DaBaby Speaks On His Cancelation At Summer Jam & Calls Haters “Cry Babies”

DaBaby addressed the response to his homophobic rant at Rolling Loud, during his performance at Summer Jam, Sunday. After thanking Hot 97 and apologizing in a pre-taped video, the rapper called his haters “cry babies.”

“[Hot 97] allowed me to share my gift, share my blessing with y’all out here live on this stage amongst all the chaos and all the backlash,” DaBaby said in the video. “So hats off to y’all for that… They accepted my sincerity and all my apologies when I said I never, ever meant to offend anybody or say anything to make anybody feel any type of way live on that stage a few weeks ago. And Hot 97 was also willing to stick they neck out on the line, willing to go against all odds with everything going on out here in the world, and still allow me to come out here on this stage and utilize they platform to help the world move forward.”

Webbie Carried Out Of VA Club After Suffering Medical Emergency On Stage

Louisiana rapper Webbie had to be carried out of a club in Roanoke, VA, Friday night, after appearing to suffer an undisclosed medical emergency on stage. TMZ reports that a representative for Webbie says he has since been cleared to leave the hospital.

The rep. did confirm that it was not a seizure as was rumored. The performance took place at 213 Lux Lounge.

Webbie has been silent on social media since the incident went down, but he is reportedly doing much better.

Earlier this year, another Webbie concert took a dark turn when a shooting in the parking lot left one dead and one injured. An argument reportedly erupted between two groups outside and escalated into an exchange of gunfire.

“There were several parties shooting at each other across the parking lot,” spokesperson Trooper Thomas Gossen said at the time. “There was an active shooting going on before the officer basically engaged them. The whole parking lot is a crime scene.”

Webbie’s last project, Savage Life 6, was released back in October 2020.

Fans can catch Webbie at Boosie’s Boosie Bash 3, next weekend, along with several other popular rappers, including DaBaby. The Blame It on Baby rapper was not kicked off the setlist despite his recent controversial comments.

Drakeo The Ruler Arrested After Uber Driver Pulled Over For Tinted Windows

Drakeo the Ruler was arrested during an Uber ride, in which his driver was pulled over for having tinted windows, Sunday. He recorded the interaction on Instagram Live.

Jeff Weiss detailed the incident on Twitter, postulating that it was an ambush by police: “The LAPD pulled him over for riding in the back of an Uber with tinted windows. He was with his son. A set up if I’ve ever heard of one. Who ever heard of someone get pulled over on a Sunday morning at 11 a.m. with their toddler son, while riding in the back of an Uber, WHOSE ONLY VISIBLE CRIME WAS HAVING TINTED WINDOWS? It would be ridiculous if it wasn’t so glaringly sinister.”

He also theorized that police have been following Drakeo’s every move.

Back in 2020, the rapper took a plea deal that saw him finally released after serving three years in prison. He had been serving time for murder charges which were dropped; however, a judge refiled for charges of criminal gang conspiracy and shooting from a motor vehicle, meaning he would have to wait behind bars until his trial.

Saturday, Drakeo released his new diss track, “IngleWEIRD.”

T.I. Defends Lizzo After Being Body-Shamed: “F*ck Them People”

T.I. showed his support for Lizzo in a recent Instagram story after the “Good as Hell” singer received hateful, body-shaming messages online.

“My message to Lizzo. I don’t know Lizzo personally. Listen, sweetheart, you are beautiful, you are talented, you are good enough for all the great things the world has to offer, don’t wait on nobody out there in the public to validate that,” Tip said, showing his support for her. “Their perception of you has more to do with them than it does with you. All these people who out here who have negative things to say it’s because they feel negatively about themselves.”

Earlier this month, Lizzo released “Rumors” with Cardi B and the video was flooded with trolls posting racist messages and body shaming Lizzo.

“Them speaking negatively about you, or me or everybody else bruh, that has more to do with them than it does to do with you,” T.I. said. “Please don’t wait on them to give you the ok to be happy, please don’t wait on them to give you the OK to be satisfied about yourself, your accomplishments, your achievements.”

“Fuck them people. Fuck what people say,” he continued. “They should have no jurisdiction or no hold on your life.”

A number of other celebs have come to Lizzo’s defense as well, including Offset, Chris Evans, and more.
