Young Nudy And 21 Savage Assert Their Dominance In The Haunting ‘Child’s Play’ Video

Young Nudy may have already put out his second project of 2021, Rich Shooter, but he apparently remains just as dedicated to promoting the first, Dr. Ev4l. When the album first dropped, the song “Child’s Play,” which features Nudy’s cousin 21 Savage, was tabbed as an early standout. Today, the terrifying twosome releases the video for their collaboration, teaming up to share a taunting visual component to the spooky single.

As always, when these two link up, they bring the best of each other lyrically, as they compare themselves to the doll villain from the film series “Child’s Play” is named after. Throughout a series of eerie, fog-filled night shots, the duo cruises through an abandoned junkyard, the rusting husks of the automobiles looming like tombstones over the moonlight scene.

While Nudy has geared the majority of his videos this year toward the Dr. Ev4l album, including “2Face” and the title track, he hasn’t neglected Rich Shooter. In August, he shared the surreal video for “Green Bean” shortly after the album’s release as he toured both albums at the same time, playing up the competition with a “Dr. Ev4l Vs. Rich Shooter” theme.

Young Nudy Runs A Funhouse Of Horror In His Eerie ‘Dr Ev4l’ Video

Young Nudy runs a funhouse of horror in his eerie ‘Dr Ev4l’ video which dropped today supporting his album of the same name. The Atlanta rapper performs his rapid-fire verses in a darkened warehouse featuring demonic-looking props and a creepy fortune teller machine which gives him a ticket with one directive, “Kill Or Be Killed.”

The theme is appropriate for the album, which is inspired by Nudy’s love of horror films — something he shares with his cousin 21 Savage, who appears on the album single “Child’s Play.” The “kill or be killed” directive can also be seen as a nod to the Saw series, which Savage helped soundtrack as executive producer of the companion album for Spiral: From The Book Of Saw, which dropped the same haunting night as Dr Ev4l. Nudy also appeared on the project on the song “You Ain’t Hard.”

The duo’s shared love for horror havoc recently jumped into the real world when their collaboration “EA” soundtracked a viral video in which a group of partying college students stomped their way right through the floor of an Airbnb. The collapse caused $15,000 of damage, which they started a GoFundMe to raise in order to pay back the owner.

Yung Nudy Locks Down The Streets In His Straightforward ‘Soul Keeper’ Video

Young Nudy’s new album Dr. Ev4l is out now on RCA Records and as he continues to roll out the release, his new video for “Soul Keeper” highlights what fans can expect from the project overall: airy beats and a non-stop flow from Nudy. It’s simple but effective, as Nudy raps in a penthouse overlooking the city and in the street with his crew backing him up.

Nudy’s other standouts from the project include “2Face” with G Herbo and 21 Savage on “Child’s Play.” The album is his second major-label realease after debut project Anyways dropped just ahead of the coronavirus pandemic’s shutdown of live touring in 2020.

Nudy’s back catalog recently made headlines when a video of partying students causing a floor to collapse while Nudy’s “EA” played in the background went viral. One of the students created a GoFundMe campaign to help pay for repairs, explaining that the owner of the Airbnb where the party was held was home during the party and approved of the students’ graduation celebration. “Call y’all spam Young Nudy ina comments,” the student requested. “He gotta kno what his music doin to people.”

Young Nudy And 21 Savage Are Lyrical Serial Killers On ‘Child’s Play’

Over the weekend, 21 Savage released his companion EP for Spiral: From The Book Of Saw. The EP received praise for utilizing the horror-obsessed Atlanta rapper’s macabre talents to the fullest, but it turns out, he wasn’t done yet. Today, Savage returned, appearing with his cousin Young Nudy on the latter’s newly released full-length album, Dr Ev4l. Their collaboration is called “Child’s Play,” and it once again finds the duo indulging their darkest fantasies for a ghoulish excursion to the killing fields of their shared hometown.

Dr Ev4l continues in this vein for all 13 of its bass-forward tracks, featuring guest appearances from Chicago rapper G Herbo on lead single “2Face” and Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert on “Yellow Tape.” In support of the new project, Nudy also announced his first NFT collection, which will be available for purchase through June 1. Nudy and Savage have appeared together on a number of tracks from both their catalogs, most recently on “Snitches & Rats” from 21’s Metro Boomin-produced Savage Mode II last year.

The collection includes the album’s official artwork with redeemable tokens for polaroid photographs signed by Young Nudy and VIP show tickets, capped at just 400 editions. You can find more information at YoungNudy.com.

Yung Nudy’s ‘2Face’ Video With G Herbo Announces The Release Date Of His New Album, ‘Dr Ev4l’

Atlanta rapper Young Nudy returns this month with a new album, Dr Ev4l, and today, he released the video for its first single, “2Face” featuring G Herbo. The 13-song project will also include features from Nudy’s cousin, 21 Savage, and from Lil Uzi Vert. Nudy previously posted the horror-themed cover on his social media channels, as well as an invite to his haunted house-themed album release party in Atlanta. The album is due May 18 on Nudy’s own PDE Records and RCA.

The video for “2Face” sees the two stoic-faced rappers make a stop at the convenience store and throw a parking lot party attended by their respective crews and some scantily-clad, twerking ladies. Lyrically, Herbo and Nudy tread familiar territory, flexing their cash and shouting out their homeboys, denying they’ll ever let their boys down. A beat switch toward the end is accompanied by a transition to a nighttime shoot with Nudy and friends posturing on the block in ski masks as a red filter washes everything in a ghoulish crimson.

Dr Ev4l is Nudy’s first full-length release since 2020’s Anyways and his breakout 2019 Pi’erre Bourne-produced joint mixtape Sli’merre. He also featured on Dreamville’s Revenge Of The Dreamers III, further increasing anticipation for his latest release.
