He and the Chicago Bulls knocked out the Utah Jazz in six games. However, in Game 5, Jordan battled through food poisoning and dropped a whopping 38 points.

At the time, this was a huge accomplishment that was nicknamed the “Flu Game.” Moreover, the Air Jordan 12 “Bred” colorway he was wearing at the time got the very same nomenclature. Since that time, Jordan Brand has sought to give fans a ton of retros of this model. As TMZ reports, Goldin Auctions has just sold the game-worn Jordan 12s from that infamous game. Yes, that’s right, one lucky bidder now has THE “Flu Game” sneaker that Jordan used in Game 5 of the ’97 Finals.

Michael Jordan Shoes Get Huge Price Tag

As Ken Goldin explained to the outlet, these shoes sold for a massive price of $1.38 million. This is truly huge for a sneaker, however, it still isn’t the largest sale for a shoe worn by Michael Jordan. Instead, a sneaker from his final NBA Finals sold for more. That said, this is still a historic sale that probably made the lucky winner very happy. However, their wallet is probably feeling some immediate effects right now.

Although, the people want to know if the original aesthetic will be respected. Based on these images, we can safely say, “yes.” Firstly, the sneaker is covered in white leather on top. Secondly, we get a nice red overlay on the sides that extends over to the toe box. Lastly, there is some black throughout the shoe, particularly on the back heel and the insole.

As for the release date, this shoe is expected to drop on October 28th. Moreover, it will be coming out in sizes for the whole family. Whether or not these are high in stock, remains to be seen. A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 12 Collection Officially Unveiled

A Ma Maniére is one of the most beloved sneaker boutiques in the United States. While there are multiple locations, the boutique is mostly known for its work within Atlanta. Overall, A Ma Maniére has been praised for a wide variety of Air Jordan collaborations. In just the last few years, AMM has worked on the Air Jordan 1, the Air Jordan 2, the Air Jordan 3, and even the Air Jordan 4. Needless to say, Jumpman loves working with the boutique thanks to their amazing aesthetics that always seem to please sneakerheads.

Throughout 2023, AMM and Jumpman have promised to continue working with one another. After all, why wouldn’t they? Their collaborations continue to sell out upon release, and at this point, the collabs are a good look for both companies. Moreover, there are still a ton of great Jumpman silhouettes that AMM has yet to work on. As it turns out, the next A Ma Maniére x Jumpman collab is on the Air Jordan 12. In the images throughout, you can see that this shoe is getting two color schemes with similar motifs. For instance, the upper of the shoe on the black model is, you guessed it, black. Additionally, the front and the midsole are decked out in burgundy. From there, the other silhouette is covered in white leather while the front is burgundy. Burgundy is a mainstay of the A Ma Maniére aesthetic and it certainly works well on these Jumpman silhouettes.

If you are interested in this collaboration, both silhouettes will be available as of February 24th for a price of $225 USD. According to a new post from Instagram sneaker insider @zsneakerheadz, the Air Jordan 12 “Cherry” is potentially going to come back this year. That would certainly be huge as the “Cherry” model is fairly beloved. It is an OG model, and it is one that fans have wanted back.

As you can see from the image below, the shoe has that iconic Michael Jordan Bulls flair to it. Firstly, the upper is covered in white leather. From there, we get some nice red that goes from the toe box to the mudguard. Subsequently, black is placed on the back heel tab and the inner lining of the shoe.

Hopefully, this rumor is true. The Jordan 12 is great, but having a retro release this year would certainly help bring forth some hype. As for the silhouette as a whole, we’re sure the brand has plenty of colorways on the horizon.

According to @zsneakerheadz, this new Air Jordan 12 is called “Field Purple.” Immediately upon looking at this shoe, you could make the argument that this is some sort of Lakers color scheme. However, not everything has to be about the NBA’s most popular team.

Firstly, this shoe opens up with a black leather upper. This is fairly typical for most Jumpman shoes, although it creates a solid foundation. Secondly, the leather strip that goes from the side to the toe box is purple. Additionally, purple is placed on the midsole, as well. Lastly, we have some gold highlights near the laces and the tongue.

As a whole, this shoe is very nice. While this is only a photoshop rendering, we’re sure that some fantastic official images are on the horizon. Needless to say, 2023 will be a good year for the Jordan 12.

One of the more underrated Jumpman models to ever be released is the Air Jordan 12. This shoe came out the same year that Michael Jordan got his very own imprint within Nike. It was a dope shoe from the jump and it even helped Jordan during his “Flu Game.”

According to @zsneakerheadz, 2023 is going to bring us a women’s exclusive Jordan 12. Interestingly enough, this model is going to be inspired by the WNBA. The logo of that league is orange, and that is exactly what we get with this new model.

Firstly, this shoe opens up with a predominantly black leather upper. Secondly, we have orange on the midsole and the strip that goes from the midfoot to the toe box. Altogether, these elements form a dope shoe that male sneakerheads will potentially be jealous of.

One could even make the comparison to the “Shattered Backboard” aesthetic that has become so popular within Jumpman lore. However, this shoe will certainly be looking to forge its own path. Needless to say, this silhouette has a bright future throughout 2023 and most certainly beyond.
