“Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” Multiplayer Trailer Features Eminem Needle Drop

The new Call of Duty game is a month away and Activision made sure to hype the game’s multiplayer feature with an Eminem needle drop. The Detroit rapper’s 2002 hit “Till I Collapse” can be heard over a cinematic trailer showcasing the ultra-cinematic violence of the game’s multiplayer mode. Furthermore, the trailer also confirms the news that a host of iconic maps from the original Modern Warfare trilogy will be returning for this new Modern Warfare 3. It’s not the rapper’s first Call Of Duty collab. Back in 2013, he released the track Survival for Call Of Duty: Ghosts.

While old maps and fan-favorite modes are returning, Activision is trying a few new things with Modern Warfare III. One of the biggest additions will be Cutthroat, a 3v3v3 mode that is briefly featured and highlighted in the trailer. The new features will likely be highlighted in more detail at the October 5 multiplayer preview event. Meanwhile, the game will be released on November 10. Activision has previously confirmed that cosmetics and other purchases from Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 will carry over to the new game.

Pusha T Scores Call Of Duty Campaign Trailer

However, Eminem is not the only rapper whose music Activision has utilized. The devs also used Pusha T for an August trailer promoting the game’s campaign. The teaser follows big bad Makarov being escorted through prison to receive a new tattoo. Meanwhile, Soap gives one of his usual sonorous monologues about stopping evil. This is overlaid with footage of some of the game’s more iconic moments – a terror attack in London, Makarov bringing down a plane carrying the President of Russia.

A majority of the trailer is scored to Colonel Bagshot’s 1971 single “Six Day War”. However, right at the end, as Makarov looks to the camera, there is an amazing Pusha T needle drop. Pusha sampled “Six Day War” on “Just So You Remember” last year and it’s that intense line (My Joker smile, you know who the villain is/Just so you remember who you dealin’ with…) that hear right at the end of the video. Furthermore, Pusha shared the video to his Instagram with the lyrics in the caption.

Lexie Brown Calls Out “NBA 2k24” Over WNBA Face Scans

LA Sparks guard Lexie Brown put NBA 2k24 on blast this week. We’ve [the WNBA] been in 2k the last two or three times 2ks and everything has been fine. We’ve gotten face scans, they’ve made us look okay, yadda yadda yadda. But for whatever reason, this year they said ‘fuck the WNBA’. Just look at my player. Just leave us out the game if y’all don’t wanna even try,” Brown said in a video. She also showed off her in-game model, which looks nothing like her and more like a Black female Gollum.

The WNBA was first added as a playable league in 2k21, where users could play a single season. In subsequent versions, the WNBA was given more parity to the WNBA, with users able to play multiple seasons. However, the complaints about WNBA face scans are sadly nothing new. When the W was first added to the game, fans complained about numerous players looking absolutely nothing like they did in real life. The game has definitely improved over the years. However, it’s sad to hear that some of the players involved feel that the game has regressed in this year.

WNBA Playoffs In Full Swing

While Brown has the time to lash out at lazy game devs as the Sparks ended the season 17-23, the WNBA playoffs are in full swing. The Las Vegas Aces booked a return trip to the WNBA Finals after sweeping the Dallas Wings 3-0. Meanwhile, the New York Liberty leads the Connecticut Sun 2-1 in the other semifinal. The Aces are the defending champions after earning their first title last year.

Heading into the season, the expected Finals matchup was Aces-Liberty. The Aces were a stacked title defender while the Liberty spent the offseason building a superteam. The New York franchise added Breanna Stewart, who went on to win MVP for the second time, Courtney Vandersloot, and Jonquel Jones to their roster. The two teams split their four regular season matchups 2-2.

Is The Xbox Series S Worth Getting?

The gaming world has seen a plethora of consoles, each promising a unique experience. Among these, the Xbox Series S has emerged as a notable contender. But the question remains: is it worth your hard-earned money? Let’s delve into the details.

The Xbox Series S stands out primarily because of its price. Priced at a recommended retail of $299.99, it’s undeniably the most budget-friendly next-gen console available. When you compare it to its sibling, the Xbox Series X, which is priced at a hefty $500, or the PS5, which can sometimes exceed $500, the Series S offers a tempting proposition.

Compact Design And Digital-Only Gaming

Xbox Series S next to XBox Series X

Another striking feature of the Xbox Series S is its design. Touted as the smallest Xbox ever, it boasts a disc-less structure. This means all games for this console are digital-only. Its compactness isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s also practical. If you’re someone who’s always on the move or has limited space, the Series S is a dream come true. It’s not just about saving money; it’s also about saving space.

Performance And Specifications

Now, let’s talk about the heart of any gaming console: its performance. While the Series S comes at a lower price, it doesn’t skimp on the gaming experience. It can play all the games that the more expensive Xbox Series X can. Although its specifications might seem a tad less powerful, supporting only 1440p resolution with 4K upscaling, it’s essential to note that it houses the same 3.6GHz CPU as the Xbox Series X. This is quite an achievement for its price range. Additionally, it features a 4 teraflop GPU and 10GB of RAM. So, while you might compromise a bit on storage, you’re still getting a console that offers super-fast loading times.

Considering the current gaming landscape, the Xbox Series S presents itself as a viable option, especially for those who are keen on entering the next-gen gaming realm without burning a hole in their pockets. Its compact design, combined with its performance, makes it an attractive choice for many.

In Conclusion

The Xbox Series S, with its affordable price tag and commendable performance, certainly offers value for money. If you’re looking for a next-gen gaming experience without the hefty price tag, this might just be the console for you. However, as with any tech purchase, it’s essential to weigh its features against your personal gaming preferences and needs.

TSM Sells LCS Slot To Shopify Rebellion

TSM, one of the oldest esports orgs in North America, has officially left the League of Legends scene. The organization confirmed today (September 20) that they had sold their place in the LCS to Shopify Rebellion. It is believed that TSM is looking to join another Tier 1 league such as China or South Korea. However, the departure of TSM ends a 12-year tenure in the North American scene.

“The acquisition of our LCS slot is a milestone moment for TSM and the entire esports community, especially by a team that shares our passion for excellence and growth. With the relentless pursuit of victory that has defined TSM, and the innovative spirit of Shopify Rebellion, we believe this move will ignite fresh success and further elevate the competitive landscape of esports. And thank you to Riot for their exceptional partnership in this process,” TSM CEO Andy Dinh said in a statement.

Shopify Rebellion Join The LCS

Shopify Rebellion, which is owned by the e-commerce platform, already has several esports ventures. Since 2021, they have fielded teams in VALORANT, StarCraft, Dota 2, Halo, Street Fighter 6, and Rocket League. “Entering League of Legends – one of the largest esports titles, with a rich competitive history – felt like an obvious next step for us as we continue to grow our presence in esports. We’re excited to work with the former TSM roster and for them to compete in the LCS under the Shopify Rebellion banner,” said Shopify’s esports program development lead Dario Wünsch.

However, will that be the only change this offseason? According to League of Legends content creator Daniel “dGon” Gonzales, the North American LCS could see a bona fide exodus this offseason. Speaking on the Facecheck podcast, Gonzales claimed that an unnamed LCS team had already sold their franchise slot in the league and would be leaving before the start of the next split. However, at the time of writing, no further details about this mystery team have been revealed. North American free agency will begin in late November, after Worlds 2023 has concluded.
