Tyler The Creator Introduces New Golf Le Fleur Nail Polish Colors
Last December, just before the end of the year, Tyler The Creator announced the addition of nail polish to his growing Golf Le Fleur collection. Initially, the nail polish dropped in three colors inspired by the palettes of the rollout for Tyler’s album Call Me If You Get Lost: Georgia Peach, Geneva Blue, and Glitter. By all accounts, the drop was a success, and Tyler, never one to rest on his laurels, has already announced a new slate of colors along with some slick nail care accessories to go with them.
Tyler announced the new colors with a hypersaturated short film directed by Tyler (naturally) following a hilarious confrontation between a put-upon police officer and a (presumably) reckless driver who refuses to look for her license and registration until her nails dry. The new colors include Blonde, Jade, and Rose, and as usual, you can grab them on the Golf Le Fleur website. The site also offers nail top coats in glossy and matte and a metal nail file with a fancy-looking tortoiseshell-patterned handle.
Earlier this month, Tyler introduced his GLF 2.0 sneakers with Converse, selling out the entire run within minutes. Meanwhile, his new Golf Wang collection bringing back the baggy look of the 2000s also sold out rapidly, which is sure to only feed the demand for the next drop from the dapper Hawthorne native. Tyler The Creator’s Latest Golf Le Fleur Converse Are Out Now — And They Look Amazing
The partnership between Tyler The Creator and Converse has proven to be quite fruitful. In addition to the Golf Wang Chucks that sold out nearly instantly the day they dropped — and the customizable re-release from earlier this year — as well as the hilarious “Really Cool Converse Club” commercial that Tyler directed, the partnership has now spawned an entirely new shoe, the GLF 2.0, designed by Tyler. Rather than being an athletic shoe like the ones borne from other artist/brand collaborations, it’s a casual sneaker that’ll likely look just as good dressed up and dressed down.
There are currently two colorways of the new sneaker: Oil Green and Bison, and Curry and Copper Tan. The upper is canvas and suede, with fat laces, and a classic overall silhouette that gives off the same retro vibe Tyler’s been embracing since his Flower Boy era. They’re priced at just $110 and odds are, they’ll be gone before the day is out, but you can still try your luck at Converse.com. There’s almost no way there’s not a restock at some point.
Tyler’s Golf Le Fleur label has flourished this year, with the immensely busy rapper-producer-designer introducing both a line of nail polish and a line of luggage, which he introduced with a cheeky short film.
Tyler The Creator Introduces His New Golf Le Fleur Luggage With The Cheeky ‘Globetrotter’ Short Film
Tyler The Creator doesn’t call himself “Bellhop” for nothing. His fascination with bags and luggage has been at the forefront of his Call Me If You Get Lost rollout. However, while he loves to show off his designer trunks — just check out the video for “Lumberjack” to see an example — from this point forward it seems likely that those trunks will include some from his own brand, Golf Le Fleur.
After introducing a line of nail polish — also something he showcased during the rollout — and a fragrance — maybe someone who’s spent some time in his proximity can confirm if this one was part of the album promotion — Tyler has unveiled the latest Golf product and in all honesty, it really might be his best to date. The Golf bags come in three sizes: the 9″ London Square handbag ($1,395), the 14″ Mini Attache ($1,695), and the 20″ Trolley trunk ($2,095). All are made from Vulcanized Fibreboard with leather corners and handles featuring neutral colors with Golf’s signature pops of pastel. They are kind of gorgeous.
In typical Tyler fashion, he introduced the new products with yet another self-directed short film titled “Globetrotter.” It’s semi-inspired by French New Wave cinema and has a quirky, tongue-in-cheek plotline that gives his bag a goofy origin story that seems like a bit of a satirical, daydream-y nod to his own absentee pops.
In addition to the bags themselves, the latest drop also includes stickers, a luggage tag, and a leather passport case. All are also luxury prices but then again, they also come in luxury quality. You can check out the full drop here.
Tyler The Creator Adds Nail Polish To His Growing Golf Le Fleur Collection
Tyler The Creator’s fashion-forward Golf Le Fleur line has recently expanded its offerings, adding a fragrance in addition to the usual assortment of apparel designed or inspired by the multitalented entertainer. That growth continues this week with the inclusion of nail polish, which will come in three colors: Georgia Peach, Geneva Blue, and Glitter. Tyler has been seen throughout the rollout of his new album Call Me If You Get Lost wearing the blue shade, which is being offered along with the others for $20 at the Golf Le Fleur website.
Tyler’s French Waltz fragrance, which was announced just last week, was crafted in collaboration with CPL Aromas. Tyler accompanied the announcement with a short film (in French!), putting his own unique spin on those dramatic fragrance ads, saturating the usually somber tones with bright sunlight and pops of pastel. Tyler showed off his one-of-a-kind vision in another ad — this one for his Converse collaboration — earlier this year, putting NBA legend Bill Walton in a hilarious Chuck Taylor club with the likes of Don Cheadle, Henry Rollins, and Vince Staples.
With the release of the new Golf collection — just in time for the holidays! — Tyler caps a year that saw him live out some of his biggest rap dreams (working with DJ Drama, appearing on BET) and elevate his brand to new heights. We can’t wait to see what he does next.
