Flipp Dinero Flexes Up On “Play My Part”

It’s been hard for 25-year-old New York rapper Flipp Dinero to replicate his breakout success in 2019 with tracks like “Leave Me Alone” and “How I Move” featuring Lil Baby, though not without trying. The rapper has released singles and new collaborations consistently throughout 2020 and 2021, all to varying degrees of success, though nothing has come close to the popularity of his 2019 hits. However, “Play My Part,” the rapper’s first release since May, could turn the tide for Flipp Dinero in 2021 and put him back on everyone’s playlist.

Flipp Dinero’s signature raspy voice and drawn-out melodies are an immediate stand-out on the track, backed by a driving guitar beat. Flipp Dinero moves through his vocal range in the first verse and chorus as he flexes his money and vows to never switch up on those who got him to where he is. Apparently, Flipp Dinero is happy just where he is in life- stacking up one and playing his part in. the industry and on the street.

“Play My Part” dropped with an accompanying music video.

Balvin’s last album, Colores, was released in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, a decision that the singer said was difficult to make. He spoke with ET at the time about how he came to the conclusion to drop the project during such dark times.

“I asked [my fans], ‘Do you guys want the album or not?’ And, 99 percent of the response was, ‘Yes, drop that now. We need vibes, we need Colores.’ I knew it was time to give back and forget about competition and drop the music,” he expressed. “When you do things with your heart, they end up being amazing.”

Balvin also announced that Jose will be released on September 10.

Michael Irvin Is Worried About Dak Prescott

Michael Irvin has always been a massive advocate for the Dallas Cowboys, who have certainly had their fair share of struggles over the years. Irvin won numerous championships with the team and if there is anyone who is going to make excuses for them, it is going to be him. Unfortunately, in recent years, the Cowboys haven’t given Irvin much to cheer about, however, he continues to see the bright side on every issue.

Now, it seems as though Irvin is changing course thanks to Dak Prescott’s recent shoulder injury. Prescott’s training camp has been less than ideal, and during an episode of his podcast, Irvin made the claim that Prescott’s injury could be very worrisome, especially since he is struggling to throw the ball at times.

“When I was there at camp, he was throwing the ball back to the guy that was snapping it to him with his left hand,” Irvin said. “It only takes that little wave with the right hand to throw the ball two yards, and I was like, ‘Oh, no. Oh, no.’ The worst thing in the world, right now, is to have everybody in camp saying, ‘Oh, no, we’re going to have to play this season without Dak.’ Or, ‘We’re going to have to miss a considerable amount of time without Dak.'”

While Prescott is back to throwing at practice, his status for the preseason remains unknown. Of course, he is coming off of a brutal ankle injury, and if the Cowboys want him to be healthy for the entire season, they will need to exercise an abundance of caution.

Bill Maher Defends Matt Damon From “Woke Police” After Damon Admitted Recent Use Of “F-Slur”

Bill Maher defended Matt Damon for his use of a homophobic slur, blaming the outrage on “woke police” and “cancel culture.” Maher added that Damon is “one of the most likable guys in Hollywood.”

“Okay, he was late to the party,” Maher admitted on HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher. “To which we could say, ‘Welcome, glad you could make it. Or we could say, ‘You came later than I did. Die,’”

“Really?” he continued. “He’s got a clean water charity and delivers food to Haiti. What have you done, Fox headline writer? And yet, he is always getting pulled over by the woke police.”

Maher’s segment comes after Damon admitted that he was using the derogatory term until “months ago,” after his daughter educated him on why it was damaging to say. He later apologized, explaining that he never directed the slur at anyone.

“I have never called anyone f***** in my personal life and this conversation with my daughter was not a personal awakening,” he clarified after the fact. “I do not use slurs of any kind.”

Alex Rodriguez Dances With Three Women Amid J-Lo & Ben Affleck Romance

Just a few months ago, it seemed as though Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were an unstoppable power couple. The two had been together for a few years and were even engaged. Eventually, however, A-Rod and J-Lo opted to call off the engagement, and cheating rumors immediately began to ensue.

Since that time, Rodriguez has become part-owner in the Minnesota Timberwolves all while Lopez has reignited her romance with Ben Affleck. J-Lo and Affleck have been spending a lot of time together as of late, and many have speculated on how this is making A-Rod feel

Despite all of this, A-Rod appears to be living his best life, which is definitely good to see, especially after heartbreak. According to TMZ, the former baseball superstar was spotted in a club in Las Vegas recently where he could be found dancing and chopping it up with three women. A-Rod had a big smile on his face while doing so and it’s clear that he’s not afraid to have a good time despite everything that has happened over the last few months.

With clubs and bars opening up, A-Rod is in a prime position to live his best single life possible, and he is already off to a good start. Not to mention, being part-owner of a professional basketball team will certainly keep his mind occupied for the time being.

Smooky MarGielaa Hops On The Rockstar Wave With “WokRock”

Just a few years ago, Smooky MarGielaa made a name for himself as a teenager thanks to a co-sign from none other than A$AP Rocky. After appearing on the second Cozy Tapes project, MarGielaa continued to drop singles that showed off just how good he is with melodic tones. In 2021, MarGielaa has changed up his sound a bit as now, he is going for some rockstar aesthetics. On his latest track “WokRock,” Smooky is able to find his pocket in the rock lane with one of his most menacing bangers to date.

Throughout this track, we get a dark guitar line that sounds like it came from a System Of A Down track. From there, MarGielaa’s flow is commanding all while more distorted guitar soloing is done in the background. The beat has this slow burn to it and you can’t help but get hyped up while listening.

Quentin Tarantino’s Mother Comments On Her Son Refusing To Share Wealth With Her

Quentin Tarantino’s mother, Connie Zastoupil, has responded after Tarantino said that he doesn’t share any of his wealth with her. The legendary director recently admitted that he doesn’t financially support her because she discouraged his dream of being a filmmaker growing up.

“Regarding my son Quentin — I support him, I’m proud of him and love him and his growing new family,” Zastoupil said in a statement. “It gave me great joy to dance at his wedding and receive his news upon the birth of my grandson Leo.”

She also addressed the media, asking for outlets to not “spin” the story to “go viral.” Zastoupil continued to say that she does “not wish to participate in this salacious transactional media frenzy.”

Tarantino explained his decision-making during a recent interview on The Moment with Brian Koppelman.

“My mom always had a hard time about my scholastic non-abilities,” said the director. “She was b****ing at me about something or other about that and in the middle of her little tirade, she said, ‘Oh, and by the way, this little ‘writing career’ — with the finger quotes and everything — this little ‘writing career’ that you’re doing? That s*** is over.'”

Tarantino continued: “When she said that to me in that sarcastic way, I go, ‘Okay, lady, when I become a successful writer, you will never see penny one from my success. ‘There will be no house for you. There’s no vacation for you, no Elvis Cadillac for mommy. You get nothing because you said that.’ I helped her out of a jam with the IRS, but no house. No Cadillac, no house.”

He explained that “There are consequences for your words as you deal with your children. Remember there are consequences for your sarcastic tone about what’s meaningful to them.”

Tarantino is widely considered one of the best filmmakers of all time having directed classics such as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Django Unchained, and more.

D Smoke Makes Aggressive Return With “Shame On You”

California rapper D Smoke has been capitalizing off of his “Best Rap Album” Grammy nomination in 2020 for the better part of a year now, using the newfound success to establish new collaborations in the industry and expand his musical horizons. With around 15 years under his belt in the rap game, D Smoke’s isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel with his particular sound, but instead find a balance between lyrical depth and high energy like some of his contemporaries. This style manifests perfectly in his new release, “Shame On You.”

Backed by a simple beat that mixes dark piano sounds with a classic drum pattern, D Smoke truly sets himself apart from the competition with constant flow changes and stand-out lyrics. The hook, which finds D Smoke talking down on his haters while flexing and emphasizing his work ethic, is immediately catchy and almost manifests as an anthem. Every verse seems different as the rapper’s floes become more and more eccentric.

Check out the track below and let us know what you think:

3 times for N***** that break wrong rules
1 time for n***** to pay those dues

Is It Too Soon For Zion Williamson To Give Up On The Pelicans?

For years now, the New Orleans Pelicans have been what some fans would call a “Poverty Franchise.” The exact definition of “Poverty Franchise” varies depending on who you ask, but the general idea remains the same. Franchises that have experienced very little success throughout their history typically fit the description. The Pelicans could certainly be considered a “Poverty Franchise” when you realize that the team has undergone various ownership changes over the years, including a few seasons where the squad was run by the NBA itself. Not to mention, between 2005 and 2007, the team split time between New Orleans and Oklahoma City, which was unprecedented at the time. Ever since joining the NBA in 2002, the Pelicans have struggled to be consistent playoff contenders, and they have a bad history when it comes to retaining their superstars. From Chris Paul to Anthony Davis, it’s almost an inevitability that their best players are going to leave them due to a lack of success.

Back in 2019, the Pelicans had just given up on DeMarcus Cousins, and they had done the same thing with Rajon Rondo. These players were perfect complementary pieces for Davis, however, they failed to keep them on board. This led to a bitter falling out between Davis and the franchise which was a devastating blow for hardcore fans of the team. Eventually, the Pelicans traded Davis to the Lakers in exchange for players like Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, and Brandon Ingram. While this trade helped bring pieces to the Pelicans, there was still a lot of pessimism surrounding the team as they didn’t have a bonafide superstar. Every single team needs one, and the Pelicans desperately needed to fill that hole.

Zion Williamson

Thankfully, the Pelicans quite literally won the lottery that summer as they were awarded the first overall pick in the NBA Entry Draft. With this pick, the Pelicans took Zion Williamson, who was heavily touted as one of the best prospects since LeBron James. Of course, this is pretty well impossible to live up to, however, if anyone was going to bring in ticket sales, it was going to be Zion. Despite being injured for the first half of his rookie season, Zion made a huge impact on the team once he hit the court. His massive dunks and otherworldly blocks had fans around the league in awe, and his play made the Pelicans a must-watch team on a nightly basis. Eventually, Zion and his teammates went to the NBA bubble that year, where they missed the playoffs.

This past season, there was newfound optimism surrounding the Pelicans as they were bringing back all of their young stars, while also adding Stan Van Gundy as their head coach. Fans around the league felt as though the Pelicans were at least good enough to be a playoff team, and at the worst, they would make the play-in round. In the end, none of those things happened as the Pelicans were way too inconsistent. While Williamson continued to display superstar potential alongside Lonzo Ball, the rest of the team was marginal at best, and it forced the Pelicans into the abyss of the Western Conference. After just one season, Van Gundy was let go as head coach of the team, while reports surfaced that Zion’s family was losing hope in the Pelicans’ ability to turn things around.

Heading into this offseason’s free agency period, Pelicans fans were hopeful that the team would make the right decisions and surround Zion with the best players possible. After all, the Pelicans need Williamson to remain relevant, and if they don’t surround him with the proper talent, then it’s likely he’ll just walk once his rookie contract is up. At first, the belief was that the Pelicans would make a big play for Kyle Lowry. In the end, that didn’t work out as Lowry went to the Miami Heat. From there, the Pelicans tried to retain Lonzo Ball although they lost him to the Chicago Bulls. After two swings and a miss, the Pelicans went out and got themselves Devonte Graham who wasn’t exactly the best option available. Sure, Graham is a fine point guard, but he doesn’t move the needle enough to make the Pelicans a playoff team. Simply put, the Pelicans didn’t get better this year, and arguably, they got a bit worse.

With the Pelicans headed in reverse, it’s about time we ask the question: is it too early for Zion to give up on the Pelicans? Well, to answer that question one just needs to look at the history of the Pelicans, which was outlined earlier. The franchise simply does not have a history of winning, and with the team’s most recent moves in mind, it is quite clear that winning is just not in the cards for this team. If Zion’s main goal is to pad his stats, then, by all means, New Orleans is the place to do that. If he wants to win, however, then he might want to follow in the footsteps of Anthony Daivs, who won a title immediately after ditching the Pelicans.

Zion Williamson

Over the years, players like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, and various others have taught us a very valuable lesson. That lesson is that it is simply not worth wasting your youth on a team that has no interest in winning. LeBron gave the Cleveland Cavaliers seven years of his life from 2003 and 2010, and not once did the team surround him with a superstar. The Pelicans have a potential face of the league on their roster right now, and they can’t seem to attract anyone else to play with him. If you’re Zion, this reality is simply unacceptable and it would be a true waste of his potential if he just sat around and accepted it.

It’s unfortunate to say but until the Pelicans figure this out, they will continue to be among the dreaded “Poverty Franchises” of the NBA.
