Billionaire status has become the desired endgame for many prominent hip-hop superstars, though one that’s not quite so easily achieved. Until now, Watch The Throne alumni JAY-Z and Kanye West were among the lone two to achieve the massive financial milestone. Now, another contender — who happens to be a recurring collaborator of both Hov and Yeezy — has joined the billionaire club: Rihanna.

Forbes reports that musician and entrepreneur Robyn Fenty is officially worth $1.7 billion dollars, making her the highest-paid female artist and the second-highest-paid female entertainer; in that category, Oprah Winfrey holds a hefty lead.

The report notes that a substantial bulk of Rih’s net worth stems from her 50% ownership stake in Fenty Beauty, which counts for around $1.4 billion dollars. Forbes explains that Fenty Beauty is currently worth $2.8 billion dollars, with no sign that the company will slow down in the future.  Her Savage x Fenty lingerie company makes up an additional $270 million, with Forbes reporting that she holds a 30% stake; in an interesting connection, JAY-Z’s Marcy Venture Partners investment firm also holds shares in the company. Run This Town indeed.  

Though competition was fierce, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty was able to gain ground over competitor companies like Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics and Kim Kardashian West’s KKW Beauty in its first fiscal year. Considering all of the significant strides she has made in the fashion industry, it’s no wonder her long-sought R9 project (Skepta recently expressed interest in producing) has been placed on a seemingly indefinite hold. Not that Rihanna’s bottom line will suffer as a result, as the beauty entrepreneur is, to quote the immortal wisdom Rick Ross, richer than she’s ever been.

Since exploding onto the scene years ago as part of the Migos, Quavo has always been one to floss his riches and jewels, whether in his raps or in real life, but now it appears he’s making those around him rich as well. In fact, Quavo says he pays his personal assistant $5,000 a DAY, which comes out to nearly $1.8 million for the year.

Quavo shared this announcement on Instagram yesterday with a picture of his personal assistant holding an umbrella and fan for the rapper under the hot sun, while the Migos rapper informed fans that he’s getting $5,000 a day for his work. He captioned the pic, “5k a Day My Asst. A Millionaire!.”

Unfortunately Quavo seemingly already has his guy and doesn’t look to be hiring, but talk about having a sweet job. Sheesh. 

Quavo, and the Migos, are coming off the release of their 3rd installment of Culture, which dropped back at the end of June. Stream that project right here if you haven’t done so already, and look for the ATL trio to be hitting the road in the near future for a supporting tour. The Charlotte, North Carolina rapper has been dropped from pretty much every major music festival you can think of following his homophobic banter during his Rolling Loud set last month. Furthermore, artists such as Dua Lipa and Questlove have publicly criticized his actions, while others, like T.I. and Boosie Badazz, have quickly come to his defense.

As DaBaby continues to face repercussions for his actions, the ongoing debate about cancel culture persists as well, and now NLE Choppa has entered the chat to offer his take on DaBaby’s situation.

According to the From Dark To Light artist who Jack Harlow has dubbed NLE Chakra, DaBaby is in the perfect position to have a larger-than-life comeback following his current controversy. “Dababy Gone Come Out Bigger Than Ever While Y’all Tryna Down Play The Man,” NLE Choppa stated in a recent tweet.

Naturally, some fans assumed that the “Shotta Flow” rapper was justifying the BLAME IT ON BABY artist’s homophobic comments, but according to NLE Choppa, he is more concerned with people recognizing that DaBaby is still just human. In response to a fan who called him out for supporting DaBaby’s “disrespectful and mfn insensitive” comments, NLE Choppa wrote back, “Ian say it was. But not everybody acting like we ain’t human. If y’all think bruh said what he said with the intent to hurt somebody y’all delusional. It’s comedian saying worst shit then what bruh said.”
