B. Simone & Pretty Vee Respond To Soulja Boy Following His Heated Rant

If it was apparent by now, Soulja Boy is someone that you have to tread lightly around. The slightest bit of ridicule sets this guy off and B. Simone is someone who learned that the hard way. Just yesterday, a clip from the multi-hyphenate’s podcast, Let’s Try This Again, was making the rounds online after shooting a stray toward the rapper. She was retelling a story from a magazine photoshoot and while she was working, she had a gospel music playlist. B. Simone was saying how no one at the site was ripping her for her taste.

“Nobody said ‘Why are we listening to this? Man, put on Soulja Boy.’ I don’t think anybody’s ever saying put on Soulja Boy… I don’t know why I said that”. Later on, the podcast host made sure to give the “Crank That” MC his props for being a “hip-hop legend” and a “trendsetter”. Like we mentioned, though, all of the buttering up didn’t keep Soulja from firing back. He went off on Simone, essentially calling her ugly, roasting her for her lack of recognition as a musician, and repeatedly pointed out how he had more hair than her.

Well, B. Simone, along with fellow comedian, Pretty Vee, had some words for Mr. Pretty Boy Swag. However, there was nearly not as much malicious intent, especially from Simone. “This is nuts 😂”, she began. “I literally say “‘We have to put some respect on Soulja Boy name. He is a trendsetter & an innovator in the culture. So I respect Soulja Boy’”. I literally say he’s a hip-hop legend 🤔 God bless you baby @souljaboy 🙏🏾 Hope you good 🥹 But LTTA @letstrythisagain TAP IN👏🏾👏🏾❤❤ Love yall !!!!”. That prompted Soulja to react lightheartedly, “@thebsimone you hurt my feelings 😭🤦🏾‍♂️”.

That is when Pretty Vee came in to back up her girl. “Don’t play with me @souljaboy. You better play with them ones like this but not @thebsimone. Again she said what she said, now WHAT 🤬”. DaBaby Responds To Soulja Boy Shade With The Perfect Meme

DaBaby responded to Soulja Boy’s Instagram live shade. Soulja Boy has been in the news recently for several things. The most recent issue came up on his Instagram live stream, where he went on a lengthy rant against social media personality and comedian B. Simone. During the rant, he took a swipe at DaBaby, seemingly unprompted.

“You’re mad because I turned you down […] I’m not DaBaby,” said Soulja Boy at the end of the clip. DaBaby responded to the comment on his Instagram story, posting a now-infamous still from Soulja Boy’s 2019 Breakfast Club interview. The “Draaaake?” meme. Fans had thoughts on the interaction. “Please don’t unthaw DaBaby. He was doing good and being unproblematic,” said one user. “Now Soulja, I don’t think you want beef wit that man. Him and 50 neck and neck wit petty,” said another user. “This ain’t one you wanna play with, Soulja. DaBaby is everything he rap about,” said a third.

DaBaby Responds To Soulja Boy Shade

Soulja Boy has had an interesting last few weeks. He took shots at Drake for “disappointing” him during the battle with Kendrick Lamar. Fans viewed it as an attempt to drum up publicity for his new album, which releases on July 28. Drake mentioned him, seemingly in response to Soulja’s X rant, in an unreleased song with Lil Yachty, which Twitch streamer Kai Cenat previewed on Wednesday. In the same Instagram live stream as his B. Simone rant, Soulja mentioned that he couldn’t figure out if Drake was “showing love” or dissing him.

DaBaby has had a quiet 2024. He released a handful of singles and freestyles, but has not announced a new album or anything past that. He seems to be intent on staying away from controversy after a tumultuous 2021 that his career is yet to recover from. However, Soulja Boy’s comment may be what causes him to find himself back in beef. It remains to be seen if one picture is the extent of DaBaby’s response, or if the two famously petty rappers will end up in a lengthier back and forth.

DaniLeigh Accused Of Having B.Simone Removed From Wild N’ Out Episode Over DaBaby

DaniLeigh and DaBaby may just be co-parents these days, but the new mom is still protective over her ex. The tumultuous couple made headlines last year after getting into a fight on Instagram Live while 26-year old songstress was feeding their 3-month old daughter. A bowling alley brawl and a few doctor’s appointments later, co-parenting seems to be going well for them both. 

Despite their separation, the “Take It Easy” singer is still sensitive when it comes to her relationship with the North Carolina rapper. So much so that during a recent appearance on Wild N’ Out, she reportedly had B. Simone removed from the episode because of the comedienne’s public affinity for DaBaby. 

Back in 2020, Simone and Baby sparked dating rumors after she starred in his music video for “Find My Way.” Just one year prior, the Wild N’ Out star dressed as a bride and brought out a cut-out board picture of DaBaby to a Halloween party. While this all took place before DaniLeigh publicly began dating DaBaby, the singer still wasn’t fond of having B. Simone on set while filming the MTV show earlier this week. 

A source revealed that before filming began, Dani felt like something was going on between her daughter’ father and B. Simone, so she expressed those feelings to executive producers, who ultimately made the big decision. However, DaniLeigh laughed off the allegations, simply responding, “LOL [laughing emoji].” Shortly after, B. Simone’s Wild N’ Out cast members, including Jess Hilarious and Pretty Vee chimed in to defend the comedienne. “Weak sh** don’t give a f**,” Jess commented. Vee added, “No shade but this back & both is mad old. My sis @thebsimone is doing her THING.”

As for B. Simone, she liked the Hollywood Unlocked post that reported the story, leading fans to believe that the claims about DaniLeigh are in fact true. DaBaby has yet to comment on the incident.
