Moreover, fans are anticipating his brand-new album, which will hopefully come out very soon. Overall, things are going exceptionally well for him, and it is great to see. His improvement since when he came onto the scene in 2016 has been palpable, and it will be fun to see what he gives us next.

Throughout the past couple of months, there have been all sorts of rumors about 21 and his alleged involvement with Call of Duty. A leaker claimed that the artist would be getting his very own operator skin. This means players would actually get to play as 21 Savage. It is a cool prospect, especially with Nicki Minaj getting her own character as well. In fact, the Nicki skin has already gotten a ton of praise from fans online. On Monday, Call of Duty finally made 21’s involvement with the game, official.

The new 21 Savage operator is reportedly going to be released on August 30th. That means you will be able to experience 21 in the game as of tomorrow. The duo had their son Onyx back in 2020, and broke things off only a few months later. In this depiction, however, Playboi Carti is seen vying for the attention of his lost love. TikTok user @kingcarti1629 shared the video yesterday, and it’s now managed to get the attention of over 45K viewers.

In the TikTok, Iggy Azalea’s character is shown holding their son, as Playboi Carti tells her that he wants her back. She tells him “no,” claiming that the rapper was never there for her or their child. He’s left despondent, walking away to sit alone at a diner, and lie solemnly in a lake. “Will Carti ever drop???” a message on a billboard reads just before the video ends. It’s been nearly three years since the rapper released an album, and it appears as though this user felt it was important to the storyline.

Luckily for fans, it looks like Playboi Carti could be dropping new music sometime in the near future. Last week, DJ Scheme shared a snippet of one of the rapper’s unreleased tracks, and it got users thinking he’s on the verge of a new album. As he waited for his channel to finally hit 20 million, some of his supporters decided to start unsubscribing in order to troll the streamer. Luckily, he was eventually able to reach the coveted subscriber count, and chose to celebrate in a pretty unconventional way. He got up from his desk and climbed up onto a dresser that was situated against the wall behind him, delivering a dramatic message to his viewers.

“Goodbye chat,” he began, while standing on top of the dresser. “This is what y’all wanted. Never again. Remember – live to the fullest. Live to the greatest. You will be the one. Nobody loves you like how they did. That’s 20 million right there. And, that’s what I’m talking about. This is what we do. We presume and keep going. And, I love y’all boys.” He then shouts a couple of times as confetti is shot into the air, before taking a dive into his gaming setup.

The stream then freezes on an image of the 22-year-old mid-jump for a few seconds. The webcam eventually cuts out, and the streamer is heard making some crying sounds. Someone then asks him if he’s okay, and when he doesn’t respond claims they’re going to call 911 before the stream ultimately ends. Though the jump was probably pretty painful, he appeared to be joking about actually being seriously injured, and is likely doing alright.

The milestone comes shortly after IShowSpeed made headlines earlier this month for accidentally exposing himself during a livestream. The incident was a clear breach of YouTube’s terms of service. Luckily, he was able to avoid being banned on the platform. He later addressed the incident, calling it “embarrassing” and revealing that it’s had a negative impact on his mental health. “At the end of the day, I’m still a human being, bro,” he told his audience. Esports Team To Hold “Street Fighter 6” Tournament In Literal Sauna

David Beckham’s esports org Guild Esports is taking a novel approach to rounding out their Street Fighter 6 roster. Cammy main JoKeR JoKeZ, Ken main Takamura, and Chun-Li main Vegapatch are already signed with Guild. However, the org has designed to host a unique tournament to determine their fourth and final SF6 star. An incredibly lucrative scene is already forming for the newly released game. As well as a wealth of Tier I and II tournaments in the coming months, it was the headline event at Evo 2023 earlier this month.

But back to Guild Esports. Next week (August 31), Guild will be hosting a special tournament to determine who gets their final roster spot. Per a press release, eight players have been invited to take part in “The Sweat Box”, which will be broadcast on the YouTube channel of Sky Sports. However, “The Sweat Box” is much more than a cutesy name. Instead, it’s a very accurate description of the playing conditions for the tournament.

“The Sweat Box” Is An SF6 Tournament In A Literal Sauna

“The Sweat Box” will be held in a climate-controlled environment at Guild’s headquarters in London. However, more specifically, that climate will be maintained at a toasty 150°F. That’s equivalent to the low end of a standard sauna. Additionally, the tournament will feature beloved community casters Tyrant, Damascus, and F-Word. However, players will have to contend with the heat or get out of the kitchen. It is certainly one of the more unique tournament ideas in recent memory.

While the eight players selected for “The Sweat Box” have not been named, the winner amongst them will earn Guild’s final pro contract for the game. Whoever it ends up being will join a fairly strong stable of players. JoKeR JoKeZ finished third at the Brussels Major earlier this year. Takamura recently earned a top-12 finish at Gamers8. Meanwhile, VegaPatch recently won the WorldWarrior Spain and Portugal event. It’s a team with a high ceiling, especially as the scene solidifies and metas begin to emerge.

August 24 marked the release of the Nicki Minaj bundle in Call of Duty. For $20/2400 CoD Points, you could play as the Trini rapper in all her badass pink glory. The bundle comes with the Nicki skin, themed weapon blueprints (“The Baddest” and “Super Freaky”), a pin-up loading screen, and a skin for the Hummer. Nicki also has access to several unique finishers, including “Get Bodied”. In the brutal move, Nicki jumps onto the back of a downed opponent and grinds her stilettos in their skull. The bundle is currently available for Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0. Furthermore, it will carry over into Modern Warfare III when it drops in November.

The release was announced with a new gameplay trailer that perfectly blended a look at the operator in action with several well-chosen Nicki references. The base skin comes with a pink outfit and matching weapons skins. Skins based on Snoop Dogg and 21 Savage were also released as part of a wider celebration of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary.

Nicki became available for purchase on August 24. Her bundle costs 2400 CoD points, or $19.99. While hype was already pretty high for the release, the devs went on step further by dropping another trailer to promote that the fact that Nicki can be yours to own in-game.

PlayStation Looks To Enter Portable Games Market

Now you may be thinking – didn’t PlayStation have a console many years ago? Yes, they did. It was totally not confusingly called the PlayStation Portable or PSP. That console launched in 2004 and was supported by PlayStation until they closed the PSP store in 2016. This new console, also referred to as the PSP, is more in line with the Remote Play consoles produced by Valve and Nintendo. According to the press statement, the console will retail for $199.99. However, has PlayStation waited too long to enter this market?

Industry experts believe that the SteamDeck will sell over 3 million units by the end of 2023. Meanwhile, Nintendo has sold over 129 million Switches as of the end of June 2023. The Switch is an all-in-one product, with its own dedicated shop and games. Additionally, the SteamDeck only relies on you having a free Steam account. From there, you are able to play any games that you have previously purchased. In contrast, the (new) PSP exclusively relies on you having working WiFi and also a PlayStation 5. The low price point may be appealing. However, it appears to be a very exclusive product that requires a high barrier to entry (i.e. having a PlayStation 5). PlayStation did not set a release date, simply saying that it would be launched later this year.
