Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s iconic feud will be examined in an upcoming documentary titled, Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake, according to Deadline. It will feature archival footage as well as interviews with friends and collaborators of both artists.

Shaminder Nahal, head of specialist factual for Channel 4, discussed the project in a statement: “Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake is not just a biography; it’s a cultural exploration of two of the most influential voices in modern music. This documentary will delve into the unique journeys of Kendrick and Drake, examining how their backgrounds, talents, and visions have made them global icons.”

Acme Films, who previously produced the film, Public Enemies: Jay-Z v Kanye, in 2017, will be handling the project. The company’s creative director, Jaimie D’Cruz, added: “It’s only a few years since our previous Public Enemies film for Channel 4 explored the rivalry between Jay Z vs Kanye. But Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake feels like a story that takes place in a time when all the rules have changed, and beef is all around us.”

The documentary announcement comes after Drake made headlines for reflecting on losing friends and dealing with betrayal at a nightclub in Toronto over the weekend. “You’re gonna come to a point in life where people you thought were friends, or people you thought were close to you, they might switch up, they might try to move funny with you, they might stab you in the back, they might do a lot of things to you,” he said. “You’ll come to that realization. Wherever you’re at in life, you’ve probably been there, and you’ll be there again. That’s how life is. But look, sometimes it’s you and you alone, by yourself. Top5 And DJ Drama Put An End To Their Beef

Top5 says that he’s made amends with DJ Drama after their longstanding feud. Taking to his Instagram Story over the weekend, he shared a screenshot of himself on a FaceTime call with the producer while noting in the caption that the two have “made it right.” He also gave a “shoutout” to Bunso for helping facilitate the squashing of the beef.

When DJ Akademiks shared the post on his Instagram page, hip-hop fans had mixed responses to the move. “Drama is a DJ. A REAL DJ. Top5 would never try that with a real street dude. We already seen him get pushed out of Subway,” one user wrote. Others brought up Top5 alleging to have robbed Drama back in 2023. “You know how embarrassed I’d be to get to robbed by a Canadian,” one user joked.

In June of last year, Top5 shared a video on social media of men in masks showing off jewelry he alleged to have belonged to Drama. “For all you that don’t post my music, and don’t play my music 2023 your chains are getting snatched.. @djdrama come get ur chain back lil boy,” he wrote in the caption. He also claimed that Drama paid $120,000 to get the chains back.

Despite squashing his beef with Drama, Top5 recently ramped up his feud with Kendrick Lamar. During an appearance on Late Night With Liyah Mai, he allegedly threatened to take out Lamar in a drive-by shooting if he dares cross into Toronto. Charlamagne Tha God says he believes that Drake is seriously “hurting” after hearing his speech on betrayal and fake friends from a nightclub in Toronto on Saturday night. He discussed how the For All the Dogs rapper is holding up in the wake of his feud with Kendrick Lamar during the latest episode of The Breakfast Club.

“I thought that Kendrick’s execution of this battle was flawless, the strategy, the songs, everything, but I didn’t think that it had that much of an impact on Drake. Drake hurts. Oh my God. He is hurt,” Charlamagne said. While discussing Drake’s alleged decision to unfollow LeBron James, Demar Derozan, and more who were in attendance at Kendrick Lamar’s The Pop Up concert, he added: “You can’t go on an unfollow spree then go on a stage and cry about not having no real friends or whatever that was about.”

DDG went off on fans of Joe Budden in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, after the podcast host criticized him amid his breakup with Halle Bailey. When one user argued that Budden’s “Pump It Up” is a bigger hit than anything DDG has put out, the rapper fired back: “Boy shut yo b*tch ass up & get sum money. Yo dinner table 2 feet away from the stove, lil ass crib.” He also shared a YouTube video addressing the drama.

As for Budden’s remarks, he had downplayed the relevancy of DDG while discussing the bombshell breakup, earlier in the week. “Who the f*ck is DDG and why am I supposed to care about his thoughts on anything,” Budden said. “I’m very happy that they have broken up so I don’t have to keep seeing this name attached to this girl’s name when I don’t know him from nothing as a standalone, and for me, it’s important to know people based on their name, merit and what they have done. In a clip of the interview, Jacob claims that he never intended to disrespect the Invasion of Privacy rapper on social media. Cardi had misinterpreted a tweet he posted as being directed at her.

“This is third time he said some slick sh*t about me ….My babydad had to press him bout it before Now he wanna act dumb cause I DIRECTLY addressed him. Lame ass why shade me in the first place if you ain’t aoina to stand on,” Cardi wrote in her latest comment. As for what Jacob had to say during the interview, he explained: “I never shaded her. I didn’t even know there was drama going on when I tweeted. It was just a misunderstanding, and I respect Cardi and Offset too much to go back and forth.” He concluded: “As a man, I don’t go back and forth with women. It was all just confusion.”

He explained his reasoning for the controversial take in a pair of statements from his Instagram Story, over the weekend. As caught by 2Cool2Blog, he wrote: “Drake & Kendrick sh*t really f*cked the game up cause now there’s no BAR/STANDARD. Don’t nobody got nothing to aim at or copy off of. Now the hottest rappers in the game are women besides Future & ain’t no n***a running home to make a beat or song in competition with a woman.”

When the outlet shared the posts on Instagram, hip-hop fans in the comments section weren’t moved by the argument. “I have no clue what any of this means or if it even makes sense. Just make good music. The f*ck does Kendrick and Drake gotta do with it?” one user wrote. Another remarked: “The women was on top the rap game before the beef lol.” Others complained about the wording of his post.

Top5 took aim at Kendrick Lamar and Metro Boomin while speaking with DJ Akademiks and Adin Ross for an interview after his release from jail, earlier this week. In doing so, he claimed he didn’t want any weapons involved, but was down to fight them one-on-one.

“It’s not a threat, I’m just looking for Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar,” he began. “I’m doing my homework on them right now, doing my tasks on them right now. Nothing incriminating. I’m just looking for them. I want Metro Booming one-on-one. I don’t want no weapons, nothing. I’m knocking the f*ck outta him. Kendrick Lamar, you cross the border, Chubbs calling me, you passed the border man.” From there, Akademiks brought up the Toronto restaurant, New Ho King. Top5 promised to quit rapping if Lamar goes there without 20 police officers to protect him.

Prior to the interview, he revealed in a post on Instagram that Drake helped cover his legal fees for the trial surrounding his alleged involvement in the murder of a 20-year-old accounting student. He eventually edited the caption to remove his fellow Toronto rapper’s name and instead, thank his lawyer, Gary Grill. Gill argued outside the courtroom: “The problem about prosecuting artists like Mr. Ali based on their music, it fails to understand what the medium is, what’s it about, and how drillers approach their audiences. It’s important for all drillers to portray themselves as the biggest, baddest gangsters on the planet. That’s what sells. That’s what all drillers are doing.”

Regardless of Nicki’s clarification, fans weren’t buying that all is well between her and Beyonce as she’s continuously criticized JAY-Z on social media in recent weeks. “I still can’t figure out how ya maintain a genuine friendship with somebody who very openly hates your spouse,” one user commented. “Like how does that work? DJ Akademiks says that Kendrick Lamar’s team behind the scenes played a critical role in defeating Drake in their viral feud from earlier this year. Discussing the beef during a recent livestream, Ak argued that Lamar locked down some of the best people in the industry to help him out.

“I’m saying this with all due respect. I like Drake, I think a quarter of the reason people think that Drake lost. I said ‘quarter’ I didn’t say the majority. It’s because Drake don’t got no team. Yo, Kendrick got a team right now. Kendrick got the Avengers. I know the n****s. He got the Avengers. The n****s who run Kendrick’s sh*t used to run Cardi B’s sh*t, used to run all the popping sh*t.
