Kawhi Leonard Reveals His Olympic Plans

Kawhi Leonard is one of the best players in the NBA and as a result, he is currently in Atlanta where the best of the best will be duking it out in the All-Star Game. This season is a big one for Kawhi, who is trying to lead his Los Angeles Clippers to the NBA Finals, for the first time in the franchise’s history. If the team makes it that far, Leonard will have a difficult choice to make, as the Tokyo Olympics are immediately after the Finals in late July.

While speaking to reporters ahead of the All-Star Game, Leonard made it abundantly clear that he wants to play for Team USA, which will be coached by his former boss, Gregg Popovich. Leonard noted that he was down to play in 2020 but COVID-19 put a complete damper on that.

“My plan is to go,” Leonard said. “If I feel up to it and feel ready to go around that time, then I’m going to play.” Team USA is set to be pretty stacked, although it remains to be seen if the Olympics go as planned as COVID continues to be a real threat.

Kanye West’s Presidential Campaign Violated Fundraising Practices, Says An FEC Report

Kanye West’s brief but eventful 2020 presidential campaign kicked off on Independence Day that same year. Running on a platform of environmental stewardship and controversially anti-abortion, most of the rap veteran’s support came from his most avid listeners. According to a Daily Beast report, Ye may face some legal trouble from his failed run after the Federal Election Commission cited several violations in its report of the rapper’s unhinged campaign.

Noted by the publication, the agency reported Kanye’s campaign took multiple donations from minors and possibly accepted contributions from foreign nationals. The report claims that his operation included false names and addresses linked to different shipping facilities on both United States’ coasts.

Finally, a full investigation could be launched into unlawful fundraising practices the 43-year-old hip-hop mogul participated in that helped him amass almost $100,000 in small donations in 2021.

It’s notably unlawful to intentionally take donations from people younger than 18, but Ye’s campaign seemed to purposely target people in this demographic by selling merch bundles on the site. 16-year-old Ian Bloom, who donated to West’s presidential bid, claims he spent $3,280 and has yet to receive any of the items.

“I don’t know what’s happening there,” Ian Bloom told the outlet. “I ordered like 20 hoodies off his campaign website, along with a lot of other people that I know. They said it would be three weeks, and after that I emailed the support team, and the email just wasn’t a thing.”

Of the reported 3,161 donations reported to the publication, students made up over 1,200 of the donors while committing $349,160 in total, $26,540 coming from this year alone. He also additionally pumped $12 million of his own cash into the campaign. We’ll keep you updated with further developments in the case.

Tim Elliott Calls Jordan Espinosa A “Woman Beater” During UFC Fight

Things got pretty heated during the Flyweight match at UFC 259 last night between Tim Elliott and Jordan Espinosa. While Elliott went on to win the fight, the two fighters exchanged some words during one grappling session on the ground that actually got picked up by the mics and ended up surprising Joe Rogan. Essentially, Elliott accused Espinosa of beating his ex-girlfriend about three years ago.

“I heard you choked your girl in 2018. Are you a woman beater? She messaged me,” Elliott says before Espinosa replies saying “Did she? You don’t know the whole story.” Eliott clapped back by saying “I know enough” before Espinosa ended the encounter by retorting “You don’t know s***.”

Following the fight, Elliott was asked about the exchange, where he seemed to be quite embarrassed about it all, noting that he never meant for anyone to hear what was being said.

“I didn’t say that for anybody else to hear, because I don’t know the whole story,” Elliott said. “It’s not something I wanted the whole world to hear. That was supposed to be between him and I. I didn’t know the mic was going to pick up on it.”

Espinosa’s manager was livid about the ordeal, saying that it was reckless slander on Elliott’s part. Regardless, the fight is over and neither combatant can take back was said. However, the UFC might need to think about their mic process in the future.

Jim Jones Says He & Cam’ron Would’ve “Smoked” Quavo & Jack Harlow

Quavo and Jack Harlow came out victorious in their 2-on-2 game against Lil Baby and 2 Chainz for $500K. Jack made a few shots and assists but it’s no secret that the Migos rapper emerged as the MVP. 2 Chainz still had a strong performance but it dwindled over the course of the game while Lil Baby struggled to make a shot.

It seems like the combined efforts of 2 Chainz and Baby didn’t impress Jim Jones, nor did Quavo and Harlow. Following last night’s game, Capo hit the ‘Gram to express his thoughts on the game and it seems like he thinks Quavo and Harlow would be no match for himself and Cam’ron. “I was lookin’ at these little All-Star 2-on-2s or whatever. Me and Cam would’ve smoked Quavo and Jack Harlow. Did them lil n***as bad,” said Jones with a smirk on his face, before calling out Bleacher Report for their line-up of rapper-athletes. “Y’all need to call some real playas sometime. I’m here,” he added.

Cam’ron’s background as a ballplayer has been well-documented throughout his career, in both his music as well as the semi-autobiographical self-produced, Killa Season. It’s unclear just how good Jones is on the court but he does play regularly.

Do you think he and Cam’ron be able to beat Quavo and Harlow on a 2v2?

“Gorilla Glue Woman” Tessica Brown Discovers Breast Lumps Aren’t Cancerous

Tessica Brown can breathe another sigh of relief after she managed to forgo yet another scary ordeal. Nicknamed “Gorilla Glue Woman,” the Lousiana native went viral on social media after she took to TikTok to explain that her hair had been stuck in a slick-back for weeks because she used Gorilla Glue adhesive spray when she ran out of regular hair spray. Thousands of dollars and followers later, Tessica has since made a full recovery from her once immovable hair. Seemingly enjoying her post-viral sensation life, she recently stepped out for a breast augmentation consultation where she discovered lumps in her tissue. Luckily for Tessica, it turns out the lumps are benign.

Jessica’s manager Gina Rodriguez told TMZ that the test results for the 2 lumps, one in each breast, ended up coming back negative. Tessica, of course, was thrilled to hear the news. Rodriguez added that doctors say the benign cysts are the result of fibrocystic breast disease, which will come with its own complications.

The publication reports that the disease generally makes it a bit tougher for doctors to identify potentially cancerous lumps. Because of this, Tessica will now be required to have a mammogram every 6 months.

The viral sensation recently went back to Dr. Michael Obeng, who removed the glue from her head, to get consulted for a breast lift/implants and same abdominal liposuction. The lumps were discovered during the pre-surgery consultation.

Thankfully, Tessica will be alright.

Siena Liggins Delivers A Sultry Pop Banger On “No Valet”

Siena Liggins has been making quite the name for herself over the last little while as the artist continues to build upon their sound and give fans something to be excited about. Liggins’ influences are mostly from the pop world and based on her output, it’s clear she is already one of the more unique pop artists out there. On April 27th, she will be dropping her debut album Ms. Out Tonight and one of the latest singles from the project is called “No Valet.”

In a statement, Liggins described this song as a “steamy, downtempo braggadocio disguised as a backseat car anthem for whatever happens after the after-party.” This is a pretty apt description for it as Liggins sings lustfully over a brooding instrumental, all while delivering some hedonistic lyrics that take pop sounds into an unfamiliar place. In a short amount of time, Liggins is able to showcase her succinct songwriting ability, and if you love pop music and want to hear something new, then this is definitely for you.

Quotable Lyrics:

Girl I can feel your eyes on me
Think you wanna leave but not alone
And I can keep you company
Can we get away just me and you so

Study Suggests Blood Type May Impact Likelihood Of Getting COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has been affecting our daily lives for more than a year now as we continue dealing with the virus. Vaccination rollouts have been gradual and recovery finally seems to be on the horizon. Recovery for the pandemic of the relatively-new virus is in part dependent on the spread and growth of the virus at a pace that experts can continue to track. A new study suggesting that people with certain blood types may be more likely to contract the virus may delay pandemic healing efforts a bit more.

Michael Ciaglo/Getty Images

Research published on March 3 in the scientific journal Blood Advances suggests that individuals with Type A blood could be more at risk of infection than people with other blood types. They note that if you do have Type A blood, you still shouldn’t be too concerned if you’re practicing regular COVID-19 prevention methods.

Researches essentially discovered that the new coronavirus strain is particularly attracted to the Blood Group A antigen that’s found on respiratory cells. “It is interesting that the viral RBD only really prefers the type of blood group A antigens that are on respiratory cells, which are presumably how the virus is entering most patients and infecting them,” said Sean Stowell, who is the co-author of the study.

Antonio Masiello/Getty Images

“Blood type is a challenge because it is inherited and not something we can change. … But if we can better understand how the virus interacts with blood groups in people, we may be able to find new medicines or methods of prevention.”

They further suggested that this is even more reason for people with Type A Blood to get vaccinated if they’re eligible to be.

Adam Silver Slandered As NBA All-Star Game Begins To Unravel

When Adam Silver was first hired to become the NBA’s commissioner, fans felt like he was doing a good job. From unique initiatives to allowing the players to protest racial injustice, it seemed like Silver had a handle on things. However, throughout the pandemic, Silver has fallen out of favor as he continues to make decisions that put the players at risk during the pandemic.

Perhaps his most controversial decision was to go through with this year’s NBA All-Star Game. Various players were rightfully upset with the decision but Silver isn’t backing down. The game is going down tonight and just hours ago, Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons were exempt from the game due to a COVID-19 scare.

The news coming out of Atlanta has left many fans in disbelief as to just how reckless holding the game was. In fact, Silver is catching a ton of heat on Twitter, as fans continue to call him out while also sharing some hilarious memes about the entire situation. Needless to say, Silver will not be a popular man when this is all said and done.

Despite everything, the game is still going to happen today, as Team LeBron and Team Durant try to put on a show for the fans at home. In the meantime, check out the best reactions to the situation, below.
