The Drake and Kendrick saga continues but this time Lil Wayne may have finally thrown himself into the mix. On Friday (July 12) Weezy remixed his hit with Drake and Tyga, “The Motto,” during a performance at Zouk Nightclub in Las Vegas. If you ever been there, it gets lit, so bare with us.

Get this, in a maybe ingenious move or sneak diss, take your pick, Wayne included bars riffing off of Kendrick Lamar’s hit track “Not Like Us.”

Full stop. Did Weezy pick a side?

This immediately went viral and naturally sparked confusion from the twitter-verses to the TikTok and everywhere in between.

Fans were scratching their heads, questioning whether Wayne was taking shots at his once protege and longtime collaborator, Drake.

ICYMI, the clip showed Wayne EITHER repeating “they not like us” from Kendrick’s song or modifying it to “they don’t like us,” while holding a chain reportedly symbolizing Drake’s October’s Very Own brand.

Right there, what ya’ll think?

Obviously the chats and comment sections were on fire trying to figure out if Wayne and Drake, were drifting apart.

Fall back just bit …

A source close to Wayne clarified in to media outlet, Rolling Stone that the New Orleans rapper was affirming his unwavering loyalty to Drake by saying “they don’t like us.”

Side solidified. Full, stop. Imagine if Wayne dropped a record for Dot. Dream scenario.

The Wayne, Drake history is undeniable. Wayne has supported Drake, whom he signed to his label, Young Money Entertainment, in 2009. The two have collaborated extensively and shown mutual respect throughout their careers. In June, Wayne listed Drake among his top five rappers of all time, alongside Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, Eminem, and the Notorious B.I.G.

The added controversy stems from Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” where he accuses Drake of betrayal with the line, “Fucked on Wayne girl while he was in jail, that’s conniving/Then get his face tatted like a bitch apologizin’.” Wayne’s 2016 memoir, *Gone ‘Til November: A Journal of Rikers Island*, reveals that Drake and Wayne’s girlfriend at the time had a history before Wayne and her got together, a fact only disclosed to him once he was incarcerated. So that part.

Despite the chatter, Lil Wayne’s loyalty to Drake remains steadfast and that’s all that matters.
