Nicki Minaj Fan Attempts To Snatch Rapper’s Wig During Rolling Loud NY: Video

Nicki Minaj’s fans go undeniably hard for her, but even their love for the Queen of Rap won’t prevent them from attempting to snatch her wig from time to time.

During her star-studded set at Rolling Loud New York this weekend, the 39-year-old made quite an impression on fans, bringing out guests like Lil Uzi Vert to perform their 2017 collab track, “The Way Life Goes,” as well as names like BIA, G Herbo, and Fivio Foreign, but those weren’t even the most talk-about moments from her headlining set.

At one point during the show, as Minaj was busy rapping away as the crowd spit her most famous bars along with her, cameras caught a hand reaching up to the mother of one’s extra long inches that were blowing in the breeze toward them.

During her performance of “Moment 4 Life,” it looks as though the concert patron may have been able to sneak a few of the strands from the rap diva’s hair, and online sleuths have found a post listing them for sale for thousands of dollars.

“Nicki Minaj’s hair from Rolling Loud ’22” the description reads, with the accompanying photo showing two measly strands of black hair, priced at an astounding $12,200.00 USD.

At the time the screenshot was captured, the wig remnants had received 21 bids, proving that The Barbz are as dedicated to their fearless leader as ever.

Speaking of Minaj’s fans, several of them have found themselves wrapped up in a lawsuit after online bullying a woman who publicly expressed disdain for the Trinidadian rapper – read more about that here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

6ix9ine Speaks On Dubai Brawl, “DJ Got Smoked”

On Friday, September 23, Hollywood Unlocked revealed that 6ix9ine had gotten into a brawl at the Soho Palm Club in Dubai. According to sources, the rapper asked the DJ to play one of his songs for the crowd, but he refused. This allegedly led to the artist, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, attacking the DJ on the spot.

As reported by the outlet, the DJ screamed, “We don’t like snitches. No way am I playing a snitch’s song,” into the microphone following their brawl. Shortly after the news broke, the video of the incident began circulating online. In the clip, Tekashi was seen shirtless punching a man before being held back by a group of people.

Once he caught wind of Hollywood Unlocked’s post, the rapper hopped in the comments with something to say. He wrote, “Get the news right. I get it ….ya mad I’m still alive… It’s cool sit down and wait it out.”

Not satisfied with his initial comment, the 26-year-old came back with more to say. “I love how you guys write a whole story/essay… explain what happened and then headline it something else [crying emojis] that 69 PR hate train working overtime. DJ got smoke,” he added.

Seemingly unphased by his judgment of their post, Hollywood Unlocked reposted his comments with the caption, “6ix9ine not happy about reports on the brawl in Dubai. What do you think happened?”

Tems Performs “No Woman, No Cry” From “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” For The First Time: Watch

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Fans have been speculating who will take Chadwick Boseman’s titular role in the film, and each teaser for the film has been scrutinized endlessly.

The original Black Panther soundtrack was almost as popular as the movie itself, and so the music that has been released alongside its sequel is also getting a lot of attention. The last trailer featured a rendition of Kendrick Lamar’s iconic “Alright” from To Pimp A Butterfly, as well as a cover of Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” by Tems. This weekend, Tems performed the song for the first time at the Global Citizen Festival in Ghana.

Footage of the performance uploaded to social media seem to show that Tems knocked the song out of the park. Her vocals are nearly flawless, and the crowd is clearly feeling the song, joining in on the lyrics, “Everything’s gonna be alright.”

Tems’ version of the song has already been released on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Prologue EP that was released a couple months ago. Her cover was joined by Amaarae’s “A Body, A Coffin” and Santa Fe Klan’s “Soy.” The project was overseen by Ludwig Göransson, who has worked with the likes of Childish Gambino, as well as scored CreedTenet, and the first Black Panther.

The original Black Panther album was credited to Kendrick Lamar, and featured a whole slew of big names, including SZA, Anderson .Paak, Future, Jay Rock, The Weeknd, and Travis Scott. Time will tell if Marvel is able to top that lineup for number two.

6ix9ine Says “F*ck Brittney Griner” As He Lands In Russia To Perform: Watch

Much of the world has spent the last seven months showing support to incarcerated WNBA player, Brittney Griner, who has been locked up in Russian prison for some time after authorities claimed to have found hashish oil in her luggage at an airport located not far from Moscow.

While stars like Dennis Rodman have offered to go overseas and advocate for his fellow athlete’s freedom, the Chicago Bulls alumn was ultimately discouraged from making the trek, leaving it instead to the legal pros who have been tirelessly fighting for Griner to be reunited with her family.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, however, didn’t heed the warning advising Americans not to travel to Russia, and in a recent video, the New York native can be seen exploring shortly after arriving before going on to diss the basketball star.

The rapper began by sending greetings and shoutouts to his friends, “You know we out here, he continued,” smiling in an all-black outfit while standing in a sparsely populated city square. “Shit is crazy,” he continued.

As 6ix9ine inched closer to the cameraman, he lifted up his oversized sunglasses to show his full face, giggling after leaning in extra close to whisper “F*ck Brittney Griner.”

The controversial recording artist is already facing serious backlash for his comments. “I hope they lock his ass up for LIFE lmao,” one user wrote on @theneighorhoodtalk’s page.

“So uncalled for but y’all really please remember the colour of his skin is not like HERS!!!!!! FREE [BRITTNEY],” and “When his karma comes……Whew,” others added.

T.I. Calls Out Akademiks Over Reginae Hate

Yesterday, DJ Akademiks caught Toya Johnson’s wrath after he spoke about her daughter. During a live stream, the entertainment and music commentator went on a rant about Reginae’s failed relationship with rapper YFN Lucci. He stated, “Reginae loved hood n*ggas; she loved YFN Lucci… You know these b*tch– let me not call her a b*tch. These chicks love a hood n*gga until he’s facing 25 to life.”

It didn’t take long for the 38-year-old to call him out on her social media accounts. She shared a post warning him to keep her daughter’s name out of his mouth. “@akademiks I can’t stand men that do b*tch sh*t… Clout chasing is at an all time high. Let her live her 23 yr old life,” the mother of two added.

Hundreds of social media users took her side, claiming that AK’s comments were harsh and unnecessary. Of those who agreed with the latter was T.I., one of the most prominent rappers hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. For years, he has shared a tight-knit relationship with Toya, Reginae, and Lil Wayne. Because of this, he felt the need to come to their defense.

Tip, born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., took to Instagram in hopes of getting in contact with AK. “I would love to have a word with Akademiks. I put a call out to him; hopefully we can communicate our way to a positive resolution,” the rapper said in a video.

Additionally, he wrote, “She was raised by a village who loves and protects her [with] all our physical and spiritual abilities… She is MY business. Hence why I’d love to handle the matter privately (which is why I been calling & txtn trying to speak with you.)

22Gz Lashes Out At Rolling Loud New York For Kicking Him Off Lineup

Rolling Loud New York is underway. The festival has been even more star-studded than concert-goers expected, with Nicki Minaj bringing out guests like Lil Uzi Vert and more, and Kanye West taking the stage during Playboi Carti’s set. Equally notable, however, have been the names who didn’t perform.

Just before the New York branch of Rolling Loud was set to kick off, the festival removed three drill rappers from its lineup. According to the NYPD, Ron Suno, 22Gz, and Sha Ek created too much of a risk of violence if they were allowed to perform. 22Gz took to Instagram to vent about the removal, and didn’t just blame the police.

“SMH roll loud bout to be trash,” the drill rapper wrote in a Story. “Only the police rappers gone be there no @22gzofficial no me. NYPD AINT LET @22gzofficial GO TO ROLLING LOUD but @fivioforeign can? Something ain’t sit right.”

22Gz went on to complain about his own team as well. “LOOKING FOR NEW MANAGEMENT,” he wrote in a later post. “YOU CAN’T BE BROKE TRYIN’ TO DO THIS JOB.” He then leveled accusations at the festival: “Rolling Loud police too. Pay attention. They part of the blackball.”

This isn’t 22Gz’s first time getting blackballed from the festival. Back in 2019, the artist was named with Pop Smoke, Sheff G, Don Q, and Casanova as “a higher risk of violence” if he performed. The police cited 22Gz’s criminal record. In 2017, he was accused of murder in Miami Beach in 2017, but prosecutors dropped the charges. The next year, he was found with a taser and a large stash of marijuana in Brooklyn and was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal trespassing, and criminal possession of marijuana.

Southside Throws Shade After Diddy Buys Yung Miami A Maybach Truck

A couple of days ago, rap artist, Yung Miami, boasted about the gift she’d received from “Papi,” better known as Diddy. While sipping on some champagne, the mother of two sat in the backseat of her brand new Mercedes Maybach truck. Showing off the exterior, the artist added an image that captured the glistening, white vehicle.

While celebs like Lala, Monica, and Latto congratulated the Miami native on her latest whip, one person, in particular, wasn’t blown away by the expensive purchase.

Southside, whose real name is Joshua Howard Luellen, is a 33-year-old record producer and rapper. He and the City Girls star sparked dating rumors in 2018 after social media users witnessed them flirting online. Over the course of their relationship, the two had multiple public disputes and produced a daughter named Summer before ultimately calling it quits in 2020.

Despite the relationship’s end, the former couple seized to bash each other at social media’s expense. In fact, Southside stood up for his child’s mother when Lil Uzi Vert talked about her online.

However, it appears that the tight bond they once shared is now nonexistent, as Southside had some things to say after witnessing his ex receive her Maybach.

The musician hopped online and recorded a video of himself, saying, “Yea yea, we don’t do that Maybach cars or trucks anymore. We do vans now– having these b*tches by the twos. Okay? Alright. Thank you.” Following his statement, a woman can be heard laughing in the background.

Just Blaze Reflects On The Making Of Jay-Z’s “Girls, Girls, Girls”

Just Blaze says that he originally created the beat for Jay-Z’s “Girls, Girls, Girls” with Ghostface Killah in mind and detailed how the track ended up on The Blueprint during a recent appearance on People’s Party With Talib Kweli. The iconic song features Biz Markie, Slick Rick, and Q-Tip.

“The Blueprint is kind the culmination of what we were tryna figure out on [The Dynasty: Roc La Familia] and [Beanie Sigel‘s] The Reason,” he explained, as noted by HipHopDX. “Hip-Hop [Kyambo Joshua] will tell you himself, Ghostface was his favorite rapper. So we were all definitely influenced by Supreme Clientele, specifically. When we were in that chamber, I had actually made ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’ for Ghost; about a year and a half before The Blueprint was ever a thought, that beat was already done.”

Just Blaze continued to say that once the overall tone of the album was settled on, he realized that the beat for “Girls, Girls, Girls” would be perfect for the tracklist.

He went on: “I remember Jay walking into the studio like, ‘Yo, I just got the CD from Ye, let’s go.’ And I’m like, ‘What we doin?’ And he says, ‘We’re back to the soul music.’ So the first thing I think of is that Ghost beat. Ghost is my brother now. At the time, I didn’t have the link to Ghost. So, I could hold out and pray that I meet Ghost one day; or this is the chamber that Jay’s in right now, boom.”

The Blueprint was released on September 11, 2001 and was instantly a hit. The project went on to be selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the United States National Recording Registry for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” in 2019.

While his album is approaching, Rocky has details about what fans can expect from the project limited. Speaking about the album Dazed back in May, Rock confirmed that the title would not be All Smiles, as rumored.

“I’m wrapping up the new album now; I’ve been shooting so many visuals for it,” he added. “I don’t want to be cliche or sound like a salesman, but I’ve pushed myself to the limit on everything. Going from that industrial, subversive sound from Testing and then graduating with a more polished sound…I just like where it is.”
