He is a hitmaking producer who has worked with some of the hottest artists in Rap, but Southside is catching heat from his ex. Many are familiar with Southside’s relationship with Yung Miami and know that the famous former couple share an adorable daughter named Summer, but that isn’t Southside’s only child. The megaproducer also reportedly shares a son, seven-year-old RJ, with a woman named Ashley, and she recently called him out on social media for allegedly not taking care of his financial responsibilities.
Ashley reportedly launched a GoFundMe campaign to ask the public for their help. She wrote on GoFundMe that the pandemic has caused her to be out of work and she’s now caring for her daughter full-time as the 10-year-old is diabetic.
“Times have been hard for us this year with maintaining bills and putting food on the table,” she wrote. “My son’s father is a wealthy producer named Southside 808mafia who refuses to send support payments for his 7 year old son. He knows this is his son and has stopped supporting since I am seeking child support through the courts because he IS NOT consistent with helping his son with his half.”
On her Instagram Story, Ashley said it’s “unfortunate that this has to happen like this online” but she claimed she didn’t have a choice because she has been “struggling” for so long. “For my kid’s father @808mafiaboss to not be able to assist something for my son’s education as far as supplies and clothes is upsetting.”
Ashley said Southside “can do all the flexing on Instagram” but can’t take the time to “send a box of clothes and supplies from walmart or target.” Read through it all below.
Throughout his NBA career, Kyle Korver was one of the best and most consistent three-point shooters. He is top five on the all-time three-pointers made list, and while he will eventually be passed by some younger stars, there is no doubt that he left his mark on the league. In fact, Korver is extremely respected by his former teammates, and while he was a journeyman in the late stages of his career, there were always teams who wanted him on the roster.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Korver will now be getting his coaching role as he has been named the player development assistant coach for the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets are championship contenders and with James Harden, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant on the roster, there is no doubt they have a chance at the title. As for Korver, he will have an opportunity to help build up the rest of the roster and get this team in a position to have some of the best depth in the league.
This is certainly a big opportunity for Korver who could use this as a jumping-off point for a full-on coaching career. Either way, this is promising to be a solid move for all sides involved.
In just two weeks, Love & Hip Hop Miamiis set to return to small screens, but this off-camera, real-life drama may be more captivating than what producers can come up with. In the early seasons, Christopher Harty, who calls himself “Prince” or the “Fresh Prince of South Beach,” can be seen boasting about his nightclub antics while arguing with women about alleged infidelities. The controversial reality star has also been known to call out Tory Lanez, often taking to social media in hopes of the rapper-singer responding to his requests for a boxing match.
On Wednesday (August 11), Harty was reportedly arrested in Miami in what authorities are calling a domestic violence incident that occurred on July 22.
The alleged victim has not been named in reports, but WPLG Local 10 News in Miami reported that she has been dating Harty “since May 2020.” On the date in question, she told investigators that she visited his apartment to return his shoes. When he opened the door, she admitted to tossing the shoes at Harty, and alleged that he grabbed her by her backpack and pulled her inside of his home.
She accuses Harty of slamming her to the floor before punching her in the mouth, smacking her in the back of her head “with an open hand,” dragging her by her hair, and keeping her from leaving. It is unclear how the alleged victim was able to escape, but it is reported that Harty’s neighbors saw her and helped her down the stairwell as far as the 14th floor where she attempted to get into an elevator. However, once the door opened, Harty was standing inside, and when he saw her, he attempted to grab her once again but she dodged him.
The neighbors were still with her and kept Harty from getting to the woman and once she was able to make it to the lobby, she called the authorities. She reportedly has “minor scratches and bruises on several parts of her body, including her lip, neck, chest, arms, and legs.”
Meanwhile, Harty’s attorney Michael Grieco seemingly blamed the victim for the altercation and asserted that she was the aggressor.
“She just showed up right at his door. We can’t speculate how she got in the building. We have photographs of her footprint on the door showing she was not there for a social call and things went sideways,” Grieco said. “I can’t speak to what happened. But I can tell you there was no kidnapping.” He also claims that Harty has injuries, as well.
Harty appeared in court on Thursday (August 12) and wept during the hearing. He reportedly faces charges of battery and kidnapping and is being held in lieu of the $25K bond.
One of the biggest silhouettes of the year has been the Nike Dunk Low. Badu would later delete the post, but the internet had already taken screen-recording and shared it with the world. On Thursday (August 12), the award-winning singer issued a formal-informal apology to the Obamas via Twitter.
“Mr. And Mrs. Obama , Please forgive me 4 being the ‘terrible guest ‘ at such a sacred event for your family,” wrote Badu. “I was so inconsiderate, Thank you for all your love. What an example of ‘how NOT ‘ to be …… erica.” We’re sure they welcomed the apology with open arms.
At this point, what doesn’t Travis Scott do? Aside from being one of the world’s biggest rappers right now, he regularly produces site-crashing sneaker collaborations with Nike, has a clothing line, a middling hard seltzer brand, a McDonald’s meal… the dude knows how to stay busy. Somehow, amidst all of his various projects, Scott found the time to also quietly drop his first foray into the cannabis industry last month. The artist’s new brand, Cactus Farms, is made in partnership with California-based cultivator Connected Cannabis. So far, the line consists of a single hybrid strain, dubbed PYT Jack Flower, hand-selected by Scott himself and now sold at California dispensaries that carry Connected products as well as Harvest dispensaries in Arizona.
If you’re in the habit of regularly buying weed, you’ve no doubt heard about and have probably smoked strains from Connected before. Not only is it one of California’s best tasting and strongest weed brands on the market right now, but it’s also the priciest — with eighths hovering way too near $100 after taxes. That’s an expensive high for 3.5 grams of herb and those high prices plague Cactus Farms as well — so we set out to see whether or not the new drop is actually worth your cash.

The High
Right off the bat, we’ve got to talk about this packaging. For $80 for an eighth, it isn’t too much to expect the weed to be packaged in a glass jar, which Cactus Farms is not. Instead, it comes wrapped in a resealable plastic bag. We’d give Connected and Travis Scott points for at least choosing a resealable bag… if the weed was $30. Because it’s packaged in a bag it does retain freshness in the same way a jar would. My weed was packaged on June 19th, 2021, and here I am smoking it nearly two months later — the buds have lost all stickiness. Another side effect of the bag is that once you’ve ripped open the seal, this stuff is going to stink up your room, no matter how hard you press on that reseal.
Cactus Farms’ labeling also leaves a lot to be desired. It offers no real information aside from THC percentage. No terpene profile, no expected effects, it doesn’t even tell you that the strain is a hybrid. When it comes to the packaging of Cactus Farms, this brand has taken one too many missteps, it’s not even a C effort, this is a straight-up F.
On to the weed…

Despite its lack of stickiness, the Jack Flower held up pretty well for being nearly two months old. The buds were frosty with deep green leaves with brilliant purple streaks tangled in wiry orange hairs. The smell had mixed notes of pine and sweet berries, with dense buds that broke easily in my grinder, turning to a perfect fluff. I smoked out of a Pax 3 vaporizer to really focus on the flavors and found that Jack Flower has a really pleasing taste to it. Those berry notes that tease themselves on the nose are prominent here, mixed with the sort of gassy funk you’d expect from an Indica-leaning hybrid.
The high also delivers, providing a radiating sense of calm that made me feel at peace and relaxed, without feeling totally blown out of my mind to the point of physical and mental debilitation. It’s definitely a weed strain geared towards chilling out with your friends or enjoying good music or a movie, rather than staying active, even though it doesn’t weigh you down. But while Jack Flower won’t force you to fight against couch lock, it’s not exactly something you can smoke without completely wearing “I’m stoned” on your face. After a single bowl, my eyelids were comically heavy — I spent the next few hours looking half asleep and blissfully unaware of anything.
The Bottom Line
Jack Flower provides a powerful high and an experience that is in line with other top-shelf cannabis brands in this price range. However, for this same price, you can pick up an equally powerful and flavorful weed that is packaged with a lot more care. If you absolutely must smoke Travis Scott’s weed, you won’t be disappointed. But if you’re a hard-core stoner looking for a strain to add to your regular rotation, this probably isn’t it.
LiAngelo Ball has been grinding over the last few years in hopes of someday making it to the NBA. After a stop in Detroit last season, Ball is finally getting an opportunity from the Charlotte Hornets, who boast the talents of his brother, LaMelo. It has always been LaVar Ball’s dream to have all three sons play for the same team, and now, he could very well have two of them sharing the floor together.
Today, Ball and his teammates lost to the San Antonio Spurs, however, Gelo has the best play of the day as he drained what appeared to be an unlikely three-pointer at the end of the first half. As you can see in the clip below, Ball was given the ball with barely any time left on the clock, and that’s when he put up a desperation shot that went in with ease. The crowd was pretty stunned by it all although they were equal parts impressed.
It remains to be seen whether or not LiAngelo will be able to keep his spot on the Hornets, although based on his current play, there is a good chance he will make it to preseason. From there, he would be able to show off his chemistry with LaMelo, which could be enough to catch the eye of his prospective boss, Michael Jordan.

Now, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Leonard has officially signed with the Clippers on a four-year extension that is worth $176.3 million. This means Leonard will now make over $44 million per year which is certainly a fair deal given what he does for the Clippers franchise. He immediately makes them title contenders and this money will certainly go a long way over the next four years.
There is also another player option in the fourth year, which means Leonard can decide to decline it and negotiate another contract. Either way, the Clippers have Leonard locked in for at least three more years, which is huge for the franchise.
