Aaron Rodgers Hints At Retirement Again

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers were eliminated from playoff contention last night. It was certainly a rough go for Packers fans, as they lost by four points to the Detroit Lions. They needed to win to get in, however, Rodgers ended up coming short after a lackluster performance.

As a whole, this season was not kind to Rodgers. He struggled with his rookie receivers at the start of the year, and by the time they got chemistry, it was just a bit too late. Overall, it was a bad way to end the season, especially after being a perennial threat to win the Super Bowl.

Aaron Rodgers Retiring?

Just like in seasons past, Rodgers is now hinting at retirement. He typically does this whenever he is eliminated from the playoffs. However, now he is doing it after not making the playoffs, entirely. In the clip below, courtesy of TMZ Sports, you can see exactly what Rodgers had to say after his team lost to the Lions. Overall, he sounds pretty dejected.

“At some point the carousel comes to a stop and it’s time to get off,” Rodgers said. “I feel good about what I’ve accomplished in this league and wouldn’t have any regrets walking away. But I gotta see what it feels like once I get away from this.”

Rodgers had signed an extension last summer after indicating that he wanted to be traded. Clearly, Rodgers was just saying that for leverage, and it ultimately worked in his favor. Now, however, it is truly up in the air as to whether or not he will ever return.

Aaron Rodgers Brutally Roasted By Lions TikTok Account

Aaron Rodgers is a quarterback who has been heavily criticized over the last few years. Much of this has been due to the fact that he refused to get vaccinated. He lied about his immunization status, and it has led to a whole lot of roasting on social media.

Overall, Rodgers has had a fairly off year with the Green Bay Packers. Just a few weeks ago, this team had no shot of making it to the playoffs. They had suffered multiple bad losses that had Rodgers looking old. However, in recent weeks, they had picked up the pace and needed a win against the Lions on Sunday to make it to the playoffs.

In the end, Rodgers and the Packers actually came up fairly short. They lost 20-16, and now, they will not be in the postseason. Instead, the Seattle Seahawks will get their spot. Overall, it is unfortunate for Rodgers, who felt like he had some revenge to get on those who doubted his teammates.

Lions Destroy Aaron Rodgers

Previously, Rodgers had some interesting comments about the Lions and their record. He made it seem like they aren’t a team he needs to worry about. Of course, that did not sit right with the team, who promptly roasted him on social media after Sunday night’s tilt.

In the clip below, you can find a TikTok in which Rodgers and his statements are obliterated by the Lions’ social media team. The sounds that are used are quite humorous, and overall, it has to be nice if you’re a Lions fan.

Unfortunately for the Lions, they will not be going to the playoffs this year either. They finished with a 9-8 record, however, the Seahawks won on Sunday which put them over the edge for the final Wild Card spot.

Lil Wayne Reacts To Packers Missing Playoffs

Lil Wayne responded to the Green Bay Packers missing the playoffs on Twitter, Sunday. Following the team’s Week 18 loss to the Detroit Lions, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers were eliminated from the postseason.

“Pls do me a favor and don’t call or text me I don’t want talk,” Wayne wrote on Twitter after the loss.

After the game, Rodgers prompted speculation about his future with the organization as NBC cameras caught him refusing to give Jameson Williams his jersey. Rodgers explained that he’s “gonna hold on to this one.”

Rodgers addressed his NFL future more formally in the postgame press conference.

“It’s a little raw right now,” Rodgers told reporters. “It’s just a little bit after the game, so I wanna take the emotion out of it and have conversations and see where the organization is, and see how I feel after some time has passed.”

“Do I feel like I have anything left to prove to myself?” he later asked. “Do I wanna go back and gear up for another grind? Or is it time? Is it time to step away? Is it time for another voice to be leading this team? I think I need to get away and contemplate those things. … It could be time to step away. But I could take some time and say, ‘Hell no, man, I need to get back out there and go another run.’ But I’ll have to see what it feels like once I’m away from it.”

Wayne, who has been a lifelong Packers fan, has previously stated that the team should’ve already gotten rid of Rodgers.

Despite the win for the Lions, the Seattle Seahawks took the final playoff spot in the NFC.

Aaron Rodgers Leads Packers to Win & In Scenario with Victory Over Vikings

After opening the season with poor play, many wrote off the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers. Last month, the Packers were 4-8, facing requests for Jordan Love to take over for AR12. Now, they win next week, and they are in the playoffs.

After routing the Minnesota Vikings, Rodgers hit the podium calling the moment to host the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field and get in the playoffs “special.”

“It’s been an interesting year,” said Rodgers. “It hasn’t been my best football at times, but I’ve been asked to step up my leadership and be someone the guys can count on to keep it together, even when it doesn’t seem like there’s anything to play for or we don’t have a chance to make a run. There’s been a lot of special moments throughout the year.”

On Sunday, Rodgers threw for 159 yards and one touchdown.

SOURCE SPORTS: Aaron Rodgers Agrees to a 4 Year Extension To Remain the Packers’ Quarterback

That bad man Aaron Rodgers is staying put in Green Bay. Rodgers and the Packers have agreed to a four-year, $200 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports. The $50 million salary makes Rodgers the highest-paid player in NFL history.

Rodgers posted on social media that while he will be back with the Packers, the reported terms of his deal are inaccurate.

In capturing MVP honors, Rodgers had a historic 2021 season, completing 68.9% of his passes for 4,115 yards with 37 touchdowns to just four interceptions for a 111.9 passer rating. He led the NFL in touchdown percentage (7.0), interception percentage (0.8), and passer rating.

Rodgers staying with the Packers means the team can now focus on getting more pieces around him to get them back to the Super Bowl. With Tom Brady retired and Russell Wilson now in Denver, Rodgers is not only the best quarterback in the NFC, but he is also currently the most secured one.

Aaron Rodgers Calls of Engagement to Shallene Woodley

aaron rodgers shailene woodley

A Super Bowl championship ring won’t likely be the only ring that Aaron Rodgers won’t be getting in 2022 as the Green Bay quarterback recently ended his engagement to actress Shallene Woodley.

The news comes just a year after Rodgers, 38, and the Divergent actress, 30, announced their engagement, much to the surprise of many.

Neither Rodgers nor Woodley provided any official information about the split, although it appears to be fairly amicable. (The couple has no children.) A source told People that “it just wasn’t working” between the two, stating that Rodgers and Woodley very different people with busy careers and there were obstacles that they couldn’t surmount. They will remain friendly; there’s no bad blood and no drama. It just didn’t work out for them.”

Some have speculated that the split might have been caused by their drastically different political and social views. Whereas Woodley is an outspoken activist about many causes, Rodgers has been a prominent figure in the fight against mandated Covid-19 vaccinations.

Neither has posted anything on Instagram since the breakup announcement.
