Quavo Celebrates Kirk Cousins Signing with Atlanta Falcons: ‘Ice Em Out Kirk Frost!!!’

Quavo Sued for Assaulting a Limo Driver in Las Vegas

Quavo is happy to have Kirk Cousins as the new quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons.

During his most recent season, Cousins kept the team’s chains on his neck. Quavo saw that and has a message:

“We having plenty chains down here ice em out kirk frost !!!”

You can see the message below.

Kirk Cousins’s days as a member of the Minnesota Vikings are over. Cousins is headed to Atlanta under a new four-year, $180 million deal.

According to ESPN, $100 million of the deal is guaranteed.

“After significant and positive dialogue with Kirk and his representatives, we were unable to reach agreement on a contract that fits the short- and long-term visions for both Kirk and the Minnesota Vikings,” Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah said in a statement. “Kirk holds a special place in Vikings history, and we appreciate his leadership and contributions to the team and the Minneapolis-St. Paul community over the past six seasons. We wish him; his wife, Julie; and their children all the best. Our approach heading into free agency always included layers of contingencies regarding the quarterback position. We are moving forward with plans that allow us to continue building a roster that can compete for a championship.”

Before going out with a torn Achilles, Cousins was putting up career numbers. Now the 35-year-old will return in a completely new environment.

Deion Sanders Wants The Falcons To Draft Both His Sons

Deion Sanders has strongly suggested that the Atlanta Falcons should draft his sons Shedeur and Shilo. Sanders made the suggestion while Falcons scout Rich Sanders was visiting Colorado this week. “We ain’t coming back unless we bringing the Sanders boys to The A,” the scout was seen saying at Deion’s behest.

Of course, Deion spent the first five years of his NFL career as an electrifying presence for the Falcons (and Braves). Shedeur has been widely considered QB4 in the 2024 draft class after a white-hot start to his Colorado career. He has over 2000 yards through six games for the Buffs. Meanwhile, it’s hard to say where Shilo, a safety, will fall in the draft. He has 36 tackles and an 80-yard pick-six on the season so far. Meanwhile, Atlanta’s current QB is Desmond Ridder, who is in his first year as a full-time starter. He has 1073 yards and four touchdowns through five games. The Falcons are 3-2 so far this season.

Colorado Eye Bounce Back Win

While Sanders clearly has one eye on the draft, the other is firmly fixed on getting the Buffs back on track. Colorado may have gotten the win last weekend, but it wasn’t clean and it didn’t leave Sanders in the best mood. “Wonderful win, but we played like hot garbage and I’m trying to figure it out. I’m sick of this. We’re better than this,” Sanders said following the 27-24 win. He also alluded to the team’s reliance on his son, starting quarterback Shedeur, bailing them out of bad performances. “It’s like we’re waiting on him to put on his cape and do what he does. That’s what he does every week.” Arizona State had Colorado’s for most of the game. However, a 43-yard pass in the final minutes allowed the Buffs to kick the game-winning field goal

Next up on the docket is 1-4 Stanford. It’s been a terrible year for the Cardinal, with their sole win coming against Hawai’i in Week 1. Their subsequent four-game losing streak included a 30-23 loss to FCS side Sacramento State. It’s the perfect game for Colorado to reset ahead of a tough second half of the season. Colorado’s final five games of the season feature four ranked opponents (UCLA, Oregon State, Washington State, and Utah). It also features a game against Arizona, who pushed USC to triple overtime last weekend.

Former Atlanta Falcons Star Arrested After Shooting At Car

Former Atlanta Falcons star William Moore has been arrested after an altercation ended with Moore shooting at a car with a child inside. According to reports from TMZ, the incident was called to the police as a domestic dispute. However, when Lawrenceville, Ga police arrived at the scene, a woman mentioned Moore had shot at her car. According to reports, Moore shot at the vehicle while the woman’s niece and son were inside the vehicle. Now Moore will be facing several legal battles.

The disagreement between Moore and the woman allegedly started over Moore’s daughter. Allegedly the niece of the woman and Moore’s daughter got into a disagreement on the playground. Moore allegedly slashed the woman’s tires with a screwdriver. The woman in the equation has yet to let her information be known. However, it appears she will be pressing charges against the former NFL defensive back.

William Moore Facing Several Charges

According to the police, “Moore was booked on two counts of aggravated assault, one count of felony criminal damage to property in the second degree, and one count of felony possession of a firearm or knife during the commission.” Moore has also been charged with two misdemeanor counts of cruelty to children in the third degree. The former Falcons star’s bond is currently set at $21,700. After reports of the incident, police found a vehicle matching the witness’s testimony. That is when Moore was detained by police. However, no comment has been made by Moore or anyone that may be his legal counsel.

William Moore spent all seven seasons of his NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons. From 2010 to 2013, Moore started the majority of the season for the Falcons as a safety. However, the 2012 season saw Moore earn the only Pro Bowl selection of his seven-year career. In his final season, Moore started and appeared in eleven games for the Falcons. Thankfully, the incident involving Moore didn’t end up worse than it already is. According to the incident report, no one was injured in the incident. Atlanta Falcons Fans Are Throwing Penalty Flags At The Team’s Out-Of-Touch ‘Rise Up’ Promo

In recent years, the NFL has made a concerted effort to connect with a broader (and younger) fanbase, finally taking steps to embrace hip-hop and Black culture after taking plenty of criticism over the past decade. Its most recent Super Bowl Halftime Show featuring Dr. Dre and friends won three Emmy awards, while the NFL office says it didn’t mind Eminem kneeling as an acknowledgment of Colin Kaepernick’s protest against police brutality and subsequent blackballing by the league.

However, that doesn’t mean that the NFL, which has traditionally skewed older and much, well, whiter, has completely figured out how to connect to audiences raised on rap. Case in point: The Atlanta Falcons’ “Rise Up” season promo, which the team debuted today on social media. The musical clip inexplicably features actor-singer Rotimi crooning from a throne while wearing a Younghoe Koo jersey. Fans on Twitter were not impressed, calling out the team for not featuring any of the dozens of prominent Black artists who call the ATL home (for instance: Gucci Mane, Future, Latto, Lil Baby, and Migos, just off the top of my head). As Omeretta The Great might say, “That is not Atlanta.”

Artists got in on the act, too. “I’m right here yall,” wrote JID, who just released his new album The Forever Story to both critical acclaim and impressive commercial success. “y y’all put rotimi in the line of fire like dat?” asked 6lack, who, like JID (his bandmate in Spillage Village), is a homegrown ATLien.

Obviously, Rotimi’s background was a sticking point for fans — he’s from New Jersey, and didn’t even go to school in Atlanta, opting for an education from Northwestern — but likely so too was the general presentation. The song features a relatively generic horn-backed beat that sounds about two decades out of date to be the contemporary sound the marketing team clearly wanted.

It’s probably already too late for the Falcons to change things up now, but it’s especially sad that an NFL team hasn’t learned from the rich history around it. In 2018, with the Super Bowl in Atlanta, fans booed the league’s halftime performer pick, Maroon 5, while nearly every peripheral event in the city featured an artist that should have been considered first. Hopefully, the team and the league can avoid too many more stumbles like this in the future — pun 100 percent intended. See more responses below.
