Kanye Fan Trolls Pete Davidson, Asks Him To Sign Yeezy Slides

Kanye West’s tumultuous relationship with comedian Pete Davidson has been no secret to the public. While the rapper has, in recent months, refrained from openly criticizing Davidson, it seems that his fans are keeping the flame alive by playfully reminding the comedian of his former association with West. A humorous incident came to light over the weekend when footage circulated of Pete Davidson signing autographs for a fan. In a funny turn of events, the fan made a request: he wanted Davidson to sign his Yeezy slides with the name “Skete.” Initially, Davidson appeared taken aback by the request. However, showing his playful and good-humored side, Davidson eventually agreed, saying, “Yeah, you know what, why not?”

As audiences can recall, “Skete” is a nickname that Kanye used to call Pete Davidson all the time while he was involved with Kim at the time. Amused by the idea, Pete Davidson went a step further by revealing his intention to capitalize on the “Skete” name. He mentioned plans to purchase all the extra pairs of Yeezy slides and personalize them with the words “Skete.” He then joked and said the custom “Skete” versions of the Yeezy slides would then be offered as merchandise at his comedy shows. The fan encouraged him to move forward with that idea.

Fan Asks Davidson For An Autograph

Kanye did catch a lot of flack for creating the nickname “Skete,” with many people saying it was disrespectful. One person in particular, Charlamagne The God expressed his thoughts on the Brilliant Idiots podcast. “I think that’s a horrible name to call somebody who’s currently with your ex-wife,” said Charlamagne. “Skete!? Why is that even in your mind? Why are you putting that in other people’s minds?” Davidson on the other hand, has undoubtedly embraced the playful side of this ongoing saga.

In other news, Pete Davidson has been getting busy with other things. In fact, he’s got a new side hustle selling VHS tapes. He mentioned on an episode of The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon that he’s purchased somewhere between 3,000 and 5,000 VHS tapes. He plans on reselling them in 2026 like vintage vinyls. “So, as of a month ago, sealed VHSes are now going for like 20 to 30 grand a pop,” he said on the show. “Rocky just sold for like $27,000. Yeah, it’s my GameStop! Like, dude, I own all of them. Dude, no one believed in me.”

Kanye West x Adidas Yeezy Q3 Sales Numbers Revealed

Kanye West and Adidas had a long and prosperous relationship before he essentially threw it all away. Of course, he did this back in 2022 thanks to his anti-semitic messages and ramblings on social media. Overall, a lot of people were disappointed with Ye. It makes sense that people would feel this way. After all, people rightfully thought their favorite artist would be above Nazi rhetoric. However, Ye proved people to be wrong, and he has since gone into a quasi-exile out in Italy.

Originally, Adidas had dropped Ye entirely. However, they eventually had a change of heart once they saw that they were bleeding money. Moreover, the brand had about $1 billion worth of Yeezy stock that was being stored in their warehouse. They needed a way to cut some of that stock loose without losing a ton of money. This subsequently led to a temporary contract in which Adidas began selling some of Kanye’s sneakers, for a limited time until the stock was all sold off.

Kanye West Helps Adidas Recover

Overall, this strategy has been very successful for Adidas. They have been able to make up a lot of ground, and their losses aren’t nearly as bad as before. New reporting from The New York Post shows that in Q3, Adidas made $160 million from the sale of Yeezys. This was huge for them as they are now only on track to lose $100 million as opposed to the estimated $450 million. Needless to say, the Kanye effect is still very much a real thing.

Only time will tell whether or not Adidas and Ye decide to renew their partnership permanently. If Ye is able to redeem himself and get out of his own way, then it is likely that Adidas would want the Yeezy brand back in its grasp. Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the sneaker world. We will always keep you informed.

Kanye West Is Not A “Bad Person,” Says Adidas CEO

Kanye West used to have a very lucrative deal with Adidas. Overall, the Yeezy brand was extremely strong and was responsible for just how successful Adidas was in the industry. However, once Ye started spewing anti-semitic remarks, it became clear that they needed to cut ties. Unfortunately for Adidas, this left a $1.3 billion hole in the company. Since that time, the brand has tried to let go of its Yeezy stock, and so far, it has proven to be extremely successful.

Given everything that has happened between these two, you would expect Adidas and its CEO, Bjorn Gulden, to be upset. However, that is very much not the case. Instead, Gulden is taking all of this in stride. In fact, while speaking on the In Good Company podcast, Gulden was very complimentary of the rapper. He even noted how sometimes, having to get rid of a collaborator is just the cost of doing business. “when you work with third parties that can happen. It’s part of the game. That can happen with an athlete, with an entertainer. It’s part of the business,” Gulden said.

Bjorn Gulden Defends Kanye West

From there, Gulden explained how Kanye is a creative genius and that what he did with Adidas was simply spectacular. “I think Kanye West is one of the most creative people in the world, both in music and what I would call street culture. He’s extremely creative,” Gulden noted. Subsequently, he claimed that he believes Ye does not actually agree with what he has said about Jewish people in the media. “I don’t think he meant what he said and I don’t think he’s a bad person, it just came across that way,” Gulden remarked.

Most people probably wouldn’t give Ye this kind of benefit of the doubt. Especially not if they were the CEO of Adidas, who now has to oversee massive revenue losses. Regardless, it seems like Gulden might be open to collaborating with Ye again in the future. Only time will tell whether or not that is actually in the cards.

You cannot go wrong here, especially if you aren’t even sure which color may suit you best. (Image via Stadium Goods)

Foam Runner “Desert Sand”

Although, if getting a Fall-ready offering is your goal, then these are great. (Image via Stadium Goods)

Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner “Flax”

“Stand Up To Jewish Hate” Pins May Be Included With Kanye West’s Yeezy Restock

According to reports, Adidas could be including a pin with each new pair of Yeezys since their restock. The pin calls purchasers to “stand up to Jewish hate,” a reference to Kanye West’s antisemitic comments over the past year or so. Adidas cut ties with Kanye in October of 2022, after he Tweeted that he’d be going death con [sic] 3 on Jewish people.

Though Ye’s antics and hate speech made it clear why the brand no longer wanted to be associated with him, the brand still had over $1 billion worth of Yeezy inventory. In order to offload the sneakers, they decided to do a restock. Some of the profits went to Adidas, some to Kanye, and the rest to the Anti-Defamation League and the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change. Though the decision to restock remained controversial, it looks like the brand could be taking steps to make their stance known.

Pins Call For Purchasers To Join Fight Against Anti-Semitism

One Twitter user claims to have purchased a pair of Yeezy Foam Runners which came with a note and pin. “#StandUpToJewishHate by wearing, posting, and sharing the blue square, the universal symbol for fighting antisemitism,” the note reads. It’s unconfirmed at this point whether this was included by the store selling the sneakers or Adidas itself. With that being said, other social media users have claimed that they’ve recently purchased Yeezy that came without the pin.

Either way, the pin serves to acknowledge Kanye’s hateful tirade against Jewish people. This is something that purchasers could appreciate, particularly if they were personally affected by Ye’s antisemitic fallout. Though several stores have now started to sell Yeezys again, not every retailer is on board. Recently, it was reported that Foot Locker decided last minute not to restock the brand in their stores. Adidas’ initial restock was massive, allowing them to offload $437 million worth of the sneakers.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “Granite” Blessed With New Restock

Overall, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 is one of the greatest sneakers to come out of the Kanye West camp. Although it was a shoe that took some getting used to, it eventually became a classic. These days, this sneaker is pretty well inescapable. Before the end of the Adidas and Yeezy partnership, this sneaker got a ton of new colorways. Moreover, now that the partnership is back on for a limited time only, the 350 V2 has been subjected to a plethora of incredible restocks. This has made fans very excited and for good reason.

If you have been paying attention to these restocks, then you know that there have been a whole plethora of 350 V2 models to return. This has proven to be an amazing restock, with lots of shoes selling out pretty well instantly. However, you will notice that both old and new colorways are part of this restock. One of the older colorways, is the “Granite” model which can be found down below.

As you will see in this official image, the shoe has a fairly neutral look to all of it. Firstly, the shoe has a primeknit upper covered in dark grey. Secondly, we get similar-colored laces to add some uniformity. From there, the black stripe shows up on the side with “SPLY-350” written in grey. This is a colorway that works perfectly for this particular silhouette. Especially with the grey reinforced Boost midsole that brings it all together.

The restock for this shoe has already happened, however, these can still be found online in a plethora of sizes. Overall, it is good to see these back in larger quantities. It’s likely they will never be released again. Let us know what you think of this sneaker, in the comments section below. Adidas’ First Yeezy Restock Led To Astronomical Sales

Adidas found itself in a bit of a jam a few months ago thanks to the likes of Kanye West. The famous artist decided to go on a pretty wild tirade against Jewish people. Overall, some felt it was just a ploy to get out of his business deals. However, once he started hanging out with Nick Fuentes and going on Info Wars, it became clear that he had lost it. Consequently, the three stripes brand cut ties with Ye, and immediately tried to move on. Unfortunately, that proved to be almost impossible.

The brand quickly realized that it had over $1 billion worth of Yeezy inventory in its warehouses. With profits suffering, Adidas decided to cut a deal with Kanye to sell off the rest of the inventory, once and for all. Once the stock gets sold, Ye and Adidas are done for good. Well, a new restock is happening this week, and many are expressing curiosity over how well the first one went. According to reporting from Rolling Stone, it is a move that definitely worked out in Adidas’ favor.

As the publication reports, Adidas was able to sell $437 million worth of Yeezys. However, not all of this is going to Adidas directly. Some of this money has to go to Kanye. Moreover, the brand has pledged funds to the Anti-Defamation League and the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change. They are doing this as a way to make up for some of the harm that was done by Ye’s disastrous press run.

With another restock upon us, there is no doubt that the brand will recoup a whole lot more cash. Let us know if you will be copping anything, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the sneaker world.

Kanye West Court Battle May Continue As Adidas Starts Selling Yeezys Again

Kanye West may have the last laugh in the battle against Adidas, after all. Yesterday, Kanye won against the brand in court. The rapper has been engaged in a legal battle with Adidas for the past six months. The conflict began when Kanye publicly expressed his desire to end his deal with them. However, Adidas, recognizing Kanye’s significant financial value, was reluctant to let him go. Kanye then resorted to making anti-Semitic remarks, which ultimately forced Adidas to sever ties with him due to the financial implications. Obviously, in this day and age, it is not advisable for a company to associate with someone that makes the kinds of remarks that Kanye made.

Recently, it was confirmed that Adidas had frozen Kanye’s assets, including $75 million across his Yeezy bank accounts. Kanye fought to regain control of his assets. Yesterday, he scored a temporary win when a judge denied Adidas’ request for an emergency re-freeze. Adidas will now seek a normal asset freeze in the coming days, but it remains uncertain whether they will be successful in their efforts. Now, the company plans to begin selling off its backstock of Yeezys. There is, however, one caveat. They will be donating a portion of the proceeds to fight against antisemitism.

Adidas Uses Kanye To Fight Antisemitism

Kanye West aka Ye is seen on October 28, 2022 in Los Angeles, California (Photo by MEGA/GC Images)

Adidas has announced a plan to sell the remaining inventory of Kanye West’s Yeezy sneakers. They will donate a portion of the proceeds to organizations working against discrimination, hate, racism, and antisemitism. The company’s CEO, Bjorn Gulden, stated that selling and donating the inventory was the preferred option among stakeholders. The benefiting organizations include the Anti-Defamation League and the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change. Adidas is also considering additional releases of existing inventory.

Today, the plan went into action on Adidas’ official site, where they advertised the sale of “some of the remaining inventory.” They also highlighted the donation aspect. The products available include both existing designs and designs initiated in 2022 for sale in 2023. The announcement has no immediate impact on Adidas’ financial guidance for 2023. What do you think about the battle between Kanye and Adidas? Who do you think will have the last laugh in the end? Sound off in the comments below!
