Nets Reportedly Refused To Send Kyrie To The Lakers

Kyrie Irving hit the Nets with a conundrum last week. Initially, Kyrie had made it clear that he wanted to return to the Nets. Overall, he was looking for a long-term deal with guaranteed money. However, his inability to remain active for long periods of time swayed the Nets to add stipulations to a potential contract. Kyrie was not feeling these provisions and ultimately decided to request a trade. As you can imagine, this was a very hard pill to swallow for the Nets.

Consequently, they decided to make a trade as quickly as possible. They fielded calls all weekend long, and eventually, they traded Kyrie to the Dallas Mavericks. For some, this was a very surprising landing spot for the point guard. After all, Mark Cuban has been reluctant to make big moves. However, they knew that this was the best way to give Luka Doncic a fighting chance in the West. As you can imagine, the Mavs were not the only ones vying for Kyrie. In fact, most people had Kyrie going to the Lakers for a reunion with LeBron James.

Nets Diss The Purple & Gold

According to Marc Stein, it seems like Nets owner Joe Tsai was never going to negotiate with the Lakers in good faith. Stein wrote that the Nets’ objective was to avoid the Lakers. Kyrie preferred the purple and gold, although Tsai felt that it would be a bad idea to acquiesce like that. Moreover, the Lakers were offering a first-round pick and Russell Westbrook. For Tsai, that simply was not enough to justify giving up Kyrie.

LeBron certainly was not happy about this outcome as he took to Twitter with a solemn message. At this point, it is quite clear that the Lakers cannot catch any breaks. Meanwhile, the Nets are going to have a rough go of things until Kevin Durant comes back a few weeks from now. Let us know what you thought of the trade, in the comments below. Kyrie Irving Speaks Amid Trade Request

Today, the NBA got hit with some very shocking news as it was revealed that Kyrie Irving requested a trade out of Brooklyn. Over the past three and a half years, Kyrie and the Nets have had their issues. However, it seemed like things were on the up and up. After all, Irving had recently told the Nets that he wanted a contract extension. Furthermore, he was playing great basketball. With Kevin Durant in the lineup, the Nets have been fantastic. Despite this, it seems like Kyrie simply wants to go somewhere else.

For now, it remains to be seen as to where Kyrie will wind up. So far, journalists like Adrian Wojnarowski have reported that Irving will be pursued by the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks. Additionally, Irving has already shown a large interest in the Lakers. A LeBron and Kyrie reunion would certainly move the needle for NBA interest. Not to mention, the Lakers would instantly become title contenders again. Needless to say, Lakers fans are cheering hard for this scenario.

Kyrie Tweets

As for Kyrie himself, he actually took to Twitter amid the trade request news. In the tweet above, he had one of his signature messages that promotes positivity and free-thinking. “To my Peers: JUST BE YOURSelf and GROW!,” he wrote. “Keep people around who CELEBRATE YOU unconditionally and appreciates all of the hard work that gets put in. Kyrie Irving Requests Trade Out Of Brooklyn

Kyrie Irving has certainly had an interesting tenure with the Brooklyn Nets. Since joining the team back in 2019, Kyrie has had an up-and-down stretch. Overall, he has had to deal with numerous injuries. Additionally, he has had a slew of controversies, including the anti-semitism allegations that got him suspended from the team. Despite all of this, Kyrie has continued to ball out on the court, and it was looking like he and the Nets had reached a new chapter. In fact, Kyrie even made it clear last week that he wanted a long-term deal with the Nets.

Unfortunately, Kyrie’s erratic behavior over the years has made it hard for the Nets to want a long-term deal. The team is aware that he is rarely available for large stretches of the season. Having said that, one could assume that the Nets were not as eager to get a deal done as Kyrie was. Add in the fact that the Nets have never gone past the second round with Kyrie and KD, and you realize why they may be additionally apprehensive.

Kyrie Irving Wants Out

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, it seems like the Nets were, indeed, a bit squeamish during negotiations. Consequently, Kyrie Irving officially wants a trade from the Nets. Today, Irving told the team that he would prefer to be sent to another team by the deadline. Moreover, if he isn’t traded, he will simply walk away during free agency. No matter what, this is a horrible situation for the Nets to be in. With Kevin Durant out of the lineup, they have been relying on Kyrie. Not to mention, with KD in the lineup, the team was playing championship basketball. Now, however, Kyrie is throwing all of that away, and NBA fans are eager to see how this plays out.

The most obvious destination for Kyrie is the Lakers. They are willing to give up Russell Westbrook and their two future first-round picks. Whether or not that is enough for the Nets’ front office, still remains to be seen. Either way, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the sports world. Kyrie Irving’s Stance On Returning To Brooklyn Revealed

Kyrie Irving is easily one of the best point guards in the entire league. He has stepped up his play to another level since Kevin Durant’s absence, and overall, the fans in Brooklyn love him. It was looking rocky at the beginning of the year, however, Kyrie has turned the page for the better.

This is a very interesting season for Kyrie since he is a free agent in the summer. There are plenty of teams who want to acquire him, including the Los Angeles Lakers. Although, it seems like Irving has a very obvious preference as to where he wants to be.

Kyrie Has A Plan

According to Bleacher Report, Irving’s agent Shetellia Irving has made it clear as to where Kyrie wants to be. Essentially, Irving wants to remain in Brooklyn for the long haul. He wants to make things work there long-term, and it is up to the Nets to reciprocate this desire.

“Around Kyrie and staying with the Nets? I have reached out to the Nets regarding this,” his agent said. “We have had no significant conversations to date. The desire is to make Brooklyn home, with the right type of extension, which means the ball is in the Nets’ court to communicate now if their desire is the same.”

Kevin Durant Reacts To Viral Youth Basketball Clip

Kevin Durant is one of the best players to ever step on an NBA court. Having said that, he knows what it takes to be a high-level player. Furthermore, he understands what good sportsmanship looks like. After all, he has played in hundreds of NBA games.

Interestingly enough, everyone has a different view of what sportsmanship should be. However, one should probably stick to the opinions of those who have actually played the game at a high level. At the end of the day, they are the ones who have the best perspectives.

We bring up the topic of sportsmanship because of a video that is currently going viral on Twitter. Below, you can find some third-grade players doing some unique celebrations after every basket. Overall, it feels as though they are already participating in hoop mixtape culture, which has rubbed some people the wrong way.

Kevin Durant Speaks

Kevin Durant was paying attention to the discourse on social media, and he decided to weigh in. As you will see, he doesn’t seem to think any of this is a problem. In fact, he believes the kids are just doing what they’ve been seeing on TV all their lives.

“As a kid, I remember, we did what we saw the pros do…good shit lil homies,” Durant wrote. Needless to say, these kids have earned the KD stamp of approval.

While they may not be getting praise from anyone, some props from an actual NBA superstar are all that matter. Hopefully, KD’s words find their way back to these kids.

Kyrie Irving Calls Out Nets Critics

Kyrie Irving and the Nets are going through a lot right now as Kevin Durant is out with an injury. Losing your best player is never easy, but now, the Nets have to figure it out. Prior to the injury, the Nets had battled to second place in the Eastern Conference. Subsequently, they could be on their way back down.

On Sunday night, the Nets struggled against the Oklahoma City Thunder. By all accounts, the Thunder are a team they should be defeating. However, Kyrie only put up 15 points, and largely struggled throughout the match.

Kyrie Reacts

Following the game, Kyrie spoke to reporters about the game and whether or not there was something the Nets could do better. Additionally, Irving was asked about KD and whether or not his absence will hurt this team long-term. Overall, Irving was not impressed with the notion that his team is in trouble.

“I don’t think we’re gonna struggle without Kevin [Durant] out,” Irving said. “That’s not my belief. I know guys in the locker room don’t believe that and this isn’t last year at all. The comparison just gotta stop.”

Irving went on to say that his team is more than capable of filling any gaps. There are some amazing talents on the Nets, and Kyrie strongly believes in his teammates.

“Invite the growth that can happen here. Guys can definitely fill in some shoes, play some different roles, and it gives us a chance to really grow as individuals,” Irving said. “Some guys have been in this position, some guys have not. It was all glory, glory last week when we were winning game after game and now we’re answering questions about potentially struggling.”

Kyrie Irving’s Instagram Suspended, Fans React

Kyrie Irving has been seen as a controversial person. While his fans stand by his every move, there are others who have been offended by some of his posts. In fact, Irving was suspended by the Brooklyn Nets earlier this year due to his sharing of a documentary on Twitter.

Subsequently, Irving has largely slowed down his social media usage. He isn’t as active as he used to be on platforms like Instagram and Twitter. However, there are some times when he takes to Twitter just to remind fans that he is still working to be the best version of himself. Overall, he is quite spiritual and his fans adore that.

Kyrie Suspended

Despite his lack of activity on Instagram, Kyrie’s main account was suspended from the platform on Thursday. Kyrie announced this to his fans while using a second account. It was quite a surprising reveal, especially since Instagram didn’t give a reason.

“They suspended my @kyrieirving account, idk why, nor do I care to know the reason why,” Irving said. “Tribe My Tribe: Make sure y’all are paying attention to everything that’s going on. Stand firm no matter what.”

Below, you can find numerous tweets in which fans reacted to the news. Overall, most people seem to think this is some coordinated attack against the NBA star. However, it is impossible to say for sure as, once again, IG didn’t do a great job of explaining what happened here.
