Post Malone Was ‘Probably On The Sh*tter’ When He Wrote His Roddy Ricch Collab ‘Cooped Up’

After offering a brief teaser of his Roddy Ricch collaboration “Cooped Up” in April, Post Malone released the track today. As for the circumstances behind how “Cooped Up” came to be, it’s possible a toilet may have been involved.

While telling Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about how the song came together, Malone said, “The lyrics just came so quickly. We knew what we wanted to say and we knew what we wanted to express, not only in the song but in that particular moment on the album. And yeah, it just came super naturally. I couldn’t even tell you. I was probably on the sh*tter when I wrote it [laughs].”

He also spoke about his upcoming album Twelve Carat Toothache, saying, “That’s what the whole record is about: It’s the bipolar aspect and the duality of everything. And so, there’s a lot of things very much so on this record that are tongue in cheek. And I think this whole record is the most honest record I’ve made, and I’m so pumped for people to hear it. But every song in there tells a story, so this is kind of like, ‘Here’s the life that we live, but there’s always something going on in the background.’”

Roddy Ricch is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Ja Morant Had A Strong Message For The Grizzlies After Blowout Win

Last night, no one was giving the Memphis Grizzlies much of a chance to win. They were without Ja Morant and if they lost, they would be out of the playoffs. It was a pretty massive game for this team, and the Warriors are most definitely a difficult opponent to go up against. In the end, however, the Grizzlies destroyed the Warriors by a whopping 39 points.

Throughout the entire evening, the Warriors were absolutely abysmal as they shot the ball poorly all while playing some of their worst defense of the entire year. It was a game that fans were simply not expecting, and now, they Warriors have allowed the Grizzlies to claw back and force a Game 6 that is going to be filled with pressure for the Dubs.

After the game, Ja Morant was thrilled about what went down as he said “”Grizz in 7! Grizz in 7!” It was a strong message to send to his teammates especially since he probably won’t get to play for this team for the rest of the postseason as he is out with a bone bruise. Either way, this was a huge win for the Grizzlies and it could very well create some momentum.

LeBron James Has A Key Piece Of Wisdom For Future Draft Picks

LeBron James is one of the best players to ever step on an NBA court, so it can be said that he knows a thing or two about the game of basketball. LeBron is someone who has no problems when it comes to imparting wisdom on some of the youngest and brightest stars in the league, and he is also a big advocate for those who have yet to be drafted.

For instance, LeBron was on Twitter today, where he commented on some advice that his agent Rich Paul game Tyrese Maxey. As you can see, Paul said “It’s always Fit over Pick!! Why be in position for now , when you can be in position forever , through opportunity!!! No matter what pick you are drafted , it’s the starting point , not the finish.”

LeBron felt like this was the perfect advice for young stars, and he echoed those sentiments with some words of his own. In the post below, LeBron states “Simply doesn’t get talked about enough! It’s beyond TRUE!!!! Seeing and Picking up bad habits from the moment you’re drafted can derail your career forever!”

There are plenty of incredible players who never make it in the league because of poor circumstances out of the gate. Having said that, LeBron understands how important it is to have that right fit. It worked out for him in Cleveland, and it seems to be working out great for Maxey over in Philadelphia.
