Fat Joe Fires Back At Chris Broussard After Catching A Stray Over Jalen Brunson

Fat Joe has responded to Chris Broussard using his popularity to prove a point about Jalen Brunson during a segment about the New York Knicks on FS1’s First Things First. The long-time sports pundit remarked that Joe clearly isn’t a top 5 rapper, just as Brunson isn’t a top 5 player.

“I’m not falling for this because he does it in New York versus Sacramento, that he’s going to be a superstar,” he began. “That’s like saying Fat Joe is a top 5 rapper of all time. Fat Joe is dope. Fat Joe has some anthems and classics, but he’s not Top 5. Jalen Brunson is dope, but he’s not a superstar yet.” In response to the clip, Joe wrote: “I think i caught a stray.”

Fat Joe Cheers On The Knicks

The back and forth comes after Joe made headlines for suggesting that Jalen Brunson has the opportunity to go down as the greatest player in franchise history, last week. Following the team’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers, Joe put him in a category with Carmelo Anthony, Walt Clyde Frazier, and Patrick Ewing during an interview with TMZ. “[Jalen’s] so close to being the greatest Knick ever,” he said. “So close, and in such short time.” Following Tuesday night’s win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 1 of their second-round matchup, Joe reiterated the take on Twitter. He wrote: “I told y’all Jalen Brunson might be the greatest Knick of all time”

Chris Broussard Uses Ableist Slur While Discussing James Harden Trade

Chris Broussard is a controversial figure in the world of sports talk television. Although he may not be akin to the likes of Skip Bayless, he is someone who has been called out by athletes. For instance, back in 2019, he was embroiled in a massive beef with the likes of Kevin Durant. It was one of those feuds that had some questioning just how credentialed Broussard truly was. Furthermore, it was another instance in which KD was using his “trigger fingers.”

Since that time, Broussard has made a nice living for himself on First Things First. Overall, this is a show that also features Kevin Wildes and Nick Wright. The three are considered to be the best trio in sports talk television right now. Unfortunately, the trio is now at risk of being broken up thanks to a faux pas by Broussard today. In the clip down below, you can see the three discussing the James Harden trade. After Wright makes a point, Broussard asks if he thinks James Harden is “r*******.”

Chris Broussard Made A Huge Error

Of course, this is an ableist slur that can’t really be used anymore. As soon as you say it, you know you will have to apologize. Broussard was told not to say that and instead, he said, “developmentally disabled.” Later in the segment, he claimed that his first cousin who recently passed away was developmentally disabled and that he meant no harm. It was all a very strange sequence of events, and he is currently being dragged on social media because of it. Only time will tell whether or not FS1 fires him.

Cam’ron’s sports podcast has quickly garnered the attention of many. Whether it be from his jokes involving the latest drama with Zion Williamson. Or his wild comparison of Scottie Pippen to O.J. Simpson, sports fans are listening. Although the show likes to have a little fun, Cam’ron and Mase are educated in the world of sports. Including knowing some NBA players personally. Which is why it should be no surprise to hear them discussing the major storylines in the league.

However, it now seems the co-host of ‘It Is What It Is‘ is having a little fun at the big network’s expense. On a recent episode of ‘First Things First‘ Nick Wright and Chris Broussard debate the addition of Chris Paul to the Golden State Warriors. Paul was shipped out of Phoenix for Washington star Bradley Beal. While Paul’s first stop was with the Wizards, the veteran guard ultimately ended up in Golden State. Broussard and Wright were discussing what Paul’s addition would do to the morale of the team.

On his official Instagram account, Cam’ron shared a clip of the segment involving Wright and Broussard’s discussion. When Wright mentioned what I heard on Cam’ron’s show about the team chemistry of the Warriors, Broussard laughed it off. Cam’ron wrote this in the caption of his post, “Yo @chrisbroussard68 what’s so funny? U laughing but then agree with what we said. U know these players are my friends right? @getnickwright seems to know. If y’all need us up there just holla. We’ll give you a couple inside scoops…MAYBE. Lol. Just messing wit ya bro. All love.”

It seems as if Cam’ron is having a little fun with the show’s hosts. However, at the same time, the music icon is looking for respect for his own show. Giving credit where it s due in the sports world can be hard to come by. Cam’ron Extends Invite To Chris Broussard After Perceived Slip-Up

In case you haven’t noticed, Cam’ron has been absolutely killing it as of late with his brand-new sports show, It Is What It Is. This new show is co-hosted by Ma$e, and fans have been loving it. Overall, it is a unique take on the First Take format we have become accustomed to. Although Cam and Ma$e don’t always have all of the statistics to back up their points, they are wildly entertaining. They provide the perspective of the average fan, and overall, it is quite riveting. Moreover, their chemistry is always apparent.

Throughout the show’s existence, Cam has always tried to extend an invitation to hosts from other shows. He knows that personalities like Shannon Sharpe can’t say what they want because they are confined to a network. Consequently, he is willing to pay big bucks to get them onto the show. So far, these invitations have not worked out. However, Cam’ron is still trying as he has found a new target in Chris Broussard.
