Westside Gunn Joins Peter Rosenberg’s Album For “Stain”

When it comes to hip-hop dynasties, many conversations on the topic tend to look to examine the past. Yet one in particular has managed to establish greatness in this modern era — Westside Gunn’s Griselda Records, a Buffalo-bred movement that has almost single-handled returned golden-era lyricism to the mainstream. With his upcoming album Sincerely Adolf on the way, Gunn has joined forces with Peter Rosenberg, who is currently in the midst of unveiling his own A&R’d compilation album Real Late.

On the same day that his brother Conway The Machine delivered a new single of his own in “Blood Roses,” Gunn and Rosenberg dropped off “Stain,” a grimy cut produced by Bvlvm and JR Swift. By now, it’s already clear that Westside Gunn’s “Ayo” signals an epic stream of violent and vivid lyricism. The only thing capable of bringing him to a stop is the innate desire to let fly a spirited cry of BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM. The more BOOMS, the harder the bars feel like a fair rule of thumb.

“The baddest bitch I ever fucked, I forgot her name,” he raps. “Shoot your block solo, it’s not a game / I’m talkin’ blood everywhere, all type of brains / I’m sayin’ stain on stain on top of stain.” So far, Rosenberg’s Real Late is shaping up to be a gem, and we look forward to its complete release. What do you make of Westside Gunn’s “Stain?”

QUOTABLE LYRICS

The baddest bitch I ever fucked, I forgot her name
Shoot your block solo, it’s not a game
I’m talkin’ blood everywhere, all type of brains
I’m sayin’ stain on stain on top of stain

Quavo Confirms He Repo’d Saweetie’s Bentley In New Music Preview

Around Christmas time, Quavo generously gifted Saweetie, his girlfriend at the time, a fully customized new Bentley. The luxurious new whip came equipped in an icy blue wrap, perfect to complete Saweetie’s look. Back then, it was impossible to predict that the car would end up becoming one of the central components to their messy breakup but, alas, here we are.

There were rumors flying around that Quavo had sent a repo man to take back the Bentley in the days following their shocking split. It was seemingly confirmed that those rumors were false, but in a new song preview, Quavo appears to be fanning the flames by stating that he actually did take back the car.

As reported by a few hip-hop blog sites on social media, Quavo seems to diss his ex-girlfriend Saweetie when he says, “Lil’ bitty b*tch, she slimy, she sneaky/I’m takin’ back that Bentley.” It’s unclear when this track was first previewed but it was shared alongside the following alleged caption: “Skrtttt Skrtt takin back dat Bently!! F*ck dem hoes now I gotta act stingy [laughing emoji] new Huncho & Petro otw.”

Clearly, Quavo is still feeling pretty petty about his breakup, as most Aries men would. This isn’t the first time he has seemingly dissed Saweetie in a song snippet. At the end of last month, he shared another snippet where he says, “Young n***a burnt out, burnt out/12 pulling up so we burned out/Sweet little b*tch now she turnt out.” Many believed that to also be some shade at Saweetie.

Polo G Is Living Life Like A “RAPSTAR”

One of Chicago’s finest rap talents, Polo G continues his prolific run with the release of his new single and music video “RAPSTAR”.

The 22-year-old rapper is pushing toward superstardom, gaining a lot of respect over the years with his full-length efforts THE GOAT and Die A Legend. Since releasing “Pop Out” with Lil Tjay, the two then-buzzing stars have grown substantially with Polo taking a more lyrical approach to his art. Priding himself on never delivering a weak verse, Capalot has been switching up his delivery ever-so-slightly during this current era, pushing for a more aggressive sound in previous single releases. With “RAPSTAR”, he’s back to the same style we know and love him for.

The ukelele-based trap beat was produced by Einer Bankz and Synco, with Polo rapping about his success as a wealthy young artist in the chorus.

This track is a highlight from Polo’s recently-released material, and it’s expected to appear on the rapper’s upcoming album Hall Of Fame. Stay tuned for more new music from Polo G.

Quotable Lyrics:

They say I’m Pac rebirthed, never put out a weak verse
Homicides when we lurk, I’ma step ’til my feet hurt
Weren’t puttin’ them streets first
White tees turned burgundy t-shirts
Lookin’ for somethin’ real, he stuck in a deep search
Anxiety killin’ me, I just want to leave Earth
When they ask if I’m okay, it just make everything seem worse

The 2021 Electric Daisy Carnival Is Happening Surprisingly Soon And Will Be ‘The Full EDC Experience’

There appears to be hope on the horizon in terms of the ongoing pandemic, as more and more people are getting COVID-19 vaccines by the day. While the world is gradually opening back up, events that would draw large crowds are still mostly not happening quite yet. It may seem surprising, then, that Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas is going on with its 2021 event. Furthermore, it’s happening surprisingly soon, as the festival is set for May 21 to 23.

Pasquale Rotella — the founder and CEO of Insomniac Events, the company behind EDC — shared the news last night, noting that organizers “are moving forward as planned & will be working closely with local & state officials to make the show as safe as possible” and that “more details on safety protocols & the lineup will be shared soon.” He offered no indication that the event — which usually draws about 125,000 attendees per day, as Billboard notes — will be hosted in a reduced capacity, writing, “You can expect the full EDC experience with no details spared, from the festival grounds to the music, stages, art, performers, artists & fireworks!”

This news arrived shortly after Dr. Anthony Fauci said the number of new COVID-19 cases in the US is currently at a “disturbingly high level” and noted that the country could experience a surge in new cases. He concluded, “Hang in there a bit longer. Now is not the time, as I’ve said so many times, to declare victory prematurely.”

Check out Rotella’s post below.

“Electric Daisy Carnival is finally on the horizon. There were times during the pandemic when many of us lost hope. We were challenged to learn & listen to our hearts & trust that the storm would eventually pass, making way for a bright & sunny future for those in our community & around the world.

With the world being shutdown for over a year, I’m happy to announce we’re on our way to being able to celebrate in person. Book your flights, hotels & shuttles — EDC Las Vegas is on for May 21+22+23!

We are moving forward as planned & will be working closely with local & state officials to make the show as safe as possible. You can expect the full EDC experience with no details spared, from the festival grounds to the music, stages, art, performers, artists & fireworks! I look forward to seeing all your beautiful faces & feeling your incredible energy, and I couldn’t be more excited.

More details on safety protocols & the lineup will be shared soon. If you’re unable to attend in May 2021, no worries, but you’ll be missed. You can go to the link in my bio to transfer your ticket to 2022.

We’re ready to spread our wings & embrace our community who we miss so much. We know there may be challenges in front of us, which we will accept & do our best to overcome. We’ve been apart for a long time & I can’t wait to join you, united, Under the Electric Sky.”

Polo G Details His Life As A Rising Star On His Boastful ‘Rapstar’ Track

Polo G has grown to be a favorite out of the new class of rappers for many hip-hop fans. The Chicago native has released countless songs that have proven his stay in the rap game will be far from temporary. The rapper continues his run with his latest single, “Rapstar,” a boastful effort that discusses his rising stardom and position in the rap game. He talks about his impressive performances on songs, the money and the women he’s involved himself with since his 2019 breakout, and the expected hardships and struggles that come with adjusting to fame.

To push the message even further, he shared a video with the track that shows him buying cars for friends, flying aboard private jet with a number of women on board, dealing with an annoying group of paparazzi, accepting a position in the hip-hop hall of fame, and more. The new track continues what’s been a decent streak of 2021 releases from Polo G. This list includes his “Headshot” collaboration with Lil Tjay and Fivio Foreign, “Richer” with Rod Wave, and “GNF (OKOKOK)” which was paired with a Cole Bennett-directed video. All of it arrives after the Chicago native dropped what was one of the more impressive rap album of last with The Goat.
