6ix9ine Demands Wack100 Sets Up 1-On-1 Fight With Lil Durk

If there’s one person who has played a significant role in keeping Tekashi 6ix9ine relevant in hip-hop media, it’s DJ Akademiks. Now, we all know that the two have a tight-knit relationship, even if Ak has stated that he’s impartial in 6ix9ine’s feuds. A few weeks ago, he revealed that he had mediated a conversation between Tekashi and Wack100 which finally dropped this morning.

As expected, tensions ran high throughout the 3-hour-long podcast as Tekashi 6ix9ine and Wack ironed out the issues that have been boiling over the past few years. At one point in the conversation, 6ix9ine and Wack landed on the topic of Lil Durk who the rainbow-haired rapper insists should fight him.

“Before you leave Miami, you call Durk and get him in the same room as me — make it happen. You got the phone right there,” 6ix9ine demanded as Wack stared across the table with his arms crossed. “And what? I can make that call,” Wack responded. “You wanna head on with Durk?”

A head on with Durk. The bathroom right there,” 6ix9ine said, claiming that he’s “been doing that.”

“You weren’t doing that in jail,” Wack said before 6ix9ine started listing off his apparent credentials.

“2015, when I was on Riker’s Island in the three-building at A top, I was gettin’ in the bathroom with YG n***as. Are you fucking kidding me?!” 6ix9ine said as his face turned red with fury. However, he ultimately set Wack up for the punchline.

“Were you drugged in the bathroom or you was voluntarily going into the bathroom?” Wack asked. “As big as you want to talk, you’re not that big.”

Check out the full interview below. The bit on Durk starts around the 31:50-mark.

Royce Da 5’9″ Previews Slaughterhouse Reunion: “3 Down, 1 To Go”

What is going on in hip-hop? First Dr. Dre is dropping a new album, then Wu-Tang’s Once Upon A Time In Shaolin found a new buyer, and now Slaughterhouse appears to be on the verge of a reunion. Before long, Andre 3000 will be announcing a solo project on the way.

In all seriousness, Royce Da 5’9, KXNG Crooked, and Joell Ortiz appear to be actively collaborating once again, and while it’s unclear as to whether Joe Budden will be hopping on board, the door has been left wide open for the podcaster should he be so inclined. Following a series of phone-call catch-ups, it seems as if the three aforementioned emcees wasted little time in hitting the booth, laying down what can only be described as theme music.

Royce shared a snippet of the track in question on his Instagram page, playing the majority of KXNG Crooked’s verse. From the sound of it, the track appears to feature a heavy superhero motif, and Crook lines his verse with references to Wakanda, WandaVision, Deadshot, One-Punch Man, the Incredible Hulk, and more. “Crooked is gooooooooddddd,” captions Royce, while Crooked issues an open invite to Budden: “3 down, 1 to go.”

It’s also interesting to note the narration that appears to introduce each verse, reminiscent of a classic superhero TV series. “Meanwhile back at the lab, Slaughterhouse had had their first defeat,” begins the narrator. “The team is feeling down and out, but are they down for the count?” From there, the track explodes with an epic Conan The Barbarian sample, leading into a hard-hitting verse from track opener Royce Da 5’9. From the sound of his early bars, don’t be surprised to see this one titled “Comic Book” or some similar variation when it drops.

He also shared another snippet, and while it doesn’t appear to feature any of his Slaughterhouse compatriots, the aggressive tone does seem to suggest a potential response to his old pal Lupe Fiasco. Clearly, Nickle has had his hands full of late, and don’t be surprised to see the calculated Detroit veteran returning in full force. The only question is, how strong is Joe’s resistance to FOMO?

Biz Markie’s Widow Receives Heartfelt Letter From The Obamas

The Obamas have always been a couple to show the utmost amount of class in how they’ve carried themselves and interacted with others, both during and after Barack’s two terms as the nation’s 44th President. They’ve continued to display the same level of tact with the recent passing of hip-hop legend Biz Markie, who was experiencing complications with diabetes before his death on July 16th. His widow, Tara Hall, shared a letter with TMZ that she received from the Obamas following his death.

In the letter, the Obamas remarked that they didn’t know Biz to the same degree that Hall or his other loved ones did, but they recognized him as “one of rap’s most innovative stylists and as a great man.” They also included a fond memory they had of Biz while he was supporting Barack on the campaign trail during his 2008 presidential bid, recalling that he would perform “Party with a Purpose” to encourage people to get out to vote. They also remarked that his legacy within hip hop will “span generations just as it has for nearly four decades.”

Hall added that she received the letter unsolicited last week and was stunned to have received anything at all. Following Biz’s passing, Hall is starting a fund in his name with hopes to further raise money for the organizations he was supporting while he was alive. The fund is called the “Biz Markie’s Just a Friend Charity Fund,” named after one of the late rapper’s most iconic and memorable hit songs.

Biz’s life and legacy was remembered at a family and friends memorial service in Long Island on Monday, with friends like Busta Rhymes, Fat Joe, LL Cool J, Montell Jordan, and Ice-T in attendance. Aside from the Obamas, figures like Rev. Al Sharpton, Talib Kweli and comedian Dave Chappelle have paid their respects to the late rapper and DJ.

Check out the letter at the link below and let us know what you think about the Obamas’ touching remarks.

Yung Miami & Diddy Fuel Dating Rumors With Intimate Video

Thanks to a recently posted and deleted post to Yung Miami’s Instagram story, it looks like both City Girls rappers may officially be off the market. While her friend and collaborator JT has been romantically attached to Lil Uzi Vert for several months, rumors about Yung Miami’s love life have persisted since she was spotted holding hands with Diddy at the beginning of the summer.

Yung Miami has since been spotted in Diddy’s close vicinity, most recently at his star-studded July pool party in Miami. However, it wasn’t until the City Girls rapper’s latest Instagram post that it looked like she and Diddy may be in a serious relationship after all.

In the short video, Yung Miami is spotted taking a shot straight out of a DeLeon Tequila bottle while sitting on Diddy’s lap and laying on his chest. Although it was quickly deleted, it’s definitely a sign that the City Girls rapper is more than just friends with the Bad Boy founder. Diddy recently wiped his Instagram clean in order to usher in the “Love Era,” so perhaps the “Love Era” will entail much more than new music from the legendary New York record producer.

Check out the brief screengrab of Yung Miami and Diddy’s sneaky link below.

What do you think? Is there any doubt that Diddy and Yung Miami are romantically involved at this point?

R. Kelly’s Lawyer Says Singer Is Losing Money & Gaining Weight Ahead Of Trial

It appears R. Kelly isn’t doing too good right now as he awaits trial for his sex-trafficking case later this month. According to his own lawyers, who were in federal court yesterday ahead of jury selection, the Chicago singer has gained a lot of weight and is losing money as he awaits trial. They say he can’t even afford to pay for court transcripts.

“His finances are depleted,” his lawyer, Devereaux Cannick, told Judge Ann Donnelly yesterday. “I ask the court to give him daily copies of the transcripts.”

Cannick also said his client has “gained weight since he’s been incarcerated.” “We need measurements for appropriate attire for his trial,” he said. “We’re trying to get his measurements. How can we take his size?”

“It’s going to be a long trial,” Judge Donnelly said after prosecutors outlined their plans to call numerous witnesses, including women who say they were sexually abused, physically abused and coerced to do things for Kelly’s pleasure.

The singer is accused of employing an entourage to find young women and girls for him to have sex with for years, even though he continues to maintain his innocence. “He is tired of hearing allegations,” his lawyer told The Post outside the courthouse. “He knows the truth and I think it’s very frustrating for him to hear these allegations and know the truth is out there and he just wants it to unfold.

“He believes that when folks are under oath and being examined we would be able to get to the truth,” Cannick said.

We’ll keep you updated with more details on the trail as it is set to begin on August 18th.

The Anonymous Buyer Of Wu-Tang’s ‘Once Upon A Time In Shaolin’ Will Reveal Their Identity Soon

The legend of Once Upon A Time In Shaolin continues. The one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang Clan album which was previously purchased at auction by Pharma Bro Martin Shkreli was recently sold off by the government to settle Shkreli outstanding debts in the wake of his conviction for securities fraud. Although the buyer was originally anonymous, a representative told CNBC that the buyer will identify themselves “in the next two months or so.”

The album has been the subject of plenty of drama from its inception when RZA made the announcement that only one physical copy would be produced and auctioned off — a decision the other members of the band weren’t all that excited about. Recorded in secret over a six-year period, the album was held in an ornate, jewel-encrusted case with leather-bound notes. It was only exhibited once before being sold. Shkreli bought the album before the controversial price hike of his drug.

Over the next few years, Shkreli played the album on live streams, threatened to destroy it altogether, and promised to release it for free if Donald Trump won the 2016 election — a promise he reneged on. However, the album was forfeit after the controversial investor was convicted for securities fraud. Now, we’ll have to wait and see what happens next and what the new buyer — whoever they are — will do with the project.
