other on Instagram, and several people immediately assumed that one of Hip-Hop’s favorite couples had called it quits. Fans took to social media to express sadness regarding their split while hoping that the two rappers were somehow still on good terms. Others, however, were much more savage in their reactions, with several Twitter users wasting no time and already shooting their shot at Saweetie. At the time, no one knew for sure what was transpiring between Saweetie and Quavo, but today, the former has revealed that the two have gone their separate ways.

Over two tweets, Saweetie confirmed that she is no longer with the Migos rapper, saying, “I’m single. I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. Presents don’t band aid scars and the love isn’t real when the intimacy is given to other women.”

While the confirmation alone that the two rappers have broken up is enough to shock Hip-Hop fans, the allegations against Quavo for being unfaithful are definitely worth noting. Many people assumed that Saweetie’s threesome comments on Respectfully Justin, the new show hosted by Justin LaBoy and her ex Justin Combs, led to their split, but the “Tap In” rapper made sure to set the record straight and cast blame on Quavo, accusing him of “betrayal” and being intimate with “other women.”

Saweetie also revealed that their relationship had run its course a while ago, but they just recently made the split official this week.

It appears that Saweetie is in pretty good spirits following her split from Quavo, so fans will have to wait to see what the Migos rapper has to say in regards to Saweetie’s accusations. Kyrie Irving is having himself a phenomenal season with the Brooklyn Nets and at this point, the team is looking like it is poised to go all the way to the NBA Finals. There is no guarantee this will happen although if Irving continues to play at this level, there is no telling what the team can accomplish. Of course, Irving will also be wearing his signature sneakers, including the Nike Kyrie 7 which continues to get new teasers.

Recently, the Twitter sneaker insider @US_11 came through with some very interesting information as they posted a pair of Kyrie 7s on their page. As you can see, the shoe is green and yellow, with heat maps on the back heel. Of course, long-time fans will be able to identify this as the infamous “Weatherman” colorway, which was a mainstay of the early KD shoes.

At this point, a release date for the shoe is unknown although we should be getting some new information soon. The “Weatherman” colorway is always anticipated by fans and it’s looking pretty great on the Kyrie 7.

Today is a good day for Griselda fans, and fans of lyricism in general — though it’s likely there’s a staggering amount of crossover between both groups. Benny The Butcher has officially dropped off the sequel to his acclaimed 2018 album, and The Plugs I Met 2 finds him bringing the legendary Harry Fraud in to handle the entirety of the production.

Following the album’s release, Benny took a moment to catch up with Nadeska Alexis on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio show Rap Life Radio. During the conversation, The Butcher shed some light on his experience working with Harry Fraud, which happened to come with the added benefit of a posthumous Chinx verse — among other positives.

“Hit-Boy’s process was a little similar to Harry’s, but it’s little small differences,” reflects The Butcher, referencing his experience crafting last year’s Burden Of Proof. “It might be from how many blunts we smoke or what we do before we start recording to what we do after. With Harry, the vibe was always right. We get in there, we order a bunch of food, we smoke and we talking, we laughing, people were even playing 2K. In the middle of all that, I’m just sitting back and crafting words. I know the prestigious things Harry worked on, and I’m just trying to live up to that.”

He also opens up about landing a verse from the late Chinx, an addition that was hooked up by the album’s prolific producer. “Harry came up with the idea,” explains Benny. “He had a Chinx verse that he had, he was like yo, what you think about if I do that? I was like that would be crazy. And it came out like we were in the studio together. I don’t know what time that verse was from, but I know it fit perfectly.”

Whenever one of YSL Records’ artists releases a new project or celebrates a birthday, Young Thug is always quick to show love, as evidenced by the expensive gift that he just gave to Lil Keed in honor of his 23rd birthday.

In pictures and videos that surfaced from Lil Keed’s birthday party, it was revealed that Young Thug gifted Lil Keed the brand new 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E truck in a sleek, glossy grey color.  Ford’s groundbreaking new zero-emissions electric crossover isn’t even set to release until later this summer, and according to Ford’s website, the Mach-E truck’s prices will start at nearly $43,000.

As previously reported by HipHopDX, Lil Keed could barely keep his eyes off the gleaming vehicle as his party guests gathered around him to capture the special moment with photos and videos. In another post, Keed is seen giving fans an up-close look at his new whip, from its flash exterior to its luxury interior. In the video, he’s heard saying that the ‘Stang Truck is “only for a player,” so it’s safe to say that he’s feeling the birthday gift from his beloved mentor and fellow YSL artist.

Ever since Deshaun Watson requested a trade from the Houston Texans a few months ago, it became quite clear that the team needed to move forward and come up with a plan for the future. You can’t win in the NFL without an elite quarterback and while these players are hard to come by, the Texans are at least trying to get some depth at the QB position.

Recently, the team decided to sign Tyrod Taylor to a one-year contract, and at this point, it seems like he would be the most obvious choice to be the starting quarterback given his experience. Now, however, the Texans have made yet another move, except this time around they are going after the likes of Ryan Finley. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Bengals and Texans recently agreed to the deal.

This move comes in the midst of the numerous sexual assault allegations that are being brought up against Watson. Watson is being sued by seven women and it appears as though two more could be coming forward. This is a tricky situation for the Texans, who were already dealing with Watson’s desires to leave the team.

It appears that President Joe Biden may be slipping up in the public’s eye. This week, multiple White House staffers were reportedly fired or demoted for being marijuana users. This time, however, the stumble was literal, as Biden was caught tripping several times while walking briskly up the steps of an Air Force One in a new video.

Biden, with his hand on the railing, tripped twice before taking a third and final, seemingly, hard tumble as he went up the steps of the aircraft, which was ready for takeoff at Joint Base Andrews. 

Once he was able to get back on his feet, the 78-year-old dusted his knee off and in his final attempt made it to the top of the steps, seemingly without a scratch, although it’s unclear from afar. After a subtle salute, Biden headed inside the craft and set off to Georgia.

While the tumble did appear serious, White House communications director Kate Bedingfield let everyone know Biden was perfectly fine on Twitter.  

“I know folks have seen that President Biden slipped on his way up the stairs to AF1, but I’m happy to report that he is just fine and did not even require any attention from the medical team who travels with him,” she tweeted. 

The flight the POTUS boarded is set to take him and Vice President Kamala Harris to Atlanta to meet with the Asian community, in light of the tragic mass shooting that took place at spas and massage parlors leaving eight people, including six Asian women, dead.

Lil Mama is doubling down on her recent transphobic comments, claiming that she’s starting a “heterosexual rights movement” to defend herself against “LBGTQ bullying”.

Heterosexual people have not historically been discriminated against or oppressed. Nor are they currently being attacked for living their truths. On the other hand, members of the LGBTQIA2+ community are regularly bullied, abused, assaulted, and even killed for how they identify. In recent years, abuse rates against transgender people have skyrocketed, especially among Black trans women. Lil Mama recently compared transgender children to cats and dogs, making an extremely transphobic remark that she continued to support throughout the week. On Thursday, the rapper decided to double down even further, announcing that she’s starting a “heterosexual rights movement” to protect herself against “LGBTQ bullying”.

“I’m about to start a heterosexual rights movement,” wrote the rapper on Instagram. “Anti-LGBTQ BULLYING. Y’all fight so hard to be respected and SOME of you, NOT ALL, get a kick out bullying people for having an option, how they dress, how their hair and or make up looks, how much money they have, etc. There are so many people afraid to give their honest opion because if they do, the LGBTQ+ will hear what they want to hear and take statements out of context.”

Lil Mama went on to argue that she doesn’t need to “prove [herself]” by reminding people that she has loved ones who identify within the LGBTQ+ community, despite the fact that she’s clearly been trying to prove a point all week unsuccessfully.

The rapper is earning all kinds of backlash for her latest comments, as well as her earlier statements. Perhaps she should consider simply issuing an apology to the people she offended and educating herself on LGBTQ+ people’s rights.
