O’Shea Jackson Jr Still Thinks Andrew Schulz’s Kendrick Lamar Rant Was “Weird”

In November, Kendrick Lamar unleashed his album GNX by surprise, and fans were quick to notice a vague reference in his track “wacced out murals.” In the song, he calls out an unnamed white comedian for talking about Black women. “Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law,” he raps. Immediately, listeners began to theorize that he was referring to Andrew Schulz, who had recently come under fire for perpetuating negative stereotypes about Black women on his podcast.

Schulz proceeded to respond to this theory, arguing that Kendrick is worried about protecting Black women from the wrong people. He also went on a rant about how he could sexually assault the Compton rapper if he wanted to, which for obvious reasons, raised some eyebrows. Countless social media users and peers weighed in on the controversy. While some came to his defense, others thought he crossed a line.

O’Shea Jackson Jr Reflects On X Spat With Andrew Schulz

Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr was among them, and promptly took to X to share his take. “Weird a** n***a,” he said of Schulz. “Man how people change on some weird sh*t. I was a fan.” Schulz responded by encouraging him to look up his father’s song “No Vaseline,” but Jackson Jr took the opportunity to set the record straight. “A metaphor about getting f*cked business wise by your manager Is not the same homie. He ain’t call you a b*tch. He ain’t say f*ck you. Didn’t even say your name. And your response was buck breaking. Sh*t was just cr*zy.”

Now, during a recent appearance on The Morning Hustle, Jackson Jr has doubled down. “It was weird,” he said simply. “I ain’t have no soapbox moment, I ain’t write a paragraph about the man. I don’t know why my statement had so much weight to it… Three words and a period. It was a weird thing to say.”

50 Cent’s Defense Of Andrew Schulz Amid Kendrick Lamar Feud Has The Internet Riled Up

50 Cent sat down with Andrew Schulz on the latest episode of the Flagrant podcast, amid the comedian’s ongoing feud with Kendrick Lamar. Discussing that topic, 50 brought up Schulz’s controversial rant about being able to sexually assault the GNX rapper. In the wake of 50 making light of the situation, and even coming to Schulz’s defense, fans on social media have not been happy.

“I’m a fan of your work, but I don’t understand what got into you that made you say you was gonna f##k Kendrick,” 50 said, before Schulz clarified that he said, “make sweet love.” 50 then jokingly apologized for the misinterpretation: “Oh, sweet love. I registered for it f*ck. This is from years and years of trauma. This comes from abuse from the neighborhood that I grew up in.”

From there, 50 discussed the backlash Schulz has been receiving for his rant. “For people to write petitions behind it, it’s crazy,” he said. “Look, I follow comedic culture. I watch the comedians. I enjoy them on another level. You are comedic. When I watch them [comedians], I look and I go, there’s no point that you could do something that actually damages what they’ve developed. Kat Williams can fight a 15-year-old kid that is his height and not do so well, right? It does no damage to Kat Williams. He’s still that guy.”

50 Cent Jokes About Drake & Kendrick Lamar

Fans on social media still aren’t happy with Schulz, regardless of 50’s stance. When AllHipHop shared a clip of the comments on Instagram, one top response reads: “They’ll always find one of us who’s willing to Sellout.” One more adds: “So…you bring the black rapper on the show to help ease the tension but it’s also the same rapper that’s been on press run in attempt to help the Toronto rapper last week…” Check out 50 Cent’s interview with Andrew Schulz below.

50 Cent Confronts Andrew Schulz For Making Insensitive Kendrick Lamar Jokes

Andrew Schulz somehow became a key narrative of Kendrick Lamar’s GNX, or at least, that’s what his reaction to a presumed diss on “wacced out murals” became. Moreover, for those unaware, the comedian joked on his Flagrant podcast about “making love” to Kendrick and that there was nothing the Compton rapper could do to stop it. The show’s most recent guest was 50 Cent, who chose to ask Schulz about these comments. The New York stand-up comic joked that his response was taken too aggressively, whereas 50 faked an apology to the camera for “misinterpreting” what Schulz had said before.

“I’m a fan of your work. But I don’t understand what got into you that made you say you was going to f**k Kendrick,” 50 Cent told Andrew Schulz about the Kendrick Lamar situation. “[…] Look, I follow comedic culture. I watch the comedians. I enjoy them on another level. What I appreciate about it is they are invincible. When I watch them, I look and I go, ‘There’s no point that you could do something that actually damages what they developed, what they built.’ Like, Katt Williams can fight a 15-year-old kid that’s his height. And not do so well, right? […] But it does no damage to Katt Williams, he’s still that guy.

50 Cent Asks Andrew Schulz About Kendrick Lamar Jokes

“I was watching Jamie Foxx’s new piece, right?” 50 Cent continued his comments about Andrew Schulz and Kendrick Lamar. “And he mentioned Katt in it. To me, it meant that he had to be relevant enough for Jamie to include him. And I don’t know, like, I want to laugh. If Andrew’s going to do something, my mind is prepared, I’m conditioned to laugh. I’m waiting for the punchline. It’s going to come. And I’m usually never let down. Jamie’s show, that s**t put me on a rollercoaster. He went to a place that I was, like, ‘Oh… Man.’ Like, my eyes was emotional.”

With all this in mind, we doubt we will hear the end of the Andrew Schulz and Kendrick Lamar saga anytime soon. Whether it’s 50 Cent giving another take or the rest of the hip-hop world debating it and reacting to it, it makes for a whole lot of stand-up material.

Andrew Schulz Labels Kendrick Lamar The “Taylor Swift” Of Hip-Hop & Claims His Team Reached Out To Charlamagne

Andrew Schulz has attempted to set the record straight about his feud with Kendrick Lamar. Speaking about the rapper during the latest episode of his The Brilliant Idiots podcast with Charlamagne Tha God, he compared him to Taylor Swift. Schulz also revealed that Lamar’s team allegedly contacted Charlemagne about the diss on his GNX track, “wacced out murals.”

“Kendrick really is the Taylor Swift of hip-hop,” Schulz began. “No matter what he does, he’s still the victim. You know how Taylor is always the victim? She’s the biggest in music in history, yet she’s a victim to the label, she’s a victim to Scooter [Braun], she’s a victim to her boyfriends. Yet, she’s still the biggest in the world. Somehow Kendrick is the victim here.” From there, he explained his interpretation of “wacced out murals” to be that Lamar was also dissing Schulz’s friends, primarily Charlamange and his other co-hosts, although Charlamagne disagreed.

After the release of “wacced out murals,” Schulz went on a fiery rant about being able to rape Lamar. Continuing to explain the timeline of events, he added: “So, Kendrick’s people reached out to you to try to clarify. They’re like, ‘Oh, we didn’t want say– we came to you and people are thinking this.’ They’re doing their little due diligence with you right? But, nobody else knows that. They think it’s you. They think it’s you. And, y’all get death threats. I’m getting death threats and they’re posting pictures of my little kid. I haven’t said anything. I’m filming my special.” He went on to then justify his wild rant by arguing that the rapper’s alleged fans on the internet already crossed a line.

Andrew Schulz Speaks On Kendrick Lamar Yet Again

In turn, Schulz suggested that the near-universal backlash to his rant was hypocritical. Check out Andrew Schulz’s latest remarks on Kendrick Lamar below.

Ice Cube Supports His Son O’Shea Jackson Jr. Against Andrew Schulz Amid Kendrick Lamar Drama

Who knew that one of the most conversation-sparking bars on Kendrick Lamar’s new album GNX would be the one allegedly dissing Andrew Schulz? Well, the comedian took the presumed diss to heart, and there have been a lot of condemning reactions to his jokes about the Compton lyricist in the aftermath. O’Shea Jackson Jr., for example, called Schulz out. “Weird ass n***a,” he shared on Twitter. “Man how people change on some weird s**t. I was a fan.” Jackson Jr. probably got some of this combative energy from his father Ice Cube, who penned one of the best diss tracks of all time in “No Vaseline.”

Furthermore, the Los Angeles icon actually recently responded to O’Shea Jackson Jr’s attacks against Andrew Schulz for his Kendrick Lamar comments. TMZ asked him about the situation at the LAX airport on Thursday (December 12), and he’s fully in support of Jackson Jr. “He can handle that all day, any day. That’s light work,” Ice Cube said of his son’s criticisms of the comedian. As for Schulz himself, Cube had harsher words: “Come with some better jokes, homie.”

Ice Cube’s Son Goes Off On Andrew Schulz

In response to Ice Cube’s son, Andrew Schulz had the following comment to make via a Twitter reply: “Google ‘No Vaseline’ by Ice Cube [shocked face emoji].” “A metaphor about getting f***ed business wise by your manager is not the same homie,” O’Shea Jackson Jr. clapped back. “He ain’t call you a b***h. He ain’t say f**k you. Didn’t even say your name. And your response was buck breaking. S**t was just crazy.” While there’s still some fallout from this whole situation, it’s starting to die down in the media. So maybe there’s another chapter to these back-and-forth responses, or we can nip this in the bud.

Beyond supporting his son against Andrew Schulz, though, Ice Cube has plenty of other, more important endeavors to focus on. For example, he recently released his new album Man Down, which hardcore fans seem quite pleased with given the reception to it overall. We’ll see if he has more takes on some of today’s most divisive or combative hip-hop topics.

ScHoolBoy Q Hilariously Dismisses Andrew Schulz As Kendrick Lamar Feud Intensifies

ScHoolBoy Q has shared some blunt thoughts on Andrew Schulz when asked about the comedian who has been criticizing his longtime collaborator, Kendrick Lamar. When asked for his thoughts on Schulz, ScHoolBoy simply remarked, “He’s white,” before walking away from the camera. A clip of the interaction has been circulating on social media since Wednesday night.

“Basically, that weirdos opinion doesn’t matter to him and the home team,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter. Another added: “He responded like an irritated dad being told about some foolishness. How embrassing that is for Schulz.”

Schulz has been discussing Kendrick Lamar on his Flagrant podcast since the rapper dissed him on his GNX track, “wacced out murals.” At one point, he went on a tirade about being able to sexually assault Lamar. “I would make love to him and the only thing he could do is decide if it’s consensual or not,” he said. “That’s the only thing he could do. If it’s me and Kendrick, it’s about physics. I don’t even know if I’ll get hard.” During the latest episode, he accused him of paying fans to protest his upcoming comedy show.

Andrew Schulz Claims Kendrick Lamar Is Paying People To Protest His Comedy Show

Andrew Schulz continued discussing Kendrick Lamar on Wednesday during the latest episode of his Flagrant podcast. In doing so, he accused the “Not Like Us” rapper of paying people to protest at his upcoming stand-up show in Hawaii.

After beginning by admitting that Kendrick Lamar’s team probably isn’t behind this situation, he quickly started hinting that they likely are the only ones who could afford to set up the alleged scheme. “Whose gonna have that kinda money?” he asked. “Probably a really obsessive fan. I’m not saying it’s coming from their team. I’m not saying it’s coming from Kendrick. By the way, they’re paying full price. That’s not 30% off like their streams. This is a full-price thing that they’re paying. Imagine being an artist’s artist who really believes in creativity and then censoring other artists.”

He continued: “Now, I’m not saying it’s Kendrick. It’s probably just one random fan with millions of dollars that he would like to deploy to protest a show in Hawaii of mine. Probably has nothing to do with the team freaking out and in shambles because they’ve never been made fun of on the internet and their only reaction is to go, ‘You’re racist because you wanna butt-f*ck my guy.’”

Andrew Schulz Continues Going After Kendrick Lamar

Schulz has been upset with Kendrick Lamar since the release of his GNX track, “wacced out murals,” on which the Compton rapper seemingly disses him. In responding to the lyrics, Schulz went on a strange rant about being able to sexually assault Lamar. “I would make love to him and there’s nothing he could do about it. Just Kendrick Lamar,” he said during a recent podcast. “I would make love to him and the only thing he could do is decide if it’s consensual or not. That’s the only thing he could do. If it’s me and Kendrick, it’s about physics. I don’t even know if I’ll get hard.” Check out Schulz’s latest comments on Kendrick Lamar below.

Matt Barnes Insists Andrew Schulz “Crossed A Line” With Kendrick Lamar Assault Joke

Late last month, Kendrick Lamar surprise-dropped his new album GNX, which has since been a huge success. Immediately after the release, listeners began to speculate about a few of the Compton rapper’s bars. One in particular has sparked a great deal of controversy, as some suspect it was directed at Andrew Schulz. “Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law,” Kendrick raps on “wacced out murals.”

Schulz went on to respond to the apparent call-out on his Flagrant podcast, making it clear that he doesn’t think he’s done anything wrong. He even joked that he could sexually assault Kendrick during a bizarre rant, which for obvious reasons, didn’t sit right with many. Countless social media users expressed their outrage over the rant, arguing that Schulz took things too far. This now includes Matt Barnes, who weighed in on the debacle during a recent episode of All The Smoke Unplugged.

Matt Barnes Weighs In On Andrew Schulz Controversy

In a clip, he accuses Schulz of chasing clout and claims that the comedian crossed a line. “Andrew Schulz has been consistently day in, day out going in and trying to grow from this,” he began. “If you want to respond to what Kendrick said in the song, although he didn’t name no names, I don’t think no one had a problem with that. But obviously, I feel like you crossed a line when you started talking about taking his manhood and just disrespecting him as a man… And now you want to cry about the reaction that you’ve been getting from the sh*t you’ve said. I’m not sure what you expected, bro.”

Barnes isn’t the only one who wasn’t feeling Schulz’s response, however. Ice Cube’s oldest son O’Shea Jackson Jr, for example, also took to X to share his thoughts last week. This prompted a heated back and forth, during which Jackson Jr. called Schulz a “Weird a** n***a.”

DJ Akademiks Continues To Defend Andrew Schulz By Calling Out Kendrick Lamar’s Hypocrisy

Andrew Schulz probably didn’t expect himself to be at the center of a new piece of Kendrick Lamar and Drake drama, but he certainly doubled down on it. That caused even more controversy given how he joked about sexually assaulting K.Dot in response to GNX‘s presumed “wacced out murals” diss, which didn’t even name-drop the comedian. But some folks, like DJ Akademiks, think that the indignant reactions to this debacle from Kendrick fans is hypocritical. This is because of how the Compton lyricist connected Drizzy to grooming and underage intimacy allegations and how some folks excused that attack.

“What has Kendrick done to everybody?” DJ Akademiks questioned. “Because it’s so hypocritical. No one stands on these supposed principles. Yo, Kendrick said Drake is a certified – ‘Yo, everything is fair in hip-hop, man. Ain’t no rules to this s**t, man. Lying has always been a part of hip-hop. N***a, ain’t no rules. This is hip-hop, n***a. Don’t start no beef if you don’t want to go there.’ A white comedian gets dissed and says, ‘I’m gonna f**k’ – It’s like, ‘Whoa! Whoa! What’s going on? Draw the line, weirdo! How could he speak like this?’

DJ Akademiks Calls Out Kendrick Lamar Fans’ Hypocrisy In Andrew Schulz Drama

“What is it?” DJ Akademiks asked of Kendrick Lamar fans angry at Andrew Schulz. “‘Cause y’all just have one standard? And I agree with that, too. Is it no rules or is it rules? The same motherf***ers who be like, ‘Yo, so what if he lied and called Drake a certified p*dophile?’ But as soon as I make fun of his song, ‘Yo, chill, chill! I don’t even know if that s**t’s true. That’s just, like, playing off of a song.’ But he can say anything he wants. So you get to realize, man, this s**t a whole bunch of bulls**t.”

Of course, there’s a lot more nuance here that DJ Akademiks – or many other media figures, for that matter – isn’t fully unpacking. Kendrick Lamar dissing white comedians is very different from Andrew Schulz using that as trigger-happy provocation, particularly in a sexual assault context. But it is true that Kendrick fans making a fuss out of the fallout have to reckon with what personal attacks and oversteps they trusted.

“The Joe Budden Podcast” Reacts To Andrew Schulz’s Kendrick Lamar Rape Joke

Last month, Kendrick Lamar dropped his new album GNX with zero notice. Fans were quick to point out one bar on “wacced out murals” referencing a white comedian. “Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law,” he raps. Immediately, social media users began to theorize that he was talking about Andrew Schulz, who had recently come under fire for making a controversial joke about Black women.

Schulz addressed the apparent call-out on his Flagrant podcast, indicating that he doesn’t think he did anything wrong. He even went on to joke that he could rape Kendrick Lamar, which earned mixed reactions from listeners. While many argued that he was making an innocent joke, others were disturbed and thought he took things entirely too far. He’s been criticized by several social media users, but some are coming to his defense. This includes Ian Dunlap, who pointed out the hypocrisy he sees in the situation during a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.

Ian Dunlap Thinks Andrew Schulz Controversy Is Hypocritical

“Kendrick called Drake a pedophile for f*ckin’ five months, but the whole world got mad at a joke? Okay, it’s hypocritical,” he claimed. He’s not the only one who’s come to Schulz’s defense recently, however. Adam22 also stuck up for the comedian on X last week. He claimed that people were simply pretending to be outraged because they didn’t like Schulz.

“Andrew Schulz is objectively hilarious and all the hip hop fans who are complaining about some jokes should go jump off a bridge,” he wrote. “It’s 2024 and the whole ‘get offended by everything and constantly complain about it on twitter’ thing is over. You listen to rap, inarguably the edgiest, most offensive form of popular music. Spare us the fake outrage to try and get people you don’t like out the paint.” Others like TDE’s Punch, Meek Mill, Peter Rosenberg, and more have publicly addressed Schulz’s rant and think he crossed the line.
