Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun have reportedly called off their engagement after 10 months, according to PEOPLE. The outlet reports that the two have been on and off for the last couple of months. At the moment, they are no longer together. Lavigne and Mod Sun got engaged in April 2022. They were last publicly seen together at a Grammys event celebrating Julie Greenwald and Craig Kallman in Los Angeles.
“Avril and Mod Sun have been on and off for the past two months, but are no longer together as a couple,” said an insider. Rumors recently circulated that Lavigne and Tyga were linked romantically after they were spotted getting close together while dining out with one another. The source for PEOPLE says that they are just friends: “Avril and Tyga are genuinely friends and nothing more. There was absolutely no third party involved in the split.”

A rep for Mod Sun addressed the situation in a statement provided to PEOPLE. “They were together and engaged as of three days ago when Mod left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him. Mod will be performing tonight in Portland at The Hawthorne Theater,” they said. Lavigne has not commented on the rumors.
The couple’s relationship was recently the topic of a song on Mod’s latest album, God Save the Teen. The project released earlier this month. There’s a track titled “Avril’s Song” as well as a collaboration between the two on “Shelter.” Mod Sun recently spoke about his relationship with Avril Lavigne during an interview with E! News. “I have found such a partner in this world to go through the chaos that life gives you,” he told the outlet, before adding, “I have found that person. I’m with a real grown woman who has gone through it all 10 times over and she makes me a better person.”
