Ari Fletcher Turns Up To “F.N.F” In Front Of Moneybagg Yo

By now, dozens of celebrities and influencers have vibed to GloRilla’s hit single “F.N.F (Let’s Go).” Socialites like YaYa Mayweather, Travis Scott, and countless others have been captured singing and dancing to the tune. With its catchy, relatable lyrics and bass-filled beat, the record has undoubtedly become one of the year’s top songs.

Social media influencer Ari Fletcher is the most recent person to be seen turning up to the record. Video footage captured the 26-year-old in the club reciting the lyrics as the track blasted through the speakers. Ironically she pointed towards her boyfriend, Moneybagg Yo, as she rapped, “That mean I ain’t gotta worry about not f*ck n*gga cheating.”

Recently, the two sparked breakup rumors after the mother of one confirmed she was single on Twitter. She tweeted, “Happy, paid and single! Ready for everything new,” insinuating that her nearly three-year relationship had ended.

Following her alleged revelation, news of Bagg taking back the car he bought her started to spread. However, she quickly shut down those claims, tweeting, “Okay foreal, y’all are literally stupid. How can someone take something from me that’s in MY name? Please stop cause he is not even that type of person. We don’t address y’all on purpose but y’all are dragging it now.”

Despite all the drama, the two seem to be back on good terms. Last week, the two celebrated Bagg’s birthday, and the rapper congratulated her on being featured in Forbes.

Diddy Sparks Romance Rumors With Another Woman

Diddy’s flirtatious fling with Yung Miami’s been subject to some teasing, but a lot of fans are here for it. They’ve always shown each other love and appreciation, like when Diddy bought Yung Miami a Maybach truck this Friday. But some eagle-eyed Instagram users are doubtful after they caught a post from Papi’s previous rumored flame (and 50 Cent’s ex) Daphne Joy at the iHeart Radio Festival.

The posts are from Joy’s Instagram story, where she pictured the view from her flight to the festival and another post of her at the concert stage’s mixing board. The Bad Boy Chief performed at the festival, the plane Joy posted seemed like a private jet, they’ve been rumored to be together in the past… it’s adding up, right?

Well, a lot of commenters seem unfazed, whether Diddy flew Daphne out or not. While Diddy’s been the subject of a few romantic speculations over the past few years, no one pops up in those quite as often as Yung Miami. The City Girl denied that they were dating, then Diddy said he was dating her but he’s “single,” and they’ve been spotted being close on everything from dance floors to podcasts and award show after parties. As such, many in the comments haven’t caused a riot in the comments, as they place Yung Miami in the lead and see it as Sean Combs just doing his thing.

With all that’s been confirmed (and remains unknown) about Diddy and Yung Miami, fans might just let an artist fly their friend out to their show in peace. Stay tuned to HotNewHipHop for the latest on this romance and check out the aforementioned post and some more funny responses below.

John Legend Credits Kanye West & J. Ivy For His Name

Way back when, John Legend and Kanye West used to be good friends. But a few years ago, the two had a falling out, and recently Legend has been discussing with various outlets why exactly they parted ways.

But the bad blood hasn’t stopped Legend from giving credit where credit is due. In a recent interview with The New Yorker, Legend said that he wouldn’t have his stage name if it weren’t for Ye and the poet J. Ivy.

The “All Of Me” singer, whose real name is John Stephens, said that it was West and Ivy who encouraged him to adopt Legend as a surname before he dropped his debut album Get Lifted in 2004. “(J. Ivy) started calling me the Legend,” recalled the soul singer, “because I reminded him of some of the artists we grew up listening to, and he heard the ancestors in my voice. That morphed into John Legend, and he and Kanye and a bunch of the other people around us were, like, ‘Man, that’s a stage name, John. You should go with that!'”

Apparently, Legend was a bit hesitant to adopt the moniker. He thought the name was “rather presumptuous,” and he “had already been performing around New York and Philly as John Stephens.” “I was selling my CDs on my Web site, john-stephens[dot]com,” he added. At first, Legend remained just a nickname, but eventually Kanye began introducing him by the name to everyone they met, and so it started to stick.

“I was, like, ‘F**k, how am I going to tell people to call me John Legend? I don’t even have a record deal yet! What if I’m a flop? I’m just going to bet on myself and spend all my energy trying to live up to this lofty stage name,'” Legend remembered. “And that’s what I’ve been doing ever since.”

Joe Biden Says It’s Time To Ban Assault Weapons

President Biden tweeted yesterday (September 24), “It’s time we ban assault weapons in this country.” The tweet comes after the address he made last month in Pennsylvania, which mentioned the same goals.

During his speech, the 79-year-old said, “I’m determined to ban assault weapons in this country. Determined. I did it once before. And I’ll do it again,” he said in reference to the ban he instituted in the 1990s as a senator.

He continued, “For many of you at home, I want to be clear. It’s not about taking away anybody’s guns. In fact, we should be treating responsible gun owners as examples, how every gun owner should be.”

Biden also provided statistics during his talk, mentioning that nearly 50,000 people died from gunshot wounds in America just last year. Additionally, about 30,000 died by suicide.

The President also took shots at the National Rifle Association, better known as NRA. Founded in 1871, the gun advocacy group is based in the United States and has both fought for gun rights and taught firearm safety to those interested. “The vast majority of congressional Republicans voted against [the NRA], saving lives and keeping America safe. But guess what? We took on the NRA, we’re gonna take them on again. And we won and we will win again. We’re not stopping here.”

Hundreds of thousands of citizens are against the President’s notion, claiming that it greatly goes against their second amendment rights.

Tokyo Toni Goes Off On LGBTQ Community, “I Don’t Like Transgenders”

Tokyo Toni might be known for her deleterious relationship with her daughter, Blac Chyna, but she’s managed to make a name for herself in other ways. The 50-year-old has gotten a taste of virality multiple times throughout the years. From arguing on reality television to going on rants about different topics on social media, she has seen her fair share of headlines.

The mother of one, whose real name is Shalana Hunter, recently went on a tirade about the LGBTQ+ community. While driving in her car, Tokyo stated, “Whew! Cross-sex hormones. Give kids hormones then turn them into some f*ggots.” She continued by adding that “home training is everything,” insinuating that not having a present father results in confusion for children.

“They get rid of the man out of the house so that this f*ggot sh*t can go on,” she emphasized. She claimed that “real” men wouldn’t allow their children to do certain things, using the example, “‘Oh, Bobby, leave him alone. He’s playing with a doll; it’s okay.'”

Honing in on the subject, Tokyo stated that if your child is transgender, it’s because you didn’t teach them anything. “They’re supposed to hide that sh*t. Just like they were hiding that ‘coming out of the closet’ sh*t.”

She then used a prominent LGBTQ+ artist as an example– Saucy Santana, who has been very open about his sexuality and always advocates for his community. “Like that Santana person. You’re running around talking about some ‘Walk, Walk,’ with a full beard and mustache and hair wig,” she said to the camera.

She ended her rant by saying that she dislikes transgender people and doesn’t wish to be around them.

Chloe Bailey Turns Heads With Blue Rhinestone Bodysuit At iHeartRadio Music Festival

Chloe Bailey loves to put on a good show. In the past, she’s drawn comparisons to none other than Beyoncé, and has even gotten compliments from the legend.

Bailey’s performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas found her showing off her talent, and looks, once more. During her set, she performed several of her biggest hits while wearing a blue rhinestone bodysuit and fishnet tights in front of a packed crowd.

The 24-year-old singer was accompanied by backup dancers wearing blue unitards, and she routinely showed off her dance moves along with them. The show had echoes of her performance with her sister Halle back in June at the Something In The Water festival, which was equally suggestive and electric. During both sets, the Atlanta artist held the crowd captive.

Chloe rose to fame with her sister as the act Chloe x Halle. Their last album, Ungodly Hour, was released back in 2020. Chloe has yet to release an album of her own, but has been dropping singles left and right for a while now, the latest being “Surprise,” which she put out in June. Meanwhile, speculation that she and soccer star Memphis Depay are dating have been flying since Depay shared a birthday tribute to her in July.

The iHeartRadio Music Festival, which wrapped up yesterday, had a massive lineup this year, filled with artists from nearly every genre. The event was hosted by Ryan Seacrest and boasted names like Avril Lavigne, Lionel Richie, LL Cool J, Megan Thee Stallion, Morgan Wallen, Pitbull, Sam Smith, Black Eyed Peas, and Halsey.

Kid Cudi & Ty Dolla $ign’s New Collab Lands On Our “R&B Season” Playlist

Last week’s R&B Season update was primarily female-centred, sharing new songs from artists like Greentea Peng, Queen Naija, Ravyn Lenae, Doechii, and Kiana Ledé. This weekend, however, the genre’s male artists are getting plenty of love.

Kicking things off is a groovy new track from SiR called “Nothing Even Matters,” on which the Inglewood-born Top Dawg Entertainment artist sings about the love of his life, his wife, Kelly Ann, and how life is so much better when they’re together.

“(I can’t get enough) / Hard to believe I even found your love / (Diamond in the rough) / Light up the dark like the fire I’m sparkin’ up,” he sweetly sings on the chorus.

Following that is a new arrival from Q, called “Stereo Driver” – a self-produced, introspective single that marks the South Florida native’s first new arrival of 2022.

“Time” from Giveon comes next; the emotional song (co-written by Drake) was created for David O. Russell’s Amsterdam soundtrack and is sure to have your feelings after just one listen, whether you watch the forthcoming film or not.

Our final inclusion on this weekend’s update comes from Kid Cudi’s Entergalactic album in the form of a Ty Dolla $ign collab named “Willing To Trust” which has been well received by audiences thus far.

Mystikal Allegedly Forced Victim To Pray With Him Before Assault

New Orleans rapper Mystikal is facing a sexual assault case that has taken a twisted turn. New reports indicate that the rapper forced an alleged victim to pray with him before sexually assaulting her. According to an AllHipHop report, Mystikal was high on drugs and sought to eliminate the woman’s “bad spirits” before the heinous act.

The survivor, who remains unidentified, said the assault occurred at the rapper’s home in Prairieville on July 30th, after Mystikal accused her of stealing $100 from him. She claimed the 52-year-old got mad to the point of attacking her, pulling the braids out of her hair, and taking her keys and cell phone away to avoid escape. Additionally, he poured rubbing alcohol on her as he recited a few “Hail Marys.” When she was able to leave, she was treated at Baton Rouge General Hospital for injuries.

Mystikal was arrested in Louisiana, his home state, on July 31st and faces a first-degree rape charge, domestic abuse battery, strangulation, and robbery. He was also found to illegally possess Xanax, heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

The “No Limit” rapper has pled not guilty to these charges, although he has a history of assault allegations levied against him. In 2003, Mystikal pled guilty to charges of sexual battery and spent six years behind bars. He spent another two years in jail after a woman accused him of assault in 2017, but that case was dismissed.

Mystikal alleges that the latest survivor to come forward asked him for $1,000, and then threatened to accuse him of assault if he refused. His attorney has labeled the allegations as “bogus” while his client is held without bond in Ascension Parish Jail. He faces life in prison if convicted.

He was booked to appear on the No Limit Reunion Tour alongside Master P, Trick Daddy, Silkk the Shocker, and more.

DDG Shares Valedictorian Speech After Being Called Out For Racist Comments

Last week, a popular YouTuber, DDG, caught backlash after commenting on racism. During an interview with Bootleg Kev, the 24-year-old shared his opinion on Halle Bailey, his girlfriend, being criticized for her role in The Little Mermaid. Since the movie’s trailer was released, the songstress has been greatly discriminated against.

Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images

DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., shared his thoughts, saying, “I didn’t know people was this racist. I didn’t know this… I thought this sh*t was gone already. I thought this sh*t was gone. I thought Martin Luther King canceled this sh*t out… This sh*t is crazy.”

Social media users weren’t fond of his remarks, claiming they were inconsiderate and lacked substance. Of those critics was Amanda Seales, well-known comedian and actress. She found DDG’s comments so distasteful that she urged Halle to break up with him. “She might not get an STD, but she’s going to get STS– sexually transmitted stupidity,” she said in a video.

In response to all the negativity surrounding his statement, the YouTuber decided to share a video that showed one of his most significant accomplishments. The clip featured him on stage at his graduation, delivering his valedictorian speech. During his address to the class, he talked about being judged based on his looks yet still achieving greatness.

The post’s caption read, “I let these mfs think I’m stupid… Album September 30.”

Yung Gravy Reveals Tracklist & Cover Art For “Marvelous” New Album

No matter where you’ve been this past summer, you’ve probably heard Yung Gravy’s Rickroll-sampling hit, “Betty (Get Money).” It’s popped off on TikTok and social media, and the Minnesota rapper’s got some more heat in store for fans. His first full-length album in two years, Marvelous, will release on October 28th, and he’s just given fans a taste of what’s to come through a look at the cover art and tracklist. While Yung Gravy’s got a lot of eyes on him right now for dating Addison Rae’s mom, it seems he’s just as ready to have a great fall as he did a great summer.

The cover art points to Gravy’s cheeky and colorful homages to older-school styles, as it looks like a painting done for a ’50s or ’60s movie poster. He’s surrounded by beautiful dress-clad ladies, cigar smoke, martini glasses, and draped in a puffy coat, all in an image that screams both opulence and meme potential.

As far as the tracklist itself, the 26-year-old has tapped frequent collaborator bbno$ and viral artist Rich Brian, who already made a splash together with the single “C’est La Vie.” Two more features from TrippyThaKid and Ishdarr round out the features, so it seems that this will be a Gravy-heavy project that he’ll need to support with his own creativity and skill. He’s betting on himself, saying that this is his “best work yet guaranteed.”

Even if the album underperforms, Gravy’s got his feet firmly planted in the culture these days. Social media has reacted hilariously to Yung Gravy’s relationship with Addison Rae’s mother, with the TikTok star herself saying that this PR drama amid her parents’ separation has her feeling “mortified.” While you can stay tuned to HotNewHipHop for updates on Gravy’s MILF saga, we hope that the drama surrounding the couple doesn’t impact the music. You might be tired of “Betty (Get Money),” but you can’t deny the world needs more fun songs like that.
