JAY-Z And Beyonce Look Thrilled As The Isley Brothers Serenade Them At Fanatics Event

JAY-Z and Beyonce were both in attendance at the grand opening of a new Fanatics Sportsbook location on the Atlantic City boardwalk in New Jersey on Sunday. In a viral clip from the ceremony on social media, they can be seen celebrating while The Isley Brothers perform right in front of them. When The Shade Room shared the video on Instagram, fans noted how unbothered they seemed amid the criticism of JAY-Z’s decision to platform Kendrick Lamar at Super Bowl LIX instead of Lil Wayne.

“The Carters don’t be caring wth y’all be saying about them! They be ignoring y’all like a fly in the wall! Y’all be talking to yourself!” one user wrote. Another added: “The way the black community have this strong hate towards them is why we will never see someone in jays shoes again!” Others continued arguing about the Super Bowl decision amongst themselves.

Fans have been arguing that Lil Wayne should get to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show, considering the game is being held in his hometown of New Orleans. Jay explained the decision in a statement at the time of the announcement. “Kendrick Lamar is truly a once-in-a-generation artist and performer,” he said. “His deep love for Hip-Hop and culture informs his artistic vision. He has an unparalleled ability to define and influence culture globally. Kendrick’s work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come.”

Snoop Dogg’s Wife, Shante Broadus, Is Opening A Strip Club In LA

Snoop Dogg never misses an opportunity to expand his empire with new non-music endeavors, and evidently, neither does his wife Shante Broadus. Earlier this week, the rapper took to Instagram to announce that his other half is opening a new strip club in downtown LA, The Players Club. Reportedly, she’ll be hosting a private grand opening event tonight, which will be packed with several of their celebrity peers.

According to a source who spoke with TMZ, they’ll be joined by the likes of Tiffany Haddish, Cedric The Entertainer, Too $hort, Big Boy, and more. Reportedly, DJ Drama and DJ Sky High Baby will DJ the event. Snoop’s announcement arrived alongside some NSFW footage of the dancers’ auditions, giving clubgoers an idea of what they can expect.

Shante Broadus To Host The Players Club Grand Opening

“I am thrilled to introduce The Players Club to Los Angeles,” Broadus says of her latest venture. “This club is more than just a venue; it’s a celebration of empowerment, beauty, and entrepreneurship, providing a space where everyone can feel like a boss.” According to a press release, The Players Club is the “newest and most exclusive” source of adult entertainment in the area, and is also “poised to redefine luxury and liberation in the city’s nightlife scene.” Fans in his comments section are praising Broadus for her creativity and commitment to making a splash.

Broadus isn’t the only one getting creative when it comes to raking in cash, however. Earlier this month, Snoop teamed up with DJ Skee to auction off various pieces of memorabilia. Chains, scripts, clothes, and more were a part of the auction. An authenticated roach preserved in resin is even being auctioned off, and the current highest bid is nearly $2K. What do you think of Snoop Dogg’s wife, Shante Broadus, opening up a new strip club in LA? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

The Grand Opening Of ‘TRANSPARENT’ By Vance DNA At Miami’s Museum of Graffiti Coming In September

The Museum of Graffiti proudly announces the VIP Grand Opening Celebration of “TRANSPARENT” – a solo exhibition by the visionary Shanghai-based artist and Chinese painter, Vance DNA. This new body of work promises to offer a fresh perspective on style, straight from Shanghai. The opening is set for September 9, 2023, from 6PM – 9PM.

Born in Juangsu, China in 1990, Vance DNA’s artistic journey began early with landscape painting lessons at the age of ten. As a teenager, his love for American rap music and break dancing flourished when he discovered hip hop. At 14, inspired by his experience as a b-boy and a pivotal Wu Tang CD adorned with intricate graffiti art, he ventured into the world of graffiti. Merging his traditional painting lessons with contemporary influences, Vance developed a unique approach, creating large-scale hyper-realistic murals and oil paintings. His works showcase a rich blend of light and shadow, Western animation, and a fascination with materials like glass and ice. All these elements culminate in art that nostalgically celebrates his youth, backed by a lifetime of honed skill and discipline.

With “TRANSPARENT”, Vance DNA brings to life transparent figures that convey a poignant message: the urge for authenticity and the call to embrace the true reflection one wishes to see. This exhibition is a testament to his multi-faceted talents, blending pop-culture, fine art techniques, and an unmatched attention to detail.

Vance DNA is not only the only member of the world-famous graffiti crew DNA in Asia but also a proud member of Thailand’s MSV crew. His global recognition is evident as he has showcased his art and painted murals in numerous countries including the US, Thailand, Philippines, Bulgaria, Japan, Macau, South Korea, Indonesia, Mauritius, Germany, and Australia over the past decade.

“We are immensely pleased to host Vance DNA and showcase his innovative and evocative art,” says Alan Ket, co-founder of the Museum of Graffiti. “His creations go beyond artistry, striking a chord with the very essence of human authenticity and introspection.”

Grand Opening Of Museum Of Graffiti’s Latest Exhibition “All Black Everything” Slated For June 2

Screen Shot 2023 05 18 at 10.21.19 AM

Museum of Graffiti, the world’s first Museum dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of graffiti art, is announcing today the opening of the first exclusively African American graffiti exhibition. Opening on June 2nd, 2023, the exhibition entitled “All Black Everything,” celebrates the contribution and art of multi-generational graffiti artists from the African diaspora. To celebrate the opening, the Museum will host a panel discussion with artists featured in the exhibit including graffiti pioneer Richard “Bama” Admiral.  The discussion will be the first of many “Fighting Spirit Stories” told throughout the summer as part of Modelo’s Summer Culture Series at Museum of Graffiti.

Guests can expect to see the work of famed African American artists Bama, Blade, Daze, Delta2, Dondi White, Esteme, Ewok, Kool Koor, Noc167, Quik (Lin Felton), Skeme, Sneke, VFR, and Wane One alongside vintage sketchbooks and ephemera showcasing the early artistry of the influential and elusive Web One. Original graffiti paintings on canvas and works on paper from the past 40 years will also be available for purchase within the exhibit.

“In the 1970s, the Bronx was burning due to economic turmoil and crime. It is no wonder that the imaginations of the African American artists living in these neighborhoods propelled them beyond their surroundings into a world of fantasy and hope. This is what you will see in the paintings by Kool Koor, BAMA, and Delta2,” said Allison Freidin, co-Founder, Museum of Graffiti.

Modelo’s Summer Culture Series will include special museum programming and classes on the first Friday of each month, beginning June 2nd, and will touch on all generations of black and brown graffiti artists. Opening night admission will be limited to guests 21+ for the first look at the exhibit with complimentary beverages courtesy of Modelo.

“Many people around the world are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop by placing an exclusive emphasis on the music. However, hip hop is a movement with great cultural contributors across many creative disciplines, including graffiti. From Bama in the North Bronx who participated in the first graffiti exhibition in 1973 to Harlem’s cultural icon Skeme to Wane One who for the past 30 years has been traveling around the world teaching his unique lettering style to disciples around the globe. There is no better time to celebrate their genius than now,” said Alan Ket, curator and co-Founder of the Museum of Graffiti.

Ongoing support for the museum’s Hip Hop programming is provided by IMLS.
