Slim Jxmmi Wants All The Smoke With Soulja Boy In The Ring

There have been several artists and Pop Culture entertainers jumping into the sports field as they go toe-to-toe in the ring. Whether they face off with professional boxers, are working on their boxing careers, or are looking to stack their bank accounts with high-profile fights, we’re seeing an influx of pay-per-view bouts between unlikely artists.

For years there have been talks about Soulja Boy taking his turn in the ring against a formidable opponent, and we may be watching the “I did it first” rapper go up again Rae Sremmurd’s Slim Jxmmi.

“I’ll fight any rapper in the game in a boxing match Boxing glove,” Soulja tweeted yesterday (August 8). Fans quickly responded with who they’d like to see him fight, but Jxmmi answered the call. “Let’s go run it,” he replied. Rae Sremmurd’s Twitter account jumped in to stir the pot by tweeting, “@souljaboy x @Jxmmi [eyeball emojis].”

Soulja wasn’t fazed. “I’ll knock yo homeboy out swae,” he added. Jxmmi claimed that a boxing match against Soulja would be “light work” and said he would be the first rapper to take him down. Meanwhile, Swae Lee stood by his brother’s side. “Jxmmy lives for that and that’s my brother ! I gotta see it.”

Time will only tell if this materializes in the future, but let us know who you would bet on if Soulja Boy and Slim Jxmmi were to go up against one another in a professional match.

EarthGang Pays Homage To Erykah Badu On New Single

It looks like Dreamville will be back on an impeccable run this year. Shortly after we received the latest album from J. Cole, The Off-Season, EarthGang appears to be the next ones from the label to drop. Earlier this year, they announced the title of their new album, Ghetto Gods. As anticipation rises, especially after dropping “Options (Remix)” with Wale and Coi Leray, they’ve keeping fans on the edge of their seats with another new single.

Today, EarthGang came through with a brand new drop paying homage to Erykah Badu. Aptly titled, “Erykah,” the song takes its inspiration from “Window Seat” and kicks off with a monologue detailing Erykah Badu’s impact.

Ghetto Gods is due out later this year. Keep your eyes peeled for an official release date and peep “Erykah” below.

Quotable Lyrics
I hate everyone the same, toxic and unashamed
My bitch ridin’ shotgun in her bonnet all day
I love this hoe, might as well throw these condoms away
I’m poetic, I can set this off with one conversation
N***as mad ’cause I’m sendin’ bitches flight confirmation
Been advanced my whole life, momma called it impatient

Latto Claps Back At People Who Criticize Her Looks: “I Got Old Money”

She’s been working on her craft since she was a young teen, but Latto is finally receiving the recognition her fans believe she deserves. It has been a long time since Latto appeared on The Rap Gameand was chosen by Jermaine Dupri as the winner, yet even with the accolades she’s accumulated since that time, Latto often faces off with naysayers. People have been making comments about the 22-year-old rapper looking much more mature than her age, so Latto took a moment to set things straight.

“Don’t ever play w my face card,” she wrote on her Story. “Y’all love to be in them blog comments saying how ‘old’ I look.”

“Hoe don’t let them wigs, makeup, and stage outfits fool u I got old money and carry myself like a grown ass woman that’s all,” she continued. The Shade Room reposted the rapper’s message and someone commented that “the white woman jumped out when she said old money.” Latto, who is biracial, has received such comments in the past, so she took a moment to address the person.

“FYI black ppl can have ‘old money’ so idk what u mean,” Latto replied.  “But I was referring to the income I’ve accumulated since 16yrs old not inherited income. I’m a first generation millionaire [hands raised emoji].” Check out the exchange below.

Bam Margera Sues Johnny Knoxville & More Of The “Jackass” Cast & Crew

The ugly fallout between former Jackass member Bam Margera and the whole Jackass crew continues with yet another legal move.

After Jackass director Jeff Tremaine filed a restraining order against Bam back in June, it seemed as if the long feud between Bam and production would be out of the picture for good.

The new Jackass clan went on to drop the trailer for their upcoming film, Jackass Forever, without any footage of Bam. This release confirmed suspicions that because of their fallout, the stunts Bam had already performed and filmed for the movie would be cut.

Bam evidently is not satisfied with how things were left though, and now is setting out to sue the Jackass gang. The forty-one-year-old stated the “wellness agreement” he signed actually “forced him to take a cocktail of prescription drugs that left him depressed and drained, and restricted his ability to travel, work and live his life,” according to TMZ.

The actor-comedian now claims the routine drug test that got him booted from the franchise was a positive test for Adderall, despite the fact that he’s apparently been prescribed the drug for over 10 years. He also alleged his treatment by the Jackass crew was “inhumane” and “discriminatory,” comparing it to Britney Spears’ conservatorship.

Back in February when news first broke, Bam co-signed that he stopped taking his prescribed medication, thus resulting in him being fired, as he broke the contract that was drawn up by his concerned Jackass family.

Almost everyone involved with Jackass is cited for Bam’s alleged false firing in the recently-filed suit, including Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze, Jeffrey Tremaine, Paramount Pictures, MTV, Dickhouse Entertainment and Gorilla Flicks.

Tory Lanez Fires Back At Cassidy On “‘When Its Dark (E-NFT) 8-10-21’ Freestyle”

Tory Lanez is on his way to release a full NFT album this week which some fans believe is a product of being blackballed following the incident with Megan Thee Stallion last summer. He dismissed this theory during his comeback journey these past few weeks. “SKAT” ft. DaBaby has combated the efforts of cancel culture and it feels like it’s still getting heavy spins in the club. Meanwhile, he hit up Funk Flex where he showcased his lyrical sword, though it didn’t go as planned. Cassidy, out of all people, called out Tory for his attempts to “pay homage” before unleashing his own diss track, “Perjury.”

Today, Tory fulfilled Royce Da 5’9″‘s wishes and officially offered a response to Cassidy on his new freestyle. The rapper tackles A$AP Rocky’s “Ghetto Symphony” record and breezes through the production with lavish flexes before putting the battle rapper on blast. “I leave Cas’ body in that casket his career is in,” raps Tory. “Ding, ding, ding, 15 minutes of fame is up/ Was in them hotels with R. Kelly, we should flame you up.”

We’ve yet to hear from Cassidy on the matter but we’ll keep you updated if he responds.

Quotable Lyrics
Old n***as talkin’, I ain’t hearin’ em, I put fear in ’em
I leave Cas’ body in that casket his career is in
My prime to your prime, dawg, it’s no comparison
What you gon’ compare? Some SMACK DVD appearances?

Rihanna drops her gaze to the camera when the voice says, “and it’s not because we wanna be that way, it’s because we’re dealt a hand and, guess what, we don’t run from it. We deal with it.”

The mood switches from daytime and dreamy to dark and sensual with the sound of a camera’s click– the singer’s silhouette basking in golden light. Rihanna now narrates, “And so you want me to tell you what a woman supposed to smell like? However the fuck they wanna feel,” before the video closes with another camera click, and the shot of the perfume bottle.

NLE Choppa Tackles Mobb Deep Classic On “Quiet Storm”

NLE Choppa has proven himself to be one of the game’s more interesting young voices, a narrative that gains further fuel through his brand new freestyle over Mobb Deep’s “Quiet Storm.” It’s become so assumed that new generation rappers have little to no interest in tackling so-called boom-bap production that Choppa gains points off the bat for even attempting. Even if we do have Big Tigger, Rapsody, and their new Revolt series Off-Top to thank for that.

For his part, Choppa fares quite nicely over Havoc’s ominous production. Though he lacks the urgency of Mobb Deep’s legendary pair, Choppa’s perspective is engaging enough to retain interest, even if it’s evident that he’s stepping outside of his comfort zone in the flow department. Still, it’s interesting enough to see a young artist dipping into the golden era, and he certainly delivers a few slick gangsta rap bars as he hits his stride.

Check out NLE Choppa’s “Quiet Storm” freestyle now, and sound off if you think he did Mobb Deep justice.

The Kid LAROI Claims He Has COVID, Quickly Retracts Statement

The Kid LAROI has been having a massive moment over the past few weeks thanks to his hit song “Stay” featuring Justin Bieber. The success of the song has launched his new album to the top spot of the Billboard Top 200, and now, “Stay” is the number one song on the Billboard charts. This is LAROI’s first song to chart that high, and if you’ve been on TikTok as of late, then you would know that this song is inescapable.

Following this major milestone, LAROI went on his Instagram page and celebrated his latest achievement with a lengthy message to all of the fans who have supported him over the years. Within the message, LAROI noted that he wanted to go back home to his native Australia although COVID has put the kibosh on that.

 Per The Kid LAROI:

“WOAH. number fucking 1!!! first of all, thank you to every single one of you mfs for streaming, buying and supporting the fuuuuck out of this record & thank you to my brother @justinbieber for being apart of this and going so hard for me constantly. this is not only a big moment for me, but a really big moment for Australia. growing up all I ever wanted to do was “make it big” in America and show everyone what we have to offer. it’s been a while since I’ve been back home because of COVID but truuust me I been there in spirit lol. I wanna take this moment to give a shoutout to a couple of other upcoming Australian artists and put you all in tune — they’re next”

In the original caption, LAROI had added an extra caveat concerning COVID-19, saying: “which I currently have rn and have been locked in a room for the past 7 days.” This was quickly deleted although it is unknown as to why.

LAROI’s admission is interesting considering the fact that he performed at Lollapalooza back on July 29th, according to TMZ. Regardless of where he may have contracted COVID, it is odd that he felt the need to delete that piece of information. Either way, we’re sure he’s just happy to have one of the biggest songs in the world right now.
