Nevertheless, one of the big stories floating around right now concerns an alleged sex tape featuring Sean Combs and an A-list male celebrity. Attorney Ariel Mitchell-Kidd, a representative for various alleged sexual assault victims of his, recently claimed that a bidding war began over this alleged sex tape. She thinks it might go public soon (if it exists) unless the other celebrity buys it for a “catch and kill.”

“I received the New York Post article from the person who contacted me to sell the tape,” Mitchell-Kidd told News Nation about the piece claiming that the celebrity in the alleged Diddy sex tape is “horrified” about its sale. “I was not shocked by what I read in the article. The person who has the tape really doesn’t want to shop it around. They really want to help and wanted to directly sell it to that person, but it seems as if they are going elsewhere.

Diddy’s Accusers’ Attorney Speaks To News Nation

“I really do feel bad about the person,” Diddy’s accusers’ lawyer continued. “Part of the reason I did come and say something […] I wanted to sound the alarm to that person that maybe they should do something about it. If I was them, I would do something about this. The only way to do anything is to do the catch and kill. That’s the only way it won’t come out.

“From what I’m hearing, I think [someone will leak the alleged tape soon],” Mitchell-Kidd added to the outlet. “I’m hearing whispers there is at least one major network, possibly two, in a bidding war for that purchase. Unless that person comes forward and purchases the video themselves, which is really the goal of the people who have the video, at this point, if that person doesn’t want to purchase it, it’s going to go on the open market.”

Rumors around their alleged fling didn’t amount to much, but that doesn’t mean that people aren’t still shipping a relationship between Tom Brady and Kim Kardashian. Moreover, a new TMZ report with eyewitnesses as sources shows that the two, if not actually flirting, at least know how to lean into that for an audience. Apparently, the reality star and football icon went to an auction to bid on a George Condo painting at the Reform Alliance Charity in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday night (September 30). Apparently the SKIMS mogul started the process with a $500K bid, which the former New England Patriot one-upped. In fact, they kept that going until launching a full-on bidding war between themselves.

Eyewitnesses labeled their interaction as “super fun and flirty,” TMZ detailed, as they giggled and stared in each other’s direction. Eventually, the bid got to $2 million, at which point event organizers decided to give both Kim Kardashian and Tom Brady a George Condo painting of their own (apparently Brady got the one they were bidding for, and Kim will get her own commissioned piece from the artist). Of course, they still had to cough up $2 million for their artwork. But what dent can that make in their wallet when they sit at the top of their respective fields?

The Weeknd Becomes Latest Investor In Senators Bidding War

The NHL’s Ottawa Senators are up for sale after the death of long-time owner Eugene Melnyk last year. While the Senators are a team long associated with the NHL, the current iteration of the franchise existed since 1992. They have never won the Stanley Cup, losing 4-1 to Anaheim Ducks in their only appearance in 2007. Furthermore, the Senators have not qualified for the playoffs since 2017.

There are currently four major bids to acquire ownership of the Senators. One bid is led by healthcare mogul Michael Andlauer. Another is helmed by real estate moguls, the Kimel Family. Then there are two Hollywood bids. The first is fronted by Canadian-born actor Ryan Reynolds. Meanwhile, the other is spearheaded by producer Neko Sparks. Spark’s ownership group also includes The Rock and Snoop Dogg. There are also reportedly three other groups interested in purchasing the team. The non-binding deadline to submit a bid is May 15.

The Weeknd Joins Kimel Family Bid

Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, was born in Toronto in 1990. According to a report from the Ottawa Sun, it’s The Weeknd’s Canadian roots and love of hockey that is getting him involved in the bidding war for the Senators. The Weeknd is reportedly joining the bid launched by Michael and Jeffrey Kimel. Sources told the Ottawa Sun that The Weeknd has agreed to a “commitment to be involved financially” with the Kimels’ bid.

“He’s going to be a great partner for Ottawa and the NHL,” a source close to The Weeknd said. “The team he works with grew up in Ottawa, so they know the market really well, but he’s the largest musician planet right now. He has the most views, the most streams and he’s a hockey guy.” The source continued, “He doesn’t like to be in the media very often so this really says something that he wants to be part of a bid. He wants to get this deal done, he wants to build something that will be great in Ottawa and he’ll be a good fit. He’s got a lot of connections worldwide.” It’s reported that NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman is eager to have the sale completed by the end of the summer.
